Will you answer these questions truthfully?

Are we posting Star Wars prequel memes here now?

But that hand is literally just a lump of wood with no joints. It shouldn't move.
Really, Ash should just hold items in his left hand. But that would require new and unique coding, model rigging, and animations just to make one cosmetic look little more realistic, so I wouldn't hold my breath.
Honestly, I'm surprised they removed hand animations just for that specific cosmetic; it's a pretty nice attention to detail.

1 - I only know about it because I had a friend who was really into it, but I haven't listened to it that much. From my limited exposure I'd say that it's alright.
2 - I know nothing.
3 - I like it.
4 - I know nothing.
5 - I know nothing.
6 - *Jon Snow intensifies*
7 - They're okay. They had some cool songs, even if they
stolesampled the amazing melody from Tom's Diner for one of their songs. I haven't listened to any of their recent stuff tho (if they have recent stuff? IDK).8 - Christopher Eccleston was great, David Tennant started out poorly but did better over time and had some of the best written stories, Matt Smith was great but had some garbage storylines, Peter Capaldi was okay but had a ton of bad storylines, and I can't judge Jodie Whittaker because almost every aspect of the new season's writing completely sucks IMO.
9 - I know nothing.

"Please do not be alarmed"
I'm very alarmed! I don't like it.

I've finally changed my PSN username! It felt so satisfying!
Also: EW! What happened to the forum!?

No!! The spark has gone out. 😥

@TreemanXD Not gonna lie, I lava that heat pun.

@LCGaster I guess you could say it's pretty... fire?

@pemberley Just kill them?
Just find the Urban Evasion P3 Claudette lurking around the map after everyone has left; it's not like it's that hard to search every corner of the map OMEGALUL GG EZ BABY KILLER
@pemberley Seriously though, this is part of the reason I always run Whispers when I play on PC. I suck at using mouse and keyboard, so usually people will sneak around the edges of the map instead of going through the open gate because "ur trash killer".
If you don't have Whispers you can go do something else until they leave, you can DC, or you can search aimlessly for them for 15+ minutes.
Sure you can report these people, but you have to wait for the game to end to do that. Until then they're still wasting your time and holding the game hostage. While I'm not sure I agree with removing all point gains besides unhooks or cleansing NOED; I would definitely like to see some in-game consequences for Survivors not leaving just to spite the Killer.

The thread has a new name?!
Well, 'The Entity's Hangout' sounds good to me!

Not gonna lie, I needed that laugh. Have a pic of a surprised Legion:
Thank you. I love it! 😄

So Bamboozle on Legion is funny as heck, seriously. If a survivor is heading towards a window just Frenzy to get there first, block it with Bamboozle then come back to them.
It's the most satisfying thing I've seen in a while.
- *me reading this post*
- "That sounds like a good idea!"
- *puts my Tier 1 Bamboozle on Legion*
- *gets the Game map*
- "Hey they're going for the window that drops onto the lower floor! It'll cut them off and trap them up there with me."
- *starts vaulting window*
- "Wait a minute..."

I really wish PSN would record/let players see data like this; I'm really curious now how many bloodpoints I've earned throughout my time playing DBD.
-
Nice try, but we all know the opposite of wholesome is emoselohw.
-
Es tut mir leid, aber nein. (No, but politely and auf Deutsch)
-
I call most of the Killers by their real first names.
So...
- The Trapper - Evan
- The Nurse - Sally
- The Shape - Michael Myers
- The Hag - Lisa
- The Huntress - Anna
- The Nightmare - Freddy
- The Clown - Jeffrey
- The Spirit - Rin
- The Legion - Susie, Joey, Julie, or Frank
That said I do use nicknames for the others or in specific situations.
- The Wraith - Bing Bong Boi, Philly, or The Invisible Man.
- The Hillbilly - Mad Max, Mildly Miffed Max, Mad Mex, or Chex Mex.
- The Cannibal - Tum-Tums
- The Pig - Lil' Mandy, Mandy, or Katy Perry ('cuz you're gonna hear her roar).
- The Plague - Vommy Mommy
- Anna Banana whenever I'm facing Anna instead of playing her.
- Fredward whenever Freddy gets no Kills.
- Mikul Mirs if I'm playing in a SWF and we meet a Michael.
- Jason Wannabe if I'm playing in a SWF and we meet an Evan.
- Roy instead of Jeffrey if I'm in a SWF. Specifically, "What the hell!? It's Roy!" (Long story short, that's taken from a really bad horror game I watched on YouTube)
- Weegion instead of Legion if I've watched Puppers recently.
My favorite nickname is either Anna Banana, Roy, Mandy, or Katy Perry. I honestly can't choose.

In my opinion most the survivors look a lot worse in-game that are licensed.
I'll agree with that. Like I can understand they need to differentiate in-game Survivors from their film counterparts if you can't get likeness rights, but I also don't get why they end up looking so...
Well...
Sort of irrelevant, but the same person who edited Quentin did one for Laurie & Tapp too.
I think it's honestly such a shame that BHVR didn't/couldn't secure likeness rights. It doesn't ruin the game for me, but it does make me sad.

@PhantomMask20763 More sneks!

@TreemanXD even doggos and kitty's?

Wait, are we posting pictures of snakes? Because I love snakes!
Maybe I'm weird, but I think they're adorable!
Also; did I hear something about a Friendship Cult?
-
I don't think Quentin looks that bad, but he would look so much better with Kyle Gallner's likeness.
I doubt they'll ever change him (licensing issues and the expense of getting likeness rights make it hard and there's no monetary incentive for BHVR to change him), but I'd love it if they did make DbD's Quentin more like the film's Quentin.
Someone on reddit did a photoshop edit of our dreams though, so at least we have that.
-
I support this change and your suggestions!
As for more suggestions, I have some ideas.
- Multiple hit zones in a single skill check - Basically instead of one good and great skillcheck bar, you get two or three and you have to try and hit all of them to avoid regression.
- Multiple hit zones, but they appear as you hit a skill check and your line reverses direction - After hitting one skillcheck, your little tick suddenly goes counter-clockwise towards a new skillcheck that you have to hit. The process could repeat itself if desired.
- Separate great and good skillchecks areas - Essentially, just put some space between the great skillcheck section and the good skillcheck section so that the player has a little more pressure on them to actually hit the great skillcheck if they try to go for it. The order of the two areas doesn't really matter IMO, and could be kept randomized to make it interesting.
- Press the skillcheck button/trigger (depending on your device) instead of hitting it - So instead of just hitting a button and letting the tick hit the skillcheck area, you have to hold down the button while it moves over a skillcheck area. The longer you hold it down, the better the skillcheck; with great skillchecks being awarded only if you get the entire (or very nearly the entire) skillcheck area.
- The above modification could be complicated by having multiple skillcheck areas - So, instead of just holding a button down, you need to hold down while you're on a skillcheck area, release as you leave it, and hold down when you enter a new skillcheck area. This allows for an easy increase in difficulty by adding more skillcheck areas and/or reducing their size.
- Instead of a skillcheck wheel, replace it with a curve - Your skillcheck tick will start at one end and move from right to left, or left to right, along a twisting path. As the tick moves up or down a bend in it's path it slows down and speeds up. It would force the player to pay attention and have a good understanding of their timing in order to hit skillchecks on or adjacent to bends.
What do y'all think of my suggestions?
-
No problem! I hope you find more cheery music to turn your frown upside down. 🙃
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sySlY1XKlhMHere's another song I thought of. It's slow, but I like to think of it as an anti-sadness song.

I don't why, but after I read this thread I thought of this song, so I thought I'd share.

Ayyy! A fellow Quentin main!
I'll admit that his eyes are a bit comically wide open in that picture, but I think his chin and cheekbones make up for it. I stand by finding him prettier than most of the other Survivors in the game.
-
Personally I think Nea,
Quentin,
Dwight,
and Meg have the cutest faces out of all the Survivors.

Do not google it.
I repeat, DO NOT google it.
That just makes me really want to google it!
Can someone give a very vague and non-graphic description of it to satisfy my curiosity?
-
Okay thanks! I haven't heard that much about either game, but what I have heard has been mostly good and they sound really neat.
Time to try and hunt the originals down! >:D
-
[Removed a double post :p]

Dear Nea Karlsson,
Sincerely,
Philip Ojomo
-
It'd be absolutely amazing, that's what.
-
I support this joke buff!
Maybe it could be the add-on to replace her Iridescent Heads, since (according to McClean) they're going the way of the dinosaur sooner rather than later.
There's even potentially a canon reason; she took tons of frag grenades from all those WW1 German Soldiers she killed.
-
I'm not a Doctor Main, but I aim where I think they'll run to rather than directly at them whenever I play him.
It's probably because I'm a Huntress Main, but leading the target just always made sense to me.
-
I'm sure all seven of them are chuckling somewhere...
So pleased with how they well they kept their true power hidden.
-
Off-topic (though that's the name of the game around these parts), but has anyone played Silent Hill 1 or Silent Hill 2?
I've been thinking of tracking down copies and playing them, but I'm bit curious as to whether or not they're worth playing.
-
@Ember_Hunter Awesome! :D
I'm SO glad that DCs happen every, or every other, game. It's definitely what makes this game fun.
-
You've single-handedly made me interested in seeing the new Child's Play.
-
I'm not, I'm asexual (sorry if that's TMI).
I'm kind of curious about this too. I've heard from multiple people that DBD has a fairly large LGBT community, but I still seem to get called a variety of homophobic slurs in post-game chat.
-
I guess you could say that there are a Legion of them?
-
Anna and Susie.
Huntress because she was the Killer who brought me back to the game after leaving when I had a lot of bad and unfun games as Wraith during the Howling Grounds event.
Legion because I enjoy how weird and different Legion plays in comparison to every other Killer. Also running around smacking everyone a bunch of times is both fun and generates a TON of bloodpoints.
I still play and enjoy the other Killers, but Huntress and Legion are the ones I enjoy and play the most.
-
I'm a Killer Main, but I too have a story:
Neither of my teammates would work on gens (Ruin) and after being hooked they both killed themselves on first hook. I finished the first generator after they were dead and didn't run away from Billy when he arrived. He took pity on me and let me fix a generator and bonk him with a pallet (his idea, not mine) before carrying me to the Hatch.
-
Just a small graveyard boy~
Living (sort of?) in a lonely world~
He took the midnight boat, going anywhere~
-
I know right? This is the new map too, so I don't know what that's even a possible spawn point.
-
If the game looked more like this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKo2l3_BdWofor Survivors (if it was this dark for Killers they would never find anyone and that'd be boring instead of scary) this game would already be a LOT scarier. There wouldn't be a single person who wouldn't scream when Scratched Mirror Myers jumps out from behind a corner.
Remove Red Stains and Terror Radiuses and it'd be even more horrifying to play Survivor; you'd have to listen for their breathing or other sound cues (Anna's lullaby, Phillip's footsteps, the soft hum of a idle chainsaw, Rin's vacuum cleaner) or you could bump into them while rounding a corner.
Of course, it'd also be grossly inbalanced and probably get boring to play as Survivor since you'd have virtually no way to avoid the Killer or know what they're doing during a chase.
Maybe it could work as an alternative game mode, but I'm not sure there are enough players who are actually interested in playing a HORROR version of Dead by Daylight for it to work or be worth BHVR's time. 🙁
-
I recently had a pretty tense game trying to keep this totem alive. All of the four Survivors touched it at one point or another throughout the game, so I was more than a little concerned for the little dude's safety.
Not pictured, but directly behind me was a generator.
