I was thinking you'd say make it a pve game so nobody has to play killer again

If I really need to clarify.... you can’t decimate a decent team as billy right off the bat. It takes time to figure out the steering and timing etc. Nurse should be obvious. Freddy seems to take a lot of work... placing traps, teleporting... chasing. But with doc it’s just Static blast, then chase. And he’s 4k ing a lot. I dunno... just my impression.
I think people are just trying to get used to him still and his shock therapy requires good timing from what i've seen to get the most out of it's anti looping.

@Aven_Fallen said:
Spirit and Freddy are some of the easiest Killers to play. You cannot compare Doc to that. Not even close.
@PigNRun said:
Billy and Freddy take a lot of work? Wat.
my god, lets say all killers except nurse and huntress are easy to play then if we are gonna not talk about what the op was asking about or hell lets say all of them are easy cause everyone seems to be godlike.
-
The dedicated servers seem to screw me over when i go for a shock maybe I need to adjust my shocks earlier cause when i shock before they get to a window and it hits them they always seem to vault. He's not that easy imo but he's also not that strong either compared to the ones you mentioned.

It can't be waited out if you have whispers as well. Good whispers useage lets you almost pinpoint the exact location of survivors.
Whatever works for you man, too much of a gamble using 2 perks for early game and then being left with 2 effectively until whispers becomes useful again in endgame.

Literally solved by corrupt intervention. I have no idea why everyone is ignoring it.
corrupt intervention can be waited out and sometimes blocks gens on opposite sides of the map cause where killer can spawn
-
I haven't used old ruin in months before the change, I don't plan to go back and try to gamble with hex perks, they aren't worth it unless the killer has a means to defend the totem a majority of the times. The only ones worth using are haunted ground and devour hope, anything else is a waste of a slot imo.

Toolboxes aren't annoying, they are more broken than DS. One toolbox saves much more time than single DS. Before reworking maps I would nerf/rework toolboxes.
I disagree if some maps weren't so bad you would actually be able to make sure they don't use them but when you get temple of purgation or mother's dwelling it's just free.

It's not the only piece. For example, multiple triggers for DS or Unbreakable would be absolutely broken. Single time use makes them just annoying.
I'm sure what he is saying at there best they can turn a game around and at there worst they are just annoying depending on the situation.
-
I rather them focus on fixing maps faster. Toolboxes and DS are annoying but I think maps are the worst part of the game next to bugged sounds.
-
Apart from static blast giving you information, anything you'd bring on a normal M1 killer works on him. Whispers just makes sure you never waste static blast.
-
Slug, tunnel and camp when the opportunity arises is what i get out to that. I do agree majority of maps are pretty trash with how tiles can connect to other strong structures, god loops being in the game for years and too many safe unmindgameable pallet loops. Just don't play nice is all i can say, if you are clown or one of the killers that lack map pressure or way to one shot you may be SoL unless you find some weak links to exploit.
-
@Colton147 said:
Hawkins is very killer-sided.
Thats mostly because of bloodlust which is the bandaid fix for bad map design.
-
Alot of maps are like this, whoever made maps in the first place didn't understand how people played the game cause anyone who played the game even a little bit should have known jungle gyms can't connect to each other or god loops shouldn't exist. I know they are working on maps but for how many just awful maps there are i think it'll be too slow before every map gets rebalanced, they should just look at deleting god loops by adding door ways by them and make jungle gyms and other strong structures just not spawn so close to each other and adjust the fences in haddonfield cause there can be some nasty rng on that map if survivors notice them.
-
keys and toolboxes are pretty dirty but killers think of keys like survivors think of moris, both are not balanced at all and they just want your threat of basically ending the game early to go away.
-
Not right now, with matchmaking, the various bugs and long queues for survivors, I wouldn't recommend.

I'll never understand the kind of sociopath that enjoys it when others are miserable.
Imagine judging people irl based on how they play a video game, pretty strange.
-
I like using Devour hope activate a portal near it and keep an eye on it till i get my stacks and then kill them all. I don't enjoy playing demogorgon most of the time so when i do I like to try to have fun playing him.

I don't get the argument that survivors can't always use Jungle Jyms or Infinite Loops. Of course that's not the case cause otherwise killers would be useless. I mean infinites, if one wants to call them like that, shouldn't even exist. But Jungle Jyms and other good loops do exist, and Billy doesn't have much in form of anti loop, which makes him balanced in my opinion. If survivors were able to use jungle jyms all game, he'd be pretty useless.
Even at mindgameable pallets, if you play it right, you'll only give him the possibility to M1 you and that's it.
In my opinion, Hillbilly is perfectly balanced. He has really good map pressure, an instadown ability which is good, and small mindgame potential at pallets with his chainsaw. Pallets and vaults are still very effective against him, as he can't really counter loops. I also disagree that he takes too little skill. You still need to know how to run tiles and counterplay at loops with him just as with any other M1 killer, controlling his chainsaw optimally and insta downing survivors can also be a bit tricky, and curving is very hard to pull of.
Well i'm glad i don't have to type this.
Apart from his addons which will probably get changed anyway I think base billy is one of the more balanced killers.

I can name several perls that are way better...and nurse isnt really around anymore
I'd love if shadowborne was base and they just change it to something else and delete the extra vision M&A give cause the current fov of killer is kinda claustrophobic imo.

Ive been doin the ruin+surveillance combo with Legion, so not being able to see Gen auras at all at times is kinda irritating.
that sucks that there power doesn't work with a majority of perks.
-
@LordGlint said:
After playing more Legion than normal today, something really has me scratching me head. Why s it Legion can't see gen auras after stabbing someone in FF?. I had times where I ended up running the opposite direction in the new Lerys because I had no clue which direction the gens were at... Just feel like thats very unnecessary.
Idk why they shouldn't be able to, they have an addon that lets them see gen auras that are different highlights depending on how close they are to being done but thats a pink addon.
-
It's just another objective it can annoy killers but usually a smart killer will appreciate that you aren't on a generator lol just don't get mad if he slugs you cause he may not be able to hook.

Not enough to be worth a perk slot most of the time realistically
I disagree but I do think it should be better than what it is now.

Yeah...that's the issue
I mean depending on the killer it's not really and issue, as trapper all he really needs is less things to deal with cause he has to set up and pick up traps combined with chasing and hooking. I can't say the combo is worth it on other killers that don't have to do what a Trapper does but it does help.

It never stops does it. This entitlement and persecution complex.
Players - specifically killer mains - have been complaining over and over and over again about the stale survivor meta perks. Seeing the same 4 perks game after game after game.
The developers buff some weaker perks to bring them into use, hopefully to bring some variety to the perks survivors are using and the first thing killer mains say is...
”why do only survivor perks get buffed?? I knew it you prfioritize survivors!!”
All he did was ask a question, you really need to chill.

Can..but even then the cooldown eliminates what's left of its usefulness
The cooldown is 40 seconds and on these killers with not that good mobility, I don't think it'll hurt them that much unless every survivor is injured i never noticed myself missing the proc with it. Not saying it's not niche cause i use 3 perks to make it work for me.

Surge isnt built to work as it should on most maps, it requires a basic attack and has a hard capped range..that's the real problem with it..it doesnt proc enough
Thats the fault of map design but like i said for the normal killers like trapper or plague like i said it can save them time.

Bo survivor perk is remotely as bad as monstrous shrine, beast of prey, insidious, bloodhound, mindbreaker , surge, cruel limits, rancor, tinkerer, shadowborn, overcharge, hex third seal, furtive chase, just to name some of the problem children that nearly have no use or are only mildly useful when making a two or in furtives example 3 perk investment..theres just no comparison
While i agree with most of you list, I think surge while a little weak with it's regression effect, is useful on killers like plague, trapper and other killers that can't really afford to waste time kicking gens. Combined with Thrilling tremors and surveillance, I'd say it does what those killers need it too do. I do think it's regression should be like 10% instead of 8% cause it's basically an extra 3% of what the base explosion on a gen is which feels pretty underwhelming.
-
@LetsPlayTogether said:
Yeah Yeah always those "optimal survivors". Pls show me those "optimal survivors" each game or even every tenth game. You probably cannot. Youre making yourself believe that there are only "optimal survivors" out there, thus theyre just a really small percentage. Instead you should improve youre obvious lack of skill. Cause you know, there are many players wo still 4k.
His issue wasn't that he couldn't get 4ks or the "optimal survivors" boogieman it's that map design and how easy gens are is leading killers to find other ways to stall the game that isn't really that fun to go against or play but the most effective. Tiles and structures are too strong and some maps are too big to chase through without the risk of a gen or 2 popping.
-
I think it'd be nice if crossplatform was a thing when the new consoles came out frame rate would have to be consistent and i think mouse and keyboard would have to be enabled for consoles.
-
The sounds are still bugged.
-
Lery's looks nicer, Doctor is a good change and the sound bugs are still in the game and DS sometimes doesn't work now too, over all disappointed.
-
Good luck with the bugged sounds, if it happens and you're spirit you are not only blind to survivors but deaf too.
-
It's a hex perk and it's not Ruin, it may as well be something else. The combo is more unreliable than spirit fury enduring cause depending on what killer you are you won't be able to always defend ruin with how totem spawns are. LatE gAmE HEX btw.
-
RIP Ruin, a bandaid fix finally ripped off but not addressed why it was used, good luck to the people who played the slow or none movement speed ability killers on giant maps or dumb maps with too many safe tiles, slug and tunnel i guess. Survivors bring your Unbreakables and DS it's gonna be a rough ride.

As someone who actually plays more as survivor (because killer isn't very fun), I find playing against windows like the one in the ironworks of misery to be more unfun and annoying than any killer has ever been.
Doesn't matter dude, they'll still say hillbilly is op even at base it seems even though he deals with loops just like every other m1 killer never mind that if he didn't have his movement he'd just be leatherface but can only down 1 person or that curving does require skill and isn't that reliable if survivors can predict it because he is reving the saw around a corner. But hey hillbilly op am i right?
-
should be tomorrow since they usually push for tuesdays for patches
-
Matchmaking not working, swf matchmaking, rank reset not setting potatoes far enough, it's all a big mess. Hopefully they revert the swf matchmaking and the rank reset cause it's just watering down red ranks more and more.

yeah and I don’t think there should be a loop so powerful the only option is just to avoid it. They should literally just add a torn down wall like 10 meters away from the window that leads directly to the outside and also remove of reposition the pallet that’s right outside of it.
Me and everyone else says the same thing, they don't do anything about them so all I can say is avoid the god windows cause there's nothing else you can do.
-
I think they first need to revert matchmaking for swf to scale with the average rank of the group but a bit higher scaling so every game isn't a red rank killer vs a bunch of grays and greens with the one red rank survivor. Revert rank reset entirely cause it's just watering red ranks even more and then make survivor pipping harder it feels too easy to me. Make every individual killer have a seperate rank from each other too, if i never played nurse and I got to red ranks with Myers or something I can't really learn to play nurse when the gens are gonna fly by so fast i can't learn anything lol.
Btw you don't get punished by the emblem system if you are chasing a survivor near a hooked one cause the survivor being chased has control of where the chase goes.
-
@kate_best_girl said:
I never realized how powerful that loop is til I ran a plague, pig, and hillbilly around it for 3 gens. Then I decided to try my luck with my friends and did a little test in KYF and as a basic M1 killer you’re literally forced to drop the loop otherwise you risk your gens. This loop is seriously OP idk how it’s been in this game for so long and how I never took advantage of it
The best thing you can do is stay away from that loop, it waste too much time and I know bamboozle counters it but it's not worth the perk slot for a god loop on a map that you may or may not get. It's not just ironworks that has a god loop like that either some of the coldwind farm maps have window loops like that and coal tower too. Map design in general is pretty awful until very recently like after the plague's giant ass map came out, did they rethink maps.

I started the idea of changing Billy and one hour later everyone started talking about Billy. Whoops!
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1013171#Comment_1013171
Tho for both of you guys,if he chainsaws somewhere and the survivor (happened to me so many times.....) is out of position and has no jungle gym or a pallet near him,how is it balanced to just whip up his chainsaw and stick it in my huge butthole? I don't find it fair tbh. I agree it will make him less viable on console too,but think of it this way; you have 2 choices with a cooldown;
1 m1
2, wait some amount of seconds and then m2
There will be more counterplay that way.
Addonwise,if he gets the red add-on that I mentioned,he becomes a second oni with a cooldown instead of a blood meter. Pretty fair
If you still don't agree with the base kit change,how about the add-on? Do you like it? Let me know below.
I don't use addons anymore so it wouldn't effect me. I'd rather people talk about buffing killer like trapper, leatherface, and clown than talk about nerfing a killer that performs well.

The cooldown would start after you stop sprinting/hit something/miss. Balanced in my book. It just limits the distance he crosses since the more you Sprint the more cool down you will have with 15 being the maximum :3
Traveling across the map isn't that powerful if he has to deal with loops the same as any other killer and if the billy is good with his curves he can atleast shave off that time a little but if we are talking extremes a good survivor isn't gonna get curved on if they know what to expect.
-
Let Bubba's chili do something!!
-
Base Billy is fine, I think add-on combinations can make him a little nutty but his cooldown on his base chainsaw when he misses is enough. But if they did do something to Billy I think it'd be hilarious if they made him a 4.4 m/s killer, it'd show how out of touch they are if they did that, I'd lmao.

Exactly and ranks 15-20 really have no shot with billy. He needs some sort of rework but killer mains will lose their ######### with another nerf anytime soon.
Camping leatherface destroys new survivors too, should we nerf him too?

You must've been pretty bad at shocking survivors if they got away from you before the changes, I was able to hit them quite well with it, all you needed was to fire it in advance
Though the changes slowed the speed at witch the shock therapy cone travels and there seems to be a delay before it registers, that really requires skillful timing now
you are lying if you are say 100% of the time shock therapy stopped survivors from vaulting with doctor. Also the shock therapy timing are getting changed so maybe get off the high horse.
