Don't really understand why bhvr hasn't tried this solution. Unless they have some data to indicate that more BP incentives don't work. It seems like it'd be a pretty simple solution to a couple problems right now.

1; The grind in this game is agonizing particularly for newer players

2; It would be nice to be able to complete all the surv archives within my lifetime.

Seriously go crazy. Give the underplayed side 100%, 200%, 300%, a new perk for free every game idc. BP is capped at 1mil so it's not like older players would save up some exorbitant amount of BP.

I do understand that bhvr may see this as a bandaid instead of a permanent solution and I guess it kind of is. Band-aids are meant to be removed when the wound heals though.

Killers do actually get slightly more BP than survivors overall. This is most noticeable in games you lose as killer vs. losing as survivor.

That said, honestly - just make BBQ and WGLF BP gains baseline for everyone.

BHVR actually claimed that they were going to eliminate perk tiers completely about a year ago. For some reason that never materialized.

id say it is barely at all different from ranks. i get newbies and full sweat squads all the same.

From my end - I'm seeing a difference.

Before, under ranks, maybe 2/3 of my games were against either smurfs or people with dozens of times my hours played. Now, it's usually at most double.

I'd say 3/5 of my games are now pretty high quality. I'll win some and lose some, but seldom do I feel like there was nothing I could do (barring the occasional SWF with a Badham/Haddonfield offering).

1/5 are against people way better than me the other 1/5 are against people I outclass. I think a lot of these are caused by lobby dodges.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/303852/is-anyone-else-just-mentally-drained-by-the-dbd-snd-community

Nah you're probably right. The community has gotten far more divided in the last year or 2 with the us vs them mentality between killer and survivor when both sides should want the other side to be just as fun to keep the whole playerbase healthy.

It starts and ends with the impression of BHVR as being 'survivor favored', which does set up an 'us vs them' issue. And I must say, while it's not as bad as it once was, I do think that there is at least a double standard in play.

When one 'side' of your game is making about 90% of the 'I'm frustrated, this role is too frustrating' posts on the forums, that definitely suggests that something is wrong.

  • @dspaceman20 said:

I don't know what it is but I just feel mentally drained just being apart of this community. Maybe I'm crazy but it seems like the community I'd just becoming more and more divided as the game progress and its just depressing and not too fun. Maybe I'm spending to much time on the forum and on dbd in general. Am I being ridiculous or are others feeling the same and is this a sign I need to take a break from dbd?

Yeah, I really enjoy the game but the forums can be...something.

That said, those patch notes may be some of the worst in recent memory. The Twins and Nemesis nerfs are patently ridiculous and demonstrate that BHVR are balancing their game in a pretty nearsighted, out of touch way.

  • @Pulsar said:

Boons just added something else for me to micro-manage as Killer and I'm just not into it.

I enjoy chasing people and mindgaming and strategically outplaying my opponents, not micro-managing 20 variables to have a chance to win.

    Yeah, pretty much this.

The major issue isn't even that I have to snuff the bloody things.

    It's that:

    • They can be relit.
    • They can be set up in certain positions where you lose more time snuffing it than they do (proportionally) relighting it, even if you know where the thing is.
    • COH is bonkers overtuned.

    @Laluzi said:

Survivors have way more perk slots to dedicate to managing totems than killers do. A survivor running an anti-totem perk dedicates 1/16 of the survivor team's resources to totem management. A killer running an anti-totem perk dedicates 1/4 of their resources to it. That's not a good equivalence when those perk slots were already highly needed for other things.

Add in that every single anti-boon perk is a hex and can be removed, while boons can only be removed by killing the survivor who has them, and yeah.

    This.

I know that CoH has artificially restricted my build choices as killer, simply because it exists - and that's not good.

    @Lochnload_exe said:

Just a thought I had, I still think CoH needs a healing boost nerf (more specifically healing in general needs a nerf and has for a while) but I really do not think boons in general are bad, in fact they are a healthy addition to the game. You only see CoH complained about. This doesn't make boons bad design, just means healing is busted (most good players know that anyways).

But also people act like they can't do anything against boons which just feels wrong. Ever since boons have been added, I haven't ever really had a horrible match. I've had tougher matches that is for sure, but I know how to react. I've also realized that in a meta change for survivors, it means you have to adapt as killer and there are certainly builds that can punish boons and make them more of a detriment for survivors.

One of the biggest ones is just a simple Thrill and Undying. Thrill is huge value and it basically means survivors have to cleanse instead of blessing because if they do, it is too much of a time sink. Throw on pentimento, bam extra gen slowdown too. Throw on any gen regression? makes the build more viable. Even throw on haunted and it is huge value.

Just silly seeing so much of the community act like killer is impossible now when players that either have been playing for a long time or practice and try to improve don't suffer or have matches like that. Sure everyone has bad matches, but it is always healthy to see where you can improve and realize where you made your own mistakes.

    No.

    Think about it this way.

What you are describing (TOTT+Undying) means that killers need to dedicate half their perk slots just in case someone brings COH.

Beyond this, TOTT is, itself, a hex. This means that it's fragile at best and at worst vanishes 10 seconds into a match because the survivors spawned on top of it. If TOTT was just a passive (as several hexes should honestly be), that would be one thing.

    But it isn't.

There is no realistic way to counter a COH in the RPD library, as just checking it is such a time commitment that you're falling behind even if it's there, and it covers half the map. Pantry, Haddonfield, Badham and other maps have similar positions.

  • @dimasert said:

can you guys please return to the old ranking system, this one suck, really really sucks, its not possible that every months we have to start from 0.

Okay, first - those are grades. Grades have no connection to rank.

Second, SBMM is far from perfect, but it does seem better than what we had before, especially as someone who's very much 'intermediate'.

You know you done good when you scare people not even playing as Scratched Mirror Myers! 😁

I'll have moments like that as Wraith (with his iri and purp - RIP), Hag, Pig and a few others, but the aura reading on SM just makes it really easy to set up the really funny scares.

As I said they're just rumours I keep seeing. Not mine.

I did watch Otz's games and it's obvious he's playing against a lot of potatoes.

Why? I don't know. Time of day? Full moon? Secret Fog Whisperer match making? Tanking MMR? Wouldn't be the first time popular streamers/youtubers deranked for easier games.

    Seeing...where?

This sounds like something you've fabricated wholecloth.

The EU server is known for Kafka matchmaking. Are you saying that a guy streams for 8 hours a day and spends another 8 hours smurfing his account down? Otz is a huge name, probably the most recognizable DbD streamer out there. Smurfing his MMR down would take tons and tons of games, and there would be hundreds of videos of 'Otz AFK in my game' videos.

Remember when a Fog Whisperer was caught smurfing under ranks? That was a ton of drama. And that was a much smaller name than Otz.

    @Sludge said:

Wow, a whole 8 hours playing video games. It's a wonder he can even get out of bed in the morning, he must be Superman.

What do you do after work?

This honestly seems like a petty vendetta of some kind.

Playing 8 hours of the game every day, then spending additional time smurfing...that's a ridiculous commitment for something that could be easily found out.

I am from europe too. Watch his video dude. Look at his nurse match where he got 4k for exemple, he got the game which is insane for nurse. Survivors perks were : only 1 dead hard, 0 ds, 1 UB (yellow) and only 2 BT (1 yellow tho). This is NOT what high mmr looks like at all. I am nurse player in EU and I extremely rarely get less than 3 dead hards in my games.

I watch a lot of his stuff. Most of his games are wall to wall meta perks.

I also watch other pretty high level streamers, and it's about the same. Every now and then, SBMM poops the bed.

    Wot I lerned:

    • Survivors are extremely BM when they win, even against someone as big as Otz.
    • Map plays a huge role in winning this game as killer.

Friend: Did you even place ONE trap?

Me: Yes...No? Yes...? No. No, I did not.

    HAHAHA.

Okay, I have to follow that up with one from tonight.

Queue into a 3man on Midwich as Scratched Mirror Myers.

Right off the bat - get several downs, just creeping in and going wild.

So they try to get smart, I come from the back and do it again.

Then they post one person as permanent lookout. I drop down from above and get them again.

    Postgame:

'Dude, you gave me such a fright that I screamed, then my sister screamed, then my dog ran out of the room barking'.

Well you asked for "who is worse than a mirror myers" and that is the almost comprehensive list of builds and killers I think are weaker. I think 16m of wallhacks is a useful tool to have anywhere. But some killer powers are gutted via maps.

And let's be real, maps are a huge factor in DBD. Probably the biggest balancing factor in the game as it stands. Do the survivors get ~12 "meh" pallets when they load into Shelter Woods, or do they load into the game and get ~26 god pallets? It's the biggest factor there is in determining who wins or loses.

    Yes, I agreed with builds.

I don't think there is any single killer, factoring in the totality of their addon options that is though. Legion and Trapper are borderline, maybe - but Clown sort of gets a pass due to Finger (at least until 5.5, if that does indeed go live).

  • @OpenX said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2738587#Comment_2738587

Anything legion. Trapper on a ton of maps. Clown with no bleach, ether, or extra bottles. Plague if the survivors don't cleanse and you load into a pallet town map. Billy/Huntress and some other killers on their worst maps or anyone running an actual meme addon.

    Uh.

    • I'd say that even Legion is miles better than Mirror Myers, especially with some of their addons.
    • Clown isn't a great killer, I'd also say that he's better than Mirror Myers.
    • Yes, 'worst maps' or 'worst etc.' - but we're talking entire killers here, not specific circumstances.
  • @OpenX said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2738579#Comment_2738579

Sure but any seasoned killer should be comfortable with M1 killers by now. You can't just mindlessly pursue chases but can easily get the drop on people and collect free hits. Sort of like a shittier wraith; but to be fair wraith is very strong vs. solo Q teams.

I'm not saying it's amazing or strong but it's not that weak either. There's significantly worse killers and builds you could be running.

    Worse builds? Yes, absolutely.

Worse killers than a mirror Myers? Name them.

  • @OpenX said:

With the buffs, I don't even think the T2 one is that meme anymore. 16m of wallhacks at 115 ain't bad on an indoor map. Or any map really, wallhacks are pretty solid.

    It's...pretty meme.

His big issue is that he has zero antiloop. This is somewhat counteracted by his ability to instadown - which the mirrors remove. Aura reading is more a fun novelty on him than a compensator.

  • @LoneSlinger said:

I have mained slinger for pretty much my entire time of playing dbd

And I'm not saying I'm giving him up but idk I find I'm facing tougher and tougher teams these days and I don't think I'm playing bad I hit all my shots and my chases typically last 30-50 secs and I always have at least one hook before 1 or 2 gens are done

But yet still all the gens are done in 5 minutes and everyone has dead hard and bt and spinechill or ironwill

So I figured I'd try and play the least popular killer to try and get some variety

What do you guys think stick to the slinger as one of the few remaining?

Or maybe try ghost face or something idk?

    Honestly?

If you enjoyed the 'stealth' aspect of Slinger, Myers or Ghosty would be good choices.

If you enjoyed the 'ranged' aspect of Slinger, Plague would be a good choice.

All of these are rare and all but Ghosty are way better put together than Slinger is right now.

I don't see things going better. This game is plenty of insults in chat and they are still playing :)

    Are you reporting these?

They are already against the TOU. BHVR has said multiple times that they do ban for this stuff. The problem is that - like with most games - there are likely a lot of tickets filed and only so many moderators available.

Either that, or maybe you've got a different idea of what constitutes a hateful act? I know I've been threatened with reports for killing someone wearing a pride charm or playing Claudette/Adam/Tapp, and once for playing Hag (I'm not kidding, apparently it was 'problematic').

That said, slurs and the like are confirmed 100% bannable.

  • @Sakurra said:

No, ask to ban hateful behavior.

    30 straight L's.

I quit playing Killer normally (because it's no longer fun whether I win or lose) so I decided to try to play Killers I have never played before in hopes that it would be a fresh experience.

Apparently, that was a mistake because I've lost 30 straight games while trying to learn Nurse.

Do the people making this game understand how ######### demoralizing it is to get clicked at, t-bagged and generally treated like a joke for thirty goddamn games? I had someone send me a TWITCH WHISPER to "learn how to play Killer gg baby Killer."

I had hoped that my MMR would lower enough to the point where I might get people on my skill level, but apparently not. I'm getting the exact same perk set-ups and the exact same people as my first games. It's not even that my MMR is high, I'm just BAD at Nurse because I've NEVER PLAYED HER BEFORE. I can't aim blinks and can't land hits and I'm never going to be able to because my games are ending before I get to learn ANYTHING.

Is this a rant/vent post? yes. Am I pissed? yes. Is this meant to be taken seriously? not really. Am I close to not being able to find any enjoyment in this game. also yes.

    Yup.

    I totally feel you.

I generally don't mind losing all that much.

What I mind is the sheer nastiness of survivors when they win, despite you going easy on them, them having a hacker, them having a crazy map etc. I recently watched a big name streamer do a series of videos where he ran every killer with no perks, and gave the other side a huge head start.

The sheer amount of BM and gloating he received in postgame was astonishing, and that's with him being incredibly well known.

Nurse is a tough killer to learn. Turn off postgame and just grind it out.

I always turn off postgame these days and only turn it on when I want to say something. It's done wonders for my enjoyment.

ah wouldnt it be wonderful if we could discuss issues one side faces without also having to discuss every issue the other side faces too

It's a competitive game, so you can't really separate things out like this. Frustrations and imbalances don't usually occur in a vacuum (unless it's a purely technical issue), they occur when aspects of both sides interact.

    @Advorsus said:

I agree, killers should only be allowed one gen slowdown perk. But remove the ability to stack second chance perks. You can't combine bt, unbreakable, dead hard(or any exhaustion perk), decisive strike, Deliverance, soul guard, adrenaline, all of em. Only one of these perks can be used per survivor.

Then let's see how the matches go. I'm guessing it's not going to be any different.

What about removing perks completely from both sides? Yeah no, outcome is still probably going to be the same.

Maybe it's just the fact that you're not very skilled? You can replay the bots mode in the training as many times as you like. Maybe that's more on par with the level of skill you're looking for.

    Shrug.

Honestly, with the exception of Surge on my M1 killers, I only ever run one slowdown perk as is (Surge+PR I use simply because they are both so incredibly satisfying, I could easily drop Surge and probably do better). Honestly, I find putting all your eggs into the slowdown basket (which is generally a 'win more' basket) you can actually do yourself a disservice.

LOL he's live again. Blatantly hacking. His stream title even says he's trying to get to rank 1 while hacking

  • @Veinslay said:

When you go against a blatant cheater advertising his TTV where he's openly hacking on stream. It's basically impossible to report him from console and posting him here is naming and shaming

If so, they've banned him numerous times and he just buys a cheapo account. For some reason Twitch refuses to ban his channel.

That said, it seems like they are making some changes in 5.5 to reduce these hacks, so I'll wait and see.

  • It annoys me, especially as it's one of those things that always seems to set off my photosensitivity issue.

That said, mechanically I don't mind it. I'll break the pallet and then generally the blind is over, or they blind me again and I'll follow them with sound or gamesense.

It's the dual flashlights locker trick and the weird stretched res 'that angle should be legitimately impossible' stuns that get on my grapes.

Let's face it, there is no hope for this game with the way it goes now. The path they take is obviously the wrong one. People always say "Be patient, wait, hold on, let me explain.." No, accept the fact that this game is going in a downward spiral. There is still no word about Ghostface or Legion, they will 'look into it'. 6 months further, no words or even the slightest signs, nothing. Deathslinger nerfs that were so unnecessary it made my skin itch. 5th Anniversary and Binding of Kin chapters that induced the worst type of lag, crashes, freezing, bugs and disconnects and removing disconnect penalties. It was the worst matches of my life. Console optimizations are still not mentioned and not actively worked on. Anti-cheat is a joke. Report system doesn't function. More cheaters by the day, more killers afk by the minute.

They continued to ignore the issues in this game and now they bring in the most ridiculous crap with addon nerfs for Nemesis, Blight, Clown, etc. and of course, removing leatherface masks because some people were vocal about it. Whoop die doo.

This is going too far, BHVR. Some people might still accept your #########, but not me, and I'm sure that others aren't happy with whatever you're doing either.

Anyway, good luck with your endeavors. I don't think you'll get your ######### together by then, I haven't seen a good change for 5 years anyway.

I'm still having fun, but I must say - yeah. 5.5 is one of the biggest 'is it worth it?' moments I've seen in DbD in a long time. Near unanimous frustration and annoyance.

    I'd add:

    • No adjustments to boons (CoH in particular) despite basically everyone I've seen agreeing that CoH is brokenly OP and unhealthy for the game.
    • Bizarre nerfs to addons on Nemesis and Twins that seem to boil down to 'well, these addons were used too much'.

The issue though is that it's insanely unfun to play against and there isn't much that can really be done outside of 'just let that player die'.

    this isn't a complaint just a question.

    I'll camp

    • When all gens are completed. It's a solid 'crisis moment' for everyone. I won't do it if more than 1 person is dead though.
    • When someone is BM.

That said, that's not camping and the score penalty is annoying. I swear, some people will deliberately run me around the hook for this exact reason.

    @SuzuKR said:

Meh, there’s nothing inherently wrong with camping. It’s a risky strategy with ups and downsides that can be punished.

  • @ElizaSteph said:

This isn’t me trying to be whiny or start an argument, but I have a geneuine question. I’ve seen a lot of killers get upset or mad when they’re accused of making the game less fun for survivors, and in turn reply with why should they sacrifice their fun for ours? That is fair question and they definitely shouldn’t have to.

But my point is, this is usually brought up when the other side is talking about face camping, slugging, and tunnelling.

For starters , the killer has more impact on whether or not the game can be fun. How can survivors ruin a killer’s game? The only answer I can think of (i have a lack of understanding of the killer’s side, so correct me if there’s more ways) is by being good at the game. A survivor that is doing their objective and playing really well— ie doing gens, looping efficiently, trying to save and help their teammates— is the only thing they can really do that can ruin the killer’s fun.

When killers are being accused of ruining the game, it’s because of toxic gameplay like camping and tunnelling. A killer can chose to play in a way that prevents others from playing the game properly. Survivors can’t prevent the killer from playing the game.

Say I get face camped. That’s me not being able to do objective or get chased, and my teammates are forced to sit on gens the entire time and not experience getting chased. If they decide to trade then the game just becomes this mindless grab and get hooked simulator where you don’t have to drop pallets or window fault or do any sort of plays. And when it’s solo que it’s almost impossible for any plan to work out.

Or if the killer decides to slug and not hook anyone until everyone is down. That’s people sitting around doing nothing. Not being able to go for saves or do gens etc.

Even if the killer is losing and doesn’t have any kills because survivors are playing super well, they still get to chase, use their powers, perks, etc. They still get to PLAY instead of playing experience hook or gen simulator.

How can a survivor take the same kind of fun away from a killer besides by just being good? That may sound back handed but I promise I don’t mean it to be. I just mean that survivors can’t really stop the actual game aspect, while killers can make it very boring for us.

My question is, do killers find this type of play style actually fun, or are they doing it just to win? Like is it more boring to not win a chase even if you try your best, than it is to sit on a hook and go after the saved person and immediately down them again?

Because I think that on killer’s side sometimes winning has become more important than having a fun game of chase and mind gaming, and this in turn effects the entire lobby. I’m not saying they should sacrifice their fun, I just want to point out that it’s a lot easier for them to take the game aspect out of the game and I don’t think they really have fun playing like that anyway.

Oof. Okay, this may come over as harsh, but I think you are way off the mark here.

    1. Tunneling isn't really a problem, unless it's straight off the hook. It isn't the killer's responsibility to distribute damage. A big part of playing killer effectively is removing one player ASAP. If you don't, you're going to get teabagged all the way to the exit gates.
    2. 'Camping' is too broad a term. Facecamping? Yes, that sucks. The devs are working on a way to discourage this further. Proxy camping or defending a hook? That, again, is just the killer playing properly. You aren't supposed to be guaranteed a safe unhook.
    3. There are plenty of ways survivors make the game less fun for me, deliberately. Here's some examples: Refusing to finish the final gen and instead stalling the game out by playing hide and seek or saboing and bodyblocking forever - a survivor can 'concede' by killing themselves on hook, but there's no way for the killer to concede short of DCing. Using certain map offerings + further hook offerings. Teabagging. Spamming flashlights. Purposefully DCing or AFKing. Hacking. Lag switching. Being butts in postgame. Exploiting areas of the game where they can be unhookable or unhittable. Abusing certain loops against certain killers that amount to infinites. And that's just off the top of my head.
    4. There is a common expectation that the killer gives the last survivor hatch or gate - to the extent that not doing this is considered BM. There is no such correlative expectation on the survivor end of things. In games where I 4k, there is about a 50% chance I get cussed out in postgame. I've been given a 'pity kill' on literally 2 occasions in 400 hours. I'm not sure how you can say 'winning for killers has become more important than the other side's fun' if you consider this - if anything, the opposite is more true from my experience.
    5. Lastly, 'a fun game of chase' - I routinely have games where I'll lose multiple gens before seeing a survivor, let alone having a chase, because everyone's running Spinechill or similar and just hides.

All in all, I strongly disagree here and I think this speaks to a certain bias on your side of things, mate. I'd suggest that you play a few dozen games as killer and take note of just how nasty the average survivor tends to be, and how little they consider your fun.

When versing a massive slowdown build. I've played against this numerous and numerous times and the end result is always exactly the same. It is always a bloody bloodbath because this killer with those perks and addons are so extremely oppressive. The game could never be fair when killers can "stack" slowdown perks, combined with an extremely high mobile and agile killer with addons such as this. I don't have to mention the name, the icon is so familiar.

I think slowdown and aura perks should be treated like exhaustion perks. Only one per trial. The killer needs to choose how he wants to slow the game down. Through passively with Ruin/Corrupt or aggressively with POP. Both is horribly broken when used together and Tinkerer simply enables god mode with it.

If the devs want to improve solo and regular queues, you need to look at this screenshot. Status symbols won't help against this. Four slowdown perks are too strong together.

Without a video, there's no way to draw any sort of info from this screencap. For all we know, you killed yourself on the first hook deliberately to set this up.

Well then, I'd like to ask you: YOUR list of killers who you find "viable" with simple reasons why.

I hope it's not the usual suspects though.

Why wouldn't it be the usual suspects?

The meta of this game is pretty well known.

Gann just did a pretty detailed thread on this, which I responded to. Feel free to read it and my response there.

    @GoodBoyKaru said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725435#Comment_2725435

No, it doesn't. Both sides have issues with balance and enjoyment which both need to be recognised. Absolutely nothing has to be made us vs them, it's the most counterproductive way of thinking. Get it out of your brain that the other side is out to literally murder you and everyone you hold dear and stop making everything a battle between you and them.

Looking at the front page of the forums this morning, the 'us vs them' stuff is coming primarily from one side. People are giving feedback and are met with 'oh look another QQ thread from killers'.

    This one, for example.

  • @ThanksForDaily said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725437#Comment_2725437

This is a killer main forum strategy, not a feedback. Enough said.

    ...Are you a mind reader?

People are giving feedback, on a feedback forum.

Again, you are free to disagree with them - but trying to paint them all as dishonest and saying that they shouldn't give feedback...that's silly.

  • @Voodoo_Thirsty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725442#Comment_2725442

That's not what "balanced" means and you know that.

Being balanced has nothing to do with being powerful. It means effective, but also equally vulnerable.

Yes. Which I'd phrase as 'powerful, but has counterplay'. That's fair and fun.

    Viable. Not overpowered.

  • @Voodoo_Thirsty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725427#Comment_2725427

So where does the viable part come in?

If there are core issues that needs to be dealt in DBD, what does viability have to do with anything regarding balance? You're absolutely right on the part that there are issues that the devs need to take care of, but leave anything "viable" out of the equation.

    What?

    ...Viability comes in with balance.

For something to be balanced, it needs to be viable. Reasonably powerful, but not broken.

    @Voodoo_Thirsty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725432#Comment_2725432

What killers "enjoy" has nothing to do with smth that's "fair".

If people want a game where playing killers or survivors feels like an equally matched battle, then that has more to do with proper balance regardless of what's "fun" or "enjoyable" for which side.

    Uh...yes, it absolutely does.

Twins for example are viable, but not fun. They are clunky to play and need some QOL improvements, much like Plague received.

A fun experience is one where the killer you want to play is both viable (as in, if you play well you stand a reasonable chance of winning) and feels good.

Yes, sharing an million times microwaved opinion who does only bad and nothing comes out of it.

The actual meaning of those threads is to bring attention to the devs.

Look devs, survivor OP, do something.

    Yes, and?

    That's feedback.

You may not always agree with the feedback, and you are free to say so.

What you don't get to do is tell people that they aren't allowed to provide feedback.

  • @Voodoo_Thirsty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725411#Comment_2725411

So... you state that stomping/getting stomped doesn't bring out the fun in you when playing DBD... Doesn't that reinforce my idea then?

That having an imbalanced game (where one side stomps the other) is wrong and that balance/fairness is the key to DBD's success? Leave the "fun" out? If we are indeed on the same page then I don't understand your comments regarding this issue at hand.

FYI: I never told a single killer to "cry more". I said bring good evidence and at least some logic to discuss the topic.

    No, not at all.

You just argued that killers who aren't viable are still 'fair'. I'm a little concerned about what your ideal vision of the game is, but I doubt it's something that most killer players would enjoy. Balanced/fair would mean that all killers are viable, certainly?

Not a single killer that I can remember has said that they want to auto-win every game. They just want stuff that is completely unbalanced fixed, and for stuff that isn't unbalanced (see: Wraith, Cenobite, Slinger) to stop being nerfed.

And no - you may not have, but as you can see in this thread - others do. And this is why they don't bother.

    @Voodoo_Thirsty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725415#Comment_2725415

    Absolutely not.

Some things in DBD indeed is not balanced. Case in point, Dead Hard.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725420#Comment_2725420

Becuz, being viable doesn't mean it's inherently "fair".

Dead Hard is a great example where it's viable AF, but it's totally unfair.

    No, you didn't say that.

Your implication was that not being viable is still fair. To me, that's simply untrue.

Viable may not always be fair, but being non-viable is always unfair.

  • @Voodoo_Thirsty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725398#Comment_2725398

So to put it mildly, you agree that the two killers are fairly designed, but just because that they're not viable you mentally switched off?

What I'm getting is that you believe viability worths more than fairness then, huh.

That's ironic, cuz I'm constantly seeing posts regarding how survivors are always running the most viable perk, Dead Hard and yet the killers are always complaining about how it's unfair.

What sort of argument even is this?

If a killer isn't viable, then how on earth is that 'fair'?

Dead Hard is prima facie unfair. It was the most overrepresented survivor perk by a mile, and then it got a hefty 'fix' (see: buff). It eats killer powers and constantly feeds the killer false information, while also being a defacto third health state.

    @Tiufal said:

You will only get the same responses as in those threads. This is unfun, this is bad, this is unbalanced, even though most of it is just solved by "git gud".

Well done for making my exact point for me.

This is why killers don't bother these days.

  • @Voodoo_Thirsty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725395#Comment_2725395

    You call it and "advice".

I've played plenty of matches as a solo survivor where the killer literally stomped my entire team within the first two gens. I've also had matches where the killer could barely get one hook the entire match.

The prior player would've had a blast while the latter would've come to the forums, log in and create another "Killers are so unfun now" post.

What I'm saying is that, having mood swings by feeling annoyed and venting here at the forums is worthless effort. At least put the time and effort to speak out on the problems that killers are generally facing instead of boo hooing 24/7.

I'm glad that killers made constructive posts before, but the most recent ones... holy moly...

Would they have had a blast? I know I wouldn't. Stomping isn't all that much more fun than getting stomped. I'm sure they are thinking something along the lines of 'SBMM, what are you?'.

When one side of your game is making the majority of 'this isn't fun' threads on your forums, that probably indicates that something is off about your game.

Beyond this, when you type out a huge thread of detailed feedback and get told 'cry moar', then you aren't going to bother putting the effort in next time.

Hello! As we enter 2022, I thought it would be cool if I did a brief explanation of where I think every killer stands currently. I’m not really going to be suggesting that many changes I think can be made to killers, just addressing my opinion on them. Let’s get started though!

TRAPPER: His last buff was helpful and made him feel better to play. However, there are still many things holding him back from being a good killer, like slow setup time, RNG nature of trap spawns, and hard countered by comms. Also DHing through traps shouldn’t be a thing. All the last buff did really was remove the add on dependent nature of his kit, which was certainly an improvement but there’s still some work to do.

WRAITH: Not sure what the devs were thinking when they nerfed his lunge. He was a “wee bit overpowered” after all. I thought he was perfect before the lunge nerf. Overall though, I think he’s in an ok spot right now and I wouldn’t say he’s a joke anymore like back in the day.

HILLBILLY: Who is this killer? Never heard of him. Jokes aside, it’s really sad what they did to our poor Billy. Arguably the most well balanced killer in the history of the game and then got handed the most unnecessary nerf ever. I never see him anymore and it’s really sad. Please give Billy some love, he’s in a horrible spot right now.

NURSE: This is the only killer in the whole game where I actually wouldn’t care if the devs just straight nerfed to the ground. This killer doesn’t follow the rules of the game and is as imbalanced as a seesaw with bricks on one side and a feather on the other. As long as she’s viable in her current state, killers will never get QoL improvements, so please just delete her.

HUNTRESS: One of the most well made killers in the game. Skill cap is sky’s the limit and there’s reasonable counterplay for the survivors. Hitboxes may be a problem with her hatchets but honestly, it’s just whatever. She should 100% stay the way she is at.

SHAPE: Our first licensed killer and I think he’s very accurate to the films. He definitely needs some buffs though as he’s an outdated killer that hasn’t really been changed that much since his release. Iri add ons are pretty ridiculous, not sure how they have survived for as long as they’ve had.

HAG: I really hate Hag. Just not a fan of her and most Hags play the camping play style. In terms of how I think she stands in the game, I think she’s fine other than the camping. I do think COH destroys her because she can’t really commit to chases. Nerf COH and nerf her camping please.

DOCTOR: I really like Doctor. I understand people’s perspectives on not liking playing against him but I find him fun to play as and against. Not much to say about him really other than I think he’s balanced and in a good spot.

CANNIBAL: People really hate Bubba for some reason. I get the facecamping can be annoying but like, it’s just an unfortunate thing that Bubba has going for him. He’s a well designed killer and I think he’s one of the more fun killers to loop imo. The last rework was really helpful to him as he used to be awful. Don’t really have much to say negative about him now other than the camping.

NIGHTMARE: I’m sorry GeneralV, but whenever I play as and against Freddy, I get put to sleep irl. Everything about him just screams underwhelming. Bring back old Freddy!!!

PIG: Honestly needs massive changes. There’s too much RNG that goes into her kit, stealth is terrible, and her ambush is underrated but still lacks in a few ways. She must receive buffs and have less RNG and I think it would be healthier for the game. Or you could just nerf her again because she’s OP.

CLOWN: Honestly his name describes him perfectly. He is a ######### clown. Clown mains, are you guys doing ok? I’m genuinely concerned for y’all. This killer is terrible and really needs massive buffs. An extra bottle that gives you two stacks of PWYF for a few seconds doesn’t help Clown out of the basement of irrelevancy at all.

    SPIRIT: 🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘😍😍😍

LEGION: Sigh. Honestly, I really don’t understand how Legion is even as popular as they are. With all the cosmetics they have, you’d think the devs would do something to make this killer not a slob to play as and against. Thankfully the OG version of Legion is gone and I never got to play against that, but honestly, Legion right now still sucks in so many ways and really needs changes. No downing potential and basically doesn’t have a power if survivors just play the game correctly.

PLAGUE: I like Plague a lot. She’s not one of my favs but I think she has potential and has one of the highest skill caps in the game. The last buff she received was great and it makes her feel better to play. She’s in a great spot now and don’t really think she needs much changes at this point. Also, when I play Plague, what is Circle of Healing again?

GHOSTFACE: I don’t really have a strong opinion on him. I guess he’s fine but I would like to see some buffs to his kit that make him less reliant on recovery add ons. Fix the reveal mechanic though. It’s so stupid getting revealed through walls and not revealing while staring right at him.

DEMOGORGON: Such a shame really that we lost the ST license. I assume we won’t see much of him as time moves on considering that you can’t buy him anymore. He’s a great killer for the game. I haven’t really seen one person complain about him because he’s just overall balanced, fun to play as and against, and is just a good boi.

ONI: I absolutely suck with Oni. If I do stream on Twitch in the future, don’t ask me to play Oni because I’ll be embarrassing myself for 10-15 minutes. My personal skill aside, I think Oni is a great killer and is balanced for both sides. I wouldn’t say he’s super unique but I guess the blood orb mechanic is something new we’ve gotten. Don’t really have much else to say considering I never see him as survivor and don’t play much of him. Oh wait there was something I wanted to add about Oni: he is Spirit’s grate grate grate grate grate grandfather so I wonder how he feels about me marrying her.

DEATHSLINGER: Guys, he really wasn’t that problematic before. Not saying you didn’t have to like playing against him because I certainly didn’t, but this past nerf was incredibly stupid and just ruined him. I liked playing Slinger at times before but now, I just can’t. Quick scoping was the fun part about him and they should’ve kept that in and just give him the slowdown after cancelling ADS.

EXECUTIONER: He’s a little janky but I don’t really see much of an issue with PP head. He’s not the most pleasant to go against but it’s honestly not that bad. I don’t really have much else to say really other than his add ons suck so hopefully we see an add on pass at some point in the future.

BLIGHT: Terrific job BHVR. Probably the most well designed killer of all time. I would say he’s an S tier killer but he’s an S tier killer that has counterplay, a skill cap, and is overall healthy for the game. Add ons and perk combinations can be stupid but overall, BHVR did an excellent job with Blight and I’d love to see more killers like him.

TWINS: What in the actual ######### did you do to this killer? I mean BHVR just tore their limbs off, bashed them in the face a few times, threw them in a volcano and just forgot all about them. Honestly, I know I may hate playing as and against Twins but just please give them something. I really hate seeing a killer in this horrible condition so please can we see some kind of love for them? I salute to all you 3 Twins mains for keeping them barely remembered.

TRICKSTER: Seriously, I mean this in the nicest way possible, but ######### you. That’s my opinion on Trickster.

NEMESIS: He’s ok. Just wish they made him a little bit more faithful to RE as he’s just uninspired. The RE chapter as a whole was just a complete disappointment and Nemesis was one of the reasons. Let’s get a whole redo on the chapter and make Nemesis like he was in RE 3!

CENOBITE: Ah yes, the start of the whole NFT scandal. Still absolutely disgusted in BHVR for getting involved with that. In terms of gameplay, Pinhead is a very well designed killer. He’s fairly unique and gives the survivors a secondary objective which is what they need. His skill cap is also high, just wish the reward was a bit better.

ARTIST: Everyone knows my relationship with Spirit, but Artist is as close as a killer can come to Spirit’s level. I’ve been playing Artist a ton since her release and she is way too fun. I feel like there’s so much you can do with the crows and I do think there’s counterplay from the survivor side. Even if a bunch of people don’t like her, I love her. She’s incredibly fun to play and whenever I face her as survivor, it’s usually a fun experience regardless of what others think when playing against her.

You aren't far off. Assume me not mentioning something is agreement.

Trapper - Yeah, he needs something. I'm not sure why people can Dead Hard through his traps.

Wraith - Watch Otz's video from yesterday. Wraith is bad. CoH basically hard counters him, and you'll see it every match. I'm not sure why lightburn is still even a thing. Prenerf Wraith was perfect.

Nurse - A lot of players enjoy her style, and straight up deleting a killer would be massively unfair to everyone who's invested hundreds of hours (and probably IRL money on cosmetics). It's not going to happen. Her addons probably need a tweak - but: If the devs are going to balance around gross kill rates without any regard for high MMR viability, then Nurse actually needs a buff. Fair is fair and double standards aren't good for anyone.

Myers - Nerf TSP, buff him elsewhere. I'd really like his 'stalk juice' to recharge, so he isn't completely unable to use his power in longer matches.

Hag - 'Camping Hags' aren't too hard to counter, you can detonate her traps safely if you know the trick. Likely my favorite killer. CoH is a problem for a lot of killers and will have to be nerfed.

Pig - The problem is her addons, and her entire kit force you into a 'I either need to be incredibly mean or I get stomped' playstyle. She needs a complete rework.

Legion - They are getting a rework, will have to see.

Demo - For some reason, he's the killer most likely to provoke BM from the other side. I have no idea why.

Oni - He needs better addons.

Trickster - Another killer that needs a total rework. He's blah to play and annoying to play against.

Cenobite - As a long of people have said, he needs help somewhere in his kit to compensate for most of his addons getting napalmed.

I'm tired of seeing killers cry every time I'm on this site. Enough with crying and start constructively jotting down points and factors that could make the role better.

And PLEASE for the love of god, stop saying that the side needs to be "fun". If killers find something "fun" then the survivors would probably feel the opposite, vice versa.

Make it "balanced" or "fair". I'm tired of seeing "oh, playing killer is unfun." BS.

And if you still don't get why "fun" can't be a medium for good balancing, then watch this:

    https://youtu.be/a1iOVUWoInQ

    That's all.

Sometimes the 'feel' of a game is just as important as the numbers.

Killers can do well sometimes, but it often requires a playstyle that isn't fun for anyone. Camping, slugging etc.

And there have been endless threads of constructive feedback and suggestions from killer players - which are inevitably met with responses exactly like this. 'Stop whining', 'OMG another crying killer thread', 'CoH is fine l2p', 'nobody is forcing you to play x killer' etc.

You aren't helping. Complaining about complaining is worse than simple complaining, because it provides no feedback about the game itself - it's just poking at people who are frustrated.

  • @Aurelle said:

This has probably been said many times already, but I want to give my opinion on killer in it's current state.

Killer is very stressful to play right now and it really shouldn't be. Just to give some perspective, here's what killers have to keep track of:

    - Managing generators

    - Managing the 4 survivors

    - Chasing survivors around loops, windows, etc.

    - Downing and hooking survivors

    - Putting out Boons (If the survivors bring any)

And all of these can be affected by maps, map size, perks, etc. The current survivor meta doesn't help with the stress factor on the killer side, either. The survivor meta right now is to put up Boons, quickly heal, rush gens and get out as soon as possible. This why some (if not, most) killers have resulted to camping and tunneling or using No Way Out and NOED. Because it's the only way to win as killer right now.

All I'm asking for is some QoL improvements for killer and balance things on the survivor side so killers can actually have a chance. This game should be fun for all players, not just one side.

    Yup.

    • Boons are ultra frustrating and are going to have to get changed, CoH in particular. They've created a very poisonous meta.
    • I'm seeing a lot more sabos right now, as survivors have started to realize that certain maps have hook spawns where a single sabo can turn an entire chunk of the map into an unhookable safezone.

    @ThanksForDaily said:

Yes, this have been said many times but you deliberately added one more.

    Godforbid.

  • @iThe1One said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2725370#Comment_2725370

I'm forcing a stalemate because If I give into the chase they all clump up on 1 gen like flies on horseshit and they win. I don't chase more than 5-10 seconds, hoping they go into an illusionary pallet or make a mistake in a dumb loop where I can static shock them and whack them, they EVENTUALY make such a mistake, that's how I can win my games.

You are winning your games by forcing a stalemate and hoping the other side gives up first. What's going to happen is that your MMR is going to inflate and you'll be up against survivors who'll run rings around you, and you'll be having no fun.

Accept that you'll have to take a few losses as you learn how to chase, play games out (just...turn postgame chat off) and focus on the fundamentals. Eventually your MMR will stabilize at a region where you'll find your stride.

  • @ImBlissful said:

Suppose you take away ALL perks, items, addons, and offerings from the game, on both survivors’ side and killer’s side.

Would there be killers that are deemed as unfair (overpowered or even underpowered) right off the bat? If so, which ones, and why?

I’ve been thinking about this for a while because, if there are imbalances present even without anything extra, these potential imbalances would probably be the root cause of many, many problems people have with perks, items, and addons.

Maybe I’m just an ignorant noob who is unaware that people unanimously believe the game is completely balanced under all of the extra stuff, but for clarity’s sake, and for the hope that I’m actually onto something, I want to know what everyone else thinks about it.

At a certain skill level, Blight, Nurse and to a lesser extent Huntress would likely qualify as overpowered - but not as OP as people make them out to be..

    • Nurse can be very streaky and some maps are annoying for her.
    • Ditto Huntress.
    • Blight is strong but depends a lot on addons.

Underpowered? I'd say Trapper, Wraith, Cenobite, Legion and Pig.

If you want to see a neat experiment, Otz's stream yesterday was him playing every killer without perks and giving survivors a 30 second head start.

What the results seem to indicate:

    • The killer experience depends heavily on map and RNG as to where survivors spawn/how fast they get onto gens.
    • At the MMR 'cap', matchmaking becomes silly.
  • @Pulsar said:

Respectfully, if your matches are lasting 30-60 minutes, your opponents are either not trying to win or not good.

    @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

Where are you finding these 30-60 mins long matches? Mine are around 14-20 mins tops

    I've had them before.

    For example:

    • Get sent to Ironworks on Demo. Get hammered by a 3man SWF right from the get go, but eventually eliminate one and then another after they give me a 3gen. Two of them decide to sulk and play hide and seek for 45 minutes, doing just enough to avoid the crows, until I go AFK.
    • End up in Eyrie as Pig versus a 4man TTV SWF from Russia. They keep the hook at the rear of the map sabo'd and immediately run there if they're injured. Refuse to complete the final gen and instead spend half an hour meme-ing on stream with bodyblocks, sabos and a pair of boon totems (Exponential/Overcome/CoH). Basically impossible to hook them.

First some context to this whole thing.

Got the game free on Epic, played with a friend who had like ~200 hours before that, I'm a fast learner, I got to Iridescent 2 and him to Iridescent 4, I have meh perks as I'm stuck with the starter survivors so games are usually pretty close.

I also sometimes play as a killer when he's not online. And now here's my issue. For a while killer was fun, I was maining Huntress, chases could take anywhere from 15-30 seconds, the pacing was nice, I'd win some games, I'd lose some, I bought Doctor because fighting vs him felt infuriating...but in a good way, like he was meant to be, constantly making you panic, didn't feel overpowered nor weak.

But then I got to silver rank with killer and game is constantly putting me vs 4 man Iridescent rank players with 2 flashlights and 2 toolboxes, they use said toolboxes to sabotage hooks the moment I grab someone, they body block, they flashlight save, they do EVERYTHING to make sure I can't get a single hook, If I chase someone they go to the most disgusting place on the map to loop me for 1 minute until their teammates finish 3 gens.

NOW finally to my point. I was sick of playing their nasty games so I now I tunnel someone until they do 2 gens, then patrol the 3 closest remaining gens on the map, forcing them to do the furthest one and 3 gening themselves, and since I play Doctor with Distressing + Calm addon, after I whack someone and if they make a small mistake I might chase for a few seconds, then I go in the center of the gens, with my huge terror radius I use Static Blast and where I see a scream I go and whack that generator with Oppression + Overcharge perk.

This leads to games taking 30-60 minutes until they eventual get greedy with the gens or they make a mistake and I catch them. Haven't lost a single game yet this way despite the matchmaking spazzing out with 15 minute queues to find me 4 man premade squads that are all Iridescent 1 with Unbreakable + Borrowed Time + Dead Hard + random perk.

Am I winning all matches? Yes. Is it fun? HELL NO, but if I can't have fun, neither will those survivors.

And what seems to be the cause of this? Gen finishing speed is too fast and loops are too powerful. Gens need to take longer and loops need to be cut shorter, especially pallets, make pallet drop animation faster (buff for survivors) but cut down the walls around them so the loop is harder (buff for killers), so that way survivors drop pallets and run instead of looping you endlessly around the same broken piece of parkour scenery.

1 week ago I didn't understand why killers were complaining, now I see why. Might go back to survivor because despite killer making more BP, 2x the BP is not worth it when matches take 4x longer.

    A few thoughts:

    • There are indeed loops that are a bit strong, but Doctor isn't a killer that worries as much about them. Once you have your shocks down, you should be able to contest many of these.
    • Part of your problem is likely your build. Distressing is terrible, even on Doctor - you are giving people an extra two seconds to start running. I'm not sure what perks you have available, but try something like: Jolt/Surge+Sloppy+Overcharge+Oppression, based on the perks you mentioned having.
    • If you have them, Starstruck+Agitation+Pop+Oppression would be another solid option for you. This will absolutely stomp the people that seem to frustrate you.
    • The 'no hooks' squads are very frustrating. However, again, Doctor is one of the best killers to counter these. Survivors can't sabo in Madness III.
    • Grades have no effect on your matchmaking.
    • 3gens are strong, but it sounds like what you are doing is forcing a stalemate situation. If you force a stalemate, you don't get to complain about the game being a stalemate.

Dude I'm watching the Otz replay now, and holy cow, I thought the hate I was getting from survivors was an isolated event but its just everywhere.

Otz is pretty funny. He's always like 'yeah, just don't let it get to you' - but you can see that it shakes him up. Which is understandable.

Okay so I'm trying to buff my friends account but problem is he has a limited amount of money and spends all his shards on survivors. He does have plenty of BP though, so what's the best build I can make out of the free killers, plus Nemesis, Twins and Legion?

    Anybody?

    CI

    Lethal Pursuer OR Discordance

    Thana

    Eruption

Two matches I delt with campers something is going on now and I want to know what.

One swallow does not a summer make.

Two campers does not a national park make.

    Here's a few things though:

    • When you say 'camped', do you mean facecamping or simply protecting the hook?
    • Camping does penalize killers when they facecamp. BHVR wants to do more to discourage this, but it's tricky to get right.
    • Proxy camping (ie. defending the hook) is completely legitimate and the devs have confirmed as much.
    • If someone is camping, just do gens. It sucks, but it is what it is.
    • If you are really concerned about campers, bring Camaraderie. It basically hard counters the strat.
    • A lot of killers are rather fed up right now. Watching Otz doing his 'no perks no addons 30 seconds wait' games today made me realize just how nasty survivors tend to be when they win. And this is versus one of the biggest DbD streamers around. Combine this with the DH buff and boon shenanigans (boonanigans?) and yeah - after you get multiple games in a row where you try to be nice, get punished for it and then get told to uninstall in postgame, you tend to be out for wins no matter what.

I said i enjoyed this game, way more than i do nowadays, and that is why i barely touch killer now except for rift or achievements.

A lot of times i get 2-4 hooks and 5 gens done. It's pretty obvious i am underperforming, so mmr is clearly not working. And of top of that i get survivors that are much much better than me. I would end afking and grabbing a drink a lot of matches if i do like you say, not just because the stall (which happens a lot when survivors realize they are better/have a good map), but because is depressing: 2 hooks 4 gens. The others come when i start camping when i see that there is one gen left. Is really sad

So its a bit of a rant and a bit of a, maybe, alert to the devs, if they even bother reading...

The game its unique, but if this keeps happening, is not going to last more than 2 years, imo

SBMM is weird, but it definitely does work. It just takes a while to update sometimes (from my experience). I'll have 4 or 5 bad games back to back and the next morning I'll have 3 or 4 much easier games.

And yes, that's the nature of DbD. Close games are the minority. Usually, you'll either stomp the survivors or they'll all get out without many hooks. Killers rely on escalating pressure, and when you can't escalate that pressure you don't really have many other tools.

DbD has it's flaws for sure - but it's way better than it was this time last year. It's Xeno's Paradox: the more something improves, the more obvious it's remaining flaws become.

Yeah, but when i get sent to maps, tbagged, clicky clicky, genrushed, verbally abused and so on, thats ok? TBH i dont care about the bloodpoints, and when players have a dc i usually just farm or give hatch. I just want to have some fun, apparently i cant anymore

But we are talking about time here: is either suffer 10-15 minutes or eat the penatly...

You say find another game. I enjoyed this game a lot, im deciding to play it and suggest changes, specially now that playing killer is miserable most of the time, why would i play other games? im trying to find solutions

Also, could add some killer bots, since the genrush is so intense ( in most of my matches when i get my first hook, i have already 2 gens done, that is a joke)

Im pretty sure a lot of casual players gave up killer because its unbearable atm, so even more points in favor of the bots, since the matches are going to be like that

Yes, those things suck. But removing the DC penalty results in a situation where someone DCs the second they decide they don't like the killer you are playing, get downed early etc. When the penalty is off, this game is even more miserable.

If you DC occasionally, but play most of your matches out you'll never get a penalty. I never have - not once. If the majority of your games are this unpleasant, then I'm not sure how you can also say 'I enjoy this game'.

If the enemy team is stalling the game out/taking it hostage, just alt+Tab and get a drink. Otherwise - play it out.

    A few things:

    • Yes, killer can be very frustrating and toxic survivors make it worse. However, the solution isn't to punish everyone.
    • Losing an early gen or two is pretty expected on some maps. Often though, once you get your first hook you can translate that into a snowball and regain control of the game.
    • If need be, stake out a 3-4gen and control that area. You might not win, but it's your best option.
    • On the other hand, if you do get early hooks that usually translates into a snowball in your favor. That's just the nature of this game - it's snowbally.

Also, im talking about killer here only, not survivor side, they can easily go to next match if they decide to by just getting hooked and suicide

Which is why a lot of people have suggested a 'concede' option for killer. However, this has to be balanced against not letting people smurf.
