From my last few games yes which probably explains all the complaints on hook grabs lol
Nice, good to know thanks ^^

Are hook grabs working again?

i'd say that's about the same as a bear trap going off.
Very rarely it happens, it designed for pressure, were as Mop girls condemn gives very little pressure and very little kills.
That comparrison doesn't really add up
Pig traps instantly kill you, doesn't matter where you are, where the killer is or whatever is happening in the match. Timer up is dead.
With condemned the killer still has to down you. If you are on deadhook you can ignore condemned entirely as it only saves a trip to the hook. Instant mori sounds powerfull but it's not really that powerfull.
Imo there should be atleast one fully condemned every match even if the survivors are fighting it. Especially with Sadako being mostly a m1 killer it really isn't that powerfull for it to be something that rarely happens.
One of my favorite suggestions i've seen here is when you use the tape to remove condemned all other survivors get 1 bar more.
-
Nobody ever said DbD is hockey. People who think that was said have a serious misunderstanding of how analogies work.
-
It depends.
Most of the time it will but if the one you killed is a lot higher mmr then you and the ones who escaped a lot lower it's probably possible to still go up in mmr

Except you're forgetting 1 thing, boons. It costs 10 seconds extra for a totem to be blessed. Since blessing totems is also slowed down, having Thrill being a hex is better than a non-hex.
Then the fact that it also protects other hexes significantly, making it extremely easy for some killers to patrol powerful hex setups if thrill wasn't a hex.
Thrill is just powerful enough to be a hex, there are too many things that get a massive buff by making thrill a non hex. The only way to make thrill a non-hex is for the effect to only apply to dull totems, and not affect boons.
That's true, thrill not being a hex does mean it will always be a hindrance to boon users. no matter what happens in a match
It already counters boons quite hard now.
Quick correction it takes 14 seconds longer to bless a totem with thrill at 5 stacks, 28 seconds longer to bless a hex. It bassicly doubles the time required at max stacks

Thrill makes cleansing and blessing longer, but only if your hex stays up. Its effect really isnt that strong, thana can do the same thing but also affects gens.
Being able to use thrill and not lose it would be far better. Hit and run killer? Use thrill so they waste more time booning COH
The extra totem means more time to cleanse everything.
I posted the math behind it in the other toth threat. In almost all scenario's it's worse. Just a case of the community not really thinking about what they are asking

How? You literally can't lose it early and it makes Plaything and Pentimento better. Now I'm curious :o
It's because it being a hex means there is a dummy totem that wastes more time
Take thrill with one other hex, there are 2 outcomes thril first or thrill last
With hex thrill that means
Thrill cleansed first for 28 seconds and other hex cleansed later for 14 seconds for a total of 42 seconds used
If the other hex is cleansed first it takes 28 seconds and they'll probably leave thrill be so a total of 28 seconds wasted
If thrill is a non-hex it will always take 28 seconds to cleanse the other hex.
Thrill with 2 other hexes
Hex thrill:
Thrill found first:
28 seconds for thrill 28 seconds for the other totems so 56 seconds in total to cleanse
Thrill found second
28 seconds for the first totem, 23.33 seconds for thrill and 14 for the last for a total of 65.33 seconds
Thrill found last and ignored
28 seconds for the first totem and 23.33 for the second for a total of 51.33 seconds
As a non hex it will always take 51.33 seconds
Thrill with 3 other hexes
Hex thrill
Thrill found first
28 seconds for thrill 42 seconds for the other totems so 70 seconds wasted in total
Thrill found second
28 seconds for first totem, 23.33 seconds for thrill and 28 for the remaining 2 means 79.33 seconds wasted total
Thrill found third
28 seconds for the first, 23.33 seconds for the second, 20 seconds for thrill and 14 for the last one means 85.33 seconds wasted total
Thrill found last and ignored
28 for the first, 23.33 for the second and 20 for the third for a total of 71.33 seconds wasted
As a non hex it's always 71.33 seconds
In almost all scenarios it's worse as a non hex. The change to lose it is more then made up for there being a dummy totem that also needs cleansing
The only time non hex thrill is better is with perks that create totems throughout the match like plaything or penti. And even then it's close as thrill also creates a hex they have to cleanse giving penti another target.

@Kira4Evr said:
Yea it got nerfed. And honestly, it should not be a Hex anymore
Outside of plaything and pentimento that create hexes during the match it would be worse as a non-hex
-
Reworked a bit ago
Doesn't give notifications anymore but they increased the slowdown a lot more.
Unpopular opinion and i'm probably going to get bashed for saying this but i think it's better then it used to be
-
I don't really understand why people want thrill to be a non-hex
Outside of plaything and penti that make totems during the match it's worse as a non hex then a hex
-
Okay i'm interested
-
The only underwhelming thing i see is that they didn't make holding a tape gain condomed at 24 seconds per stack for fluff reasons
-
I think 33% would be the sweet spot
12 seconds to heal others and 24 to heal yourself
-
Your CoH change doesn't really make sense. You can't have 25% healing buff and 32 second self heal. Those 2 are linked
Borrowed time change would make it useless. You can't reach a safe place in 5 seconds. The whole point is that you can reach a loop so you have a fighting chance. All it needs is it's collision removed
The decisive strike change wouldn't work either. Old Legion proved that. It's to easy to chase without the chasing triggering
-
Twins and freddy
Twins cause i just really don't like playing and Freddy cause of his rework

I absolutly love that new scourge perk

From my perspective Pentimento is a perk that should have existed two years ago where it could really shine. The game as it is now rewards survivors for a slight increase in time invest to bless totems rather than cleanse which ultimately means you may get one or two stacks if survivors are using their head.
As a killer I have more direct ways to handle survivors in terms of perks that are much more effective than Pentimento which relies on survivors to take an action. My games rarely have people who do totems even when I do run more than one hex perk and when I am playing survivor the first thing I tell every lobby is I have boon totems and usually I'm not the only person with boons so I've had a lot of games where one or two totems get cleansed usually at endgame while we just played slightly slower to bless over hexes which has rarely resulted in a loss so far.
That's my experience. Though, I can see it being something that absolutely eats up newer players who have the "break all the things" mindset cause funnily enough new players will do the dang bones!
I wouldn't really call it a slight time invest if it's doubling the time normally and quadruple the time with Thrill
If you afk for a minute blessing a hex vs a competant killer it usually means a loss
-
C3tooth cause their drawing are gorgious
-
She will show you a tv and nothing will happen
Then 7 days later the next game you play she will suddenly get you. No matter the killer
-
I'll sure to check it out but i'm in a small break noe so i probably won't play untill she is released
-
Worst experience in the game so far
-
I'm really hoping on a information based killer
Been a while since we had one of those

I would get such a jumpscare from a bubba appearing out of nowhere after carefully walking that white fragile thing over that i wouldn't even be mad

Incorrect. Twice as long to bless a hex, 28 seconds. A whopping 42 seconds with five stacks of Thrill of the Hunt at tier III.
56 seconds actually
50% slowdown is double the time
-
Deep down the entity isn't that bad.
Love the face in the first panel, so ecstatic about what she drew
-
Would be godlike vs a mint rag hag. Imagine them teleporting to a unhook that happened 10 seconds ago.
Pretty good against spirits or blights who come rushing every unhook.
I would probably use it
-
Wraith is probably the best at getting 3 tokens.
Plague is best at perserving tokens as green vomit doesn't consume them
And Legion uses it pretty well too if you can make good use of having one token

People use dead hard to dodge right into walls or away from loops constantly. It most certainly has bad uses that would have been good ones if they were used differently. Dead hard also does have counterplay (MOST times) by baiting it out, attacking with a short m1 instead of a lunge so they have no time to react, even some killers like wraith can tap their power to change their animation enough to scare survivors into using it early. Of course there are times where it can't be countered, but using it in those situations specifically is, in itself, a good play.
Nobody cares about the dead harders into walls and those in dead zones.
Give a 5 year old a two handed sword and they won't be able to lift it. Doesn't change the fact that a two handed sword is still a deadly weapon in the right hands.
You look at the highest levels of play to balance a asset in a game not at the lowest
https://youtu.be/X1p42KtZOCwthis video explains that concept pretty well

No, in that case the survivor played correctly, they knew they would have the extra distance so played accordingly. That’s not a “bad play”, that’s a good play.
An example of bad play with Dead Hard is using it for no reason in the open because a killer looked like maybe they would catch you or swing. Wasting a Dead Hard when it’s not needed is bad play.
And I say this as a killer main who thinks Dead Hard is overpowered and should probably be split into two separate perks, one that gives distance but not invulnerability and the other that lets you dodge an attack but give no distance.
The problem is that dead hard turned that bad play in a good play with little to no requirement and with little to no way for the opposition to change it.
That argument that dead hard used that way is good play doesn't mean much.
If they made a perk that allowed you to open the exit gates at any time without the gens being done and you opened it as soon as you spawn without doing gens then that's technically also a good play. You didn't bother with gens cause you know you had a perk to circumvent it.
I don't think i need to point out that that wouldn't mean that perk would be okay.

@Phasmamain said:
It’s doesn’t reward bad play all the time. A lot of survivors play greedy with it on purpose which in that case is a good play
It isn't playing greedy if you have a safety net. It's called playing greedy cause if the killer calls it they should get the hit.
If you greed a pallet and the killer calls it but dead hard denies the hit then you played bad but dead hard saved you.
The fact that survivors can play greedy at all times without fear of punishment is exactly the problem with it
-
It's not good but it's nowhere close to the worst
Atleast it doesn't work against you like Unnerving presence or Dying light
-

I am mind gaming the pallet they already left.
Always an awkward when you find out you've been looping a pallet for a minute all by yourself.
It's always just hoping they actually ran away and aren't laughing at you from behind a tree somewhere
-
Personally i think it's the worst perk in the game.
It boost the survivors at the very start of the match
Because it only triggers on non obsession hooks it wants you to chase non obsessions. But if you do only 2 people are affected by it. And if you want to affect 3 people by chasing the obsession the perk isn't growing.
It's just a win more perk, that makes it harder to be winning in the first place
I would rather pick monstrous shrine, atleast that doesn't buff my opponents
-
It honestly doesn't matter.
Survivors should never get the speed boost without getting hit in the process.
You choose where the yellow gas goes and you have to be in it to recieve the boost. If the survivors can ever be in it without you being there to instantly smack them then what are you doing?

I dont think you need 60k options because realistically, people are only gonna pick and play the currently most powerful powers. Like out of the hudreds of perks currently available, no one is running Appraisal. Theres so many unused perks in the game already because everyone wants Ruin, or Devour, or NOED
Because the mayority is using only thr meta doesn't mean everybody does.
Also this isn't stopping that. People are still going to only run the 1 or 2 best perks. Not to mention how you completely nerf characters into the ground.
How are you going to buff wraith if you force him to use predator, bloodhound and shadowborn so he doesn't fall into obscurity? Same with Twins.
This is just a whole lot of work to make the game worse imo
-
If this happened i'd probably stop playing. I like variety in my builds and what this does is bassically reduce your options. By a lot.
You go from 61,324,560 possible builds on a killer to 87
-
I want survivors who are able to unhook themself to do a backflip
-
That loading tooltip was in the game when it was first released i think. That's why it emphasises bloodpoints as that was the victory condition in the past.
I wouldn't read to much into them, they are outdated.
Another example is that one tooltip that says how quickly you blind killers is based on addons but that has been removed and you always blind at the same speed now
-
If people can do this why aren't we seeing minotaurs with oni's head?
-
Looks like i'm not much
What? No i can't beat that, i just have low self esteem
