So punish survivors for doing their objectively effectively?
Like DS punishes a killer for doing their objective effectively?

Psh, I'll always take an extra hit when it presents itself. If I see 4 survivors grouped up, Im not gonna carefully down only 1 with Bubba's chainsaw and let the others run off scott free while I go for a hook.
I'm mostly talking about when it's down do the last 2 survivors ;)

Watch, theyll give it to everyone in a month or two and say they were collecting data about how the community responds to such an event. Killers holding power over cosmetics and survivors being selfish sneaks about it.
Or it's just another bad event.
Truth.
-
Please tell me that Survivors would let Killers get a 4k if it were required for them to obtain the crown and survivors just needed to collect it during the match without the need to escape.
I need a good laugh.
Survivors are just as sweaty so get over yourself.

I just want to be able to pip or safety pip without having to 4K lol
I know this is implied in your statement, but I want to reiterate... pip / win without slugging.
-
Sounds like another entry in the Survivor Rulebook.
-
It'd be nice if you could advertise as a killer that you're using a cake offering so the other survivors could add theirs in as well.
Right now it's random luck that you'd get that to happen...
-
Of course it does.
Players aren't playing with a normal match in mind. This is an event and the goal of the event isn't to finish a gen and escape.
-
If they start doing this, I'd like to see more groups involved. I'd be particularly interested in Mexican/Latin themed cosmetics as well.
Considering that it's a Canadian based company, I'd like to see something done in support of the Indigenous people of Canada. The discrimination they face flies under the radar compared to other marginalized groups.
Some of the stories are very sad.
Some Indigenous people say discrimination they've faced by doctors and nurses in British Columbia is so normal that they weren't surprised to hear about allegations of an emergency room "game" in which health-care staff guessed the intoxication levels of Indigenous patients. But the allegations are still triggering, they say. -
They probably should be unlocked for everyone some time after the event is over so those people who were unable to receive the cosmetics during the event for whatever reason would be able to enjoy them with everyone else.
It would be in the community's best interests.
-
Don't worry about getting the cosmetic.
I'm sure the devs will unlock it for everyone in the future anyway lol
-
Devs are stingy with their bloodpoints.
Only rare bloodpoint offerings for us.
-
Any logic applied to Event exclusive cosmetics can be applied to Legacy cosmetics.
If you're going to unlock event cosmetics for everyone because some people lost theirs, you should do the same for the people who lost Legacy cosmetics due to the EXACT SAME BUG and simply release them to everyone.
If you want to keep Legacy exclusive to reward long time players, you should do the same for players who were present at the events when they happened because they too are long time players.

They can’t because they’re a source of income. Howling Ground cosmetics are a different story..
Tome 1 & 2 are not purchasable to my knowledge.
-
It's more like a master & padawan relationship.
BHVR is certainly learning from the likes of Bethesda, EA, and Activision.
It's only a matter of time until we see "surprise mechanics" in the game... oh wait.. is that the Bloodweb?
lol
-
We can add all Rift Cosmetics to this list also though.
Unlock all rift cosmetics for the exact same reasons you're unlocking other past event exclusive items.
Otherwise you're simply full of excuses.
-
Hag.
But some people would say it's actually complaining ;)
-
Looks like I found the topic of my next video....
Maybe they should start unlocking all the cosmetics from past battle passes for those who weren't able to complete them.
"In the communities best interest" logic applies equally in this scenario.
If you're going to unlock all the "unavailable" cosmetics from the past for this reason, do the same for the unavailable Rift cosmetics as well.
It's disingenuous not to do so.
-
I'd dig a Legendary Hag skin that included a new mori.
-
So I guess the devs and forum mods themselves are guilty since they defend the tactic as a legitimate playstyle?

Podcasts are good for discussing hot topics.
I wanted to start one with smaller creators once upon a time but never got around to planning it or making connections.
I only contacted one other creator and that was Yerv back when he had like 2k subs on YT lol
I wouldn't mind being part of one if it could come together well.

This title applies to every DbD patch in its history.

Another problem is now your spreading this strategy around so other like minded killers can try this. Should have just reported this and kept it to yourself~
And it's the weekend.
Better avoid that room if you can just in case.

Giving a 104% offering a special name is no better than coming across a pudding or cake in the bloodweb.
The biggest draw of these events is being able to have a double bloodpoint period AND being able to use one of these offerings to quadruple the bloodpoint gain which makes a reasonable dent in the already tremendous grind that exists in the game.
By giving us a special 104% offering, we essentially get a 4% bloodpoint bonus.
The devs WANT the grind to last as long as possible which is why we don't see them at the same time anymore.
I plan to save every 104% offering for the next time they have an actual bloodhunt and I suggest that you do the same if you still have stuff to grind for.
-
I'd like to point out that Behaviour Interactive's estimated annual revenue is currently $113.1 million per year.
And they don't want to hire more people who "don't get their way of doing things" per King's interview with Mcote.
Do you think this is still a small gaming company that's doing its best?
It feels like they're milking this thing for all its worth and people keep throwing money at the company hoping that their contribution will magically get the devs to fix the game.
Take a look at this list of bugs and issues.
Think about your own issues you have with the game.
Don't you think millions of dollars should be enough money to hire more people to at least get the bugs out of the game?

I haven't because the argument is is it scummy to punish people for playing a character they like and the answer is always yes
Being willfully blind to the statement of others doesn't win debates. But I suppose you can think that if you like, anyone else with the ability to think critically will come to a different conclusion.
Have fun in your blindness good night.

Thats not a professional one and thats just the booth (On eBay at that) discluding the equipment and everything else.
I love how you've lost this debate but don't even see it.

Kate's hook sound and Huntress' breathing can have that same quality imo.
And then of course Scoop's ahegao hook scream.

Also the cost of an in house audio booth is at the very least $4000 for a professional one so you're telling me you expect them to pay $4000 to add a couple grunts and screams onto a skin that probably wouldn't even make over $4000?
I found one for $200.
Shall we continue?

You realize a lot of that isn't JUST DBD? DBD has its own funding which they use to pay everyone else in the now team of over 200 people. Also you can't argue literally anything all you've done this entire time is "DEV BAD!!! DEV MEAN DEV MAKE SKIN TOO EXPENSIVE!!!!!" Like im sorry but what did you expect? When they introduced legendary skins its common sense that they'd be MORE expensive than very rare skins as they're a higher rarity so how did you honestly expect them to cost less? I seriously cannot believe you're this dedicated to hating the devs that you support scummy playstyles and being a disgusting person just because "Muh skin too expensive." Sorry you don't like it but stop taking that hate out on others its so pathetic.
Again you're mistaking cost with value within my argument.

Except theres kind of a global pandemic going on so voice acting is incredibly hard especially on a separate licensed character
Nothing in this post of yours talked about the fame of the subjects or projects, and in the end you admit that this point fails since you yourself say that it's possible.

Was Tony Todd talking about Dead By Daylight? No? And is he also a famous actor doing voice lines for an incredibly famous and popular horror movie that can no doubt fund something like that? Yes? And doesn BHVR have funding to do all that especially just for a couple grunts and screams? No? Alright next. Just admit you're entitled and wanna punish people for liking a character
BHVR's estimated revenue is approximately $113.1 million per year. Plenty of cash to spare for some long distance voice recording.
By resorting to name calling (entitled) you've successfully lost all basis to be arguing with me about this matter since you clearly have no facts to back up your claims.
You should move on.

As I recall, when Candyman was still being speculated, Tony Todd tweeted about audio techs turning one of his rooms into an audio booth. Additionally, it's possible to record audio tracks in one place and send them to another to be processed.
Please, continue to try and come up with more excuses because this is fun.

What I don’t get is why people complain about prices. Auric cells are pretty cheap and as long as something looks good I’m gonna buy it and that seems like a better mindset then crying over 10$
It's never about the price per se, it's about the value of the items vs what we're being charged.
At release consider what $10 got you with the Frank character. Compare that with what you get for the $15 "Legendary" Lisa character. If you see what I'm getting at, that's generally what people are upset about.
The value of the "Legendary" skins.

They say the same thing about map fixes, sound fixes, general balance, perk changes, and literally every other thing players request on a regular basis.

You're personal issue is how someone else spends their money.
How do you not drown in your own disgusting entitlement every second of your existence?
You're projecting.
If you take a moment from your own drowning situation and think about the implications of the statement you'll find where its validity lies.
Try thinking about it this way:
A company creates a product. They put less effort into this product as other products they've created but charge a higher price by labeling it as a premium item.
IF the item sells like crazy they'll continue to create subpar products in the future since it took less effort to create.
IF the item doesn't sell well, perhaps the company will improve the quality of such "legendary" products in the future.
See the point now?
If you don't see it, ignore it, or otherwise don't care there's no hope for you as a consumer and you'll continue to be fleeced by these sorts of marketing tactics.
A _____ and their money are soon parted afterall.

Take your money.

If sounds were fixed I'd buy the Rift and all of Lisa's cosmetics.
They will NEVER be fixed so... I guess I can spend my money on games that are fully functional?
-
Cages count as being hooked, but being released from one doesn't count as being unhooked.

Sorry you don't think shes up to your standards but its gross you feel the need to ruin everyone elses experiences and gameplay for it because that won't do anything
I said it was interesting.

Well I pretty much saved up cause I figured it would be in the $15-$20 dollar price range and Lisa has been my favorite character for almost 10 years now ever since I got into the franchise so I knew it'd be great to nab her when I could. Do I think she was a bit overpriced? Yes but for how long I've loved Silent Hill and Lisa I really knew she'd be my favorite to play and it sucks people wanna hate her or me for buying her/playing her as if thats really gonna change anything.
That's fine, but my personal issue is that you're willing to pay a premium price for a bargain bin item.
There's no separate voice actor or lore tied to the skin at the very least.
By paying for the item anyway, you and others with a similar "I don't care" mindset are encouraging the company to continue to sell uncommon items at exorbitant prices.
The more people buy these things, the sooner we'll see even more overpriced items in the store.
In the end, there's nothing we can really do about it since the company will do whatever they want.
But a small protest might become something more potent the longer the company continues to ignore concerns and do whatever they like...
-
Yes it is.
-
Tunneling Lisa Skins might be an interesting protest tactic.
The legendary skins are lack luster money grabs indicated by the lack of a new voice for the skin and the marketing spin that this "new" character doesn't come with perks or lore.
This skin is more than the entire dlc.
Perhaps the protest is in an effort to limit the skins use and subsequent purchase of those skins to encourage bhvr to give a better value to these $15 "Legendary Skins"
-
They advertised Legion as 4 characters also...
Why are you surprised?
Anyone paying even 1 micron of attention saw this coming a mile away.
Although I didn't expect no new voice for her lol that seems like an exceptionally bad choice for a "Legendary" anything.
