I don't mind it. I like the additions (hook counter and Survivor portraits).
Only changes I would make would be moving the Generator icon back to the bottom left, and making the Hook/Bleed-out bars a bit easier to see.
-
It's always been this way, this community is one of the whiniest I've ever seen (and not just including video game fandoms).
-
It's an online only competitive PVP game, and there are rules. One such rule is that you're not allowed to ruin the game for other players by disconnecting.
Besides, the bans only really effect chronic DCers. People who leave because they have an IRL emergency, or power going out, or whatever, probably aren't going to be able to play the game again within five minutes anyway, so no biggie.
By your logic, you paid for the game so you should be able to cheat in it, right? I mean, it's only fair, you did pay for it.
-
Deliverance does not need to be nerfed. It's already a very situational perk that isn't that strong to begin with.
This situation you're describing isn't a problem now, so why would it be a problem after Decisive Strike cops its (deserved) nerf?
If they manage to pull this off, they're down two perks for the purpose of a single escape (and it's not like they avoided the hook stage anyway, they still got hooked).

How long was she 115 for?
This isn't a trick question it was before my time
Just over a month.
Nurse was introduced in Patch 1.1.0 (18th August, 2016) and her movement speed nerf was in Patch 1.1.2 (23rd September, 2016).
-
Alright...
The chances of someone reading this and specifically encountering you later doing this in game who would otherwise have no context on why, is pretty low I think.
You really don't need to try and make a justification post on why you're slugging people.
-
I like the long gaps. It gives time for people burnt out on the game from grinding the Rift to have a break before the next one starts.
-
Saw people discussing about the game's beta over on the PAYDAY 2 Steam forums (both games were published by Starbreeze Studios at the time, and there was a crossover between the two games).
Snagged a Beta key, enjoyed it thoroughly, and bought the full game about a month after it came out (had no money to spare at launch).
I don't watch streamers/content creators play (not my thing), so everything I know was basically self-taught these past five years.
-
No, that's a horrible idea.
-
Veteran, almost day one player here, and I'm not feeling neglected at all. I'm interested in what makes you feel this way.
-
Most people are fine with the additions they added, just not the new placements of existing information.
By all standards, it's an objectively crappy design. Why is Generator count now at the top middle of the screen? Why are the Survivor indicators in the top left? What was wrong with having these elements concisely placed in the bottom left?
Having to look all around your screen for different intel when it all used to be place neatly in one place is what people are complaining about.
-
The game is almost five years old. If for whatever reason it does die in the next two-three years, seven-eight years is a pretty good run for a $30.00 PVP only game.

No its not thats KILLER opinion
Except it's not a 'killer opinion'. Having a bad game isn't a valid reason to disconnect.
Stop playing online games and ruining it for everyone else because you can't handle playing it.
-
Then... turn off crossplay?
-
Well if you pick and choose, and actively ignore the rewards, then sure, we haven't been getting anything.
But fortunately, the world does not work that way. The 10,000 Bloodpoints was the daily rewards, and yes they do count.
You are aware of what an Advent Calendar is, yes? Daily bite sized chocolate pieces, with emphasis on **bite sized**. They're not meant to be big, so neither is the 10,000 Bloodpoints each day. Unless you eat 31 pieces of chocolate at once, just like if you save the 10,000 daily for 31 days.
-
They weren't nerfs, they were bug fixes. The perk description always said you could only rummage each chest once. Being able to rummage the same chest three times was a bug.

That's pretty disrespectul. I'm not gonna beat once again the rift just for this cosmetic. No way.
I don't see what's disrespectful.
The community vocalised their opinions on it, so the Devs reacted accordingly.
It'll still be coming in the Rift, and it'll still be free. Just at a later date.
-
@Ihatelife said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1796582#Comment_1796582
Nope, they were supposed to add this free cosmetic to the rift. Not in the store.
Yes, and then they changed their mind due to community feedback, as we've mentioned. It's not coming in this Rift, they've already said that.

You need to pay attention to their tweets on twitter.
I do. Frequently. No need to be so condescending.
Like I said, I do not recall any official information about a release date for the outfit outside of "at a later date".
-
@Ihatelife said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1796557#Comment_1796557
No. It was supposed to be later in this rift.
When did they say that? As far as I know, they just said it's been indefinitely delayed due to community feedback.
-
It's just a reskin of his default outfit, that's all. There's no helmet because his default skin doesn't have one.
This outfit was originally exclusive to DBD Mobile, but came to other platforms in this Rift. The same applies to the Kate, Meg and Plague outfits in this Rift, and the Doctor and David outfits from the previous one.
-
You shouldn't get a matchmaking ban if the game ends because the Killer or another Survivor disconnected. Only if it's actually on your end, either through leaving the game manually, the game crashing, your internet cutting out, etc.
-
@Kaelum said:
@Superyoshiegg nope. The 2nd one is the jean jacket that I talked about. The Ski Jacket is like 4x the thickness, and it is completely missing. I also noticed that ~1/2 of the tshirts from the collection are missing, and Meg has none. Almost all of my survivors were wearing something other than I had them in ~2+ weeks ago as well. I'm wondering if this is related to the Twitch shirt screwup?
Is this it then? Because if not, I have no idea what you're referring to.
I'm a Jake connoisseur and you've got me stumped lol
-
Are you referring to one of these?
-
What exactly is the "Folktale Wendigo"? Because I'm pretty sure Until Dawn got the depiction pretty down pat, at least to the Algonquian interpretation. Pale, very tall, emaciated, sharp teeth and gangly limbs.
I hope you're not referring to the 'deerskull' depiction, because as far as I know, that's a modern interpretation influenced by pop culture and has no basis in actual mythology.
-
Matt, because he's shaped like a friend.

But... They do. At the end of the Leatherface Trailer, there is a lengthy portion of the trademarks dedicated to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. At the end of both saw trailers it states "All other trademarks are property of their respective owners." They are literally legally required to do so.
Where? Nothing in the Leatherface video indicates it being the TCM IP, and the same with the SAW video (though that one is explicitly obvious that it was SAW).
Keep in mind I'm referring to the teasers of those chapters, not the trailers. Because the Chapter 18 video released this morning is also a teaser.
-
@NomiNomad said:
It's not licensed. If it was, they would legally have to put trademarks at the end of the video, even if it was a teaser. There are none, so it's original, at least most likely.
The
SawandLeatherfaceteasers didn't have any sort of licensing trademarks that indicated their source IPs. -
A moment of silence to those who lost $10 of Auric Cells from buying Felix's Blight skin before it became available for Shards.
-
Not free for people that lost Shards buying the outfits before they discounted them by 60% less then two days later. They're still at a net loss.
Nor does it make up for the people that lost $10 worth of Auric Cells buying Felix's outfit before it became available for Shards, again, less then two days later.
-
@Komi said:
This new daily login event seems to exist just to remedy this very crisis, maybe give it a few days and consider it as refund?
Each skin cost 21,600 Shards. The Daily Logins don't even cover half of a skin, let alone all four of them.
And let's not forget those who bought Felix's Blight outfit when it was Auric Cell exclusive. 1,080 Cells gone when they could've bought it for only 9,000 Shards two days later.
If only they told us.
-
@RizeAki said:
I mean atleast it was earnable shards I spent actual cash like an idiot...
You definitely have it worse, but it still sucks either way.
-
Same issue. I've tweeted at the devs and have had a few people respond with unity, so hopefully they'll notice what's up.
@SleepyWillo said:
They bought something for an agreed upon price.
Did those people expect the price to never change or go on sale?
Honestly I feel its what those people deserve for still supporting BHVR with this obvious cash grab.
That's maybe a valid point when it has been quite some time since the original price and its corresponding discount. But these outfits were out on the store for less then a day before they were slashed by almost 60%. Steam for example offers refunds to consumers who fall victim to that kind of BS.
-
You have to go to the main menu to disable it in the options. It's greyed out if you're in a Survivor or Killer lobby.
-
Because he's literally be the best killer in the game if he didn't have that restriction?
Straight up a better Legion and Hillbilly, and take far less skill and effort to play then Nurse and Spirit.
It'd be like the Spirit could see survivors during her phase, or Wraith could instantly uncloak with a single button press.
-
Hopefully soon. So over whiny teammates having temper tantrums like toddlers the moment the game stops going their way.
-
No. If they've made it to the Endgame alive and still haven't used DS, that's on you for not forcing them to.
They shouldn't be punished for playing well.
-
@ProfoundEnding said:
I didn't even notice. They probably took it out when they decided they didn't want thongs lmao
Doubt it. Spirit still has hers after all, and they also removed the jiggle from the Clown as well.
Seems much more likely to be an animation bug, in the same way as Felix's lobby animations are bugged when holding an item.

500,000 bp, even with streamers/cakes/puddings would still be reached in about 3-4 matches. If not using bp offerings/perks it would be reached in double that to a bit under half depending on how well you do.
It's also why I proposed the 750,000 limit as well.
Alright, but why change it in the first place? That's still forcing people to spend more time dumping them then necessary, especially so if you have to swap roles to do it so you can't even search for a match in the meantime.
I don't see any positives to such a change.
-
No thank you, I don't feel like having to hold up my SWF after every match to dump points into my Killers because you can hit the cap after one or two good games.
One million is fine.
-
Not to out do you, but...
-
BHVR (normally) drops updates at 11am Eastern Standard Time.
So exactly ten hours from now.
-
Because it'd be even more of a trash tier perk than it is now if it only affected others.
-
Hopefully not to soon; he's only a bit over a year old.
I'd rather some older characters like Jake, Hillbilly, Feng, Nea & Clown get a Tome first.
-
Wait until you see Ash's perk Flip-Flop.

If that's true. Then I didn't get the memo.
And also.. why would they do that? That would add more fuel to the Survivor Sided Controversy
To stop Hatch Standoffs.
Now, whoever gets there first wins, period. If the Survivor does, they get to Escape. The Killer does, they get to close it shut.
-
I was able to Dead Hard out of it once, so it's definitely possible.
-
Her humming is not her terror radius. It's a mechanic exclusive to her, and does not activate any perks that involve the terror radius (E.G Borrowed Time, Object of Obsession, Coulrophobia, Infectious Fright, etc).
-
Only applies to Hawkens, and to an extent Lery's.
The Game is small enough that you can get from gate to gate with relative ease, and Midwich is the most killer sided map in regards to the exit gate spawns, given you stand in the middle of the courtyard and watch both with minimal effort.
-
It's all well and dandy, but it requires the Killer to sacrifice two perk slots just to keep Ruin going a little longer, and you're not taking into account how the first Hex cleansed might be the Undying totem to begin with.
