    Sniper Doc:

    Add Ons:

    • Interview Tape
    • High Stimulus Electrode
      Perks:

    • Your Choice

    • Your Choice
    • Your Choice
    • Your Choice
I always thought this was called the Piccolo build because Interview Tape + High Stimulus Electrode = Special Beam Cannon
  • My personal idea is just to have it so totems don't light up until certain conditions (specific to each Hex perk) are met, and from there, a Survivor can then cleanse the lit totems to shut off the Hex perk.
  • Here's a dumb idea that I put little to no thought into:

Keys only open the Hatch until someone jumps in.  After that, the Hatch closes (unless there's only one person left).  Purple Key lets anyone jump in (risking getting the Hatch stolen by another Survivor); Red Key only lets whoever opened the Hatch to jump in.

Extra Jerk mode: Purple key permanently seals the Hatch after someone jumps in.  No key will open it, and not even the last Survivor has a chance at it.  Whoever uses it risks being a complete jerk. :P

Other dumb idea: Make the green key open Hatch, but the person who opened it can't jump in, plus the Hatch perma-closes once someone jumps in. :P

Interesting idea.  Not sure if 45 seconds would be too little time for a 15% speed boost that would basically last the whole chase, but I guess losing bloodlust helps balance that?

Well, since you only lose 1 token for downing, you can keep some of your tokens between chases.
The rework is, like I said, a sort of semi-perma bloodlust, so removing it seemed necessary.

I guess the main question is "Is using one perk slot enough of a cost for a mostly supercharged bloodlust upgrade?"

  • I would rather Killer lose the ability to see Survivor names before the match starts than Survivors gain that ability.

I thought of the hatch stand off as 1 gen left one survior left. not all gens done one killed 2 escaped through the gates and one who wants the hatch

Hatch stand-off is when both Survivor and Killer are waiting at the hatch because both want control of it and neither are willing to concede it.

I also think it could be a killer holding a survivor in a corner till they dc. Not positive tho

That is indeed holding the game hostage if the Survivor has no way to escape the corner..

I think anyone agrees that michael myers has the easiest instadown in the entire game. Stalking takes 0% skills and goes really fast even with infinite evil within 3. Yesterday I played a game against a michael myers who cheated by working with a survivor who let him stalk right when the game started. He got his infinite evil within 3 before the first gen popped so basically you just need 1 person eho gets stalked completely and a bit of a second survivor and boom. NOED all game.

I still looped that cheating loser for 4 gens even with his infinite evil within 3. After the game I messaged the survivor "reported for working with the killer" and the KILLER messaged me "we reported you, too".

Long story short: Michael Myers is for losers and the dbd community is the worst of all online games of all time. Yes, I'm salty.
Hard to agree with you on the ease of Myers stalking when the example you give involves the killer having an unfair advantage that one can be reported for.

That advice applies to the whole team.

Sounds as easy as breaking a totem.

I mean, it's probably the most straightforward advice against Myers.

Yes. The point is no-one has a problem with Myers in effect doing a NOED 2 or 3 times a match but somehow the NOED perk itself is a massive problem and should be nerfed.

This is the point of the thread (which I am obviously putting across poorly :(

That's because Myers has to proactively do stuff to make his insta-kills happen whereas a NOED player doesn't really have to do anything to make their insta-kill happen.

  • Myers has to work a bit for his insta-downs, at least.
  • I remember reading somewhere that the Devs said they cant implement this feature until dedicated servers come cause they cant really determine if someone D/C'd or Crashed during the loading screen.

I think at the VERY least, make it so the Survivors don't lose their offerings if the Killer DCs or crashes.  I don't think the distinction really matters in this case because Survivors get punished either way.
  • Just as an FYI, OP has also made a thread called "Killer needs buffs..."
  • I like the laugh.
  • I'm just saying that a way for us in game to let the servers know that this person is try hard and should get put with other try hard players and let the casual players play togetger. not separate the game with casual and competitive game modes making the wait time extremely longer but have a built in way to put try harder with other try harder
This sounds like something that could be done by improving the ranking system.

I'm not saying report for exploits or griefing that are banable offences. I'm just suggesting that if one gets a bunch of  reports for unsportsmanlike that if they get put in games with others that have high unsportsmanlike reports.

I think that can get you in trouble for false reporting.  Last I checked, camping and tunneling are not reportable offenses.

I don't believe you will get in trouble as long as you're not making up what you report. A lot of people don't know what is considered reportable and what isn't.

Doing it once or twice is fine and will probably result in you being kindly told that those are not reportable offenses.  Doing it repeatedly (especially after being told that), though, is more likely to get you in trouble.
I'm not trying to get them banned I believe that those who bought the have the right to play how they want. But lately there have been extremely sweaty games in a game that is considered a PARTY game. And from talking to my friends they all agree with the statement that the game would be more fun for the casual player if those face campers and hard tunnelers would be put in game with those survivers that are too extremly toxic and play unsportsmanlike.
If you feel that way, sure, but reports for camping/tunneling just get ignored.

I am wondeting time ago, what does a bait mean in a forum thread?

It means someone basically intentionally saying something that they know most people think is bullshit in order to get a rise out of the community.

Looks like you responded to another bait post to me.
  • Does anyone have a reason to want its return beyond "it's pretty?"  Someone mentioned spending more bloodpoints.

Had that happen to me today.  Already recorded a video of it with intentions of reporting it tonight.  The person still got caught, though, when they eventually got off the rock to finish gens and stepped in a bear trap and eventually died after hitting Deliverance.

    You need to report in-game...

I mean I am going to submit a support ticket containing the video evidence following up on the in-game report, which I did still do.

  • Easy solution: You get paired up with a killer depending on the highest ranking Survivor in the SWF group.
  • The horse belongs to the Clown (it pulls the Clown's cart).  I believe its name is Maurice, and as stated above, the Entity basically gave it a third eye.

Dull keys aren't worth taking because the circumstances of the hatch even becoming visible before the other 3 survivors die / escape are so slim it's just not worth taking the key for that slim chance in a million all the stars align:

All it takes is one Survivor to die for the Hatch to spawn before the Gates are powered.  How is that a slim chance?

I'm pretty sure the 4% is a lie. Whenever it goes really downhill for the survivors and I'm having the 4k basically in the pocket -> Kobe. Sometimes even 2 Kobes. And this happens in 95% of my games.
Somehow I doubt it happens in 95% of your games.
I think he's referring to Deliverance, a perk that guarantees a kobe.
You can see in their original comment that they are clearly referring to the 4% kobe.

Not 95% of my total games, but 95% of my games when I completely stomp/outskill the survivors which happens in like 25% of all my games
Strange, I wonder why it feels like those percentages are arbitrarily chosen.

Along with the razor addons that increase skillcheck penalty.

Use Distressing + Unnerving Presence along for a meme build.

Idk if it would be OP or not, but I really wish Huntress Lullaby would actually work with Jigsaw Boxes, if only for consistency's sake.  Then I think it would be a meme build a bit better worth pursuing.

Do we know for sure that Unnerving works on them?

I tried the meme build once or twice a few days ago, and I had someone consistently screwing up the Jigsaw Boxes, so I'm inclined to say it works?

It's not a good game design.

If you are the killer, just hit the survivor. If you're the surv, do a gen.

Remember: The time that you waste on a hatch standoff could be spent on another match instead.

I'm not going to lose my win just because I got slightly impatient

If that's what feels best for you, then you do it that way. :) I just think that some hatch standoffs take really long and I'd rather use this time for another match.

And anyway: If you got a 3k, you won already. :)

If I got a 3k and the 4th escapes then that is not a win. As a killer your wincon is to eliminate the survivors, if someone escapes then you have failed to do that

Tell that to Identity V.  They have no problem with awarding the Killer the win for 3 kills and an escape.

  • I think Crate of Gears is the best add-on to go with Tampered Timer.  Jigsaw's Sketch makes a close second.

I'm not sure many perks will actively help you with the RBT kill plan outside of what was mentioned above.  Personally, I think BBQ has some minor benefit here, as people with RBTs can't afford to play around it as well, especially if they've got a reduced clock through Tampered Timer.  Finding which boxes they are at/headed towards can help you screw up their path and potentially risk getting them killed.
  • Personally, I'd want to see nerfs to Memento Moris (except the Cypress one), Keys (except the Broken one), and insta-heals add-ons (both Styptic Agent and Anti-Hemorrhagic Syringe).

Not sure how I'd do the first two, but I think the insta-heals have a few ways of going about it.  Two come to mind:

    1) Add a skill check that the Survivors need to hit to get the insta-heal.  Hit the check, and they insta-heal + lose the Med-Kit.  Miss the check, and they lose some charges on the Med-Kit (meaning that if they miss too many times on the insta-heal, the Med-Kit breaks).

    Would look something like this:

    Styptic Agent
    Very Rare Med-Kit Add-on
    -Reduces charges by 25%
-Use the secondary action to trigger a difficult skill check.  Succeed the skill check to instantly heal one health state and consume the Med-Kit.  Failing the skill check uses 4 charges.

    2) Make it so that a Survivor still has to heal themselves normally with a Med-Kit, and the Styptic Agent/A-H Syringe add-ons would immediately kick in on the first skill check they successfully hit.  Maybe just consume the add-on instead of the whole Med-Kit as compensation?

    Something like this:

    Styptic Agent
    Very Rare Med-Kit Add-on
-Succeed a skill check while healing to instantly heal one health state and consume this add-on.
  • Uh, you didn't actually explain what the tokens do.  EDIT: Never mind.  They're for keeping track of how many totems are left.  In that case, I'd just be blunt and word it as "Allows you to see how many totems remain in the trial." or something like that.

Anyways, I am all for changing perks (and items) that directly interact with Killer powers.
  • Teabagging Survivor makes it to the Exit Gates with an unpopped DS but is downed juuuuust short of the eacape.  I put an RBT on their head and dribble them back into the map before letting DS proc.  Insta-DC.
  • Bumparoonie, Unca Scrooge!

  • A recent guilty pleasure that I took joy in: Camping on the Hatch as Pig while someone with an active Reverse Bear Trap refuses to go do Jigsaw Boxes.

    Now that's a stand-off I'm more than willing to participate in. ;)

  • Another nurse and all her oh penis
    Found the Ultra Rare add-on.
  • The shuffler's obviously rigged.

    Whoops, wrong forum.
  • I still want mah Speed Unlimiter add-on for Hillbilly that makes his chainsaw go ungodly fast but makes it nigh impossible to turn. :p

Beyond that, how about a Doc add-on that injures Healthy survivors whenever they reach Madness 3?

I'd like to see the escape rate only counting games where NOED hasn't been used.

    THIS ^^

They point to a 2 kill ratio to say the game is balanced. That number isn't accurate at all. Take out all the games where NOED activated and see what the ratio is then. This also isn't accounting for the added kills where whoever the last guy to get hooked when gates are powered gets face camped. Or survivors accidentally getting caught just because they were trolling after the gates were open.

It should only count kills prior to gates being powered. Then we'd see how actually "balanced" it looked.

Everytime I see a Wraith, Leatherface or Pig there wouldn't be a single kill without NOED. Almost every single time.

I play solo and do 2-3 totems but it seems the other 3 survivors can't do 2-3 totems between them.
'Ey meng, when I played as Piggerino yesterday, I got 5 kills off the RBTs alone.  Two of them with an additional 30 seconds tagged onto them, even.  Sure, I'm playing console, but dat still not too shabby.
Getting kills off the RBTs takes a lot of luck lol

Yeah there can be good Pig players out there who can win most games with her but in general she's one of the weaker killers so a number of people struggle with her or Wraith or LF etc, killers who have to spend a lot of time eating pallets.
I do not dispute that; I'm mainly standing up to the notion of equatint Pig (or even the other two) with "welp, guess they're getting no kills if they not using NOED."
  • I could be mistaken, but I think the ONLY scenario in which you'd rather have Play With Your Food over Save the Best for Last is if you are going for the Evil Incarnate achievement with Michael Myers.
  • In what build would you use it?

    Burger King Myers

  • How would that benefit the overall game?
  • No I dont see this working. People would run Make Your Choice 100% more often. There really is no way to stop a killer from chasing the guy they want to kill.
Hmm, yeah I see.. But you need a distance to activate MYC, so it's not 100% a free down. It should just motivate the killer more to go for unhooker, especially if you don't want to tunnel but don't know where he is and only see the recently hooked guy
Not free, but probably still much more likely than intended.
