New billy is soo bad. You can still curve but only dumb survivors fall for it. Old billy was much better. New billy is soo easy to block and bait. Hes actually better than bubba, but he requires addons to do so.

Yep. I loved playing as and playing against Billy.. just not the same anymore. All that truly needed to be removed was Insta-saw IMO.

He’s still alright but the changes were so unnecessary… makes me sad.

Untrue, some of us can't afford to buy leather face just for one perk and the stupid shrine system means it takes forever to come up,

It’s was a joke because of how common it is.. why not potentially get double blood points with aura reading as a bonus.. also it was in the shrine during the event while BHVR was literally giving out free shards..

  • If it doesn’t fit your build, play style, or you simply find another perk more fun then no. If you think you’ll find it useful then yes. Totally up to you:)

Thanks, however none of this helped answer my questions about HOW/WHAT I should be doing on my controller.

If a survivor is caught in an area where you can unload.. try aiming at the hamstrings and slightly move the right analog down to compensate. Similar to managing recoil in something like R6 Siege. If a survivor is moving left to right constantly you can try mirroring their movement by rotating left stick up and left to right in a semi-circle or down and left to right if you want back up smoothly while aiming. If this made sense the way I described it then you should have an easier time focusing on keeping you thumb on the right stick down a bit. To avoid recoil altogether then throw one knife at a time or a burst of 3 or so and reset yourself if you need to. Eventually you’ll get the feel for it and become more comfortable.

If this doesn’t help at all I apologize but hopefully it will.

You can also rebind R2 to R1 or vice versa if you’ve already changed the input. A swap like that can subconsciously make you hold the controller differently and possibly increase your control over your movements/inputs.. sometimes it does the opposite though.

I just don’t know if I have the patience practicing Trickster. But on the other hand I’m still weirdly compelled to try, and I want to know if other console players are doing ok with him.

It’s that damn recoil. Trying to compensate for that using the analogue sticks feels awful. I’m always, ALWAYS wasting more knives than I’m hitting. I might have used all 60 damn knives and STILL not even got someone into the dying state. And I’m on PS5 so I’m not fighting against performance issues, it’s just that damn recoil.

I can do Clown fine because I’m used to the arc and I can always judge exactly where I can land it.

Plague I don’t need to worry about accuracy at all, especially if it’s just the early stages where I only need to get every one infected. Someone successfully dodging VP? Fine, I’ll infect the vaults and pallets and force them to use one.

Twins? I go for stealth pounces at distance so I’m only worrying about a stationary target. If I’m against a team that’s always successfully dodging Victor, I switch it up and only use Victor as a sentry or a trap.

    I can’t do Deathslinger.

    I can’t do PoTD.

I most definitely can’t do Huntress, and is probably the killer I most dislike using.

No matter how I adjust the stick sensitivity, accurately aiming in this game is UGH 😑

Trickster looks fun to me. I’d LIKE to get better at him. But the actual play experience is awful for me. Trickster feels like one of the most difficult killers they’ve released so far. I know that it falls down to more time investment and practice, but I want to know if I’m just going to be wasting my time or not.

So... are there any somewhat competent Tricksters playing with a controller?

    What are your tips?

How do you deal with the horrible recoil?

I’ve come across near god-tier Huntresses, blights, very solid Tricksters etc so yes it’s possible to master any of the killers on console. I was lucky enough to once come across a legendary curve Hillbilly playing on console and it made my day.

Scuff controllers/modded controllers exist along with Cronus zen/max but I’ve never personally purchased and used them for any games so I have no idea if they would give console players an advantage in Dbd. Plus even if those things fly under the radar on tons of games… it’s still cheating and that’s honestly super lame.

So anyone who plays with a friend look at your ping and then ask your friend what your ping says, is there any reason into why my ping is different on my screen then their screen and vis-versa? And we live 15 mins away from each other. Kind of laughable am I missing something here. I mean correct me if I’m wrong but it should be the same number for the same player on each other’s screen…

I’m sure someone likely brought this up already but you can have low ping but experience packet loss. Packet loss can cause significant issues with latency and all that jazz..

The more sweaty PC killers in the event just brings me back to a question I have asked many times.

Imagine expecting a group of solos on consoles/switch to somehow give an experienced PC Nurse or Huntress an actual fight. This is just outright silly that crossplay doesn't allow for consoles to filter out PC while keeping the other consoles.

I already know the answer. Crossplay is FOR PC players. It's a "hey heres an easy mode for ya since we cant really fix balance problems" reward. I'd just like to see it officially acnknowledged. Seeing as how there is no logical reason for a filtering option to not exist. Well, the logic being they KNOW console players would not be playing with PC willingly therefore won't put in the option.

How many PC players opt out of crossplay? 0.00001 percent?

I don’t recommend turning crossplay off if you’re on console. As someone already stated, the Q times will be significantly longer. Often so long you’ll find yourself backing out to turn crossplay back on. Aside from that.. if you’re on Xbox for example you might actually be facing a PlayStation player but the icon might mislead you into thinking they’re a “sweaty” PC player. I could be mistaken though. I have Dbd on pc and PS5 but I almost exclusively play on my console but Xbox players along with any other cross-platform 100% shows the same icon as someone on PC. So unless I notice something like very high dpi for example, I actually have no way of knowing for sure if they were on PC or not.

I’ve faced a 4 man console squad that legitimately play as a tournament team. I don’t know why they were in pubs but my point is that it’s unfair to generalize a specific platform such as PC for being “sweaty”. Non-competitive, charity events etc.. as long as there are 2 separate participants that have objectives unique to to their side, there will always be people that want to dominate the interaction decisively.

  • Holy crap here I am looking in the fridge again even though I just checked what’s inside 5 minutes ago.. and 5 minutes before that.. for years... still just relish and mustard but I foolishly opened the door anyway..

Do I honestly have to say it? Do you truly not know the answer deep down in your heart?

NOED is fine.. if I was a mod I would literally block all posts regarding NOED… then unblock them so I could click on them again in 5 minutes out of my pure stupidity.

  • I don’t mind the Backwater realm for both sides in terms of gameplay but it’s super gloomy. I would love to see some new lighting FX or something but it is a swamp after all… not every map can look as pleasant as the new Coldwind❤️

  • Can’t we all just get along<3

  • If she gets cosmetics can all the survivors and killers at least get some earplug addons?

A friend and I have been slowly getting into Twins and I am curious on what kind of synergies Twins has. Getting to know them and play them is one thing. I wanna try some different strats and builds to get better with them.

Feel free to drop your build and clips here. Tips are always welcome.

Depending on the map I personally like walking towards an area survivors are likely to spawn or if I suspect there is a split where survivors might be near a gen towards the right of where I spawned but a high possibility of others being across the map I park Charlotte somewhat in between them and take Vikki to the furthest gens and flush them out, potentially towards Charlotte. If Vikki latches on to someone and I see more than one survivor close by I’ll pursue that area 100% otherwise I’ll check on the other gens.

Infectious fright is great to follow up with Vikki on screaming survivors if they happen to be close by.

This goes for killer or survivor

I always have the most fun when I could easily get players out of the game but show that I’m not going to so the game plays out as normal.. we go on more chases.. maybe mess around a bit near the end and we all leave happy.. assuming the survivors realize I’m not going to kill them but throughout the match the chases are legitimate.

not for everyone but I enjoy it.

  • @GuyFawx said:

I know we got a chart a lil bit ago showing the typical stats on top killers perks and stuff so i am just wondering if we at all know what the least used perks are

Is this including DLC or just original non teachables?

Without looking at official stats I would say..

    Least used Base Survivor perks:

    • This is not happening
    • one left behind Premonition gets a pass because newer players likely still run it early on (I definitely used to). I’ll guess I’ll give Déjà vu a pass for the same reason but you learn to look for the lights above gens on outdoor maps. I definitely see slippery meat, lightweight, small game even before a buff and counterforce being added would be seen more than “This is Not Happening”

    Teachables licensed and unlicensed:

    • Babysitter
    • Camaraderie (outside of comp where it may be beneficial)
    • Sole Survivor
    • Buckle up (but I meme combo it with For The People)

If we pretend adept and archives don’t exist then I think I’ve personally seen Boil Over used much more than Off the Record or Blood Pact. Pharmacy would be seen more if it wasn’t possible to hoard hundreds of medkits over time from the bloodweb. Aftercare has potential to become a meta perk for aura lovers in soloQ but it would need a buff/change.. like if the auras weren’t removed if you get hooked but hooked teammates aura is removed and you have to gain it back. The requirement could be made slightly more difficult like having to fully heal someone or be fully healed by them but that does defeat the intended purpose of the perk.. it’s technically IMO meant to be used mainly to gain each others aura after unhooking then the healthy survivor take aggro or whatever and you meet up later… butttttt this is rendered useless if you can’t break chase, get hooked, and lose the aura anyway.. at least that’s the gist.

I was fling to do killer as well but I’ve rambled far too long on something most people won’t read anyway lol.

He is if you don't know how to face him.

Precisely.. Wraiths can misplay and cloak at the wrong time which in turn gives you extra vaults so take advantage whenever that happens. You can even waste slightly more of the Wraiths time if they bait uncloaking in order to get a pallet drop.. in those situations don’t be afraid to vault back into the cloaked wraith because it will block his pallet break prompt and it’s literally impossible time-wise for him to uncloak and smack you before you’re able to vault back over to the other side again.

With basic looping stick to the long side so if they uncloak for the speed boost near the pallet for example you should be able to swing around safely assuming you didn’t misread the situation or they get you with a respectable mind game fakeout.

If you’re in areas with a strong window with a long wall and the wraith is breathing down your neck then feel free to get a free vault that won’t count towards an entity blocker (if you’re newer.. windows block after vaulting it 3 times during a chase but if it’s specifically the wraith, a chase is considered dropped/reset if they cloak and chases don’t officially begin if he’s cloaked. Just never allow yourself to get your vault prompt blocked if you already beat him to it.

this isn’t much but just a few little bits that might help some people out.

I like my hook to share a story..

I can’t wear survivor charms though. I’m oddly superstitious at times and consider wearing them bad luck lol.

  • I still clench my butt cheeks while being chased and don’t realize I was doing it until after😓😋

  • I see no harm in there being a chat for the 4 survivors so they have the option to join in or mute etc. Most people these days have mics but don’t use them to communicate anyway so a vast majority might just listen in at the very most. I mean it’s rare to come across a random in a game with accurate/useful call-outs to begin with so I don’t think it would be that big of a deal while playing killer when 4 randoms can chat but hypothetically 2 are muted and the other one is telling them “the killer is at the fire.. you know the fire barrel thingy” or “come heal me, I’m near the wooden box next to a tree” lol but having the option to chat in-game would be nice. I mean nothing is stopping 4 console players from starting a party chat or cross-platform players all joining a discord call. It would just be more accessible and convenient as an in-game feature.

It's clear people just had a bad sense of direction & if the map isn't a wide open field people claim its too complicated to navigate and/or loop. People forget that indoor maps are going to have entirely different structures & they did well crafting a map based entirely off a different game. I'm glad people can finally appreciate something different for once.

I’ve played it on live servers maybe like a dozen times by now and sure I get lost and all that but I honestly can’t say I hate it or anything like that. My opinion could change but I certainly don’t mind it so far. I struggled a bit with engraving Hillbilly but Trapper was quite nice. Balanced landing was a life saver more than once on that map as well.

I would like for you to know that absolutely nobody, and I do mean absolutely nobody, is a 100% waste of space. Including you. Just because you may not realise it, doesn't mean other people don't, and you are absolutely 100% worth it and valued so don't you dare spiral down that hole any further.

It's so hypocritical coming from me but keep fighting. You're so much stronger than you realise and you can 100% pull through anything. You've survived 100% of your worst days thusfar.

You are not a waste of space.

You’re an Angel. Thank you for brightening my day<3

  • Well… I defended the Spirit at least 2 times already in the past few weeks so what’s once more? Time to hate myself for sticking up for Rin again..

I’m not a fan of the Spirit nor do I main her but I’ve played as her and against her many times. It can feel like complete BS facing her sometimes but to stay on topic I wont tangent off on what killers have to deal with…

Anyway… for people that complain or demand nerfs for the Spirit…

Have you ever truly played her.. Mastered her.. Faced strong survivors, solo or groups? She does in fact require a brain and skill to succeed throughout a tough match.

    Ahh... I see.

    When you say

"So anything within a 64 meter range that the map you are using can track will be tracked."

Does that mean that if you are running Detective hunch with a map, the map can read out to a 64 meter radius??

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Also, does Rainbow Maps track everything? The Wiki states it starts the match with 3 random objects tracked, which leads to my confusion.

Regarding your question about the rainbow map starting with 3 objects tracked at the beginning of a trial.. the answer is yes, essentially any 3 things will be tracked… an exit gate lever, a totem on the other side of the world, a gen, chest etc. Then as long as you’ve been within 8m of an object/killer belonging you can leave it and reveal the aura again later. So if you’re on Lery’s and spot a lit totem that might be haunted grounds you can leave it if it ends up being devour or something else without having to worry about getting lost trying to find it again.

Its simple. Its fun to win. Why would people change out good perks for ######### perks. This goes both ways for killer and survivor. At leaves for killer there is some variation in meta perks as some perks are just better on certain killers but for survivor there is so little variation it kills me. BT, Dead hard, adrenalin, spine chill, or DS and thats it.

Yea like for me I absolutely hate slowdown perks like PGTW so I try to make up for it with something like STBFL. Gens can absolutely fly but I have more fun with infectious or a brutal strength/fire up combo for example. I accept that I’ll get slammed by efficient players but I typically enjoy the matches when I’m using mainly chase and tracking perks.

As a survivor I love going off-meta but always wind up circling back to strong builds since I’m solo and want to help my teammates by either either a support build or a selfish one that can help keep me alive longer . Feels bad when I go for autodidact builds but literally can’t get a skill check after 3 tokens. Or run a luck build and a random Insta-unhooks me.
