No thanks, I don't want to hear someone's background music, or someone elses mum yelling in the background while I'm playing. Not to mention I rather doubt BHVR could disable party chat, they have no control over external programs.

just hahaha , have u ever meet hacker ???
I play on ps4 so its a lot harder to hack. There have been a few suspected cases of Lag switching but it's immensely difficult to prove that it isn't just bad internet. I get that its frustrating but a ticket is your only way to go.

thank's . i'm new here hahaha. just too stress
It's all good, but as @Sairek has said, nobody on the forums will assist you with a ban, not even devs, as bans aren't discussed on the forums and the thread will simply be closed. Follow the advice he gave you and you should be fine. Good luck.

Please remove the links and the picture, naming and shaming is not allowed on the forums. If you have a complaint you have to submit a ticket. You're only going to get yourself into trouble this way.

During the game play i just ignore it. If you try to get me to judge the butt olympics at the gate when you have already won....I'll be turning around and denying you those last few points by not smacking your butt on the way out, especially since i rarely care about BP
Survivors know its an insult, and saying otherwise is just asking killers to pretend to be stupid.
Have to admit, hearing them noise spam me for 5 minutes in an attempt to get me back to the gate IS hilarious....desperate much?
-
Yet again, just no. If you want to stop gen rush, think up further objectives. As i said literally an hour ago in another "Anti gen rush" thread, punishing survivors for doing their objective is just not the way to go. I'd love to see something different added to the survivor process that might lengthen the game, but all this will do is cause survivors to immerse uselessly around the map until they can do a gen without a severe penalty.
For working on 2 gens at the same time, you are asking for an effect on par with tier 3, 4 injured survivors thanataphobia. (correct me if I'm wrong, but last time i checked those were the stats)
I'm all for finding ways to extend the game, i truly am, but i feel strongly that this isnt the way to go.
-
The solution to gen rush should NEVER be to punish survivors for doing their objective. Period. I'm not adverse to more content to be added in that would give survivors more to do, but a punishment for doing the one thing required to escape...no.
-
Fair enough. Take care and good luck!
-
NOED is fine, Adrenaline is fine. People need to stop calling every perk that doesn't work for THEIR side a crutch perk, and just own up to their own failings. NOED activated? You failed to do the totems. Adrenaline activated? You failed to stop the gens. I am so sick and tired of watching both sides pick at every aspect of this game the second it gives an advantage to the other side. We need to start taking our wins and losses with some dignity and stop finding ways to blame it on the other sides perks/addons/items/powers. Complaining that it isn't fair is a huge contribution to the bitterness and toxicity in this game from both sides, there seems to be this air of...forgetting this is a game.
I'll admit, I've been gaming since I was 12, I'm now edging very close to my 40's, so perhaps I'm a little old fashioned in my thinking, but i see difficult aspects of a game as a challenge.
NOED...I run a utility build that often includes small game, and occasionally a map. I'm not saying that's what people HAVE to do, but pointing out that I choose to do this in order to keep NOED off the table, and if i fail, then i can always hunt the damn totem down when its Activated. It is not a guaranteed win for the killer, they still have to hunt the survivors, close the hatch, hook and protect their hooks. If you throw yourself at a hooked survivor without thinking it through, that's your own fault,
Adrenaline...Literally only activates if the survivors do all the gens or the hatch is closed, and before you all cry "But Gen Rush!" Do you truly and honestly expect survivors to go slow at the only set objective they have in the game? Doing totems is a choice, purposely getting into a chase is a choice, doing gens is not. They get done or eventually the team dies. I know that killers would sure as s**t have something to say about being asked not to build up a snowball momentum because it makes the game harder for survivors.
I do not consider any of these perks to be "Cheap", how you play is how you play and there will always be a meta in any game you play. You take one away, and other will fall into place to pick up the slack, that's just the way it works. Asking people to not use strong perks is just asking them to handicap themselves for your benefit. That's not a challenge, that's just tailor made winning.
Please bear in mind this is all based on my OPINION, I don't ever claim my personal beliefs to be fact.

Ur the first surv I've heard say this, thank u I really do like how u went into details, I really do wish more people were like this especially for being I Billy main myself I get alot of hate messages 😂 but there are times I get messages saying gg and ur good and that makes me smile so thank u kind person and I hope u win ur next match against a Billy main
You are most welcome, a little objectivity goes a long way. Another reason I always promote playing both sides, even if its just practising in Kill your Friends. My friends and I actually spend a lot of time in KYF, trying out all the killers and different variations of survivor perks. It's a no pressure way to test things. I'm still horribly abysmal with billy, but that hasn't stopped me trying.
-
I'll be honest, Billy makes me shudder and cry a little inside, especially if he has ruin, because I know I'm in for a tough time.....
....If I'm not completely on the ball!
Yes Billy is tough, yes sometimes it feels like he's the roadrunner on crack, and yes, he can snowball you like no other...but it takes skill. See that billy turning the corner like a formula one car? That actually takes practice, his speed is an advantage, but if his player doesn't make the right adjustments, he's headbutting trees like nobodies business. If the survivor is good at tight loops and running into crowded with objects areas, its a royal pain to get through it and still keep that chainsaw revved.
I loose in a lot of Billy games, but the ones where I manage to get out by the skin of my teeth, the ones where I'm part of an amazing team save during the EGC...those are freaking rewarding as hell!
Maybe I'm weird, or maybe i just try really hard to be objective about both sides, but I'd take the wet-your-pants near misses and edge of your seat escapes against difficult killers, over skipping on out of the gates 8 out of ten matches any day.
You certainly don't have to agree with me, but personally i think he's pretty okay. I can't really comment on his addons as i haven't looked into them with any real depth, but i still love his zoom zoom...even if it does make me want to burrow into the dirt beneath me to get away.

..That's the point.
If the traps just just 'Boo!' and you could ignore them, they'd be pretty useless. They're meant to disorient you by grabbing your camera.
Pretty much this, hag is also slower than a good portion of killers which i believe is another reason they added disorientation. Hence why i love urban when it comes to hag games. It's pretty much best to assume nowhere is safe, since really good hag players like to trap in unexpected places as well as the usual gens and pallets.

Moris have a counter, simply don't go down, not sarcastic that's it. If the survivor are good enough they can win against a mori. Yet, even if they cuck themselves up with a three gen situation, they can still get their sweet second chance and win the game, and differently from moris, they don't have to bring keys in the match, so that the opponent know what he's facing, they can find it randomly.
Keys have a counter. Simply kill them first or bring franklins.
Honestly I don't care if mori's and keys stay or go, I rarely use either. But your argument works both ways.
-
I feel you have contradicted yourself here just a little. You want shorter queue times and in the same breath you want swf to have an indicator in the lobby. The latter will just lead to more lobby dodging from killers, and lobby hopping by swf who want to play with their friends without being dodged, which in turn will lead to longer queue times.
-
My biased opinion?
A lot of the people on these forums act like children and justify it by saying "But killer/survivor mains do it/started it" And this thread is just here to stir the pot a little more.
-
I'm....really confused by your last point. Most of the top streamers of DBD play a LOT of killer. Yes they play survivor too, but why wouldn't they? Why alienate half of your potential subscribers by not throwing in some survivor?
If anything, playing survivor shows they have an even better grasp of the game since having a solid idea of how survivor gameplay works, can only improve your killer game.
The fact that they include survivor play is not evidence of killer not being fun, it's a smart business decision if you're relying on subscribers to pay your bills.
Alternatively....and here's a crazy idea....maybe they don't believe they have to pick one side because they actually enjoy playing both?
-
I used to love campers in the days when everyone knew that waving on a hook meant, "Stay away and do gens" Now it seems to be confused with "Come get me"
No better revenge than hanging out on that hook for as long as possible so that the rest of my team could get several gens done in the time it takes me to die.
Never really had much trouble with the stairs thing tbh.
-
We should really start hiring the myth busters for this forum..
Ok, teabagging and rage quitting, yes these are toxic.
Hook camping....I'm assuming you mean people heading in for the hook the minute your back is turned. This is not toxicity, this is a survivors job. If they keep doing it, use it against them and down the unhooker. Otherwise move on. Personally i don't usually mind if they get an unhook, more points for me when I eventually hook them again!
Infinite looping...Again, not toxic. It's the survivors job and often their only means of defence if caught, is to loop you. If i find myself on a loop i know I'm not going to win, i head off and go back to patrol gens because 9 times out of 10, the really good loopers are there to distract you while the rest do gens.
Gen rush...not toxic, literally the survivors main task in order to escape. People sit in front of gens all the time, they get better at skill checks, and they are under no obligation whatsoever to slow down for you. As i mentioned in a previous post, it is the killers job to maintain map pressure.
BT camping...the whole point of BT is to achieve a risky unhook when the killer is nearby. Not toxic.
Gen camping...this is the silliest of the bunch. If a survivor is on a gen while you are near or in a chase....whack them then whack the gen. If you leave them there, then it's on you. NOT TOXIC.
As for the comments about tunnelling and face camping. Go for it! They are not toxic either. Though if you don't like getting gen rushed then i would say that face camping isn't the best option.

Or you can just play, reach whatever rank you can reach and get games with players of a similar skill level and ignore rank because it's worthless anyway
I was more alluding towards his desire to get the gatekeeper achievement. I couldn't give a rats fart in a tin whistle about rank lol I agree with your sentiment to a degree however.
-
You have several choices in this game. You can pay for dlc, or you can use shards. You can gather the perks you need from the shrine. You can use other killers and/ or other perks in order to secure your success. Others have done it. Yes it is harder, but the choices are there and they are your own to do with as you will.
-
Pretty sure a 5 minute search on youtube will present several cases that would debunk this theory.
-
You don't get to dictate how other people play. It's really as simple as that.
You can ######### about it, you can rant on the forums, but that's about it. People will do things their way and you will do things your way. You have reasons for not using self care just as the have reasons for using it.
Blaming self care users for people for losing matches is ridiculous, there are three other survivors present, take responsibility for your own actions. Some people don't want to gen rush and choose to play the cautious game.
You might not like it, but it's not up to you to decide whether a perk is worthwhile for OTHER people to use.
-
Yet another "This is fact because I say it is" post
-
Okay, first of all, body blocking by the hook, much like camping and tunnelling, are annoying and yet legitimate play styles. We might not like them, they can make winning difficult, but they are part of the gameplay and quite punishable both by slugging and using certain perks such as mad grit.
Secondly Generators. This is the survivor goal, this is literally what has to be done to escape, and most survivors have been doing the damn things for months, meaning they have become practised at skill checks and knowing when best to strike, such as getting that risky middle gen done asap and doing their best not to get three genned. People improve by time and it is not realistic to expect them to do it slowly because it annoys you. I'm not saying it to be mean, because It isn't in my nature, but gen pressure is the killers job. Getting gens done quickly so as to expedite an escape before being killed, is the survivors.
Toolboxes do not instantly repair generators, even with spare parts. But just as killers have perks and addons that aid them towards their objectives, so do survivors. You also have ways and means of dealing with items brought in, such as franklins, and perks to regress generators you find. Again, this is your job and it's unrealistic to expect people not to bring these things into game. I don't expect a killer to nerf themselves by eschewing tactics, perks or addons because its frustrating for the other side, nor do i expect this from survivors.
If you want map control, you TAKE map control. All i see on these forums, from both sides, is the expectation that the other side should be nerfed or handicapped when something gets difficult, instead of people learning and adapting. It IS hard work, it DOES take trial and error, but to be perfectly honest, the more people cry out that this, that and the other is unfair, the tighter you draw the noose around this game.
Survivors cannot play without killers, Killers cannot play without survivors, and people need to realise that the more people play, the better they get at the game. I see so many childish statements of "Git Gud" from both sides, and yet the minute people actually do master part of the game...well lets call in the nerf police because suddenly getting good isn't fair anymore.
I sympathise with the OP, because some games do seem like an absurd lesson in frustration, but that is unfortunately how we learn, how we get better. I'd rather lose 10 games if it teaches me how to master certain killers, than cry out for changes to be made so that i get an easier life, and the same with playing survivor. I don't have a particular flag to wave for either side, and my post history will support that.

-
Yup. I've had the body blocking thing, not to mention teams of idiots running up and blinding me with streamers while I'm working on gens. At times like that i just go find the killer and let them chop me. Screw hanging around in a pointless match.
-
You do you friend. You might get a few incidents where the survivors will take the p**S, but if it works for you and you are enjoying yourself, just ignore the projected negativity you might get on here. It seems there is no forum post where someone doesn't want to spread their bitterness.
I'm all for anyone trying for less toxicity in this game. Good luck!

To be fair the killer doesn't get all that many points without hooking people
Pretty much this. If I am lucky enough that a killer actually wants to farm, regardless of what my team mates do at the end, once the exit gate is open, i make sure to lead the killer down to the basement to final hook me, because I'm aware a killer doesn't get as much as they give in a farming situation.
I also understand the risk, that if I accept an invitation to farm, the killer might change their mind and that's just too bad for me.

Thank you for trying to help out in making a more positive atmosphere , as for Billy, his isnt bad but perhaps a little more detailing on his cutting through the survivor would be nice, I could go either or with his mori since it does fit his character
I like the concept for his Mori, and it is fitting, but it looks a little silly when the survivor doesn't actually fall apart into two pieces.
-
I love going up against stealth killers, gen grabs scare the crap out of me but i'll still giggle while on the way to the hook. These look pretty interesting. I'll be sure to pack fresh pants at the start of every trial when the go live.
-
Honestly, I don't really get up in arms about either one. Maybe it's different on console, or maybe i have just been super lucky in the two years i have been playing, but I just don't see the amount of Insta heals as some people have been seeing, and certainly not a 4 man insta heal team.
As for Mori's, they don't really bother me unless it's a BP weekend or something, and then only because they seem to come out every game.
Personally I've never really been one to get angry over someone using an offering or item that's legitimately in the game.
-
Come on guys, can't we just take a cool thread for what it is instead of using it as an excuse to argue over a mechanic? Give it a rest or maybe start your own thread if you're that passionate about it?
Personally I'd like to see Billy detaching limbs, or perhaps actually cutting someone in half, his animation is a bit of a let down, since it Implies, but doesn't actually deliver. I mean, I've seen far worse in 18 certified games, surely it wouldn't be that hard? Or am i being ignorant over how hard it might be to mess with character models?
-
I'm not going to argue any of the other points, because they are subjective. However, as the devs themselves have stated time and time again, regardless of whether you like it or not, it is officially NOT considered cheating to play in SWF with voice comms. Literally.
So stop perpetuating that particular myth please.

some days ago i made a nea friend by just t-bagging as soon as we spawned together, it looked like a mating call for survivors, so #notallneas
This is probably the only time anyone will ever see me teabag, either as a hello or a thank you for healing. I main Nea, and really haven't felt myself turning into Mrs Hyde the Amazing Toxic Asshat just by playing her. But I suppose there are some that have watched certain idiotic streamers main her while encouraging Toxicity, because apparently, much like sex, Toxicity sells.
-
I personally wouldn't want the cross play option, but I'd be happy if others who did, got the chance as long as the people who wished to opt out had a way to do so.
-
Why do any of us buy anything in game? None of it is real, none of it actively helps us in any way shape or form, but we do it anyway.
Some do it to support the game, others do it because they want to look fabulous while wielding that murder boner, some do it because they like to make their own goals in game, and outfits that can be bought by shards allow that.
The third option is usually my main motivation. I like watching my shard counter going up and deciding which killer gets to flaunt their new look this time.
A further question could be, what does it really matter if you aren't the one paying for it or expected to give up your shards for it?
-
5 gens can easily be done in LESS than 9 minutes in an average game if map pressure isn't maintained, even with the full extent of Thanataphobia's top tier in play, which only reduces action speed by 14% I believe.
To get that 14% you would have to have all survivors in an injured or hooked state. You don't really list the specifics of your game so I can't really explain how they got the gens done quickly, other than you may have been facing a coordinated team, didn't have enough people injured, or weren't patrolling gens enough.
I'm not trying to be mean in pointing these things out, but Thanataphobia does not increase gen repair speed or there would already be a massive uproar about it, since its a useful perk when paired with other powers/addons/perks, and I suspect a bug would have been reported by now.
-
That's a terrible idea!
I should totally be the benny hill theme!
-
@Orion said:
It's not just you. No killer has ever threatened my family and children, for example. Only survivors have done that.
Lucky you. I've had everything from wishing life threatening diseases, to threats of physical and sexual violence upon myself.
From both sides
I don't BM, i don't use what most people call "Crutch Perks" if i can help it, I do my best to be fair in crappy situations such as multiple DC's. But god help me if I escape and the killer is having a bad day, or if I 4k and the survivors think i cheated because of reasons A through to Z
Personally I don't care which side is worse, it's all bad if you have to threaten or belittle people over a video game. Neither side are angels, and this line of thinking...
"Grow thicker skin because that's how games are these days"
...is a pretty poor way to look at things.
-
I've actually found myself having a lot more fun playing KYF lately to be honest. 0 to no chance of toxicity, a relaxed environment to test out builds, power sets and addons, just friends giggling their way through most of the matches. I don't have to worry that my perk set, items, powers or addons might offend someone because they are 'Toxic', i get advice from more experienced killers and survivors which in turn improves my game for when I want to dabble in public matches again. It's the same game with much of the stress removed to be replaced with some of the fun I'd been missing.
Though I can understand how that might not be enough for people who want to play competitively or for actual BP. It might be something to consider however. :)
-
Nothing wrong with taking a break now and then. The game might get better, it might not but your enthusiasm for playing again might one day suddenly be reignited, at least that's been my experience so far.
Not much I can say on the unfriendliness, people will be....well people when the safety of internet anonymity is involved.
Some of us are nice, but i wholly understand how it can get very wearing.
-
Meh, you and I have very different reactions to DC's.
I usually play in a two man, we have a general rule that if there is more than one DC, we go find the killer and give ourselves up. If the killer wants to murder us, it's all good, we feel bad that they had to deal with DC's and hopefully they learn not all survivors are whiny entitled crybabies. Plus we don't really want to try doing 5 gens between the two of us.
If the killer wants to farm, fair enough, we farm and after opening the gates we'll lead the killer down to the basement so they can get at least two death hooks. Neither of us cares much about BP.
Is our way the right way? Who knows, but its certainly better than expecting the killer to do things our way when they don't have to, and FAR better than wishing them crappy games because they didn't do what you wanted.
Made a few good killer friends along the way too.

Back in the day we had to play games from the start when we ran out of continues.
We had to improve to beat the game.
Instead of taking the time to improve themselves or their gameplay, these days they resort to forum whining.
Great now you made me feel old!
-
"What i say is FACT and anyone who disagrees with me even with proven in game experience is WRONG!"
I'd laugh if i didn't just face palm so hard i think the front of my head might have ended up in Australia.
-
If survivors are wiping your ass on a silver platter, perhaps changing your tactics is a better option rather than "Nerf survivors"
Other killers manage it well enough.
-
Justify the DC however you like, but it's still rather pathetic.
Nurses, even good nurses have counters. Just because you can't work them, dosn't mean they don't exist. They are hard to play around but not impossible. If i wanted easy, I'd go join Butters and play Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
If i get caught, I'm not f**ng over my team or the killer by DCing or dying on hook.
-
I have to be honest here. I don't really bring keys into game, and avoid them on the bloodweb if possible, mostly because murphy's law dictates that when i bring a key into a trial, I never get a whiff of the hatch, or i die early due to being unlucky or my own stupidity.
However, with just plunderers alone, I've found more than one pink key in chests in a single trial. At one point I found 3 of the damn things.
Honestly i don't mind if other people use them, though I can understand why killers find them as frustrating as a survivor might find a Mori. However when you are getting more than one pink key out of chests in a single trial....maybe that needs looking into.
I've always maintained people should be allowed to use addons and items as they see fit in a game, even if i choose not to use them myself, because they are a game mechanic. But the drop rate in chests can get a little silly.
