Trying to censor? Did I call for any takedowns no you are literally here trying to irritate people cause you want a negative reaction? You are pathetic.

and you keep dodging every point anyone brings up.

Again who's saying the 'n' word? My argument is none of you have the right to dictate what comes out of others mouths you can't stop people from waggling their tongues you aren't God I know a lot of you think you are but no you aren't omnipotent.

    Y'see, that's the funny thing.

Behaviour, as the developers of Dead by Daylight, has that right. They don't have to let you keep playing if you can't treat your fellow players like regular humans.

Valve, Sony, Microsoft also all have that same right.

You're using the internet to post this. It has restrictions regarding being a fuckwit, deal with it.

Go out on the street and start using slurs like that in public. See how fast you get arrested for hate speech, or knocked out.

Did I say I have done any of these things? Please find where I have ever said this stuff. I'm saying you may as well be enslaved if someone wants to dictate what comes out of your mouth you are just trying to twist things. Love how you all gang on the one person with another opinion classic.

    I never said you did.

But you cannot deny that you are defending people's 'right' to do so.

Newsflash: they have no right to do so, and no right to complain when they're banned from the game for it.

If people are not allowed to speak freely then they may as well be enslaved. They are just words and again my people are not bound by your laws

"I'm allowed to use racial terms and hate speech online because of my culture, not allowing me to do so is slavery".

In my system you can still play with your friends though.

Also, Kill Your Friends is fun to play ;)

Do you have any alternative suggestions?

Are you able to choose whether to play on BATTERED & BRUISED or BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS?

I'm a decently good survivor who generally stays in the Red ranks, so I wouldn't want to have to purposely de-rank myself just to play with my non-Red rank friends considering your version of high ranks has SWF disabled.

Friday 13th is still the best. Played it online yesterday, for the first time in ages.

Shame about all the lawsuit malarkey.

    364 current in-game players

You could fit that entire player-base into one modest apartment building.

The game hasn't received any content updates in almost a year and a half (I get that it's not their fault. Doesn't matter, because there was a severe lack of content rolling out even before they were forced to stop).

It's a great game, when it works. I remember pre-ordering it on the backer website and playing it for 13 hours straight on launch day.

But face the facts. It's a dying game, barely able to keep a consistent playerbase, which at its peak is still a fraction of the players Dead by Daylight has.

I believe his assumption is instead of a killer next month we get doc rework

If so, that would be stupid. We're not due to get a killer next month anyway, that would be in March.

  • When did they skip a Killer?

Only time I can think of was the gap between the Pig in January 2018 and the Clown in June 2018, but that was (presumably) for the inclusion of the Store system, and definitely not for this one Ruin nerf that would come nearly a full two years later.

  • I am vastly disappointed that if I want the one outfit I have been waiting months for I actually have to play the game to get it

Is that not reasonable? Why would you want the cosmetic if you're not going to play the game?

  • Bah.

The Survivorface for sacrificing Jake's has got to be one of the rarest cosmetics in the game now that the event exclusive ones are no longer exclusive.

  • New features / Balance changes / Bug fixes

    Take your pick.

  • Various cosmetics and other flavour text.

Apparently, the metal shrapnel and spikes in his body were torture from the Entity to make him obey it. Initially, at least.

Now it fuels his rage and determination to kill survivors.

  • Good. I'm sick of people wasting time trying to look cool instead of doing anything productive.

If you're going to waste time, at least get the killer's attention and lead them away from me.

  • It only activates if the trap was placed before the final generator is completed.

If you place the trap after the gates are powered, it won't kill them upon escape.

  • Let's not limit people who are good at the game's ability to play with their friends, yeah?

  • How is asking killers to hook survivors in the basement promoting toxic behaviour?

The game isn't forcing you to use less then favourable tactics to do so; that's of your own accord.

  • The console versions come with the Flesh and Mud & Spark of Madness DLCs that the PC version doesn't.

Since the DLCs are $10 each, that makes up the difference.

  • Legacy already has two other variants; both the Prestige and Normal skins of the character.

    You're welcome.

  • It's out, as of six minutes ago.

I have real money, but I can't put it into steam to purchase auric cells.

Go to a local game store/retailer and purchase a Steam card. Cheapest one is about $20 (for me at least, depends on where you're located.)

The card gives you a code that you input to your Steam client that will give you Steam credit directly, which can be used to buy Auric Cells. Don't even need to attach your bank account to Steam.

If this isn't an option for you, then you're out of luck.

Daily reminder that these changes are selfish towards console that never got the chance for this!

Daily Reminder that you are completely wrong.

Dead by Daylight released on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One on the 20th of June, 2017.

The Howling Grounds event (for the David Jacket and Huntress Mask) occurred from the 15th of February to the 1st of March, 2018.

The Summer Bloodfeast event (for the Kate Shirt and Hillbilly Weapon) occurred from the 7th to the 23rd of August, 2018.

Both consoles were out for several months (over a year for the Bloodfeast) by the time the events rolled around.

The Nintendo Switch is the only case you would have, and that's a very small market.

So people complained until the devs didn't give out the cosmetics? Jesus christ this community is a bunch of babies.

Only four out of the eighteen cosmetics were not given out.

Uncoincidentally, they are also the only four that people actually had to work for.

People not wanting them to be given out to free was totally justified.

  • @DeadByTunnelight said:

I don't agree. People who took their time to take part in this events should only have these cosmetics. Now old events doesn't make any sense because everyone have these skins.

    That's no longer the case.

The four event items they specified that would come to everyone (David's Jacket, Huntress' Mask, Hillbilly's Propane Tank & Kate's Sun Shirt) no longer are. They are remaining exclusive to people that earned them.

  • Committing hundreds of hours to grind levels back when the Bloodwebs were munted is no where near the same as being lucky/privileged enough to obtain a convention code.

  • The point was to reward all the original players who stuck through the myriad of issues this relatively unknown game had. They grinded out the Prestige levels on significantly more expensive Bloodwebs, and under a strict time limit as well.

Introducing it for the new characters wouldn't make sense. The Prestige Bloody Clothing is already a reward for sticking with a certain character for a while.

If you have a method of obtaining Legacy now, that removes the value of the skin. Regardless of if the method is challenging, you'll have an indefinite amount of time to do so.

That implies that the Entity snatched up Rin as a survivor, then she managed to escape its realm. Thats really hard to believe, especially considering that she'd act like nothing happened once she returned.

Conversely, it makes more sense as to why the Entitiy would choose her over her father- she'd know exactly how to call out to the Entity and become a killer.

There's obviously multiple dimensions in the Dead by Daylight universe (as evidenced by Bill being from a world that was ravaged by an Infection in 2008, while several other characters are from the modern day - Feng is explicitly stated to have played in a 2016 video game tournament).

This means its theoretically possible for the Entity to grab a pre-murdered Rin from an alternate dimension to the one we have as the Spirit.

  • What does windows store entail?

It allows Steam players to play with people who bought it on the Windows Store.

That xbox players can match up with PC players?

Not yet. That's an upcoming feature the developers are looking into, alongside Playstation.

Who even owns DBD via Windows Store.

People who bought the game on the Windows Store.

  • It's a known issue that was pinned to the top of the forums for a while.

Of course, it's no longer there so I would've assumed that they had fixed it. Apparently not.

Don't worry, they're aware of the bug and are working on a fix.

  • @Rattman said:

X amount of great skillchecks with "This is not happening" - use "Stake out" if you bad with hitting great skillchecks.

I just ran No Mither and immediately ran to a generator, and finished the challenge within 30 seconds.

Of course, I didn't survive the match, but sacrifices had to be made.

  • Let me quickly summarise this years Withering Blight event.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There were numerous complaints about survivors suiciding on hooks after obtaining progress on the vials. Fundamentally, this was a design flaw in the earning of the vials; if players are purposefully failing their objective solely to be able to finish the event quicker, something needed to be changed. That's not any fun for the other survivors and the killer.

So this year, you instead earn your Putrid Serum through the newly implemented Rift (Battlepass) feature.

    • Every 800xp you earn (through playing the game), you gain a Rift Fragment.
    • Alternatively, completing challenges in the new Archive Tome feature will earn you either 3 or 5 Rift Fragments. Reaching the Epilogue of the Tome will grant you a bonus 10.
    • Once you collect enough Rift Fragments for the Rift tier you are currently on, you will go up a tier.
    • Every few Rift tiers, you will earn between 2-3 Putrid Serum.
    • One cosmetic item costs 10 Putrid Serum.
    • There's a max of 60 Putrid Serum in the Rift you can earn. Once you reach Tier 47/70, you will have earned all 60. This means you can obtain six different cosmetic items (or two full outfits).

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 'Pumpkin' Blighted Generators you mentioned are solely dedicated to granting Bloodpoints to all survivors, even if you didn't work on the generator at all.

    • If you brought the special Pustula Petal offering, you will earn an additional 3,000 Bloodpoints per Blighted Generator completed.
    • If you did not bring the Pustula Petal offering, you will only earn an additional 1,000 Bloodpoints per Blighted Generator completed.

The same applies for the Killer.

    • If you brought the special Pustula Petal offering, you will earn an additional 3,000 Bloodpoints per survivor impaled on a Blighted Hook.
    • If you did not bring the Pustula Petal offering, you will only earn an additional 1,000 Bloodpoints per survivor impaled on a Blighted Hook.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, survivors have the ability to earn two event unique items that only appear during the annual Halloween event; the All Hallow's Eve Lunchbox medkit and the Will O' Wisp flashlight.

The All Hallow's Eve Lunchbox is functionally identical to the standard First Aid Kit, while the Will O' Wisp is functionally identical to the the standard Flashlight.

Aesthetically, the Lunchbox has a orange paintcoat and adorned with a glowing green skull decal surrounded by pumpkins and bats. The Will O' Wisp shines a beam that's shaped like a cartoon ghost, as opposed to the standard flashlight beam.

  • You mock the developers, but you don't seem to realise that they spend their time working on the game, not playing it.

After a long day at work, the last thing they'd likely want to do is casually play the game they dedicate their career to working with.

They don't have time to spend thousands of hours playing the game and getting good at it.

  • They're difficult because you have an indefinite amount of time to complete them.

The Archives are different from the Rift. They will never go away.

If they were easy, people would finish them quickly and be left with no more to strive for.

  • Strange. I'm getting mine.

I'm at tier 7 and unlocked my 75 so far.

  • You're not delusional.

It starts tomorrow at 11am ET (the same time as the event itself started).

So in about 19 hours from the writing of this post.

  • By 'devotion level', do you mean each time you get your Player Level up in general?

I can't imagine a single Rift Shard being a compelling reward every 100 levels.

  • You'll be fine.

The level you start out at corresponds to the amount of playtime you've had in-game since October 18th. If you played non-stop, you'd be a higher level.

It's an unintended glitch, but they've decided to keep it in.

Do i have to to pay real Life money to get serums ??

if so What type of event is this ??

    No, you don't.

You'll earn your Serums through the Free track of the Rift. The Paid track does not contain the Serums.

Anyone that says otherwise is bullshitting.

  • @SleepyWillo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/796537#Comment_796537

The "free" serums allow you to unlock 2 whole outfits.

I think a lot of people would be happy to get some extra outfits for free on top of that...

    and why should we?

This temporary delay on the Archive earning of our Serum doesn't matter when we have over two months to get the allocated sixty.

Sure, I'd love to get some extra free outfits, but I'm being realistic.

  • We have 70 days (the length of the entire Rift) to collect our 60 Serum.

Giving us some for free won't matter.

  • @SaltySwag said:

It's always funny in these threads.

I see the same people telling others in other threads that "I am glad we don't have exclusive skins everyone deserves them!" only for them to turn around and go "NO LEGACY AM SPECIAL!" lol.

Primarily because the exclusive skins everyone is referring to are the ones the devs would give out at real life conventions? Of which a minuscule amount of the playerbase are in any position to attend?

Yes, people who earned Legacy ARE special. They put in hundreds of hours to grind with the old bloodweb and levelling system before any changes were made. Keep in mind it would take several dozens of hours to reach a single Prestige at this time.

Requesting Legacy back because "its not fair" is an insult to people who stuck with the game in its infancy.

  • @OswinOsgood said:

Dunno about you, but i dont care if theyre vague, that just means theyre more focused on fixing the issues than worrying about social media responses...

Id rather a working update than a broken one wouldnt you?

The status update they provided this morning could have easily been said three days ago when the delay was announced. Nothing in the status update is something that they couldn't have said at the time.

How is it in anyway good to keep your community in the dark for three days after delaying the most hyped update of the year? Surely the issues outlined in status update weren't sudden problems; they had to have known about them for a while. If they had've alerted us to the delay days in advance, I doubt people would've been so upset about it.

  • @Mr_K said:

If the delay was due to one of the consoles rejecting the update. What benefit would it be to have that infomation go public? It could cause problems between bhvr and console company.

The event itself doesn't seem to be anything special. The matches and offerings are just for bonus bp. The stuff for the cosmetics are inside the rift. You will have plenty of time to get those.

If that were the case, they would've launched it on PC + the consoles that did get approved.

They've done exactly that in the past, after all.

No, I think it's something bigger then console authorisation holding it back. If it was specific to one platform, it wouldn't be delayed on all four.

  • I don't know about you, but I definitely prefer having the option to nab both the survivor and killer for Iridescent Shards, rather then having to fork out $9.95 AUD for it.

So I really don't mind all these expensive cosmetic options. Most of them are for characters I don't play anyway, so whenever they do release items for my main (Jake), I am able to nab them with Shards.

  • It begins at 8pm/20:00 EST on the 2nd of May, and concludes at 8pm/20:00 EST on the 6th of May.

As it is currently 4:30pm/16:30 EST on the 1st of May, it begins roughly 27-28 hours from now.

We get the full four days.

  • There's still over 24 hours until it begins. I'm sure an announcement will go up beforehand.

Even if it goes up right as the event starts, it's not a big deal.

  • Check out the Dead by Daylight community on Discord - hang out with 47,844 other members and enjoy free voice and text chat.

    There you go.

  • Ah yes. Going to get my $22 I spent on the game three years ago back, of which I now have over 2,500 hours on.

    Very plausible.

  • @Silas said:

We don't need a legacy 2.0, as Carpemortum said. But it would be nice to have some type of cosmetics that can be earned only by grinding and not available to buy with cells in the store.

Really we should earn devotion shards or something each time we reach a devotion level, allowing us to purchase cosmetics only obtained with those shards. Or at least some rare cosmetics for each survivor/killer only available with iri shards (but a crazy high amount like 75k or more, making them even more rare to come across).

Oh, you mean something that could be awarded after we level up enough with that character? Maybe one item per prestige?

Dunno what it could be though. Perhaps an alternate variation of their default outfit, only covered in blood?
