These posts are a dime a dozen but what it really reveals is that there is a rot within the player base called hubris. this hubris is manefested in the "X perk is crap, Y perk is better and Killers can't run noed" YADDA YADDA YADDA! People were complaining about sound issues and silent slugs..... (killers) and I said if you get this bug often enough that it irritates you so much ADAPT and play with the perk "DEER STALKER" I have never YET had a silent slug! but the answer was "I don't want to devote a perk to this issue, it should be base kit!" this same thing is said of survivor stuff! YES! survivors say the same of several of their perks should be basekit! lets just put the perks on EVERY killer and every survivor, kill the blood points, give everyone unlimited items, add ons and offerings! no more blood web! you buy the game and you're elevated to the rank of having every survivor you have access to be P3-50 immediately! no work necessary! oh yea and since all perks are basekit, there is no need to decide what perk to use because we'll have em all!
this is the rot that has gotten a hold of many of this community, they think their way is the only way to play and when they don't like it they decide to dc! oh hey the killer found you right after you got on your first gen? let's run and if you're downed lets DC! yea that's right! oh yea.... perfect idea.... so now you've broken the rules, and the dc penalties are back and you have a 5 minute time out.... then another thing happens, it's now a 10 minute... now you don't like your killer slugging you for a minute while they chase the other survivor that was on your hip when you went down, so you dc now you're at 15 minutes..... eventually you work your way up to an hour and then suddenly your internet goes out.... oh yea complain you got a 6 hour ban for your internet going out. This is the other rot that is in the community there is nothing wrong with the game till you are unfairly affected. you know what? SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP! don't let your body try to write checks your eagles can't cash! (movie references!) anyways I know not everyone here is like that but that is the gist of what i keep seeing....
People make a big deal that suicide on the hook is the exact same as a dc well it isn't. ok say each hook state is 200, plus 600 for each hook itself. and a final 200 for the actual sacrifice so that is one hook, 600 + 200 for hook state one + 200 for hook state two + 200 for sac. that's 1200 points right there. Now the dc (on down before hook): that is 0 for all these values to the killer. so yes that's a big discrepancy in the amount of points. now add in 4 people (assuming one hook sac's) thats 4800 points! if all 4 people dc guess what the killer gets for that? a big fat ZERO! now look at survivor. it's 1000 points per save, and 500 if it's a safe hook rescue. that's 1500. if you dc on first down you just cost 1-3 people 1000 or more points.
so even if you "suicide on hook" you give the killer points and the orther survivors a chance to save your butt and get points. the game isn't about one survivor, it's about 4 survivors and one killer. now you'll say well what if the killer is taaxic? I mean they face camp and slug! that's just wrong and should be punishable by the game. Well it is not, the rules do not tell you how to be a killer just that you are to kill survivors and play the game. the rules do not tell you to not tbag at every pallet or gesture after you stun the killer as survivor so who the hell made up those rules that said this was toxic? the people that decided their game play rules was the only rules people can play by. Disconnecting should be an EXPLOIT when it is not used to stop a match from going on for ages after EGC is complete or that you're stuck in the geometry as PER the GAME RULES.
There's very little point to your argument on suicide hook points when the core of the problem is not the points but the fun factor of a match when killers go up against 3-2 survivors when the first 1-2 hook suicide early into the game with 5-4 gens still up. You know the remaining survivors have zero chance succeeding in fixing gens so now the rest of the game is just hide and seek. It's not fun, simple.

Yeah....no mither/tenacity or unbreakable/tenacity kinda takes care of that.
So many posts like this go out, and the only thing I can think of is that it's just survivors that either won't or don't want to play perks outside the established meta.
Scream perks? Calm Spirit. Aura reading issues with perks like Undying? Distortion. Seriously, this isn't that hard.
Infectious fright perk for example will reveal any survivors nearby and with knock out, others wont be around to pick the downed guy up any time soon, so you can snowball with infectious fright until everyone is down if you are lucky.

I'm glad they're back overall. The dc rate from the games I've played since has gone down to 0 (I know there will be some dc's in future, although normall it was a dc every other match before), and only 1 hook suicide.
Those regular dc's were ruining too many games.
However, if everyone is slugged, killers should do the right thing and hook them (unless waiting for DS to deactivate). Only an a**hole would just stretch it out. If there's a way to deal with that, it would be most welcome.
Yes, Killers should do the right thing and hook the downed survivors, but the thing is, there are many who get pleasure from other people's rage and misery so they love nothing more than waste everyone's time by not hooking and keeping the game hostage until everyone bleeds out. I see games like this quite often.
Even without trolls, there's also the well known builds that encourage slugging like the infamous knock out perk paired with some other perks that scream out the survivors nearby and allow the killer to quickly down the entire team and make everyone just wait around for their turn to be hooked, the first one getting downed naturally spends the most time on the ground dying of boredom.
Don't get me wrong, knock out is a fun perk, but it also encourages slug victories which often are the most annoying matches known to survivors.

I actually have just recently found a liking playing him after the rework. It had nothing to do with the rework though, just a coincidence of time that I came around to try him more and master him. He is quite fun to play. He's all over the map. Just like freddy, he can create some serious gen pressure.

This may be true, but what about the other scenarios that involve distance to windows or pallets? I can of course agree that the perk itself involves a certain level of skill and common sense for saves, tricky loops, and jukes.
Perhaps I focused too much on the specific scenario I disliked and missed other important things to add to the post itself. Since Dead Hard is pretty complex in terms of which is fair and which is not when you involve different scenarios and perks as well. I'll definitely be sure to edit that in above, since I suppose I was blinded by the main point I brought up.
If the pallet and window dead hard dash annoys you, which granted, is always a bit frustrating when survivors escape your grasp because of it, but that does not make the perk outright unfair. Just like there are many other useful perks for survivors to utilize in order to gain an advantage in chase, dead hard is just one tool in larger pool of possibilities to choose from. Yes, it's the most popular for a good reason, but again, that should not play a role in whether it's unfair because everyone's using it so it must be unfair like many tend to say or at least imply.
Killers have a lot of annoying tools in their hand as well which to bring under question whether they are fair or not. Dead hard is not a free one round loop perk. It works sometimes and sometimes it does not, just like any perk pretty much. Heck, sometimes it even crashes players to a wall and makes them lose a chase early.
The thing is, a good killer knows that Dead hard is not a perk that the survivor decides when to use, but when the killer forces them to burn it in a bad spot. It's about mind games around loops. If you chase like an NPC, the survivors can extend the chase to a ridiculous length with the help of the dead hard.
One important note for killers is to know when to give up a chase. Far too often do I see killers playing the infinite chase against someone who is way better than them and can just loop them forever, especially with dead hard. Give up the chase, go do something else and try again when the survivor is in a bad spot or has already spent their dead hard.
Considering all this, I really don't see dead hard an unfair perk in any way.
-
I have seen people pull some amazing hook saves comboed with some other useful perks with it that has resulted in an amazing defeat for me to which I can only raise my hat to. I myself have learned from these moves and applied them myself in my own survivor matches and seen its great potential over and over again. It's not unfair, you just need to learn who has it and next time predict it to make them waste it and then simply down them. If you know they have it, there's very little they can do to avoid your M1 really.
It's not a "get free out of chase" perk. Not even close. People fail with it constantly, even pros.

Yeah, it’s annoying but in the way you’re describing it, that just kinda sounds lazy.
I find it tedious because I never get the Teachables I want to show up. I realize this is partially my fault for flooding my Teachable pool with Huntress’ perks, Demogorgon’s two that aren’t Surge, and a bunch of other perks I probably shouldn’t have unlocked as Teachables but I wish there was a way to get something to drop in the Bloodweb — like a token or something — that would allow us to pick a perk to show up next of replace one of the existing options already in our Bloodwebs.
Iveuryvscjf
With that logic, imagine if you were to play some mmorpg with extreme heavy grind on a quest that you have to repeat like 50 times to get something specific from it, and naturally, you find it absolutely tedious and unfun to do, but if you complain about it, people just call you lazy.
This is pretty much the logic you are applying on me when I say that the bloodweb is built to be a tedious grind and all I wish is just a simple button to empty my bloodpoints to a single character and move on with my life to actually play the game. I don't think it's lazy because the process behind it is not well implemented in the first place, it clearly requires improvement, don't you agree?

Killer: Play time is over:
- "Play time is over" activates when last two survivors haven't touched a single gen for 80 seconds. When active, the auras of remaining survivors can be seen for 6 seconds every time a gen has not been touched for 80 seconds.
This is to counter end-game hiding where killers waste time patroling gens when the survivors are too scared to continue the game, knowing they will lose for sure so both just camp the hatch in hopes another one is found and gets killed so they can get the hatch. It's frustrating as a killer, not finding anyone for 5 straight minutes.

I reported two players for unsportmanslike behaviour (trolling SWF that did nothing for 15 minutes) a while ago, send a video, steam ID, so theoretically they had everything they needed. The answer I got was: "there is not enough Information but thank you for your service." The ticket was closed, so I couldn't ask for more details.
I don't get it. If there is not enough Information, why wouldn't they ask me to provide more before closing the ticket? If they think the situation doesn't warrant a penalty than why wouldn't they tell me that so that I know for the future what falls under unsportmanslike behaviour and what not?
I know, hacking is a more serious issue, but it is really discouraging to take the time to fill a report just to get such an answer, so I'm not sure, if I would do that again.
This is a perfect example why I can't be bothered to report hackers anymore. It's simply too much to ask for too little effort from their end.

I have worked with it long enough to be rightfully bothered beyond the need to just suck it up and just work with what I have right now. That is why I am complaining until we get a real change.

Yet another person who didn't read the post. You shouldnt have to be forced to wait 2 years for the same advantage I had from day 1 because I spent money. Have people work for perks by making them pay with shards no matter what week it is.
I see nothing wrong with your lack of insight on this subject except for the fact you take up space for real conversation
Someone disagree with you = You are right, they are wrong.
Sigh, I read your post, but you are just full of cry over nothing and continue to cry even when someone still doesn't agree with you. You refuse to accept that not everyone agrees with your statements about DBD and its business model.

Yet another selfish "I want everything for free without having to work for it" player who thinks the game is P2W if he can't have the stuff he wants without having to play the game to get them.
I see nothing wrong with the monetization system on DBD other than the cosmetics are overpriced for a game that is not free.

I would not do anything in my power to help alleviate the rough experience for new players. Quite on the contrary, I would do everything to my power to play hard and show no mercy so that they have the most authentic experience, which would encourage them to write on the forum about their thoughts and experience. This information would prove most vital for BHVR to change things as they do not want to lose new players who are also potential new customers to their ingame shop.
If it falls upon our shoulders to "fix" the devs' bad decisions, soon we find ourselves doing the same as the community of Fallout players.
-
Perk tiers offer no real value to the game, never has. They are only flooding the bloodweb forcing people to spend more time playing the game to grind for tier 3 perks for each character. That triples the amount of work for each character in the game, but offers no value for the time nor the bloodpoints spent.
-
If you understand the killer's mecahnics, you know when to drop the pallet earlier or later comapred to other killers. This perk would be just another garbage perk to fill the bloodweb. No thank you.
I have had no issue dropping pallets against Pyramid head or the Deathslinger, nor should you if you understand how to play them.

Ranks don't mean anything, It's a soft indicator of someone's skill. You just need to play a lot to get red ranks, there's red ranks that play poorly but are only up there because they play so much and there's low rank players that are really good but don't play often cause the rank reset every month. (13th)
This is hardly true but just something the devs said which does not reflect on the actual events that are currently taking place in the game. I am a rank 1 veteran with thousands of hours in the game scattered across all platforms, but mostly PC. Despite having plaid dozens upon dozens of games already with the new mmr system, I still get paired against low skilled players who get obliterated.
Rank does matter, always has. There are red ranks who play bad, but they still understand the game better than green or grey ranks. This whole lie that rank does not hold any value in regards of skill is just absolute nonesense. As someone who has played this game since it came out, I know this far too well. Devs can say whatever they want in defense of their new system, but it ain't fooling any old players.

So far, its been a nightmare for me. Playing Killer (Only Bubba) since the MMR came out has been awful, I've played at least 10 hours worth of games and still get 1 red rank on the other team, with 3 rank 19's, and its a complete massacre at 5 gens.
Try 10x that number and you get where I am. I also play mostly just bubba as he is my main, and no, it's not getting any better by the hour.

Exactly what I mean , it’s awful when I play killer , the game ends in minutes and I feel so bad , and as survivor most of the time it’s either a bad team and near impossible to win , or a good team and a low rank killer who has no idea what they are doing and dc or just lose horribly, I don’t want to be modest but I would say I’m pretty good considering my 3000+ hours experience and these aren’t fair or fun games
Good to hear I am not the only one with this same exact problem you described. Hopefully BHVR will see their error in their decision with the new MMR and roll back to the old one until they come up with something better.

I experienced several bugs. The bugs are acceptable if they don't affect your gameplay. I'm having Error code:111 since the latest patch. It's been like 7-8 days. I can't play the game. I can't gain any bloodpoints nor ranks. What's the point right? :)
Is that the one with the network not working? Because if it is, the simple fix for it is reseting your network via windows PC, not by router.

It has been explained before that it takes some matches for the skill rating to go into effect properly in that regard, if it's a new killer of if you have started a new game.
I have been playing Leather Face none stop since the new MMR took place and I still get paired against low skill survivors who barely understand this game. I can assure you, none of us are having fun, not me, not them. When can I expect the new system to do its magic?
-
I personally am pretty decent nurse despite having least experience playing her out of all killers. No matter who I get paired against, if they understand the basic nature of nurse, they can outplay me pretty easily until I quickly learn their mind game patterns before all the gens get done. I think playing a nurse is more about predicting your opponent's next move when you begin the blink charge because that's when everyone tends to make their "move" to throw you off.
I like that Nurse has this unique playstyle compared to other killers, but what I don't like about her is exactly what you said. Mastering this killer, unlike any other killer in the game, is simply not fun. I persoanlly don't like the constant fatique of looking down on the ground after blink, it frustrates me, especially when missing too many times in a row. I wish there was a better way to play her that did not force me to spend most of my time in a fatique state in a match, looking at the ground all time. That's not fun.
-
You mean, broke them? I can barely see the auras. I have literally stopped using BBQ and Kindred because I can't make sense of the auras.
-
I hate the comment they made that the rank is not real indication of skill but rather just playtime where red ranks are those who play a lot and anyone else just plays less and that's what gets you to different ranks, not skill. This is total boggus. My gf and I play a lot of dbd together and despite her being on my side playing with me every time and me teaching her the ways of the red rank, she has been unable to rise through the ranks - not because of her play time, she got plenty, but because she does not perform well in the matches well enough to climb the rank ladder - Very understandable and that's how it should be.
This new system is a complete chaos that ignores skill and favors something that the MMR thinks is "balanced".

I disagree with your last sentence. If fixing a MAJOR bag which prevents people playing the game is taking more than ONE WEEK there is a problem somewhere.
Tell me what bug are you specifically refering to, or do you suggest there are multiple game breaking bugs that have been left ignored by the team?
-
My queue times as killer has defenitely got up, not something I am very pleased with, but it's not like it was good to begin with. I often find myself waiting around 5-10min for a match and that match that I get more often than not ends before it even got started, thanks to the new MMR system.
-
Some kind of tentacle monster killer like one of the iconic villains from Pirates of the carribian, except more horrific-looking, perhaps?
-
I keep hearing this argument made: "give it time, things will get better, it will fix itself soon". I would love to believe that, but I happen to play this game almost all day every day, rank 1, and I still get matched against lower level players. Even after countless games I have now played, I am nowhere near getting paired against players that are in the same skill level as me.
Do you guys have any idea how frustrating and annoying it is having to wait long queue times as Killer and get into a match that ends before it even got started. Most of my games are 5-4 gen games where the survivors can not outrun me, they don't know any mind games, and they bump into objects on their path all the time while trying to look behind them, resulting in getting easy caught. This is not fun for someone who has been playing this game for many years now. I feel absolutely disgusted obliterating every match without real challenge and I bet the survivors are the ones who really feel the hurt more than me having no chance whatsoever in winning or escaping.
-
A company with a succesful game should always hire extra hands according to the profits which will allow it, no one is arguing with that, I bet. However, we have no idea whether BHVR is already doing that or whether they really need it at this point in time. What you see happening in DBD may not be the cause of lack of staff, but leadership and decisions done in the higher levels that prevent improvements in right sectors where they are needed, or improvements in such speed that will keep majority of the community happy.
However, I personally have very little to complain gameplay-wise and more to complain about the customer service/support, that's where they really need staff. I have waited for almost a week for an answer to a simple question to which I just today received a bot answer of "We are currently looking into your issue and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!"
- Yeah, thanks, I would have rather been happier if you had just ignored me until you actually have the time to help me. You could have sent that auto-letter the second I submited my ticket. It's clear that you are not looking into my issue because it would have taken any of you working there only few seconds to answer my question, nothing to look into really.
-
It's hardly an abuse, and this comes from a longtime main killer rank 1. There is the time limit and slugging as a very strong option to counter it. If someone chooses to glue themselves to a gen, forcing you to eat the DS, you can always do a lunge attack to avoid grabbing them and downing them for slug until the ds goes down.
-
I don't really think it's as bad as people make it sound. I am still enjoying playing the game. Sure there are things that rub me the wrong way:
- The customer service/support is very slow.
- The skins are overpriced and are only slowly becoming more expensive with "rare unique skins" like the minotaur Oni. Now if this was a free-to-play game or with free DLCs, that would be another story.
- There are dozens of perks that are wiedly regarded as garbage perks, and has been for a very very long time, you never see anyone using them, not even to troll. There is a clear meta perk builds that has not changed for ages because even the new perks that are introduced to the game often are garbage perks as well. Yes, we just got some perks updated with hillbilly and LeatherFace but this is far too slow progress when it comes to perks. There's still a whole bunch of bad perks that are untouched and how long will we have to wait to see those upgraded...
- The amount of people DCing is all time high and there is no longer penalty for it. Sure, it has its benefits like not having to feel like a hostage in games where killer fools around, but it also makes way for people to quit early if things don't go perfect for them. Happens a lot.
- Cheaters are on a rise and the current report system is total garbage to which I have not heard any improvement or focus from BHVR's part. Would be something to even hear that they are looking into improving the system.
But while there is negative to say, I also want to point out things that I have found great about the game:
- The new improvements that are on their way like new graphical overhaul of the entire game.
- The Licensed DLCs has been just great, especially Pyramid head that also brought a very unique map to the game that feels more alive and exciting than any other map. It's also exciting to know that BHVR is capable to aquire licenses to some very unique IPs like Konami's Silent Hill, so there is much to be excited about when they tease with a new licensed killer. (Please give me Kayako from Grudge <3)
- We are getting new skins constantly and some of the new skins have began to look way better than what they used to be in terms of quality (Yes, people see the cosmetics as a bad thing, but it's still new content. It's not the same people developing skins, programming the game, and doing other stuff. The skins would be focused on and made regardless of how many bugs there are in the game).
- Yes there are bugs, but these bugs whenever introduced by a patch, they get fixed. Overall, the team is taking good care of the bugs.
-
I love it how the devs say the rank does not matter, but it's always the rank 12-20 players who prove themselves beginners in the game comapred to their friends in the team who may be closer to rank 1 and perform well in that match.
I have been paired against beginne survivors for the most part for all the time since the new Matchmaking took place and as a killer, I have been able to end matches every single time before they even began. It's absolutely boring and I feel disgusted. I am not even using any dirty tricks or playing tryhard, it's just that these players are not skilled enough to go against me, simple.
I used to get great matches against rank 1-5 players who understood the game before the new matchmaking took place, but now it's to a point where I no longer find joy playing a killer.
-
Thus far I have been paired against beginners when playing LeatherFace, and I am LeatherFace main, always have been. I play almost nothing but him, but still, I get paired against low skilled players - No disrespect to anyone.

In those (rare) cases, you DC, report them for holding the game hostage, which is against the TOS, and then relax for 5 minutes until the ban is up. You've still saved time over dealing with having the game held hostage, and if the match was going that poorly you likely had very few points, so, a minor inconvenience, but nothing compared to the ACTUAL ban the killer will get.
The report does absolutely nothing unless I have gameplay footage of the crime, report ingame and then go to a website to fill out a form with all the evidence. This takes time, and believe me, this is not a rare occassion when it happens, so no, I won't bother. BHVR needs t ofix their report system and make it easy and quick to use, but also, effective.
-
Been matched up against some first time players as a rank 1 (veteran player). I feel utterly disgusted by these matches how easy they are, and no in a fun way. I feel like playing against easy difficulty bots. Nothing against these players, it's just that we are in complete different league. It's not fun knowing you are going to win every single match unless someone brings a key.
-
I am all for punishing DCers, they ruin the game for everyone. Then again, it's double edged sword...
On one hand you want to punish those who rage quit on the first down and early - They have wasted everyone's time by breaking the flow of the game that is suppose to be 4vs1 not 3vs1 or 2vs1.
Then again... If you punish DCers, you run into a problem where killers hold you hostage in some games and if you DC just to get out of the game, you get punished for something they are responsible for and should be punished for instead.
Now at least, I can just dc if I see killer keeping the game hostage. Sure, I lose my points for the match and it sux, but beats being slugged and dragged around and downed for the next 10-20 minutes.

Always trap the major building in the map. Always. Even if the traps are obvious. It's better to lay multiple traps around the building than just one, to make the survivor think they took care of the trap there, when in fact there are more waiting around. Every survivor will eventually run there knowing it's a powerful loop area and find themselves trapped in chase.

The report system is fine honestly. Whats not fine, is the response time, not that I think they can do much about it. I send evidence of a killer and survivor working together to kill the survivors. In other words they were teaming up to ######### over the remaining 3 survivors. And they started doing this immediately. I had by coincidence my game recording program running so I took all the evidence and send all the required information (steam profile etc).
Got a message within reasonable time, that hey your report has been received and is being looked at. So I thought nothing more of it and forgot about it. Yesterday 33 days later, I got a message that "We are reviewing your evidence thanks for the report".
So I would say reporting works......but it does take a long time since they probably have to manually review a lot of the cases before they deal out harsher punishments. At least would be my guess.
Reporting works on a very bad level that it was designed as. There is no modern game as of today that implements the same old technique of forcing a player 1. Gather own video footage as evidence 2. Report ingame 3. After reporting in game, step outside of the game to report again on a website - all this before your report is valid for review. How many do you think really do all those 3 steps to report 1 cheater out of many they will come across every now and then. Even I, who is a hardcore dbd fan can't bother anymore to do this process.
So no, it's not fine, not even by the slightest.

Survivors:
- Constant flash-clicking towards killer when pallet stunned or flash saved etc.
- T-baging when pallet stunned or flash saved etc.
Killer:
- Slugging and refusing to pick up, letting people bleed to death.
- Keeping people in the game for as long as possible despite having already won the match. Same as above pretty much but there are ways to prolong the game even further. like closing hatch, downing survivor at the gate, not letting them open the gate, not letting them bleed out, not letting them run away, etc.
The killer's side needs to be addressed, because there are those who force people to dc, which is no fun, and again, the report system is trash that does not encourage people to report in order to punish these players efficiently and frequently.

I spent most of my time in lobby leveling up my characters by spending blood points for different killers. Now I can only do it for 1 killer that I have currently selected for that specific match and often is the case that the killer I play already have full prestige and bloodweb completed and I don't want to waste my bloodpoints on them, so now I just sit there waiting in boredome.
"But why don't you just play with your phone or do something else while waiting for a match?"
Answer: Becasue the times when I do need to spend the bloodpoints on some characters, I get bored out of my mind having to buy each item on the blood web seperately for 1 million blood points. Waiting for a match used to be the best time to spend blood points...
I want insta-spend-all-bloodpoints button implemented in the game so I don't have to buy things seperately, I could just press one button and be done with it.

I used to hate noed even when palying as a killer, but over time I have grown to appreciate its role in the game. Mori however is still pretty useless and only serves to give unfair power to killers to both taunt and end games prematurely and earn undeserved victories.

Am I the only one who didn’t feel like Leatherface needed the rework? I’m red rank survivor and everytime I’d get stuck with a Leatherface of purple rank or higher my team would get decimated. I feel like all this did was give him more power that he honestly didn’t need tbh.
This is a long time coming. I have played LeatherFace for so long as rank 1 killer and I always felt like playing in a handicaped mode compared to other killers. He was so easy to outrun, he was so predictable in everything he could do within his powers. I am happy he got buffed but he got buffed way too much xd

I don't think there was anything wrong with Bill in the first place so I am glad they did not give him a real punishing nerf but a mild one anyone can play around who has enough brain not to charge the chainsaw 24/7

This is pretty standard business practice. How do you think these people make money to keep the game alive and active with new content.
The sales on the game came and went, the biggest money comes from microtransactions and the more enticing they are the easier people empty their wallet. I literally bought the rift pass for the very first time because I liked the Meg's skin-revealing outfit. Give me any sexy outfit, I buy it, I love some eye-candy while running away from the killer, haha.
Anyway, my point is, good for them to have a healthy business sense. If all outfits were behind paywall, now that would be pretty messed up. It is only natural that some outfits remain behind paywall for them to make money. Now do I like that I have to pay real money instead of playing the game to earn them, obviously, I don't, but I understand how businesses work. It's tough love.
