Hex spawns are just weird because sometimes you'll spawn on Shelter Woods where the totem is as visible from a distance as the sun is, while you can spawn on RPD and finding totems there is like finding a needle in a hay stack. I think totem spawns overall need to be improved as I hate RNG and it's just annoying when totems are out in the open and it's the easiest totem cleanse of the survivors' life. Hex perks that need a buff imo are Huntress' Lullaby, TOTH, and Crowd Control. Huntress' Lullaby can be a fun perk but good survivors can counter it easily because of their experience with skill checks. Crowd Control is just a worse Bamboozle, so it being a hex is insulting. The nerf to TOTH was one of the stupidest decisions I've ever witness in my almost 17 months playing this game. It wasn't that great before and now it's just worse. It would be a great counter to boons if you brought back the notification for cleansing and blessing.
Yeah I never understood why some thought Crow Control was better than Bamboozle. Bamboozle gets the advantage of not being a hex so it can't be broken AND you get an increase in vault speed which is also a big part of it that came really help

9: I have my preferences, mostly Blight, Billy, Huntress, and Plague. Probably would be Spirit if someone can actually play as her to give me a concrete opinion about how she feels to play against post nerf.
10: Hag and Trickster can be deleted from the game for all I care.
11: Yui because Yui.
12: Neas are always toxic lol.
Good choices.

Yo thanks for having me on the show. I’m very excited for this and can’t wait to talk with you about the state of the game. I’ll try to answer the questions as much as I can.
- It was June 1, 2020, I was in my room browsing Steam looking for a new game to play. I looked in survival horror genre and found DBD. I read its description saying it was a 4v1 asymmetrical horror which was something very unique and it seemed popular so I was intrigued to buy it. I’ve seen no gameplay on it going in so I was pretty much starting to play with no expectations on how the game is played. I did do the tutorial but that didn’t really help as I pretty much didn’t know what I was doing my first ever match.
- Honestly I’m not sure where it came from, I think one of my friends called me it one time and it just sounded fitting. I eventually made it my gamer name. It just has a nice ring to it.
Hello Gann... We meet again.

That's such a good idea! And it would be so easy to make that ability basekit. It's fair and balanced too, no one seems to complain about a single blight rush on other killers since they can't attack anyway, and it gives nemesis fairly earned and modest mobility option. Why don't they give him this??
We should totally bug the devs about this
Yeah giving him too much mobility would make him too powerful since being really good at controlling the map and a great chaser is insane. But something like this would be perfectly acceptable and would be a big help. Would make things like BBQ a lot better on him to since from my experience BBQ doesn't work to well on him.

I wish Nemesis was more a rusher and stalker.
I like the idea of his tentacle being used in the mori, but that's it. Maybe use it as pull off animation too
Exactly. Nemesis is just supposed to always be on your ass and be extremely hard to deal with. In DBD he is a good chaser and all that but in the wrong way. Nemesis is always able to catch up when he needs it. In DBD he can't. 1 reason I love the serum. You can catch up. Close the gap.

Or give him the Ability to Leap(A Mini Map will show up)& it will make him Jump & the Location you chose would be the Place you land.
A neat idea but wouldn't really work on some areas or maps. Like how would that look indoors? Just flying through the ceiling?

I saw a lot of DCs before anyways. Hasn't changed much for me.

Heyyyy devs, you know what you're supposed to do here.
No, not nerf nemesis, give him toned version of this addon baseline.
Would be awesome but I expect a nerf more than something as simple as this.

Yeah, I thought they were talking about the skin too.
Yeah I expected that. The skin is cool though. I'm buying that and the SH skins day 1. I already have 1570 for James saved up. Then I'll just have to whip out $20 out of my booty to get the Nemesis and Pyramid Head skin.
-
@JacksonWise said:
Considering Nemesis doesn't have a secondary ability, they could still totally do this!
Yeah it would be terrifying. You're just running from him and he is very far away then all of the sudden he sprints at your ass and closes the gap quickly for a second.

Because you are the only mastermind playing against the same 4 survivors each time
I can go load it up play like 5 matches and just show who I when against here. All different people.

you play a game with 48 players all the time? quit your bullshit
Yeah that's how I have this much progress. I usually find matches in like a minute. Pretty quick.
-
I don't care for the kills. The game just simply is no fun. I have to play harder to even be able to do a single thing. Who the hell has fun running around in circles? It would be fun if I can actually hit them but I have to try super hard just for a couple hits which ends up being frustrating. Not fun.

People did interviews on here?

you think i'll fall for that? that game died thanks to absolutely survivor sided balance, masterminds can't do ######### unless they only use camera builds
I mean I play it all the time. Mastermind is definitely the power role.
-
I suggest play more games. I specifically suggest REsistance. Really great game it is.
-
Survivors that use the same meta perks every single game.
-
Not remaking the Resident Evil chapter so it's actually good.

Stranger things.
I looove when you are facing something that is beyond "human-with-stick" cliche. At the release I actually felt quite threatened and terrified just by the sounds and look of that THING that was chasing me.
I really hope next killer will hit the same atmosphere, since Nemesis was a letdown. Instead of a Pyramidhead wannabe and 2 zombies (which is laughable when we are talking about zombie apocalypse genre), we could've gotten Hunter, Licker, Ustanak, give Nemesis his iconic launcher, or at least more than 2 zombies, for Christ sake!
So yeah, I wish Behavior would stir up their game.
Yeah Nemesis could've been so much more. But they did the bare minimum.

I played RE 4 since I was little. RE is something like a childhood game for me next to Call of Duty black ops zombies.
I am a huge zombie fan, love the concept of them beeing a slow but constant threat. I still enjoy watching or playing zombie themed games/movies to this day.
I do really like Silent Hill aswell, just like the Evil within I also really like that creepy weird horror atmoshpere with very strange looking monstrosities.
RE4 was my first. While not my favorite I still absolutely love that one.

Yeah, Nemesis's outfit in the remake was not the way to go. I'm also not the biggest fan of his toothbrush-bristle teeth, but that's besides the point.
It sucks that he didn't stay in his "human" form for more than like a half an hour into the game.
I still think Mr. X got treated way better. It's basically like they were reversed. Mr. X got upgraded while Nemesis was downgraded or kept the same in a way.

The 2 remake was fantastic, as well. Was probably more "survival" horror than 7 was.
The 3 remake was pretty good, but definitely lacking compared to the 2 remake. I hate how much they cut from the original. They also made Nemesis look kinda stupid in my opinion.
8 was really good in my opinion. Probably not as good as 7 or the 2 remake, but still great. It's biggest flaw was that some of it's characters weren't fleshed out enough. I'm hoping they fix that with it's DLC coming out.
8 had a case of being a bit overhyped. I played it all in 1 sitting. It was definitely good but yeah the last games were just better. I'm glad your not one of those who just says RE3R is bad. It was disappointing to see things go but as it stands its still good and fun. And I don't really like Nemesis' design either. Well actually I don't mind his face. I thought his face was cool but I hated ditching the trench coat. They wanted to ditch it because they wanted him to be more unique from Mr. X. Even though he would've still been pretty unique. I mean at least trash bags was not the way to go.

Imagine your favorite license not being Fun World. /s
Anyway, I really like A Nightmare On Elm Street and Halloween, but I'd say my favorite in DbD is probably Resident Evil. And I feel like most people on here know by now that I prefer the modern games/characters.
I still remember playing 7 for the first time.
I started my play through at dusk, and stayed up late into the night because I was so immersed in the story. Every one of Jack's footsteps shook me to my core. Just knowing he was gaining on me and was soon going to catch me all the while laughing and mocking me in that Southern accent of his was the scariest moment in gaming I've ever experienced.
Ah, and then there was when I beat Madhouse mode.
I was in a voice-chat with my friend, as we agreed to start our runs together and see who would finish first. We both struggled a lot, and ended up staying up all night beating it. I still remember, as the sun rose above Louisiana, so did it rise outside my window,
Such great memories...
It's such a pity Jack and Ethan will likely never come to DbD.
7 was a great game. I personally like RE2 Remake more as it recreated something I adore fantastically while perfecting the mechanics of survival horror and is just the perfect modern survival horror game for me. RE7 was still great though. One of my favorites still. I liked it more than 8.

Laurie: Loomis
Leatherface: Matthew McConaughey
The Pig: Lawrence Gordon
Tapp: Zeke
Quentin: Nancy
Ash: Pablo
Cheryl: Harry Mason
Pinhead: Butterball
Bill: Coach
Steve: Steve
Nancy: Robin
Jill: Rebecca Chambers
Leon: Billy Coen
Nemesis: Lisa Trevor
Lisa Trevor is probably the most fitting for DBD's iteration of Nemesis. None of the other characters really fit Nemesis for how he works in DBD. Obviously Lisa would need some severe animation reworking but the power can work just fine with her.
-
@Dr_Loomis said:
...who would you chose?
James Sutherland is set to appear as an alternative for Cheryl, breaking the male/female only barrier.
Ok, legendary skins are vastly overpriced, but given the option, which character would you like to see as an alt for a current licensed addition?
Remember, strictly one for each licensed character.
Here's some I would like to see...
Freddy: 1984 Freddy
Leatherface: remake Leatherface
Michael Myers: Burnt Myers
Pig: Hoffman Pig
Pinhead: Butterball
Nemesis: Mr X
Detective Tapp: Adam (Saw 1)
Leon: Barry Burton
Jill: Ada Wong
Laurie Strode: Dr Loomis
Quentin: 1984 Nancy
A lot of these wouldn't make sense. Legendary skins change the character into another character. So remake Leatherface, Burnt Myers, and Classic Freddy don't really count. They are just a different version of the same character. It's basically the same thing as making Classic Nemesis a legendary skin. Same character just a different version.

@AGM said:
Some of Nemesis' add-ons definitely need changing, but most of these ideas are wacky, unrealistic, and bad.
"Wouldn't it be cool if the zombies had rocket launchers and could climb walls or fly?"
Most of the add-ons just need number changes. Umbrella badge from 30s to 60s. Base hinder on contamination from .25s to .6s, Licker Tongue from .15s to .4s. It sounds like we agree on this though: Marvin's Blood nerfed from 1 extra mutation point per survivor tentacle strike hit to .5, but base mutation rate buffed from 3 mutation points to 3.5 points per new contamination and from 1 point to 1.5 points per tentacle strike hit on already infected survivors.
That kind of stuff.
Not weird zombification timers and tentacles shooting from zombies.
I don't get how their weird. If you played RE3R it is perfectly fitting.
-
No. Prestiging is fine as is. It is just the perk grind that is the massive issue. The whole point of prestiging is to lose everything and gain something like the bloody cosmetics. All they need to do is fix the perks by removing the tiers and that will immediately also help with prestiging. But the way Prestiging works is perfectly fine.
-
My favorite thing is Leon
My least favorite thing is Nemesis and every other RE thing that isn't Leon and his RE4 skin. RE X DBD just ######### sucks giant turd balls.

That means no more RE DBD garbage so I'm all for it
-
Obviously it's Nemesis, Jill, and Leon. So much depth in the lore page.

Lisa Trevor has a tentacle that comes from her arm? Can’t remember that, but I just watched a let’s play once of the older RE games..
No there is a bunch of tentacles that come out of her body. She led the way for Nemesis' creation.

We already have him, I'd rather have Chucky now
Where is he? All I saw was Lisa Trevor but with Nemesis as a skin. Is Oni Nemesis?
-
100% Nemesis. AI minions simply do not work in DBD if they gave him his actual abilities he would fit right in perfectly but they tried to make the game feel more like RE which is obviously a bad thing.
-
I hope Nemesis is the next license.

@pizzaduffyhp90 said:
Who would you like to see as a killer from a comic book I would say either The Joker, Scarecrow, or Carnage
I would but realistically we won't. At least not these types in like the DC or Marvel universe. So many people associate comic books with mainly the superheroes. We could possibly see stuff from actual comics about serial killers that have nothing to do with these superhero universes.
-
@MrCalac123 said:
I think both were done very well, I think people complaining about Nemesis don't really understand that giving him a weapon doesn't really make sense in DBD. They could have taken out zombies and made him sprint or something sure, but the zombies are a cool addition and do make me think of Resident Evil when I play against them, which is the point I'm sure. I'm just happy Nemesis is in the game at all.
The point of these chapters isn't to make you feel like playing other franchises. The only ones that really do that are RE and Saw but Saw gets kind of a free pass because what else are you gonna do with Pig? The point is to add the characters. Not the franchise. If people like it then I highly encourage people to just play Nemesis in REsistance. In that game you get zombies and other RE monsters AND can play as the true Nemesis at the same time. The zombies are a cool edition sure but do not work. They are no fun since you can't do anything with them. Like Nemesis was basically split into 2 killers. Oni and Nemesis. Nemesis only has the looks and sounds and animations. Oni has Nemesis' power in a way.
-
@Labrac said:
I think the RE chapter was done super poorly. Nemesis doesn't even feel like Nemesis without some sort of running ability or weaponry, the zombies are super bland and annoying for both sides and his actual power is so lackluster that even Trickster is arguably better than him.
SH chapter was much better indeed. Pyramid Head is actually a scary chaser and the cages, although technically not in the games, fit super well his power.
I don't think the problem was the lack of horror because Stranger Things isn't even a horror franchise and I think everybody agrees the chapter was a success.
Thank god. I didn't think I'd find many people outside of my own posts about this. But yeah I personally believe Nemesis fits way more than PH IF Nemesis actually acted like him. They were so obsessed with making Nemesis just feel like RE overall instead of the point of the chapter which is to bring in those characters. Not the entire franchise. No one thinks they're playing a Halloween game when playing as Michael. No I'm playing as the legendary Michael Myers in DBD.
