God that seems like such a hassle. I guess I can start doing that too. Only reason why I even thought of making this post is because I just saw this hacker yesterday and reported them about a week ago. So its very disheartening to think that going through the reporting process results in nothing happening.

Well, I guess I don’t share the attitude in this thread. Confirming the accounts get banned justifies the effort I put in (it’s really not much). Players just complain on here with no basis and say the system (that I know works) does not work in order to either:

    1. Demotivate other players from reporting. If so, you’re a bad person in my view, or
    2. Get players banned without evidence. If so, you’re a bad person in my view, or
    3. You don’t know what you’re talking about. If so, you can look up how to report players.

Where do you think you fall from one to three?

How do you know? do you keep tabs on them? I hoped and assumed they actually did something with the reports until i saw the same hackers

Yes, I can keep up with their profiles and check back in to confirmed the accounts been banned.

  • All of my killer builds are variations of:

    1. BBQ
    2. STBFL
    3. Ruin
    4. Pain Resonance

Points, fast attacks equal fast downs, mixed with passive slowdown.

Hillbilly brings Enduring instead of STBFL. Slinger bring M&A instead of Ruin. It has small variations killer to killer.

I've made at least 15-20 support tickets with proper proof of hacking. None of which are responded to. Now I'm running into the same hackers I've already reported. Some sort of response to let players know that something is being done would be appreciated. With no answer I'm done buying anything from this company as it is obvious by now that they dont care. Which will inevitably lead to me just not playing anymore. Which sucks but at this point its just the principle of it all.

Weird cause my reports are banned in a couple of days. Im probably not the only one reporting though.

  • What are we calling Mid Patches then? Are these not changes to the game health?

  • BBQ, STBFL, Call of Brine, SH:PR

  • If Artist won games people would player her. #BufftheMama

  • I was able to complete mine pretty quickly. Just by playing Onryo. Steam if that matters. And check the bug reports section.

    Hush.

    Freddy was here first.

    Sadako is not even close.

I'm sorry #4 but I can't serve two queens. Join us. Accept Onryo. We all float down here.

Got something that might interest ya, read carefully:

Pull survivors into the Dream World

-Survivors who are awake do not see The Nightmare.

-Once targeted by The Nightmare’s power, survivors enter the Dream Transition for 7 seconds.

-The Nightmare’s Movement Speed Penalty for putting a survivor into the Dream Transition lasts for 1 second.

-During the Dream Transition Survivors can see The Nightmare intermittently and they suffer from the Incapacitated status effect.

-When the Dream Transition Lapse, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.

    Once in the Dream World:

-Survivor’s auras are revealed to The Nightmare when they are outside of his terror radius.

-Survivors suffer an action speed penalty of 40%.

-To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action.

-Failed Skill Checks can also wake up.

    -Hooked Survivors wake up.

    Special Ability: Dream Projection

-Teleport to a Generator in view. Releasing the button early will cancel the action.

-Survivors cannot interact with the targeted Generator.

“You have nothing to worry about. This won’t hurt one… little… bit.” -Freddy Krueger

I don't know man. We already have Sadako. This is just Sadako v2.

A healthy survivor won't get downed, he'll get a comfy speed boost lol

If a survivor is healthy then there is no reason why he shouldn't unhook right at the killer's face. It's a solved situation and bad design since there is no dillemma. It's the threat of a grab that makes the survivor think twice before doing that. And they can still go for the unhook anyway because the grab mechanics is so janky, plus the animation spam to throw the killer off and landing a hit instead of a grab.

Not if they use that speed boost to get the unhook. It’s only two seconds and the unhook animation gets reset by hits.

Was this posted to the wrong thread?

    @danielmaster87 said:

Why should I let survivors have a free escape through hatch when the 4k was basically mine anyway?

You shouldn’t ‘let them’ have free escapes.

I’ll often not slug for the 4k or delay end game scenarios to not draw out the game too long. If that’s what you’re talking about. Cause I’m impatient. Especially in massively one sided matches.

  • @CK99 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2855136#Comment_2855136

Because without the threat of a grab there is zero deterrent for a healthy survivor with BT not to unhook in the killer's face.

The deterrent is getting downed. Not every survivor is willing to do that, especially not in every situation. And the unhooked survivor could be downed again as well.

    Zero deterrent is balogna.

Also killers might be more willing to chase survivors without the hook grab mechanic. Isn’t that what makes the game fun? Chases?

I have gone against survivors who go for a unhook mid chase and had teammates who go for unhooks while being chased by the killer you shouldn't be unhooking unless you know your guaranteed a unhook ESPECIALLY if you don't have bt

It's not the killers fault you should bait out a swing if you want to go for a risky unhook again don't expect free unhooks it's annoying on both sides of the playerbase

Also it's not a free kill you can do many things to get the unhook off

Nothing wrong with your first two paragraphs. In most circumstances Survivors shouldn’t bring the killer to the hook while being chased. I am not saying killers are at fault for anything; I am saying a base mechanic in the game is bad. I still get hook grabs. This is not a player ethics issue or something.

The third paragraph, the killer gets an instadown at a hook where someone else is being sacrificed. It’s a base mechanic that gives all killers the equivalent to a chainsaw hit. That’s why its a ‘but but muh fwee keel.’

What’s wrong with downing survivors with attacks and killer powers?

  • His snare and pallet nerfs were too far. They should’ve stopped at removing the slowdown addons and the Borrowed Time changes.

Slowing to survivor speed (-15%) so the survivor will get hindered (-5%) is pure time wasting. Revert plz when?

  • People who talk like this are acting like ‘entitled’ killers. I did not say, unhook without repercussions. I did not say, killers have to walk away from hooks.

I said the grabbing healthy survivors is a bad mechanic. You must be really dependent on it, huh?

‘But my free kill.’ Weak stuff in this kind of thinking. See how it cuts both ways?

    1) The game needs to rid itself of this ridiculous notion that the Survivors can decide to "work together, or not"..... that nonsense promotes toxic gameplay. This game DEPENDS on the Survivors working together to escape the horror of a serial killer chasing them. We need to promote UNITY among Survivors, TEAMWORK gameplay... which will create a more action oriented environment (survivors being expected to take protection hits, sacrificing yourself if you haven't been hooked yet, etc...) This will open up a lot of possibilities in regards to new features. We could add new items for the Survivors if they work together, etc. For example, quickly off the top of my head. A new item : Chain Trap. A survivor could equip this item or perk, and be given -1- chain, where they can attach it to the ground in one spot, and then crouch 5~ tiles away while holding the chain to create tension. If the Killer walks over the chain trap while the Survivor has the trap activated, the Killer is stunned and the chain breaks. It could be a way for one Survivor teammate to help another teammate who may be being tunneled, or is on death hook, etc. That's just 30 seconds of thinking, I'm sure paid salary employees can come up with cool new items when the game takes a new direction of promoting FOUR SURVIVORS WORKING TOGETHER to survive the killing field. I am fed up with EVERY SINGLE GAME comes down to 2 final survivors, and then turning into "hide until the other survivor dies first" to take your chances with the hatch.

    2) The different statistics should NOT be capped. In fact, none of the stats should be capped. Why is Boldness capped at 8,000 points? This makes no sense. If someone spends all game being tunneled, and running, you cap their points at 8,000? And through no fault of their own, they COULD have had maybe, 16,000 points worth of Boldness. You can't say "Go do a gen" when the killer is choosing to tunnel/chase you. If someone wants to run a Survivor Generator build, and they do 4 gens for the team, why should they only get credit for 8,000 worth of it. Again, this limits playstyles and unfairly robs players of their achievements if they do too much of one thing. The entire points screen needs an overhaul too. On one screen you call an emblem "Lightbringer" and then on another, the same category is called something else.

    3) The AFK timer to spawn crows should pause when Survivor enters Killer terror radius. This is specifically to give Survivors more of a chance to do Generators when only one or two survivors are left. A Survivor can try a Generator, sees the Killer coming and runs in a Locker or crouches behind a rock, the Killer comes, and now knows the Survivor is nearby.... so Killer starts to patrol the area looking.... and Survivor has NO CHOICE but to stay still. Except.. AFK Crow triggers because Killer camped the area looking for the Survivor. This is stupid. Right now, Survivors simply give up and wait for the other one to die and then look for hatch. What We want, is to encourage pro-active playstyle from Survivors. More tense cat and mouse situations.

    4) Saboteur perk should not trigger a cooldown just for attempting it.  The cooldown should only trigger for a successful Sabotage. This opens up some more action oriented feedback between Survivor / Killer, where the Survivor can attempt to Sabotage and bait a swing and miss from Killer. Also opens up more risky behavior for Survivor to attempt to Sabotage. As it is now, simply ATTEMPTING to Sab and cancelling, triggers the long cooldown.

    5) I will repeat for the 1,000th time. Nurse design is toxic anti-fun. The Doctor is also toxic anti-fun. And so is Leatherface. Those are the only 3 Killers in DBD that I see that need to be reworked. Nurse, because she breaks "The Chase" portion of DBD, by teleporting through pallets and walls. Doctor because he breaks "The Patrol" portion of DBD, by doing his AoE and easy finding everyone. And Bubba. His kit is too damn strong and needs changes, it's his kit that allows him to facecamp.

I could go on. This game desperately needs attention from people who will consider "FUN FACTOR" (for both sides) when designing everything.

    1. No
    2. No
    3. No
    4. Maybe
    5. No lol

I don’t imagine OP is going to get a lot of support here.

  • I’d like to think it’s a video infection thing. Players who got the tape infect other players.

No one knows how it happens. It just does.

  • Nothing toxic, but I do think grabbing healthy survivors at hooks is a bad game mechanic and should go.

  • She's fine in my opinion. She's the most spooky killer in the game. Bar none.

It’s not about fun it’s about sending a message

‘Tell your developers they work for me now.’

  • I was going to answer your question. But then saw your name.

  • On my Prestige 3 grind I got Tier 3: BBQ, NWO, H:R, Undying, Pain Resonance, and all her base perks. By lvl 50.

Its just luck. Btw I have all killers teachables unlocked.

  • I don’t really buy this kind of thinking anymore. Just seems more like our boys had too much soy.

  • I miss Haddonfield. It was living off of a reputation it no longer earned. I grinned everytime survivors brought me there because it was simply not that good anymore.

OP - We believe Haddonfield is getting reworked at the moment. It’ll probably be ready for the Mid Patch coming up in April.

  • I think it’s great on a few select killers. Nemesis, the good skill checks call zombies over.

Sadako and Freddy can teleport back. Demo, too.

It gets a lot harder to consider using it in 110 killers or 115 M1s like Clown. So I say, yes, meta, but a little more niche in my book.

  • @some_guy1 said:

as i said on the other post with the same topic

take deathslinger's gun as an example, it can shoot which can injure a survivor which means it's counted as a special attack which then consumes the play with your food token

victor is chartlotte's power, she can unbind him to control him and be able to preform a pounce which is considered a special attack

I agree. The logical answer is to not use PWFY on Twins. It’s just not good on some killers: Cannibal, Trickster, now Twins.

  • I would prefer a toggle for chat filter as well.

They do have some logical filters though. It most definitely prevents people from sharing personal information and social media information. When you extrapolate that into what it’s preventing, I’m okay with it.

But then it prevents crude banter that I don’t mind including. Like let them say the nasty thing to me. BUT. It also makes non-crude statements seemingly read as cussing someone out because all we see are poorly placed hashtags.

I mean the bigger problems idk its complicated I dont really know how to word it.

Rereading your first post, the killswitch was added during a mid patch as well. We used to have to just keep playing with broken perks and addons for long stretches. When I first started there was an ‘infinite mending’ Legion exploit. I wished there was a killswitch back then.

Everyone can get behind a ‘healthier’ game. That’s why streamers have ‘empty’ suggestions like that. Ra-ra. But to say BHVR is not working on health year round, which they clearly are, is disingenuous in my view.

Maybe when you see an issue in health, make specific posts about it so it can be addressed.

  • They pretty much do health chapters twice a year during mid patches. The other two are content based. For instance the last two health patches brought: new HUDs, new character models, new animations, new generators, massive overhauls (like Nurse). I believe Trickster got overhauled as well (don’t want to check before finishing this post). Twins were fixed; I never see those old bugs anymore.

The ‘content’ mid patches (like the upcoming one I’m expecting) reworked three to four killers each. In the last year we had massive updates to: Demogorgon, Freddy, Huntress, Trapper, Plague, Deathslinger, and Spirit.

We are receiving what OP is asking for. Four times a year.

  • I just figured this would be one of those achievements that naturally gets completed.

  • It’s not looking at them while they revv. Like above, same thing happens with Huntress and is quite the scare when you get hit.

  • Yeah, they really can’t win. They have more players then a year ago. Consistently.

They suffered for not doing enough events. They wanted to only focus on the Anniversary and Halloween. Backlash.

Theyve done the complete opposite this year. A mini-Tome during Halloween. Snowmen event with cosmetics. Envelope event with cosmetics. A Christmas advent calendar.

    Amazon Prime give aways.

We get another smaller giveaway that matches the theme of the new chapter. And thoughtless people like OP say thoughtless things like this thread. Empty minded.

BHVR did something cool and people think drivel like this.

  • She’s significantly darker than the base colors. Congrats on the prestige, OP.

  • The next Mid Patch PTB should be coming up pretty soon. They seem to do much more content based patches in April and October.

  • As much as I love tier lists, no killer is actually lower than B tier in viability. The weaker killers are only comparatively weaker and can absolutely win trials.

Theres also a thrill in winning a trial with a ‘weak’ killer. Like people think you can’t win with Hillbilly. Ta-da.

  • Was hoping to get a heads start on the next Grade Reset today.

  • The holiday is tomorrow? Commencement Day?

  • Wonder if it had to do with February being a short month?

If it was shifted by Daylight Savings, it would've been 48 minutes ago. The normal time is 10AM CST / 11AM EST.

Not 💯 sure here. Guess we will find out soon. If it does not happen in five minutes, then they messed it up.

  • I think it’s going to reset in about fourteen minutes. It’s not bugged, just shifted by daylight savings.

  • Call of Brine is extra good on her too because she can teleport back to gens she had kicked. It’s pretty much just her and Nightmare.

  • I would say on average it’s about two a web. Yellows pop up pretty frequently. Purples I usually only get four-ish purples in a web and then there’s four addons and three offerings that can spawn. So 1/7 with four chances, they aren’t consistent at all.

  • I think healthy survivors should not get grabbed at hooks.

  • BBQ, STBFL, Pain Resonance, Ruin.

Straight up, this is my universal killer build and it’s effective on her, too.

  • I prefer the original. Pulling the tongue and mashing is a level of brutality that.. is.. just.. so opposite of wholeness. Negawholesome. Negasome.

  • I was trying to understand his YouTube video. It’s not that the distance that can be covered increases too much when charging a blink; it’s that she moves too quickly when actually blinking making it too difficult to react to.

  • Nah lol. Adjust your computer settings to ‘remove the black bars.’
