i used to have this bug around 2018 or whatever but now its everygame what do i do? he an come around a corner with a silent revving and then i hear his grunt / scream and sweep sounds

yea i did yesterday at night but didnt help
I noticed as well that sometimes his chainsaw does no sound.
Have you tried reinstalling?
This is an old unfixed bug. If you, as survivor, are not looking at the Cannibal as he charges the saw, it is silent. Same with Huntress hatchets. She makes no noise unless she’s in view mid chase.
It is an acknowledged bug. For now I recommend looking back while running.
This bug has been in the game forever now. The best thing you can do is look behind you if you're in a chase. If you hear his terror radius, look around to find him, even if you're hiding.
