Artist is hard to play. Most people play 2-4 matches and base their opinions around that, so maybe that's why
-
No Survivor loops for 15 seconds, it's 30 seconds minimum

Hellraiser doesn't chatter His teeth but thr iconic skin does -;^
Fair enough, but Mr. X still doesn't sprout tentacles from his arm, tho if Mr. X were a skin, the tentacle could get reskinned to look like his burnt up, mutated arm during his boss fight at the end of RE2MAKE

I play both sides so I wouldn’t care.
Old D strike was fine. It was easily countered by killer either slugging the injured unhooked survivor or completely ignoring them for 60 seconds. I have noticed since the nerf killers are quick to tunnel the unhooked survivor fast and in the first half of the match to get the ratio of survivors down to a 3v1. Survivors may complete 3 or 4 gens depending on their behavior during the face camp. The hooked survivor has to just hangout to allow the gens to get done w/o killer pressure. With old D strike this gave a group of survivors a chance at getting gens down to a 2 or 1 gens with a tunneling killer.
Old hatch/key we’re fine. In situations where killer tunnels first half of match and only 3-4 gens get done this gives the 3v1 or 2v1 a chance at an escape. Especially if the killer face camped or tunneled both killed survivors. Why should a killer who has applied 0 gen pressure get an increased odds of a 4K bc hatch doesn’t spawn in game? Why should a 2v1 team be forced to finish gens against a killer that could easily phase or transport between gens? If a killer gets the survivors down to a 2 v 1 with more than 1 gen left to pop to power exit gates it’s over for both survivors.
And the things above working correctly 100% depends on survivors being cooperative and altruistic. This almost never happens outside of a SWF of 4 maybe 3. Throw in more than 2 survivors not in a team and not doing gens, urban evasion-ing the whole map, not running BT, or any number of factors and killers going to wipe the board with the survivors eventually bc gens aren’t getting done and you literally cannot escape without gens getting done or random luck w open/hatch spawn.
If you were relying on Hatch to escape, you just weren't that good of a Survivor
-
No, Mr. X doesn't moan or groan and doesn't have tentacles, sadly
-
Around 1600 on Killer I guess. Pretty good Survivors but not close to top tier by any means
-
I'm pretty sure it's a 5 Meter (6 if you're in Tier 3) long rectangle. If a Survivor is in that rectangle, they get hit. If they are behind an object and crouching, the Tentacle Strike will not hit them
-
How dare you forget about Demogorgon

Everyone would be salty and entiteld, yet the game would be perfectly balanced, as all things should be. Some great things need great sacrifices.

I find Freddy to be amongst the most boring Killers in the game. His puddles don't do anything. He's a basic M1 Killer with a meh teleport
-
What? How would this fix anything

I'm not an expert on either Freddy or Demo, but for sure the main thing going for pre nerf Freddy over Demo is the ease of use. I doubt you'll deny that old snares are easier to use than shred and Freddy's teleport was ridiculously simple to use effectively if you've got BBQ cause there's no setup required, unlike Demo's portals.
Agreed, Freddy has the easy of use that Demogorgon doesn't
-
@FFirebrandd said:
So the thing about Demo is... there's nothing wrong with him. But... he's a jack of all trades killer. He literally has a bit of everything. Some anti loop with shred, some mobility with portals, some slowdown if the survivors break portals, some info from KI on portals, some stealth with brief undetectable on leaving a portal.
Where does this leave Demo? Well, not many people play him because he doesn't really have a specialty. He is the strongest killer who does it all, but he isn't super strong and easy like prenerf Freddy was so... people don't play him a ton.
Some Demogorgon bias coming in so don't mind it too much:
Current Demogorgon is as strong as prenerf Freddy was. Demogorgon always had the better antiloop of the 2, but now that Freddy got his Teleport nerfed, Demogorgon currently has the better Teleport. Demogorgon also has a very strong Add-on combination that guarantees info and goes pretty well with Ruin: Leprose Lichen and Lifeguard Whistle. Slap a Portal on your Ruin Totem, a few Portals on Gens and you don't need to run info Perks ever again.
-
Dead Hard and Circle Of Healing. These 2 Perks are way too good with no drawbacks. Dead Hard grants a 3rd Health State, invincibility frames and distance without having any counters while Circle Of Healing completely killed Hit N Run, Wraith and Ghostface. Fair Perks amirit

I thought that a killer that had a big range attack or a very strong power in general was turned into a 110% to make it more "fair". But why is the Artist a 115% then? Deathslinger/ Trickster aren't that powerful, and they are 110%: unlike the new killer. Why not let all killers be 115% anyway then?
All Killers being 115% would be too much for some Killers, Nurse, Spirit and Huntress come to mind. Deathslinger should definitely be 115% tho, he's the only Killer in the game with a 32 Meter Terror Radius while being 110% which is just too much
-
Freddy has an antiloop power? What
-
Demogorgon can also fake pick-ups by placing a Portal while standing over a Survivor that is downed

OH yeah sure that would be interesting to my brain just jump right on the conspiracy supernatural train real quick
We really need more supernatural and alien Killers. The only one we have is Demogorgon
-
I don't think killing as a Killer or escaping as a Survivor is toxic, even if the Killer camped/tunneled/slugged or if the Survivors were playing in a SWF

Would love a German soldier there are so many rumors and myth out there about what happens in the last months of the war cause Hitler had an whole ocult organization and scientists trying to actually achieve something like a super soldier that could be cool plus Americans just love to turn ww2 Germans into monsters anyway :D
I'd find it pretty interesting if it weren't just a crazy WW2 super soldier and instead someone who survived the war, but went crazy because of the trauma
-
You want old DS and Keys? What is wrong with you

Welcome to DbD, this is the daily life of a Killer main

Nah there was countless Billy nerf threads back when instasaw was a thing but all they had to do was change the add ons not nerf him into the dirt instead they gutted him just like slinger and Freddy
Don't forget Twins, they were trashed aswell. Man, I feel so bad for you and your mains. You all got your favorite characters trashed while Demogorgon's only nerf was reducing the 20% on Barb's Glasses and Black Heart to 15%, and I'd say that was justified, though there was no justification for the Rat Tail nerf. I will never forgive BHVR for that one

Doesn't really change my point. It's only fair that both sides get unfun things removed of we are doing it for killers otherwise why not just only play survivor?
I didn't want to change your point, I was adding to it. A Killer doesn't even have to be good to get dumpstered

Survivors have gotten killers nerfed for being "unfun" to play against so it's only fair if survivors get the same treatment now.
Things is, most of those Killers weren't even OP, aside from Spirit ig

Yeah, I’d have absolutely no idea how to make any FNaF characters into dbd and if I can infer it, they probably wouldn’t be fun to play.
I've had an idea with Springtrap using the Phantoms from Fnaf 3 combined with a teleport ability, wanna see the in depth concept?

I suppose if put up to the challenge BHVR would probably be able to implement it. The question is though how well would it be implemented.
I'd have to say they won't implement it well. For Amanda, they still had some ideas for her. A stealth Killer able to apply deadly traps that had to be dealt with otherwise POP.
For our boy Springy, all they know is that he killed children, possesed a Spring-Lock animatronic, can't really die and can crawl in vents. There's not much you can do just based on that

Dead-Hard adds a lot of play value to the survivor side.
Sure, getting out-played is always aggravating for the other-side and Dead-Hard offers a new way for survivors to outplay killers.
But if you look at it from the survivor-side (and game designer perspective), there's very few perks to interact with Killers during a chase. Dead-Hard is one of a very-very limited (I would say less than you could count on one hand) perks that adds a new dimension to chases. Getting rid of Dead-Hard would just be insane from a game designer point of view. Why would you want to eliminate dimensionality from your game. In fact, you would want to add more ways for survivors to interact with killers, not remove them.
Also, let me point out that no-one has EVER shown any data showing that Dead-Hard outperforms the other endurance perks. And of course there is the false equivalence fallacy in which people say that Dead-Hard is an "extra health state". The two aren't the same at all.
You're not getting outplayed when a Survivor uses DH, you get screwed over by a Perk, not by skill.
Interaction with the Killer is only fun for the Survivor, as it doesn't impede their progress on their main objectives, while it does interfere with the Killer's objective, which isn't bad as looping is balanced (aside from certain loops). What is a problem however is Dead Hard, it's only interactive on the Survivor side while being a nuisance at worst for the Killer to being downright broken at best.
Getting rid of Dead Hard would force Survivors to get good at looping, as they won't have a Perk that corrects their mistakes anymore. Removing it would add dimensionality to the game.
Dead Hard is definitely an extra Health State, you have to play Killer to experience it, which based on your Pro-Dead Hard crusade, you don't, or you're only playing at lower MMR, where Dead Hard isn't as bad since the players kinda suck

I guess I agree, I’ve never really seen how FNaF would even fit into DBD while there are other licenses that would fit much better.
Fnaf is kinda like Saw. They'd have to be really creative with how they implement it since the source material doesn't really fit in with how DbD plays
-
People stopped asking for it once they realized that there were more fitting franchises worthy of being in the game. Nothing against Fnaf tho, i wouldn't mind it coming in

Every slowdown you mentioned is exactly the same as it would be if you didn’t hear the fake scream or blood. Same with power recovery and power resource, please try again.
Nemesis and twins are the only ones who have an actual complaint where their power gets affected but it will be very rare to see this. I guess huntress had about a 1 in a thousand chance of getting affected too.
Again I don’t think you quite understand how validation works.
Forgot to mention Pig and Demogorgon getting their Powers eaten by DH, which actually interferes with gameplay

See my topic for the support message.

Like I said, from a Killer perspective, I understand the frustration.
However, from a Survivor perspective (and a developer perspective), it adds a lot more fun to the game for 4/5ths of the player base, because it adds more options and more chances for Killer/Survivor interaction in chases. Which is the funniest part of DBD.
As for being balanced, if the Developers were seeing data where Dead Hard was outperforming other exhaustion perks, then it would have been nerfed. In fact, when the Developers fixed hit-validation, that would have been the exact time the Developers would have fixed Dead Hard. The Developers do have that data, as shown by nerfs to other perks that outperform.
So Killers should forget about anything unfun to get balanced just because the Survivors are enjoying it? Smh

From a killer's perspective I can understand the frustration.
However, from a survivor perspective (and game design perspective), it's probably one of the most well designed perks in the game. The most fun in the game for survivors is looping. This perk gives survivors another option in chases and makes the chase even more interactive for survivors. It makes chases a lot more fun for survivors because they now have an opportunity to outplay killers. I would be honestly amazed if the developers removed or changed Dead Hard, just because of how much it adds to the survivor side.
The Perk is nowhere near balanced. It eats up Killer Powers, it grants Survivors a 3rd health state that can't be countered and it extend loops by 30 seconds minimum if the Survivor is somewhat good at looping. A Perk that grants the power role so much time to do their objectives is not balanced, healthy nor fun to play against
Edit: Typo
-
If you ever decide to do Demogorgon, Bloodhound would be a no-brainer
-
It's not even that they're only active for 2 weeks, the Survivor Add-ons are kind of good while the Killer ones are memes at best
-
So you sympathize with Survivors using a boring tactic but not with Killers? Nice bias

Survivors: Steve Harrington, Leon S. Kennedy
Killers: Hillbilly, Doctor, Demogorgon, Twins, Nemesis, Trickster, Blight, Pinhead
