  • I see what you are saying.

    But.

I still prefer perks that’d help me win during ninety percent of the match then a perk that’ll maybe help me at the end of a match. If I’m being rolled. If they aren’t dead before the fifth gen, anyways.

  • I think she has one too many forms of counterplay. I think I mostly wish her crow bombs were re-initiated.

An unintended consequent of that nerf is shown with the addon Ink Egg, a very rare. I think it was intended to be the ultimate crow bomb addon, which would have earned its Very Rare color. Without crow bombs, this addon does not appear to be effective in any form.

She also can have her birds removed through lockers, burned by flashlights, and (since the nerf) ran through by survivors who want to prevent their teammates from being hit by a bird. These kinds of counterplay are very common and my ask is to either have one of these removed (crow bombs for the nth time) or have her cooldown reduced slightly to compensate for missed opportunities.

  • Artist overrated. Deathslinger underrated.

    Doctor overrated.

I do have qualms with Clown being ‘near useless.’ Trapper is pain though.

  • Games like this seem more like smurfing than great feats.

  • The two pallets I’m thinking about are one downstairs and one upstairs near an entrance. Are we saying there are two pallets downstairs?

That would be excessive. The OP picture is very dark.

  • Two pallets. I saw one outside as well. But ZERO windows. That’s all anyone could ask for.

  • I’ve been thinking about her a lot lately.

I think she needs her counterplay brought down a bit. Her two and three shot birds take too long to recover and I think the crow bombs were a good part of her kit that they nerfed away. Crow bombs being nerfed away may have been directly correlated with the Ink Egg Very Rare add on being basically useless.

Artist Counterplay: lockers take away ranged snipes, crows can be burned by flashlights, and birds can be removed by running through them. She also slows down while placing birds making shift W more viable.

I do not think all of these counterplays need to be addressed but if one or two of these were toned down, she might not feel so aggravating to play as.

She might also benefit from a way to auto shoot a bird as instantaneously as possible. Similar to the Plague buff from Sept but toggled by the killer who prefers single bird shooting.

  • There’s actually a forum for this! I don’t want to seem dismissive because it’s an interesting topic but I have no idea the answers. People in the Lore Discussion forum may though.

  • I’m looking forward to the changes. They are smallish in design. I agree. They also look really clever cause buffing Ghostface was a real conundrum and they found a way. Looking forward to it.

  • This is an old unfixed bug. If you, as survivor, are not looking at the Cannibal as he charges the saw, it is silent. Same with Huntress hatchets. She makes no noise unless she’s in view mid chase.

It is an acknowledged bug. For now I recommend looking back while running.

  • Artist should not have been nerfed from the PTB. Crow bombs should have remained in her kit to dissuade running through the birds.

  • I can’t wait for the devs to read this one. Theyre definitely gonna have a moment like:

  • Just do bones.

    Oh wait, wrong thread.

  • Ah, the great debate. I'm a cleanser myself.

  • Thoughtful post, OP. The vault speed idea is the only one that seems consistent with what the boon is meant to be and how the other secondary effects work. Thanks for pointing that out.

  • I believe it’s 24 seconds with this nerf.

Healing a survivor base is 16s. Healing yourself comes at a 200% penalty (32s). All adjustments are calculated additively.

    I believe the math is:

    16s x (200% - COH%)

    Therefore:

    16s x 200% - 50% = 24s

    --

Mangled changes the 16s base into 20s base. The rest of the math stays consistent.

  • @Hoodied said:

They also have to worry about selfcare too as now selfcare is better than COH if you don't have the totem pre-blessed if you use it for self healing, according to another thread CoH's new selfheal speed is ~21 seconds, now if the totem isn't set up and you want to bless a totem now you have to worry about if the totem you bless is a hex or not and how long it took you to even find the totem in the first place, for me to go further, it takes 14 seconds to bless a dull and 28 to bless a hex, meaning by the time you can actually selfheal with this perk you could get way beyond 50% on a gen, as it'll take ~35 and ~49 if you are right on top on a totem when doing it, but when looking for a totem thats a whole nother story, I haven't even brought up the "if this happens"" statement of if you actually face someone using thrill of the hunt. So now you either have to preset the totem and hope it isn't stomped out, which will probably only happen on indoor maps or you have to only have someone else heal you instead, and if you use self care in comparison you can just heal whenever and it only takes 32 seconds and depends on when you chose to heal, and it gives you a permanent efficiency boost on med kits without the need of being in an AoE

Personally I do agree with the fast healing speed problem and would love to see a cooldown to it, but I feel like CoH is just a poorly designed perk and all the boons should be looked at with it, as we have a few boons that are too situational to be good, and others are CoH

It’s still better than self care by fifty percent. COH self care should now be 24s, up from 20s with the previous nerf.

I personally don't think a mechanic where the killer has no real counterplay is healthy for the game and any good boon will just end up getting nerfed to uselessness because it's an infinite resource.

I would much rather see the totem get destroyed when snuffed but be stronger.

Snuffing the totem means survivors have to spend time replacing the boon. It also removes DS and they have travel time too.

  • I see. The crusade does not end until boons are deleted.

I think boons were fine for everything but COH. That’s why COH is being addressed and not the boon mechanic itself.

    Therefore:

    16s x 200% - 50% = 24s

This is the nerf I was crossing my fingers for. Combined with the Hemmorhage changes, killers might be able to cause some havoc on healing now.

I mean, can Deathslinger preassure Generators across the whole map? I don't think so.

If by pressure gens you mean maybe hit a survivor followed by them jumping in and out of a locker, then no he can't. But he can win a chase in considerably less time than Artist can.

Then clearly you must just be having the worst time ever as artist lmao idk how you can be doing so bad with her, it sounds like you had some awful games and thought, "boy the forums gotta hear about this one". Her being 115 alone makes her higher than deathslinger, trickster, and huntress and it means you are limited by maps or bad rng and can still resort to being a m1 killer when needed.

It isn't just knowledge she gets either, she can most certainly be a threat as well from anywhere on the map, and again, if you are doing that bad in chase as a killer who has that strong of a chase power, it is a skill issue from your part. If you are walking up to loops and trying to set all 3 crows up, then you are playing her wrong. Her kit is based around putting survivors into lose/lose situations and if you aren't reading those situations then it is on you. There isn't a single tile or set up she can't at least make survivors leave instantly lol

Do you not think it is weird you think she is somehow worse than TRICKSTER while others put her close to S tier? Nah she is just bad and you are the best at this game, you could never make mistakes.

Her being 115 helps her cope with having to M1 all the survivors. The 110s mentioned (Nerfslinger, Huntress) can reliably win chases with their powers.

My objections to her kit are written out. I am not hiding it. My objections laid out in this thread are precisely because people are overrating her kit and it should be rethought.

One of the points in the above quote is she's a threat from anywheres. But she cannot actually cross map because lockers are one of many counters to her power. They instantly remove the birds making it impossible to land a second one in time. It barely slows down survivor objectives.

Artist was released in a nerfed state, which was absolutely unnecessary but to be expected due to all of the survivors complaining on the ptb. She didn't deserve those nerfs.

Onryo was even buffed upon release but she is so bad that they would need to crank up her numbers severely to make her a threat. The directional teleport audio is a joke honestly, condemned isn't even remotely dangerous or a time waster like pig traps and I still don't get why they felt the need to make her slow down upon manifesting. Unlike wraith she: isn't faster while demanifested, isn't fully invisible and doesn't get a lunge buff upon manifesting, so why slow her down?

Edit. Forgot to mention they even gave her a lullaby for some inexplicable reason. I guess she would have been too op otherwise.

That's true. They did nerf her kit. She did seem like she was going to be good. One might even say potentially A-Tier. And then they put her nerfed form into the queues and voila! She's not. Even just the crow bombs being reimplemented might make a difference to survivors interfering with her power. Cause currently when they do the Artist eats all the downsides and the survivors are unscathed.

Except they aren't lol not every killer needs to be heavily chase oriented. The chase isn't even the most key aspect of the game, pressure and the macro play is the most important part. Now that isn't to say chase is unimportant as the best killers in the game have good chase AND map pressure, but to just say "well killer doesn't make chase easier so they bad" is not a factual statement. It is why almost all purely chase-based killers are hardstuck in B or lower tier with about Pyramid head being the only exception since he can (through his second chance denial) provide a lot of pressure.

Also Artist easily has one of the best chases in the game out of the m2 killers lol you walk up to a loop, and now survivors have to choose between getting hit by a crow, or leaving and getting m1'd. Now if you STAY at a loop and try to play around it as artist and they leave, that is your problem for not just going for the m1 and going after them. Artist makes EVERY tile and loop an unsafe one, as well as her map knowledge.

Sadako is definitely different as she doesn't have ANY chase power, so if you are trying to use it as such, again, kind of a you problem lol her whole kit is about stealth and map pressure. She isn't wraith.

Now while technically you are right in that Sadako's power makes chases longer, you also fail to realize that her power isn't meant to be a chase tool. It would be like complaining that Pig's power makes chases longer by crouching and uncrouching. That is true in most situations but the truth is that her power isn't meant to be used in chase like a killler like Nemesis, clown, doctor, etc.

Winning chases is how killers counter the gen rush and apply pressure. If you cannot win a chase faster, you are low tier by default. It doesn't matter what information the killer has. Like I am already quite informed that survivors are doing gens. Artist cannot win chases faster because her power has far too many drawbacks, cooldowns, counterplays to actually handle survivor who've read her power. Her power becomes a detriment in too many situations, along with no payoff.

Players are saying she's S-Tier or 'high A-Tier', easily. Those slots are reserved exclusively for killers who win trials through chase, quicker than others. Spirit, Nurse, Blight, Twins. All of them win faster with their chase mixed with high mobility. Artist is in their class because she's informed? She's lower than Huntress and Deathslinger. I'm muddling whether she's lower than Trickster at the moment.

  • @Lochnload_exe said:

I mean yeah if you play them bad then sure lol "if i'm bad, the killer is also bad"

Your comments are bad. I've actually laid out her weaknesses. Empty words from loch here.

  • She has a ton of counterplay. This thread is ridiculous

    1. It probably should be on the fourth hit and Legions base speed increased to 5.4 m/s.
    2. Survivors being afraid to mend immediately is a good thing for Legions.
  • All you have to do for OP is explain the killers’ respective powers.

  • BBQ and WGLF. Basically unplayable without these.

  • The Mid Chapters now release the new Tomes. Assuming the three week delay between PTB and Midchapter, if it were to PTB this next week, that would put the Midchapter at two weeks after the current Tome ends. Any more than that extends out the Midchapter to three-fourcweeks after the current ends.

I am assuming the Developers Update issthis week.

  • I miss the single Huntress items from Tome 1. Yellow axe and red kitty mask. Also lost to switching from PS4 to Steam.

  • STBFL makes this a non issue

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Probably next week. PTB in 2 weeks probably. We had 2nd hot fix patch this week, that means usualy 2 weeks after the last hot fix patch comes PTB.

Because the weapon is animated and makes sound (the Drill is the weapon of this Outfit).

The body of that outfit is not animated. I’m just pointing out this isn’t the first outfit. It’s been like two years since that one came out.

  • Why does the black Pig outfit cost more?

  • My take away from threads like this is boons are not noob friendly.

  • Oni #1!

  • The Mikaila was right, that breaking bones removes boon options from your team. OP was clearly not on the same wave length so the anger is misplaced to some degree. But I would stand by her point to OP. Let your teammates boon.

Pentimento exists and OP would be a dream for many killers playing right now.

  • I’m not sure that she needs any further buffs. She’s very smooth to play. Her addons feel great across all rarities. And she’s spooky.

  • No one cares about teabagging when they’re winning.

I’d be fine with making it so that NWO is just disabled if the killer opens a gate.

Thats what I was thinking too.

  • This doesn’t happen in my games at all. May be a low mmr issue. These would be reportable offenses and that’s easy tape to collect if you’re inclined.

I just said in my last comment that im going to start following up my reporting with checking back on the accounts. It genuinely never occurred to me to check on previously reported cheaters. The only reason why I made this post was because I saw a hacker yesterday that I reported a week ago.

If anything you and a few others here just reassured me that it works. Which is kind of what I was looking for. Why so hostile?

I think these threads are getting old for me. I’m glad you came around. Happy hunting.

  • I dont feel there’s anything wrong with this tactic. The goalie end game build may be a problem though. Somethings going to get nerfed for that one.
