hey, what are his best addons? also while you're at it, what are good perks to use?

I like to run (As a troll build because I now can): Iron Grasp, Mad Grit, Agitation, Enduring.

Once you get someone down, that's when the fun begins. You just run around searching for survivors while holding one on your shoulder, usually someone will come along trying to rescue by taking a hit, but they don't know you run mad grit so you get extra time to the struggle and get a free hit + hook. Heck, sometimes you can manage to down a survivor by hitting them twice as they try to continue to waste your time, not realizing how fast you are.

This build also let's you choose where you want to hook people, so pretty often you get to hook people all the way to the basement and force a basement stand-off. This does not mean you should camp the basement, just position the survivors to more favorable situation where they are not working on gens as much but rather try to sneak their way in basement despite you are not even there. This often buys one time to do a complete gen patrol to have better understanding what gens are being worked on.

As for real perks if I am not trolling: Knock out, Enduring, Infectious fright, and Pop goes the weasel.

I used to run BBQ instead of knock out or infectious fright depending on my mood, but the new auras are so horrible that I can barely see anyone with it.

Knock out buys you time when downing survivors, so you can go save a gen real quick if you know one is about to be finished (without fearing someone will come and rescue the downed survivor as they don't know where he is, usually). Infectious fright helps you know whether you can pick someone up savely when they are downed on a pallet path. Of course, it also gives you valuable info how many people are around. Pop and enduring is pretty self explanatory I think...

  • dbd_bug.png

Ladies and Gentlemen, just today, a rock blocking a pallet path. Nothing out of the ordinary, just your perfectly well generated map.

  • I am way more concerned about the amount of cheaters that have been present as of late on PC. The current report system is trash which only gives a free pass for many cheaters to continue to cheat. That's one thing that really needs to be addressed and quick.

  • Now that I have got a pretty decent amount of time playing the new LeatherFace, I have come to appreciate his ability to mind-game with the chainsaw by changing direction and actually having the fuel in chainsaw to sweep all the way to the other side from unexpected direction. It has given him a whole new possibility to mind-game around walls and window corners.

However, my original statement has not changed anywhere. I still feel like a God playing him, and with each match, I have only grown more and more powerful being able to abuse his unchecked power to a point where games end before they even started pretty much almost every single game now. I'm having fun, but I don't think the survivors are...

I wonder if the budget fix is their decision or forced because of the coding. I know Scott talked about it on YouTube I don’t think they expected this success so they didn’t think the coding was going to be such an issue. Now for every fix two more things get broken.

Perhaps, but they are still fixing bugs and playing an active role in improving the game. It's pretty basic stuff that fixes introduce new bugs, that's pretty much how coding works. I am glad they fix them rather than ignore.

  • Being the last one to leave a match victorious simply means that your team needs to all survive and you just need to make sure that you leave last. If you ask me, that's hardly a disgusting challenge but rather a challenging one. I would gladly take upon this challenge. Yes, it takes time, because it relies on other people to do a good job and escape, but then again, it's not that rare, at least in my experience.

What I hate is the Legion 5 Frenzy stab challenge. I used to be a Legion main for a very long time and I can only remember ever being able to pull this kind of move only once or twice in my entire history of playing that killer. So, that's something to rage about.

  • Those are such bad examples you throw, but I see your point.

It took them forever to fix LeatherFace's audio bug where the chainsaw looped forever until used again when pallet slammed. However, this is hardly about budget, but rather their decision to introduce fixes in bulk rather than single hotfixes. It takes time for them to bring out fixes to things they have already fixed a while ago. However, they do fix and meintenance the game, so I am not complaining but rather happy they take good care of their game. Can't say the same about many other games I enjoy to play.

  • @Yamaoka said:

Translation: "this killer can't be looped for 5 gens anymore please nerf!"

Not really, but one or two loop would be decent to ask, don't you agree?

  • Toxic behavior in online games is always part of every community/playerbase. League of Legends is one of the most toxic games I have ever come across but I learned to ignore it and enjoy the game as it was. Same is true to DBD, but that does not mean I will tolerate toxic behavior. It's completely different when a player insults me in chat, I don't start crying from what strangers say to me on internet, but when they influence my match by toxic behavior, that's when I say "stop. get some help". They are making an effort to make my game bad, not just insulting by words, but by actually using the game's mechanics to ruin others' fun. That's just messed up.

  • LeatherFace used to be my answer had you asked me before the latest update. However, now, I think deathslinger is the weakest. He has zero map pressure even if you try your best. However, if good at sniping with the hook, one can end games pretty quickly.

So u don't want 4ks then. I love him and I might main him now. I main huntress and trapper currently but leatherface could be a third main for me now

No need to put words in my mouth, I never said I don't want 4ks. I don't want super easy 4ks that do not require much skill but just playing an op character that puts survivors in great disadvantage. I am happy to hear you love him, so do I and I highly encourage you to main him, there is no such thing as too many bubbas even when we are generally hated by the survivors due to bubba camp culture.

You can easily ask yourself the same question about the survivors you were playing against.

Were they good survivors that actually knew how to loop and tried some different things against you or were you playing against the Rank 20 survivors that make up the majority of Red rank?

I would say he is fine now.People just need some time to figure out the counterplay.

Yes, I can honestly say that the players I come across are no beginners but pros.

  • @Purgatorian said:

I keep banging on about Child's play, no matter how likely or unlikely this may be, and I will stand firm until Chucky is my killer main.

I hear you, Chucky would be absolutely awesome addition to the game. Now, how tall would he be with the hitboxes and all, that would probably be problematic in his design.

  • The only thing I hate about this new system is that I used to be able to spend 1 million blood points while waiting for a match, spending these blood points on different killers as a way to kill time. Now when I play a killer that has all prestiges and perks and I dont want to spend bloodpoints on that killer, I must step out of the queue to spend the blood points which is, let me tell you, one of the most tedious things I have to do in this entire game. I want that insta button that empties all blood points to a certain character with a single click of a button, not having to go through the tedious process of buying each item on the blood web seperately.

  • I hate the new auras, I can barely see them. I used to run BBQ all the time on many killers but because of the new aura, I don't want to use any aura based perks at all as I don't find them reliable anymore.

  • People need to consider than when they judge the new LeatherFace based on their experience against other LeatherFace players, you have to ask yourself:

    1. Is this LeatherFace player actually good playing this killer.
    2. Is he actually good playing as a killer in general, does he understand pressure or does he only chase one guy most of the game and try to tunnel while everyone else get free gens to work on.
    3. Does he know how to use his chainsaw efficiently.

Obviously, if the Leatherface player is not a good killer, it is hard to say whether the new Leatherface is op or not, because even an op character can be trash in the wrong hands. Look at high rank games where people play in competitive level, how do those killers perform is much better data to go on whether a killer is op or not.

Never in my life have I had matches this easy as when playing Leatherface. Now, naturally, this is a very nice change of scenery after been low tier killer for so long, one of the worst ones in the game. I do enjoy my time with the buff and if devs do nothing to nerf him, well, I can't say I am losing anything. I am just looking out for the best interest of both survivors because I understand that this killer is not fair currently.

  • @douggie123 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/176125/so-the-new-leather-face-is

He is absolutely fine for God's sake. Your a leatherface main why are you complaining. He isn't broken, people just ain't use to seeing him a bit stronger than before.

Yes, exactly on point. It is because I am a Leatherface main that I know to say when my character has been pumped full of steroids to a point where I no longer need to do any heavy lifting trying to win. I get 4k way too easily with the new Leatherface, using tactics that were never before possible and are way too unfair against survivors.

Yes, it is a valid point to make that people are not yet used to the new LeatherFace, but these are not the type of problems that will go away once the people know how to play against him, he can not be outran in most cases compared to other killers.

Also, windows. Bubba can do nothing against windows, locker jukes are even easier against him and you can always run him around a rock so he bumps in.

Yes, windows and lockers are decent escapes against leatherface, which is good, I am not saying he does not have weaknesses. Good thing he has something, but pallet loops are a thing of the past, that's for sure. Running around the rock statement however does not make much sense. You are talking about bad Leatherface players who tend to often make such mistakes, against a good one who knows how to steer the chainsaw to not bump into objects, he can easily chase down around objects using the new chainsaw - I know because I have done it constantly with great success.

Well you see, the developers dont actually test their own game....

They probably ran a noob around a loop or two and called it a day

There was a beta test for the new build and people were already pointing out how op strong the killer is. That's what makes this whole thing pretty bizzar that they would release the killer in the same state in which the players had viewed way too powerful for the live server.

  • @snozer said:

Now do it without top tier addons.

I am mainly talking about without top tier addons, if you add the top tier addon, oh boi, oooooh boi oh boi oh boi.

  • @ClickyClicky said:

I dont wanna judge completely because I havent been able to test him enough yet but this wouldnt surprise me at all. Ever since the company became afraid of the loudest voices on the forums everything they put out now is basically about killers or things on the killer side that take no skill and offer zero counterplay.

The part about Bubba being able to make it out of the basement and render borrowed time useless is what worried me the most. Looking at his chainsaw I felt this may happen.

We all know in DBD if the killer has an ability to camp thats how it will be used so yeah good job to the developers on making basement Bubba builds meta

I hoped to see the devs address the camping mechanic of bubba, but with the new patch, I dare to say, he is even more fearsome near a hook than ever before. He can start charging his chainsaw even from a distance from the hook and by the time the survivor unhooks the other one, the chainsaw is already on its way to them and even if they manage to get some distance which would have been more than enough before, at least one of them if not both will still go down.

As a survivor, just sitting in a place and watching the killer patrol the area for 5 minutes is just not fun. Just doing gens or sitting in one place is NOT FUN.

As a killer, searching an area for a minute is not fun since I know that gens are being worked on and there is no chase so its not fun.

Then you are playing the game wrong or the game is just not for you. I for one play both sides (more killer than survivor, but still). As survivor I play agrressive, less hiding, more running, saving, healing teammates. There's lots of action. As a killer, I play even more aggressive, giving up on chases quickly and go create pressure elsewhere, downing people and forcing their teammates to come to pick them up as I go chase someone else, always keeping eye which gens are being worked on and remmeber to return to them before they get done. It is total chaos around the map and it often lands me 4k because the survivors can't handle the constant pressure, never having time to sit on a gen. It's all about your playstyle. If I was patrolling gens 247, chasing 1 person 247, or searching an area for a hiding survivor till I find them, I would be quite bored out of my mind.

    Sadly this is the case.

When I used to report people, I realized it can literally take 30+ minutes of your time to get the required video evidence, dig up steamid64, go through the process, edit/chop/upload video that then gets rejected by the server, etc,... it takes time to report people.

Yeah, I too got rejected report by the server when I used to do the manual labor that is the current report system, part of the very reason why I no longer can take it. The biggest slap to the face is when you have done all the work and then suddenly the form does not get sent and you have to fill it up all over again.

  • For people who think this is about smashing in literal meaning to point where I break my keyboard like a raging little kid, come on guys... What I meant was that over the years as I have played this game almost daily, these two buttons wear out to a point where it is no wonder why my A and D keys suddenly stop working where as other letters work just fine. It is just the nature of this game that rapidly tapping A and D is bound to wear them out over time. Same is true for the space bar when struggling on hook.

Also, even if we ignore the breaking part, can we just agree that the struggle mechanic is simply not fun nor smooth. I doubt that many of you can get the bar to progress in steady clean pace if not using some bot program that presses the keys for you that some people like to use.

  • Wow that's way too op of a perk, everyone would be running that. That's pretty much one free save with two guys sitting on a hook taking zero damage xd

  • Gotta love me some old fashion Grudge movies, or Ju-On, whichever you like to call them. I like the American adaptation more than the original Japanese version, but I haven't seen the latest one yet, so can't say on that part.

  • I am quite happy to see the amount of discussion this has raised. I think I should provide my more detailed take on the Noed since people are this interested to discuss the perk based on a quick off the lip opinion.

I think Noed is a great way to punish gen rushing, I think that's its purpose just like ds's purpose is to prevent tunneling. Noed is not there without a purpose just to offer free hooks. The whole existence of noed perk makes some people cleanse totems just like ds makes some killers not pick the survivor even if they don't run ds, out of the sheer fear of not wanting to eat it. This is powerful psychological tool to make survivors want to cleanse the totems... also, it gives good amount of blood points so it's not entirely wasted time even if the killer ends up not having it.

However! I do not think the perk is perfect, not in the slightest. It has so much more potential to be tweaked to something more balanced that will please both sides, killers and survivors. I don't know how exactly, but that's for the devs to figure out.

  • @Zeus said:

Trying to get all totems to counter noed is a bad against because

    1. You're wasting time and killer might not have noed

    2. If you get totems that spawn on obvious areas then the very well hidden final totem that becomes a hex would be troublesome to find.

    1. Wasting time is exactly the whole point of Noed. Just like DS is for killer to waste time on a downed survivor who doesn't even have DS perk. You take the risk, you suffer the consequences. It does not always reward to cleanse the totems or not to cleanse them.
    2. There is a perk to help find totems. The choice not to run that perk is on the player, not the game's design. You have the option to ease your search for totems or run the chance that they are either easy to find or hard to find. Hex totems should be hard to find, otherwise they would be wasted perks as they get cleansed quickly before serving their purpose.
  • Why is my Pyramid head and Legion at B, is this some kind of personal attack or something.

I will have you know, I 4K almost every match with them without much effort (Rank 1) :D

  • @HectorBrando said:

I believe they have already decided on removing the button mashing thing and the survey is to gauge the community reaction, which should be positive since Im yet to find one person who likes how it works.

Good thing if they have already decided on changing it, that is a relieve to hear. I seriously don't understand how the devs could have let that system run this long. Kinda like I wonder how the heck can they still let Mori be a thing.

  • @Milo said:

Maybe it was a bug if there are 2 survivors?

I know for a fact that if it's the last last survivor it will kill them.

Yeah, I had 2 survivors on the special hooks so maybe that's it...

  • I have been playing Pyramid head for a good while now and can say from my experience that PH is anything but OP in general.

The only OP thing he has that I don't like is the 98% safe ground shot on survivors who are locked on the animation of vaulting a window or dropping a pallet. It's very easy to predict when they are forced to jump through a window or drop a pallet and then just shoot them right before this, guaranteed hit every single time and there's absolutely nothing they can do about it at that point. If they choose to mind-game and instead just not drop a pallet or jump through a window, PH quickly recovers from his special ability to M1 them for trying to mind-game. There needs to be a a small slow recovery time for releasing PH special ability if not fired.

That could very well be true, but looking at the tweet i don’t see it as directly pushed. They decided it for themselves, after getting feedback and realizing they already have contradicted their original statement.

looking at the tomes and the actual devs I would have guessed that they would have gone in this direction on their own eventually, they are themselves very diversive and have already shown that they are an inclusive company.

Also I guess some day they will also add LGBT licenses chars (Robin from Stranger Things plz) and this wouldn’t have a direct impact I would assume

also also: no one wants unnecessary pandering just for the sake of it. I personally really hope they will only mention it in backstories where it is fitting and actually contributes to the character building.

Let's hope it stays to that ^^

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1355981#Comment_1355981

Even though you will probably ignore my arguments again:

They are ever expanding their lore and backstories for their characters, and even though they are not mentioning sex directly they have already mentioned relationships. Now it would feel very repetitive if they only ever add straight relationships and this would also feel very forced. But relationships are a big part of many characters and may have heavy impact on them, may it be marriage partners, abusive exes, „the one that got away“ or just normal everyday relationships. It would feel very restrictive if no char ever had a meaningful samesex relationship. Now coming to trans: this is even bigger and can define a character completely, this also has nothing to do with sex, but with character and personal development, growth and for LGBT people it is the case that defining situations happen to be around this theme. Here is hoping that BHVR will not only focus on this of course, because that would be 1-dimensional and shallow, but why should they not acknowledge this if they have a character that is actually part of LGBT community? Why should they restrict themselves in this regard given the lore we have already in the game?

Now that's what I call an argument! well presented and well said! See Orion, you can learn something from Mooks.

I have nothing against BHVR adding LGBT stuff into the story, I never had and I have stated that on multiple occasions now. Where I draw the line is when and if BHVR starts to pander to LGBT community pushing a movement which is what usually happens when LGBT community raise their voice wanting that kind of stuff added to the game. Before we know it, we start seeing cosmetics with LGBT slogans and whatnot. I would not care even if they added something like that if it made sense game-wise, but since DBD is not about LGBT nor straights, stuff like this would break immersion and push forward a movement that nobody wants to see in their video games. We just want to play. But you are right on one thing from your previous posts, once these things become reality, that is a fine time for outrage not before, however, we do reserve the right to raise our concern for what a future can hold as we are not without any basis for our concerns - there is a lot to be worried about when it comes to feminists, SJW, and LGBT movements in video games.

I do belive that you are on to something when you say that stories with just straight characters can be 1-dimensional, but what they certainly are not is forced unlike you stated. If the developers want to tell a straight story, that is their decision, just like if they want to add LGBT characters or not, it is also their decision, I don't think that is something that should be pushed upon them. Now if they have stated previously that they support LGBT, that's pretty obvious for both as a company that wants to stay in business in 2020 and also as many who live in this century do understand that there is nothing wrong with LGBT in general. However, whether they want that kind of stuff to their game, it's all up to them. What you have told me, it seems they do want LGBT stuff to them, but what I believe is that this is something that was pushed on them, not because they geniuanelly want it. Many comapnies do that just to avoid backlash and PR nightmare.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1355839#Comment_1355839

So you can't provide any argument for why LGBT characters require a specific reason to exist in a game, is what I'm hearing?

no, what you are hearing is what you want to hear. I have presented my argument to your request in my previous post, but of course you just don't want to acknwoledge it. But just for your pleasure because I am such a nice guy, here it is again:

"It's because devs don't care about this stuff when they create characters for their video games. They don't make a character and think "Oh yeah, this guy's totally straight, let's go with that" - They just make a character, period. If you think that when a game has a straight character that is pretty much the base of all characters in video games and you automatically assume that the devs used braincells to come up with the character being straight..." End of quote because the rest is not relevant to this case.

Now to add to that, I don't think that LGBT characters need a reason to be explained if they want to be added to a video game, only just when it doesn't make sense to add them to a specific video game, such as this one. Again, DBD is not a game about sexuality, so obviously you need to make a case as to why LGBT characters need to be added. The same goes for straight characters. If I want more straight characters to DBD, I need to present a case as to why and how the game and its playerbase would benefit from it.

Just because there are straight characters in a video game is not a valid argument to add LGBT characters and vice versa. Now what is a valid argument is the story part if you feel that LGBT characters would enrich the lore somehow, but on that part you need to go into details to strengthen your case. I don't see any reason as to why LGBT characters would enrich the story and the reason why is the same as before, because the game is not about sexuality, it never was and it never will be because all it is about is 4 survivors running away from a killer in the realm of a powerful entity, end of story. There are back stories to these characters, yes, but they do not revolve around sex.

That pretty much sums up my argument, now may I hear yours? Or are you going to say mine is not valid :D ?

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1355658#Comment_1355658

I refuse to type out an argument because I disagree with the premise that LGBT people need a reason to be included beyond the whims of the developers whereas heterosexuals do not. Make a solid argument for that first, and then you'll get one from me.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1355746#Comment_1355746

It's going to be written in the lore and not shoved in anyone's face.

"I refuse to type out an argument" for a case that you presented in the first place, yeah, that makes sense. So you just want LGBT to the game because it has straight characters in it, that's your final statement then. Well now I really want that pony in DBD, good thing I don't even need to present a case as to why! I just want it so I am going to get it and anyone who is against it is anti-pony and should feel ashamed!

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1355658#Comment_1355658

Actually, the devs gave you their argumentation on why they (now) want to add LGBT+ stuff. They want it in their Videogame and just looking at the twitter responses from them to hateful/anti-LGBT comments: they don’t care if those people will stop supporting them, quite the opposite.

you may state your concerns, but really your argumentation is thin and nothing really speaks against inclusion other than „i don’t want it in my game“. The devs always had included LGBT into this game, they were just not confirming which char etc. This will now change. To what degree we just don’t know yet.

edit: another personal argument: the lore will be more believable and will not feel forced anymore with only straight relationships being mentioned.

I find it absolutely hilarious that you would call my argument thin, when I present a full case and all I ask in return is for any of you in favor of LGBT characters in DBD is just to tell why you feel the need to have them in the game, to which you constantly dodge having to answer. Probably because you really don't have a good argument to it, you just want to play victim.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1355456#Comment_1355456

I played ME:A and saw nothing of "my" ideology (funny that you know nothing about my ideology, but you ascribed an ideology to LGBT and because I'm LGBT, I must automatically adopt that ideology as well). Hell, the only reference I saw to LGBT was the fact that you could bone any one of your teammates (which you've been able to do since ME 2, I believe). I was more concerned about the egregious graphical problems like the absolutely haunting expressions.

I think that people are against LGBT because they had no problem with sexuality being in the game until it might include LGBT, yes. I don't think that's unreasonable. Say I gave you two identical desserts, except one was made with dark chocolate and another with white chocolate. If you didn't like one of them, am I supposed to assume it's because of every ingredient that they share, or the one ingredient that makes them different?

I don't feel the need that DbD should have LGBT stuff in it. It's gonna be put in the lore, which almost nobody even reads. On the other hand, since it can make some people feel more welcome and won't affect the gameplay, I see no reason to oppose this.

I'd like to conclude by paraphrasing what someone else said in another comment (not sure which thread): it's baffling that straight people can just be added to a game with no problem, but LGBT people require a reason for existing in that same game or else it's something that should be opposed.

Your mass effect Andromeda comment did not bring forth the fact how the team behind the game was influenced by LGBT movement inside the studio which led to gigantic conflict within the staff that scared the development of the ME:A and eventually threw the entire production to a whole new direction that ended up taking focus more on the characters' sexuality than the overall gameplay and romance. Anyone who played the game can see that in every opportunity possible the game wanted to shove down your throat that a character was this and that sexually, something that was not present in any of the earlier titles. Of course Mass Effect is about romance and relationships between straights and gays, etc, but Mass Effect Andromeda clearly had an agenda to push and it shows strong. It was less about gameplay and more about "Look at this LGBT character, look how strong and independent he/she is! He doesn't need your approval!" Never before have I cringed during a video game than I did with when playing Andromeda, and Mass effect just so happens to be my most favorite game of all time. But let's jump out of Mass Effect and focus on DBD.

Again, I asked you to provide a valid argument on as to why we need sexuality or LGBT presented in DBD, to which you answered that we have a problem with the LGBT stuff now that it was brought up. No shieeeet sherlock? What? We are not allowed to raise our concern when something is brought up? We should just be quiet and accept it or else we come out as anti-LGBT? No, again, I am in favor of LGBT as long as they stay away from video games where sexuality is not one of the game's elements. If the devs want to push that stuff in the character background lore, I don't mind, but once they start to shove it down my throat via in-game characters, cosmetics and whatnot, then I have an issue with it <- It's a movement. If you want to raise awareness of LGBT, then do it elsewhere outside video games, or better yet, make your own video game where you can do that stuff as much as your heart desires. Heck, there already are people doing that, the difference between them and you is that they know how to use right channels to raise awareness. And don't try to say in your next reply that you are not trying to raise awareness, you already made that statement in your earlier comment so we know damn well what this is really about.

"I don't feel the need that DBD should have LGBT stuff in it" - Case closed then? Why are we having this conversation if you don't feel the need to have LGBT stuff in the game. If you continue this discussion in favor of having LGBT stuff in DBD, then clearly you do feel the need for it. Having read all of your earlier comments, I have the impression that you like to speak to people like starting fresh, like they had not read anything you wrote before that clearly contradicts your new statements. First you said you want to raise awareness with the LGBT, then you suddenly switched that and said you don't want to raise awareness. This whole time you have been speaking in favor of LGBT in DBD, now you suddenly say that you don't feel the need for that to be in the game. How about you make your mind and stick with it or else your little story falls like a house of cards.

People don't need to feel more welcome to video games by having LGBT characters in them. If they seek approval that way, then clearly they don't get video games in the first place. You paraphrased someone about how LGBT characters always require some kind of explanation as to why they should be added to a game where as straights have a green card with no issue. Well let me tell you something about why that is. It's because devs don't care about this stuff when they create characters for their video games. They don't make a character and think "Oh yeah, this guy's totally straight, let's go with that" - They just make a character, period. If you think that when a game has a straight character that is pretty much the base of all characters in video games and you automatically assume that the devs used braincells to come up with the character being straight, you are clearly in my eyes one of those people who like to wake up in the morning and look at a list that reads "How can I feel victimized today".

Stop thinking that this is a war against LGBT and start presenting valid arguments as to why you feel that DBD and its playerbase would benefit from having LGBT characters. Forget that straights even exist, just try to sell your idea rather than take a defence, and see if the devs like it well enough to implement it to the game.

So now it's bad if they change their minds based on community requests?

"What it does to video games" is put a certain group on the defense. The outrage and backlash comes from that group and those who are swayed by them. It does nothing to affect the quality of video games.

If LGBT relationships had been treated just like heterosexual relationships were, most of the threads on the subject wouldn't be here, because nobody gives a #########. There'd be mentions in the lore (that these same people claim not to read or care about) and that'd have been it.

Community request is exactly my entire point I have been making here (though you don't seem to read anything I have wrote?) I have said it multiple times, if the devs feel the desire to make LGBT characters in DBD, they would do that without anyone asking them to. DBD, again, is not a sexual game where we need LGBT or even straight characters, we don't need to know the sexual orientation of the characters here. Asking for such is nothing but pushing on agenda that has no place in DBD. You, just like everyone else in favor of LGBT, has failed to represent a valid argument as to why there needs to be LGBT characters in the game. All that you guys can say is that it's what you want. Heck, I want to ride a pony in DBD, but it has nothing to do with the game so why would the devs go out of their way to add it just for me and few of those within the entire community who want to ride a pony in the game.

"It does nothing to affect the quality of video games" - Tell that to Mass effect Andromeda and Overwatch, and the rest of all the amazing games that were heavily influenced by your ideology. There's entire documentaries made out of these games where people explain in great detail how the LGBT community went their way to change these games and how they affected the quality of them negatively, taking away from the majority while pandering to minority. Some of my favorite games have been ruined due to this LGBT stuff, so excuse me if I don't find this something I want to support. Again, I have nothing against LGBT in general, just when it's pushed on video games that have nothing to do with sexuality.

You think that people are against LGBT simply because they don't want that in DBD, but what you fail to understand is exactly the reason why they don't want it. There have been multiple comments stating "DBD is not a sexual game, so why do we need stuff like LGBT in it". To which you and everyone else in favor of this can only reply to as "You hate LGBT, why are you against it! There are straight characters in the lore so why not LGBT characters, bla bla bla"...

For the sake of this argument having any value to continue, PLEASE, explain to me why do you feel the need that DBD should have LGBT stuff in it. Do that and we have a real conversation worth to discuss.

Oh really? How's that? Do you think I actually give a damn if a character in this game is gay or lesbian or whatever? If so you're even more disappointing as a dialogue partner than I thought. Keep jumping at shadows of bigotry. Bigots don't engage on forums like these, and they sure as hell don't try to reason with their opponent. Get a clue.

This is exactly my point with stuff like this. Real gamers don't care about if their characters are straight, gay, lesbian, or whatever. Pushing that kind of thing is exactly what makes people on defence nowadays because we have seen what it does to video games. Devs are put on a leash by the most loudest minority group to push their agenda, not for the sake of enjoying the game more, but just simply to get what they want, to remind them that yes, they can change and control video games and make devs bend to their wishes and demands.

if devs really wanted to offer LGBT stuff out of their own desire, they would do that without having to hear the community ask for it. Now, if this was an adult game or a romance story, etc, then obviously the devs would have a good reason to make LGBT characters to reach a wider audience, but again, I remind you, DBD is not a game about sexuality, so why is this so important to some people to have such characters in the game?

Neither do straights, yet here we are. Funny how the Nurse having a husband wasn't an issue all those years ago.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1355257#Comment_1355257

They already mentioned sexuality. That ship sailed long ago.

This is the same situation when that one guy asked from the Gears 5 devs if the female protagonist of the story is lesbian. WHAT. DOES. THAT. HAVE. TO. DO. WITH. THE. GAME. There are games for the LGBT audience if they are looking to enjoy stuff like that. Having straight characters in a video game does not obligate the devs to equalize the ground by offering LGBT characters, they offer and make them if that's something they want to do out of their own decision.

  • All I ever think about when fleeing from a killer is how big of Meg's dingdong is or if Dwight's marriage with his homosexual partner is doing well at home outside the realm of the entity - that's where the real gameplay is at, please make this number one priority! We need LGBT to video games where they don't belong and have zero logic to exist!

  • Pyramid head has the best chase music by far in my opinion, but I do find Oni's chase music intimidating.

  • Green keys feel super useless and just a way to fool the killer to think you carry real key.

  • The whole mori offering in DBD has always been and still continues to be one of the game's most annoying elements. It has no real reason to exist and adds nothing to the game other than giving killers a free victory every single game, minus the last survivor depending if they get the hatch. Why not just make Mori so that you can mori ppl on their last hook or just give all the killers Mori as passive so that they can mori the last survivor as a reward for 4k.

  • AS SURVIVOR GOING UP AGAINST THE KILLER:

Huntress is annoying because of the constant none directional humming that you get to listen 90% of the time for the entire game no matter the map size. Also her super unfair 1 shot hatchet (No I don't give a damn about the fact that she can only carry one or two of those). Also her hatchet hitbox is and always has been broken.

Leatherface becasue this killer, though fun to play as, is built in a way that no one wants to go for end game rescues because the killer can just easily face camp and kill anyone for free who tries to rescue even if your entire team comes for the rescue at the same time it's impossible if the killer has decided to play dirty, which many bubbas like to do.

Nurse because this killer does not respect any windows, pallets, walls, or anything. Going against her is all about whether the player playing as nurse is a beginner or pro, in which case if he is a pro player, you almost might as well not try.

  • I have had rarely a bug where the entire HUD disappears, no skillchecks, no information on anything, true hardcore mode like Boss said. You can't literally do anything for the entire game. Try to fix gens, good luck with that. Try to heal a teammate or yourself, you are going to scream one or twice at least. All you can do is just try to spend most of your time being chased so your team can do their thing.

    • Pennywise
    • Pyramid head
    • CandyMan
    • Chucky
    • Alien
    • Ring girl (Sadako)
    • Grudge girl (Kayako)

I could keep listing killers all day and any single one of them would make a fine killer. But if I could see Sadako or Kayako in DBD, I would not ask for anything else from this entire world xd

  • Weird, I play all kinds of killers and I must say, it's not walk in a park for me even when I am rank 1 and get often matched against low rank players. Sure, it's not the greatest challenge I could ask for, but certainly it is not as easy as you make it sound. Doctor doesn't blast the entire map exposing everyone, I often have to find my prey just like every other killer, if that's a point you are trying to make with him.
