Yea, lots of sarcasm in the forums.
I know I'm adored here ;)

Lets not pretend you care about survivors, it's very evident frmo everything you post you think killerd should 4K almost every game, you'd probably make another sarcastic post were bloodlust removed, you've never made a positive video about survivors, like when you played rank 20 to show how easy survivor was? lmao.
Let's not pretend that you've seen all of my videos all the way through.
It's more likely that you've never seen the instances where I talk positively about survivors.
As for the 4k statement:

So what are these egrigous game breaking updates? As far as I can tell, they've never walked back an update since then, so how in the world is the game playable if there a more game breaking updates they've made?
I'm not a Nurse main, but I'm sure they have an example or two.
@Seanzu said:
AND ANYWAY
why do survivors need stamina when killers have bloodlust? You literally have the additive to a survior negative, you have something that makes you faster without benefitting survivors.
What happens to bloodlust when a killer breaks a pallet?
What happens to a survivor's when they drop a pallet?
Is Bloodlust a good mechanic?

Ok, you win, you're right, however, doesn't stop the fact that you bring up the same point every time almost like there isn't a single other time since then that the devs have made a seriously egregious update that seriously was game breaking.
Of course there are more. This is my favorite because the ENTIRE community agreed that it was... a bad decision. The fact that it was deliberate is the biggest draw to the example.

Im PRETTY sure @SpaceCoconut was bein abit cheeky with this suggestion and didnt ACTUALLY think it should be a thing. Its more to make a statement about how dumb tying everything to cooldowns are.
Pretty much this.
Well reasoned arguments feel like they fall on deaf ears.
Compare this thread to the one about last second swaps and that's basically what I mean.

What the hell does something being relaxing have to do with the argument I made? If you can’t rebut my point it would be smarter to just not say anything.
I inferred from your post that because Survivors didn't have a power to deplete that they didn't merit a stamina bar. My point (as round about as it was) was that the Survivor role is easy and a stamina bar would bring the effort required to play the role up a few notches where a survivor would have to think about when and how to run in the same way that a killer has to decide when and where to use their power.

I worked with the model in Blender it's made the exact same as the rest of them. You could have them separate it really wouldn't of been that big of a deal they're just forcing it.
I wish we could highlight posts like this. Can you post images of it somehow?

Because it doesn’t make any sense. Killers with cooldowns and such have them on their power, powers which allow them to teleport or go invisible or insta down, but survivors have no power to deplete stamina for.
And yet they are the easiest and most relaxing role to play.

No PTBs back then.
Almost the same when you pretended those changes lasted for a long time when the event wa 2+ weeks and the update was reverted in 3 days.
The length of the change is irrelevant to your point. They were deliberately implemented. "That does not stop the devs from adding equally stupid nerfs to Killers." Which is the statement I was addressing.

you can't lobby dodge if you have less than 150ms.
ok?

It looks like it's only the blindness that's applied on an M1 hit. The rest of the perk works as long as they're downed.
Them being blind for a few seconds isn't going to be a big deal so it should be fine.
Unless I'm mistaken and the perk as a whole requires an M1 hit...
-
You can use an endgame Wraith build if you want to farm Rift xp with minimal effort.
NoED & Bloodwarden and any other 2 perks you'd like to use.
Let them finish all the gens and then see how many survivors you can down during the End Game Collapse. Winning or losing isn't the point, but you should get anywhere between 450-600 xp for the match depending on how it goes.
You're not AFK and you're not suffering at the hands of Survivors, all while farming Rift xp relatively quickly.
Good luck!
-
Reminder that the post also says "Please keep in mind that numbers are not everything; there are a whole bunch of factors that could influence these numbers."
Also according to those stats, Ghost and Pig have similar kill rates in NOVEMBER of 2019

If a player can't buy part of a cosmetic to go with their outfit they won't buy the cosmetic in its entirety.
If we see less of these locked cosmetics then we'll know the sales weren't what they were expecting and then we'll see more of the sectioned cosmetics that we're used to.
If we continue to see locked cosmetics... you can blame the people buying them.

Maybe not, but it should be at least enough time to change out one perk.
Though we should totally get perk presets regardless of this being addressed or not.
Truth.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Btw a way to prevent the swap would be to allow the Killer to alter their loadout in the last 15 seconds of the countdown, but not the Survivors.
I thought about that, but unless we had the ability to have perk presets 15 seconds might not be enough time to change your entire build if you needed to.
-
Everyone talking like the Last Second Swap doesn't exist.
-
It'd be nice if Lightborn protected killers against more than just getting blinded.
Hag and Wraith could do well with that.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
i kinda think 90 seconds may be okay. you hit someone, they get the speed boost and drop the item. the 90 seconds start. in those 90 seconds they have to either escape a chase or:
1) Get downed
2) Get hooked
3) Get unhooked
4) Maybe get healed
5) Find the item
6) Collect the item.
theoreically, the 90 seconds should be good, since either they force an unsafe unhook by insta-saving or they waste a lot of time on the hook.
This is a fair point. You might be right :)
-
The 20 second duration. I guess it's not really a cooldown huh?
-
It'd be nice if the cooldown was straight up removed lol

I think survivors have been nerfed enough.
Yes. Swf is a HUGE issue.
I think they should add a generator more per friend for swf groups. Reasonable balance.
If they want to swf they should be up for an extra objective per friend in match.
It's an interesting dilemma.
Solo survivors need to be balanced differently than SWF. But balancing one impacts the other. Same effects with killers. The impact of killer changes are greater on solo than they are on swf groups.
Playing with friends shouldn't be punished, but swf swat groups shouldn't be able to steamroll a killer.
Unfortunately the trick to balancing this lies directly on the swf group. Casual friend groups are going to suffer from the change the most.
What the devs are going to do is the real concern.

I didn't go after the uncaged person, but knowing where they were was helpful for knowing where the other survivors were. If I hadn't found another survivor yet, I could try to find the uncager. Now, the only situation in which caging is good is if you have another survivor right in front of you. Otherwise, the loss of information could cause the killer to lose any and all momentum they may have had. Trying to save Torment for the mini-mori is probably the best way to go.
This is actually what I've been doing. I just try to get everyone tormented then mindgame the ranged attack and M1 for the rest of the match.
It's not very engaging gameplay imo
-
It's anecdotal, but I feel like I'm going against teams more often. Pairs 3 and 4 man groups all included.
It's going to be a very bad time, but I hope SWF continue to grow in popularity. When they do, the data will back up what players have been saying about them for years and maybe we'll start to see balance changes that address the issue.
The issue being the strength of an organized swf group compared to a single equally skilled killer.
-

except we have tons of videos showing online of several different streamers showing strong play and the survivors still pushing through gens very quickly. got mentioned in this thread but tru3ta1ents newest bubba vid shows him getting 6 hooks in 6 minutes and all 5 gens are done in that time. he never tunneled, he hooked every single surivivor at least once, he got a hook every single minute and still gens flew. Doesnt really matter how good you play, a good team has a numbers advantage on you.
This is the important aspect of this conversation and should be the focus of discussion.
-
I had a similar match last night. I'm not positive, but I believe it was a SWF and they were able to do gens very quickly preventing me from being able to put any pressure on them.
Add in the common bodyblocking, flashlight saves, holding w, and dropping pallets with some clicky clicky teabagging at the end and you have a gameplay experience that is clearly unbalanced.
Winning as a SWF swat team isn't hard and many of these groups of players feel like they accomplished something difficult lol.
I wonder when the devs will do something about the imbalance.
-
I'd like to amend the OP and say that killers shouldn't be addon AND perk dependent. :)
-
Your concerns are all valid, but they might not be as doom and gloom as you think.
1) Yes, you'll be matched up against survivors of relatively equal skill to your own. Do you sweat in your matches all the time or sometimes? So will the opponents you face.
2) You can still "have fun", but you'll be matched against opponents of relatively equal skill to your own. Don't worry about winning and you'll be fine.
3) This won't be a problem if scores are separated by killer. The only think players will have to worry about is knowing that every killer they face is being used by a skilled player. I use Hag as an example and am utter trash with Nurse and Billy.
4) Is what will happen. SWF groups will grow in popularity when they're faced with stronger killers. This also means that the obvious strength of those groups will also become more apparent to the devs through data and will begin to see rebalancing to see balanced matches between solo, swf, and killers. Months of suffering might lead to a better game in this case.

Though the inclusion of pyramid head and his mechanics show that the devs have been playing around with new ways for mori's to work. We could potentially see more killers in the future have built in "quick" mori's and this would open up the ability to change how mori's could work in the more current style of DBD. im not holding my breath but if all killers were to have a quick mori added to their kit as an option we could really change how mori's work on a very base level since we could change how scoring and everything works for these new style of mori's.
This is very true. In a video about PH I do talk about this and how I hope that this mechanic is used to improve the game in the future.
They did this with Steve's perk that slowly heals you over time, the same mechanic that was later used for one of the syringes ;)
-
Mories won't be removed because they're a major highlight to every new dlc.
Keys and mories are remnants of the way the game "used" to be balanced. They're both outdated and their functionality are ill-suited to today's gameplay loop and scoring.
I'm assuming that they'll both be reworked after the MMR system is turned on and watched for a few months.
We'll probably also see a lot of balance changes if that MMR system works well since the matches against equally skilled players will highlight the imbalances in the game.
All speculation of course 🥥
-
More letters like this voicing their concerns in a constructive manner from more people on the forums might actually create a positive change.
I hope more people write open letters like this about the concerns they personally have for the game.

So - here's where I take you off your pseudo high ground with a swift roundhouse kick.
I had legacy. On all 4 original killers, and the first 4 survivors (everyone except Nea). I also lost it. So I actually understand it.
People who earned it, it was MINIMUM 200 hours, per character, of grinding, to get full legacy. Back then, there was no way to verify who got what like there is now. Those are metrics they didn't have before. I'd rather not have my legacy back then have people like you given it for free.
I understand the plight far more than you do. So knock off your arrogant crap.
"I'd rather not have my legacy back than have people like you given it for free"

I don't necessarily think it's being lazy if they do the same design for everyone, because they're doing unique outfits for DeathSlinger and Claudette.. I just don't think I'll ever see anyone wearing the crowns after the event is over because people usually end up getting an outfit for the people they play, and not wearing the default hair..
That's a fair point about Claudette and Ds.
But consider if the crowns are lazy when you see the Spirit's version...
-
It's a new headpiece because they'd have to create a completely new cosmetic slot for every character.
With all the work that would go into that, there's no way they're doing that unless they could sell even more cosmetics at exorbitant prices to recoup the cost of creating it.
Basically a lazy way to implement a new cosmetic idea that could be copy/pasted for every character instead of actually creating something unique for them like the hallowed blight.

You must be new here.
