They are the next killer in line but we don't know when.
We don't know what is going to get changed. They probably are still thinking about it themself.
And yes your question was answered swiftly but you probably didn't like the answer
-
Wonder if it's someone else or id this person seriously made 3 accounts to complain about this

I didn't think mine was too terrible🧍
No i quite liked yours, especially the Legion changes
There is one issue i spotted where with your new grim embrace that a doctor could hold the game hostage for a very long time to infinitly if a ruin totem is close to the one gen. Just shock the gen over and over again without actually hitting anyone.
I'm not trying to shoot anyone's ideas down. The ideas are good. It's just funny how quickly you find problematic stuff or loopholes in these first drafts. I'm 100% sure if i made a list someone would find atleast one big issue or oversight.
So it makes me apreciatte the devs as they have to go through the trouble of making cool ideas into reality while trying to find and remove those loopholes. I bet it's not easy with how much stuff there is in the game now
-
Threads like this never fail to make me apreciate the devs we have now
-
Obviously when they get back they have to restart the week
-
Have we come to the point that we demand nerfs for perks that have yet to be released?

Hex Pentimento: The Hex that requires Survivors to cleanse.
Boon Totems: A mechanic that encourages Survivors to not cleanse.
Boy, real thought went into that Killer hex, huh? 'Let's add a hex based on Cleansing at literally the same time we make Cleansing outdated. That will make Killers happy! 🙃'
Good thing TotH completely fixes that issue.

Old Ruin considerably slowed down survivors working on a gen.
New Ruin saves the killer the kick animation.
Unless you faced survivors that could hit greats
Then it saved like 3-4% those greats would have gave them. If it even lasted that long

The problem is people not really understanding what a matchmaking tool is
First off people are hyperfocussing on skill. Mmr isn't and was never meant to be a skill calculator. There is more to matchmaking then just estimate skill
At the end of the match mmr doesn't ask "how skilled was this person?" It asks "should this person face stronger or weaker opponents?"
For example a legion who can kill everyone and have 12 hooks? Should they face stronger or weaker opponents? Well obviously stronger they crushed them.
A bubba who one hooks everyone by facecamping them and get 4 kills. Nobody is going to deny that this didn't take a lot of skill. Still though, Should they face stronger or weaker opponents? Well stronger obviously, they need to face survivors that know what to do against a camper and rush gens as best as possible.
A claudette hiding all match doing nothing and escaping of their teammates sweat. You can't go lower in skill then that. But again. Should they face weaker or stronger killers? Cause for me it sounds that they need to face a killer that doesn't lose a 3v1 and will punish her if she doesn't pull her weight.
Nurse with 9 hooks and 1 kill. Should they face stronger or weaker opponents? Well they obviously crushed at chases but dbd isn't just chases. And with 9 hooks having only 1 kill means they did a horrible job with their hook distribution. They exceled at the micro but couldn't be worse at the macro so honestly they should face weaker ones untill they learn or care to target better
Second people are focussing to much on single match results. Classic example of the 5 gen chase into facecamp. In that one instance mmr is wrong. It thinks you should face a weaker killer when you obviously should face a stronger one.
Thing is that mmr doesn't work on single instances. It works on avarages. And in my experience and i think most peoples if i can believe the forums a survivor that runs for 5 gens most often then not is the survivor that runs out of the gate with bt, ds, 2 people bodyblocking and a person waiting to open the gate at a moments notice. Not to mention that only 1/4 survivors can be the 5 gen chase person.
On avarage that 5 gen chase person should escape way more often then they lose. So while in that one instance mmr isn't correct. It evens out.
And third people are getting angry at the wrong thing. Matches have become more difficult and they blame mmr for it. Thing is that that matchup would have been equally difficult without mmr.
Mmr just made those matchups more common for competant people. If you want mmr gone then what you are saying is that you want your difficult match to be given to a weaker killer and take their easy matchup. Or that you are okay beating an opponent cause their teammates were outclasses. You can't call that very skillfull too. Or does skill suddenly not matter anymore at that point?
Mmr is doing an adequate job at what it's suppose to. Not perfect mind you but pretty well. It just highlighted the balance problems at high level again and everyone is shooting the messenger while they should be focussing their complaints on that imbalance. Not the matchmaking
-
Just going to be spitballing here. Most of these are probably not going to be good or well thought out
Killer perks
Hex: Huntress Lullaby
Now always hides the sound of skill checks. Stacks now increase the penalty of the skill check
The payoff just isn't there for it being a hex perk. This makes it usefull while still making it better the longer the match goes on
Dead man switch
Change the trigger condition to when a generator stops being repaired
Just for artist shenanigans. Allows you to deny the gen blocking by doubling up on it and removing the crows one at a time
Hex: Noed
cleansing a dull totem now makes the survivor scream and reveal their position.
Gives noed something before end game but more importantly gives the survivors a heads up it's in play so doing bones doesn't become a gamble
Brutal strength
now has 30% increased breaking speed
Fire up
Increase to 6% per token
20% just isn't relevant in almost all scenario's. Wraith can get to 60% breaking speed with his addons and uncloak and it isn't that strong
Overcharge
Now applies to all regressing gens. Has a cooldown of 30 seconds when it triggers
Makes it easier to get use out of it while adding a cooldown to stop it from being nutty with ruin
Coup de grace
downing a survivor during an extended lunge refunds the token
coup de grace bassically means finishing blow so this fits really well thematically. Also would reduce the awkward can't swing now or i love my tokens thing this perk has
Survivor perks
Boon: CoH
Reduce bonus healing speed to 33% (healing others 12 seconds, healing self 24 seconds)
Snuffing a boon now makes the entity block that totem for 60 seconds
Feels like those would be more fair (and rounded) numbers. The entity blocking is just to give an answer to the real trouble totem spots. I realise this also nerfs a mediocre and a bad perk but with boons only looking to get better with future releases i think it's fair
Dead hard
If the killer didn't attack during the duration of dead hard you stop moving for 0.5 seconds. Dead harding over a beartrap deactivates the bear trap
we know from challenges and validation that the game keeps track if the killer swings near you so this should work. You can still throw pallets so this won't remove dead hard for distance completely but it will be more situational and require a bit more thought. I don't think allowing bear traps to catch you during a dead hard is a good idea with basement trapper being a thing but it really shouldn't turn trappers power against him
Corrective Action
At max stacks it will turn a good skillcheck of another survivor into a great skill check and lose 2 tokens
At a bit more utility to this training wheel perk
Technician
Removes regression penalty
why does a training wheel perk have a downside again?
Headon
highlights the locker you are in to other survivors
Makes it a bit easier to pull of in solo
Autodictact
Increase odds of skillchecks
a real fun perk but rng can screw you so hard
Could probably keep going but let's leave it at that for now. I'm not going to pretend that i know enough to make base changes

And thats, my friend, a great idea, now i will have to lvl up artist, but thats not a huge problem for me.
Maybe i will try diffirent totem builds, but somehow i didn't really thought about them
It's pretty fun.
Still hexes so you are going to have to take the odd match where most of your build is gone in 3-5 minutes vs boonless survivors but overal pretty good.
It just really messes CoH up.
TotH makes blessing a real time sink and blessing a hex takes ages. Ruin will make making trips to the safe boon and healing really costly and devour will completly bypass the heal they did. And pentimento is a nice fall back in case they quickly try to cleanse your hexes.
-
I have had decent succes with ruin, TotH, pentimento and devour.
A bit risky cause it's all hexes but it really messes booners up and slows the game down a lot.
-
I like agitation more cause it can sometimes get you cheeky hits but if the goal is to beat boil over probably iron grasp
-
The first level of bloodlust can come in clutch sometimes but i wouldn't miss tier 2 and 3
-
Not being able to walk out the gate vs a stbfl gamer would be pretty funny
-
The title makes it sound he's a hostage
-
It's a perk that fixes itself sadly.
The joy of haha killer can't hook me quickly dies out if it results in 4 minutes on the ground everytime
So people stop doing it after the novelty runs out. You'll see it from time to time used by people who want to upset the killer but it won't happen enough to be a problem.
That's my prediction atleast
-
This post really highlights a very big flaw of the community
In that when people complain about a perk that others look at it in a vacuum instead of looking at the specific scenario it was complained about.
Boil Over in a vaccuum still isn't good. But with the right build and map offering it becomes problematic.
Not boil over on it's own. But Boil Over in that specific scenario
The same happens with dead hard and noed
When someone complains about dead hard you'll always have the wise guy say "just bait it out" not realising the complaint is about being able to make all the risky plays in the world while always having a safety net of distance available.
That's when dead hard becomes problematic. Not when >20 hour people faceplant into a wall
When someone complains about noed you'll hear a 100th times "just do bones" when those people don't realise doing bones is not an option vs a camping killer with a passive gen stal build.
That's when noed becomes problematic. Not in a normal 10-15 minute games
People need to stop looking at things in a vaccuum and start looking at the specific scenarios they are complained about

He's a convicted pedophile how did I make that up
Salva pleaded guilty to lewd and lascivious conduct, oral sex with a person under 14, and procuring a child for pornography. He was sentenced to three years in state prison, of which he served 15 months.
Nvm, I'm an idiot
I thought you were talking about someone else

He filmed himself molesting a 7 or 8 year old boy and somehow didn't get life in prison.
Got any sources on that.
Cause it sounds to me you just made that up on the spot
-
While i don't think he was completely right he isn't completely wrong either.
If you get 1 kill with 9 hooks then no one is going to deny that your chase game was on point. DbD isn't just about chases though.
There is a macro level of play too, Who do you target? Which hooks do you choose that allow you to defend multiple objectives? etc etc...
In the 9 hook 1 kill game while the chases might have been incredible, the hook distribution can't be worse then that.
You excelled at the micro part of the game but did horrible at the macro part. So i honestly think it's fair that that killer goes down in rank and faces easier survivors untill they learn how to more effectively target survivors.
You don't necessarily have to hardcore tunnel but if you don't have a kill by hook 5-6 you are doing something wrong if you want to play to win
-
Clown is Smokin tier
-
Dropping them off the high place manually and waiting 20-30 seconds for the wiggle bar to reset is the only soft counter that doesn't relly on perks that i found
-
@MaTtRoSiTy said:
It should never have gone live in the first place, at the very least they should have put a hook at the top of the library and this would prevent this exploiting of a broken perk. I had team mates in solo who sent the killer to RPD and abused it in this way, I escaped and didn't even try to save them at the end
Yeah i agree. I'm not really trying to say boil over is fine.
Just sharing atleast something you can do about it untill they fix it

I guess we can delete freddy too then.
To op: mostly hate towards the franchise.
Also a whole lot of people who don't want to feel old that don't realise that the child fandom of fnaf has already grown up. Those 12 year olds are turning 20 this year

I've actually just learned that there is a 50% healing speed penalty on self heals now. I do think that it does make the perk way more balanced; if i'm understanding everything correctly.
That was always there. It's the reason why healing yourself was slower then healing others
-
Yeah i miss it.
I know it wasen't the most liked map but i enjoyed it
-
This is the reason why D'Vorah kissed you
-
Chaining tiles,
people call it hold w but it's effectively chaining tiles.
When she puts a crow down she slows down for a bit. That time most of the time allows you to run to the next tile.
Same thing you would do against a trapper or hag who puts down a trap. And unlike them the birds don't stay forever.
Windows of Oppertunity helps a lot with this.
Also flashlights kill birbs but that's mean and you don't want to upset poor bird lady

Sadako was always evil, it is imposible to add her as survivor. She was never innocent :)
Who says survivors need to be goody 2 shoes, i wouldn't mind a evil survivor :>
But yeah Sadako is obviously going to be the killer or it would be kinda dissapointing

I dont care for consoles at all. This game is meant for PC. I played Nurse once as i started and after that 4 years not. Then i started doing an experiment on how hard she really is to learn. I played her a month for 2-3 games a day. I got easily into purple ranks. the following month i looked how far i can get in killer ranks. It was already felt "easy" enough to play against regular redranks, and not get stomped. So its really not htat hard even if you dont play much killer at all.
First sentence was all i needed to see

That means youre probably a really bad killer player if it took you that much games to even get one kill done.
Or just not experienced with nurse? Or have you considered they might play on console where nurse isn't nearly as much of a powerhouse.
pretty weird to call someone a bad killer when they do poorly with the one killer that's completely different from all the rest
-
And her Mori leaves statues of the survivors
-
it's a horror themed game
And it does a pretty good job at it
Ofcourse not after 100+ hours but no game is going to be scary after that amount of time

15th of February should be the date. This would be 3 weeks after the Midchapter-Patch.
Sweet, thanks for the answer

Nuts, i ignoren't it
-
Does anybody know roughly when the ptb would start?
-
I mean wouldn't the problem just start again after someone dead on that hook? Or has that Jeff perk that breaks it for 3 minutes.
-
This thread did not age well
-
Where have you seen the devs be mad about player count dropping?
Seems mostly to be players that call doom and gloom everytime the playerbase drops even the slightest amount.
-
I'm quite excitted what they'll do with it.
They said they were going to introduce psychological horror into it so i'm curious
-
That's an odd thing to ask
First of noed isn't basekit
Second how would it even help? Most of the time when a killer wins with noed it's by slugging the whole team. A key won't save you in that situation
-
I enjoy playing her.
I think she's pretty good. Not S-tier or anything but pretty good

agree that should be changed, also I wish there would be more oblivious or undetactable perks for Killers, they are not that good sure but its really fun playing with them around, for example I really love dark devotion, the idea of this perk is really fun but its just like dead mans switch very inconsistent, they either have to remove the obsession condition or increase the duration to 60 sec.
Same with pyramid head perks, I like the ideas but the conditions of the perks are all abit weird, not trail of torment though, that perk is actually pretty good and insanely underrated.
ToT is pretty good and works quite well on Legion seeing how when you attack in frenzy it's gone.
So you have the benifet of undetectable without it screwing with your power

Hello
Welcome to the forums
-
Wish they double downed on it.
Entity is not mad, just dissapointed
Entity thinks you did great, superstar!
Entity revels in your victory!
Entity high five
-
The double standert on "great height" saddens me.
For the archive achievement you need to drop 1,5 floors for it to count while boil over triggers on the smallest drop
-
Sadly not a bug and intended but i hope they change that
-
You know these things works better if you don't say what your intention is from the getgo
