Some Advice From Y'all Would Be Great!
I'll put the TL;DR here actually: After Decisive Strike is nerfed the way they presented it (and i hope it goes through), should i replace Enduring, Spirit Fury, both or neither?
Read from here for more information...
Decisive Strike is easily my least favorite Perk.
And no, it's not cause i can't keep up with them or anything.
It's because being stunned is VERY high on my list of things i dislike in video games.
I mean, it's literally a "You can't play for a while" effect.
The way they described the new Decisive Strike means that, with the playstyle as Killer i prefer, i won't encounter the effects of Decisive Strike at all.
(Of course, there are exceptions.)
Great for me!
Here's the thing: I run Enduring ALWAYS, purely to counter Decisive Strikes.
And i slotted in Spirit Fury to have the both of them help greatly in chases and to have that combination as a back-up buff to myself incase no one ran Decisive Strike.
Now that Decisive Strike will become what's said, it removes a pretty big incentive for me to run Enduring.
And without Enduring, i certainly won't have as much incentive to run Spirit Fury either.
Not saying they're bad or anything.
But i am wondering maybe it'll be time to move onto other Perks by that point.
Brutal Strength was "required" on normal Killers for a long time, and i was glad to see it not be that anymore.
This is kinda the same thing with Enduring, except it's a personal thing.
I'm not perfect, but i'm not having much trouble reading Survivor bait and baiting them on pallet drops.
So I may not "need" Enduring anymore
So, question: After the Decisive Strike change hits, do you think i should switch Enduring and/or Spirit Fury for something else?
I know you can't make me switch Perks, but let's pretend you can. ๐
Oh, a final note: Only these 2 Perks, the other 2 i have equipped will never leave my equipment unless their concepts are changed and/or they're massively nerfed.

Comments
I don't know what the other 2 perks you use are but from what you're saying yeah it looks like you won't ''need'' them anymore. They're still fun but no longer required since you can handle loops.
What other perks are you using and is there anything else you have trouble with? Or do you think you might enjoy running some perks that could just be for fun now that you have room for them?
Also it sounds like you only play one Killer?
Depends on which killer you're using. If it's Freddy, Pig, Billy etc then I'd say keep it.
Hag or Nurse I've never used it anyway.
If its wraith like your profile pic well I never unlocked it on him and I've been doing ok with what I have.
The other 2 Perks are Barbecue & Chili & Hex: Devour Hope.
I'm not removing Hex: Devour Hope because i love trying to get it to work.
I'm not removing Barbecue & Chili because of the extra BP and that it synergises way too well with Hex: Devour Hope.
I like these Perks even if they don't synergise well with other Perks: Bamboozle, Brutal Strength, Enduring, Hex: Haunted Ground, Pop Goes The Weasel, Save The Best For Last, Territorial Imperative.
Yes. Well, at least for now. I currently only play Wraith.
Wraith indeed.
I would keep running Enduring for a bit, then switch it out for something else as time passes. Once the new DS rolls out, everyone will use it for a while. Then the interest dies down and we are back to the usual.
Even then, if DS drops a bit in popularity, Spirit Fury and Enduring is quite a strong combination. I would just use it anyway. But, if you do intend to swap it out, my question would be, would you prefer defence (Discordance, Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasle, etc) or offense perks (Bamboozle, Sloppy Butcher)?
Yeah, i guess i could run it for a bit after the update hits.
And count how many times i get stabbed.
And yeah, i know it's a strong combination, it's helped me a lot except at the Killer shack.
Definitely more interested in offense Perks, Wraith to me is very weak in all sorts of defense except camping. (Though i'm sure you can do more if you focus on it, which i won't due to my other 2 Perks that i run. (You can see which those are in an earlier comment and why those.))
There's a lot of defensive perks and not a whole lot of offensive perks that go with your build but maybe you'd like Dying Light since you're using Devour? Once you get to 3 stacks you'll be snowballing and get to that 5th one very quickly and Mori the Obsession. Depending on when that is in the match it could mean that if they're doing well then they'll stop doing well and if they're doing bad you'll have already won.
Besides that maybe you'll want STBFL just for the cooldown so you won't have to wait as long before cloaking after the first hit, or maybe my favorite, Rancor in case Devour gets destroyed you'll still have ''locations'' and Mori the Obsession. My only other suggestion would be Haunted Grounds but that could actually endanger your Devour so maybe not.
Alright, i've been thinking about this longer than i wanted.
For now, it's still gonna be Enduring & Spirit Fury.
#1: I won't have to care about loops thanks to Enduring, yet i can try, and sometimes succeed, a smack if they're being cocky.
#2: Punishment is nihil thanks to Enduring.
#3: The true beauty of the combo is when Spirit Fury destroys the pallet and the stun is 75% negated thanks to Enduring, this almost always opens them up to a free hit. The exception being if they slammed the pallet from the inside of the Killer shack. (And probably some other locations in main buildings.
#4: The main reason i decided not to do Save The Best For Last is because of Devour Hope. Certainly it's a great Perk now, but i run Devour Hope and my primary goal in every trial is to get it Tokens. Save The Best For Last is great except in 2 aspect: Obviously, you can lose Tokens, but more importantly in this build, it needs some time to build up. I'll more than likely hit a high count of Tokens before i get my 1-hits on Devour Hope, but once i do get my 1-hits, then Save The Best For Last is very useless. Again, it's great to fall back on, but my goal isn't to fall back on it.
#5: Dying Light is one i don't do since, by the time you can kill, it's usually just not worth it. Plus it doesn't work on Cleansing & Opening Exit Gates, which is kinda bull i think.
#6: Rancor's literally a weaker version of Devour Hope. Nah man, i'm going for the ULTIMATE POWER! Plus it's another back up: Nah.
#7: Discordance IS good. But i have an Ultra Rare on Wraith that's similar and also pretty good. Granted it's an Ultra Rare, but as long as i have even just 1 of these, i won't consider this Perk. You can judge me all you want for thinking that. ๐
#8: I dislike running any Hex Perks alongside my Devour Hope, especially on Wraith. I need to keep this Perk secret. So definitely no Ruin, since it'll make them start searching immediately. (I don't care how many on these forums say they just hit the Skill Checks, my Survivors certainly NEVER do, they go treasure hunting instead.)
#9: Pop Goes The Weasel is definitely i'll be keeping on reserves. It synergises well with "Ya' gotta leave the hook to get a Token for Devour Hope!" Once i feel Decisive Strike has died down and i get rushed a few times, i might swap this in.
#10: Bamboozle is another one i keep on reserve. This will be swapped in under the same conditions as Pop Goes The Weasel, except when i'm having troubles with chases instead of rushers.
#11: Sloppy Butcher, just like Discordance, is one i won't think about since Wraith has a similar Add-on. And it's only Rare as well, which is a rarity i see a LOT. Yeah, once i run out, i may swap it in if rushers go cray-cray, but other than that: Nah.
#12: Hex: Haunted Ground is actually one i did like running before, since you're kinda creating an Entity Roulette, but it doesn't hide Devour Hope any better: Once Haunted Ground is cleansed, they'll definitely keep searching for Devour Hope anyway. And then there's still the problem of them getting lucky once every 3 matches and cleansing my Devour Hope instead. This would only force me to run Thrill of the Hunt as well, which turns it into Totem defense, which i never like, cause all you have to do as Survivor is start cleansing once the Killer picks up a Survivor. Against a Wraith, you'll have enough time that way. And if they drop the Survivor to go protect their Totem, someone else can heal the dropped Survivor, nullifying any progress that was made by the Killer.
TL;DR: I stick with Enduring & Spirit Fury until AT LEAST a few days after the Decisive Strike nerf.
I'd say keep enduring since it will basically nullify the new D-strike stun time completely if it remains how they described it. Maybe get rid of Spirit Fury tho if you think you can handle loops. I abandoned Spirit Fury pretty fast on my Freddy :P
I can handle loops, but i love the openings it can present. Can end chases where you'd normally be lead to the next loop.
If we were talking about Brutal Strength, then yeah, i'd drop it. ๐
it really depends on you tbh...
i could go ahead and tell you what to use, but in the end its just about how you play the game. if you are used to a certain perk setup, changing it will lead to some missplays from you.
but based on my own experiences, here is my opinion on enduring:
enduring is a great perk for playing agressivley. you can just go on and swing through the pallets, as the stun is very short. combine this with spirit fury and it is an extremely strong combo. i personally wouldnt say you should change these out, unless you find perks that fit your personal playstyle more.
i personally do not run this perk often, unless i play a killer that i know struggles with pallets (e.g. freddy). on the other hand i really like Monitor And Abuse, so i use it farily often (its a base perk for my Trapper, Freddy and Billy) and i find myself being in a bad spot when i dont use it, simply because i can not handle the smaller FoV. also, Bloodwarden has become one of my favourite perks to use, as it really gives you a good chance in the end game. also, i enjoy the anti healing meta, using A Nurses Calling an Sloppy Butcher.
TL;DR use the perks you feel the most comfortable with. its completely up to you.
have a nice day! ^^
Thanks for your insight! ๐
While you may have noticed that i already made a decision for now, i'm planning to come back here and take some good ol' advice from all y'all if things don't feel as..."needed" anymore. ("Needed" referring to me running it purely for against the current Decisive Strike, of course.)
