  • I hate the yamaoke maps

Atleast in corn you can kinda follow scratchmarks

Everything that enters the bamboo just dissapears

  • A lot of them do indeed, just walk away from the hook and she will most likely not find you if you have iron will

They waste so much time doing that then

  • I always try to put on a bloodpoint offering but tbh i just forget a lot

I'll have one for my first game and them forget about it for the rest

  • Inb4 swf with coms reports you for using third party programs to aid with your game

  • I think it even says on the perk itself that healing bonus is capped at a 100%

  • Hag already has a short terror radius, so makong it even shorter makes her very sneaky

  • And yet Legion who can get in a simular situation (survivors not healing and all injured) is concidert the worst in the game

Makes you think if they are not better then people give them credit

  • It depents once you can start pressuring survivors gen's have a tendency to grind to a halt

The problem is getting that pressure started, sometimes the entire game feels like everything lies on how fast you can do the first chase

Especially with low mobility killers on a large map

That's why ruin is so good, it aplies even the slightest amount of pressure when you need it the most

I never once said ranks didn't matter. He had a disconnect. It was 3v1, with none of the survivors using incredible meta perks that would help them against a Nurse in any way. This Nurse had full meta perks (including ruin, which...OOF, running ruin on Nurse). It's not so much about ranks not mattering, but more about this guy had every advantage at his disposal and still failed.

You do realise nurse is one of the hardest killers in the game right?

When you are learning her it's completly understandable to equip strong perks like ruin

Also it misses the point entirly, yes he had everything he needed to win, but he made mistakes cause he's rank 12, then he should go against survivors that equally make mistakes, not rank 1's that usually know every tile like the back of their hand

  • It doesn't even need to be that much

Like a 5% discount per level of prestige would already make it so much better

why would you think like that mate?

With the many many post concerning balance and nerf that side buff that side i wondered if people really thought it was that bad

So far it seems to be if no more balance patches came most would stop playing because of things becoming stale rather then imbalance

  • Most developers aren't good at their own game, they spend their entire day working on it, they are usually not going to play it when they get home

If you would work everyday in a cookie factory you are not going to eat cookies when you get home, you'd probably be sick from even seeing them

Survivors should be able to create their own custom survivor

    Change my mind

Head of claudette, body of shirthless david and short shorts of feng

  • Sweet, that's amazing

  • 1) or just make them weaker, don't remove my eyecandy mori's pls

    2) correct, matchmaking is pretty bad right now

    3) Hard no, and i don't even play swf, not all of them are sweaty try hards, most don't even use comms. Why would you need to be punished to play with a friend. Besides if this was implented they would just lobby skip untill they are together

And on top of that you would make the solo's three teamates weaker just because he was unfortunate enough to be paired up with an swf

Just a horrible idea in general tbh

    4) the maps could use a look over, although i feel that just a tad smaller would help a lot

  • I want to play hag but i don't have any perks with and i'm spening my bloodpoints on other things right now

    Never enough bloodpoints

  • Watch raging_ryuga on youtube

He has a video where he played 16 or so matches in red ranks in a row with Legion

4king in 12 of them and only getting an entity displeased once

Legion is viable when you play him right, not top tier ofcourse but far from useless

Yes, it is a better tracking tool than Legion when Legion tracking tool is useless if survivors split up. Why did you mention the fountains which instant heal survivors if then you say that survivors never cleanse, which pretty much made your first argument useless ? I like when survivors don't cleanse, they are very easy to down when using the PWYF + Nemesis combo, which is stronger on Plague than on Legion because Plague doesn't lose PWYF stacks when damaging survivors with Vile Purge. Also, Plague's add-ons are just so much better than Legion's add-ons.

Survivors very rarelly split up that much, i never has trouble finding them with killer instinct, especially after the speedbuffs

Also note i said a free heal at the end of the game, where running to get your power means they get away

You are right that the PWYF and nemesis work a lot better with her and that Legions addons are pretty bad

This is why i don't like putting killers in a list, it's all opinions anyway

Plague has better tracking, cancel all tracking and stealth perks and when survivors cleanse, she becomes a Huntress on crack. She's far better than Legion.

If you are seriously saying that survivors vomiting is a beter tracking tool then killer instinct that litterly shows you where survivors are then you clearly haven't played Legion enough to reach a solid conclusion on your own

And it doesn't matter that Plague becomes an unstoppable monster when survivors cleanse if they never cleanse

She is an tall m1 killer that leaves everyone wounded and louder and that's about it

Legion is an m1 killer that either leaves everyone wounded or makes them waste tons of time healing, can pressure multiple survivors and straight up know where survivors are and is short so mindgames are easier with them

I thought they were bad too first, i still played with them, i watch others play with them, and i reached the conclussion that they are far from bad

I don't like putting killers in a tierlist but if i had to Legion wouldn't even be bottom 5 probably

  • Legion is no where near the weakest killer in the game, they are a lot better then people give them credit

I mean isn't Legion already just a better Plague? They can injure people faster and don't give them an instant heal at the end of the game

You can deffinitivly do well with them in rank 1, sure that 1 game against the optimal swf with coms are going to be insanly hard but against normal survivors you can win if you're good enough

  • Wouldn't it be better then to reward survivors that can run a killer all game more rather then punishing killers who tunnel?

Like increasing the emblems you get for generator progress other survivors make while you are in chase for example

  • I would like mori's to only be activated after 2 hooks, but give a ton of bloodpoints, having it more be a fancy way to ens games then a real powerplay

And keys should only be able to open the hatch in EGC

I think that would be the simplest solution

  • Most my matches end in gg's or friendly discussions

So no it's really not that bad

I agree LoL is the worst, i'm so glad i quit that game

This goes back to the whole time line from before, you're continuously saying they're on break, but they weren't on break two weeks ago. For one and for two, you mean to tell me it takes them 2+ weeks on average to even look at a ticket?! If that's true then you've just proved my point even more, the system is useless because BHVR doesn't care. They got our money and now they don't give a cap if toxic players ruin their game. Wouldn't surprise me if this game ends up like their last failed project, Deathgarden: Bloodharvest, player base was so toxic everyone quit after the first major update. They thought they could just keep us quiet with new cosmetics and a hunter, didn't work so well then, and I would hope they learn from it. Not looking to good though.

Do you have any idea how many tickets get send?

Especially this game were so many people send tickets for nonsensical issues like camping or looping

I'd be surprised if they were able to do it in less then 2 weeks

  • If they added a totem counter too i would be ok with it

Noed is a lot less cheap if you know it's coming

And it will ad some strategy to survivors side, do gens as fast as possible but give killer noed? Or waste time on totems to deny noed?

Being as hated noed is though, i don't see this happening

  • Thanks for the tips, I'll play a bit more with it and see if i can do well with it ^_^

The perk works best in situations where you can break LOS. The killer is mostly making use of sound to determine if youve vauted a window or not in situations where they are mindgaming a loop and are moonwalking around. I think the perk is in a good spot with its current cooldown. 20 seconds means it cant be spammed, but still allows you to use it several times in a chase.

    @Tisfine said:

That wouldn't even work even if you have Quick and Quiet. Since where else could the survivor go to with missing scratch marks? Unless you have Head On Sure, it might work and you can maybe escape.

    You could also try this.

    10:00

Otherwise use Q&Q to just throw killers off on vaults, Locker plays can be entirely situational.

  • I kinda like when the killer has Noed tbh

It's cool that they get an powersurge right before the end

Personly i don't use it that much unless on very specific end game builds

I just don't find it very effective

  • We try to not speak ill of the departed

  • Jane is the Thicc-Kit

  • It's kinda funny how the meaning has completly flipped around somehow

It used to be to tell i a kiler was camping, now some people see it as hurry up

And seeing how both of these have 2 completly different responses, 1 is stay away the other is come get me asap

The confusion it spreads is hilarious sometimes

I've seen survivors abandoning a completly safe save because the one on the hook started flailing their arms for them to hurry up

  • Funny, i would like to see more of it and oblivious

It actually feels like a horror game if i don't get a giant telltale that the killer is near

  • They are litterly the same thing, doing the game as effeciently as possible, none are toxic

Survivors objective is to do gens and get out, ofcourse you want to do that as fast as possible

killers need to kill survivors, and just like in an rpg where the enemy with 1 hp does the same damage as one with full hp, it's tacticly better to focus them one by one, the injured survivor on death hook does gens just as fast as the healthy survivor with no hooks

Also hard disagree that there are no perks against tunneling, i already explained how to deal with it in the other treat

You keep saying that people are "attacking" you but you are also ignoring the ones who actual give advice

Getting genrushed sucks, getting tunneled too, but both have counter strategy's that make them easier to deal with and less frustrating

I would simply suggest to stop calling every strategy you can't beat toxic

It will only halt your growth as a player

  • Legion isn't that bad at all indeed

The thing is that most people see viable as being able to 4k even the best survivors

While that's not needed to pip

  • Welcome, hope you have fun ^-^

  • Meanwhile my dwights are in lockers...

  • Going to just copy-paste this from the other tunnel tread

It's a strategy in the game and like (most) strategy's there a counter strategy

There are 2 ways to get chased as a survivor, you can chase to stall for time for your teammates and you can chase to try an lose the killer

While the latter is harder that's the one you want to do to counter tunneling

If you find you get tunneled a lot try running more anti-tunnel perks

While DS+unbreakable is the most popular it's not really that effective in terms of losing the killer, that's more of a stall chase perk combo

A combo that really helps me against tunnelers is Lithe+Dance with Me. Just vault a window and dissapear

    Iron will also really helps

Try and get in the mindset of if he can't find you he can't tunnel you

Perks like We'll make it, borrowed time, MoM also help to prevent your teammates getting tunneled, same with bodyblocking, and medkits to give the unhooked person another healthstate, wich doesn't make them such an appealing target

This all assumes ofcourse that the killer wasen't right there when you got unhooked, if thet were then you should blame the teammate that unhooked you, not the killer who took the most effecient way out

  • Christmas was great thanks, hope you had a nice one too ^-^

  • Survivor perk: dissapear into the light

    A flash, and you're gone

After succesfully blinding a killer break into a sprint at 150 % your normal running speed for a maximum of 3 seconds.

You leave no scratch marks for 3 seconds

Causes the Exhausted  Status Effect for 120/90/60seconds.

No problem. In order for BT to work, you have to be within the killers radius. We’ll make it is good, but it doesn’t prevent tunneling. Bodyblocking doesn’t either. I’ve played killers that legit tunnel one survivor. Which is my point, I understand tunneling to an extent, as in, you’ve hooked everyone once or twice and now want to eliminate survivors. I’m not for 3 hooking one person right away. Also, lithe works to an extent as it knocks you in exhausted.

Anyways, I’ve yet to get reason why killers tunnel besides “i can do what I want” “the survivor looped me” or “don’t get caught”. It’s just a toxic tactic and I’ll leave it at that. There’s nothing more that I can say that i haven’t. This community is obviously filled with toxic killers that have no reasoning.

Exhaustion refreshes when you are hooked so you always have it available when you need it

The reason killers tunnel is because of effeciency

It's not really a toxic tactic, just like genrush isn't

3 survivors is just easier to deal with then 4 most of the time that's the sole reason

Try getting better at losing the killer, you would be surprised how many killers can lose you just by hiding after they lost line of sight

Try and get in this mindset of 2 different types of chasing

If a killer puts all their pressure on you and can't actually get you in the end that's almost a garentied loss for that killer

That's the weakness of tunneling so that's what you need to exploit to beat it

  • Sucks that this happens but you can just DC for this

There's a reason the first penalties only last a minute

As long as you don't DC often it should'nt really effect you

  • @LustForBP said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/945067#Comment_945067

That’s a survivor penalty and it’s actually counterproductive for a survivor because it takes away from a survivors potential for a “safe hook”. You all are literally making more excuses for a killer tunneling and I’m assuming it’s because you lack gameplay on the other side.

I’ve achieved red rank on both sides and mostly play killer unless I’m with my group. It’s very very unnerving to be tunneled and as a killer I find no fun in chasing one person. I’ve tried it before and lost because of the team completing gens. My argument comes from it being completely unfair to the survivor on the other hand.

They can be a great survivor and lose rank because of a toxic killer. It’s unfair. Killers are given many tools to beat survivors and yet most of the community finds it completely fair to tunnel. That’s sad.

Ok i was not that helpfull with that last post

    I'm sorry

I play both sides too and i get it, getting tunneled sucks, same as getting genrushed sucks

But it's a strategy in the game and like (most) strategy's there a counter strategy

There are 2 ways to get chased as a survivor, you can chase to stall for time for your teammates and you can chase to try an lose the killer

  • There is a penalty

The person who made the unsafe unhook gets less emblems and bloodpoints

  • Merry holidays and a happy Christmas everybody

  • I would say ruin, noed, devour, thrill and haunted ground are all pretty good

Lullaby, third seal need something cause right now they are kinda meh

Third seal should also add the oblivious status cause oblibious is probably the most fun status effect to give in the game

Lullaby should reach max stacks after 3 tokens tbh, it would also be nice if the bonus regression from failed skillchecks stayed after the hex was destroyed

I think it would also be good if hex perks got the noed treatment, as in they aren't on the map untill in effect and then a dull totem becomes a hex totem

For ruin when a skillcheck is created, for thrill when a totem is touched, for devour, third seal, lullaby when they gain tokens and haunted ground after a certain time

  • I agree, this would solve that many issues

  • I wish there was a christmas offering that allowed each side to give the other side bonus bloodpoints

  • I love Legions mori

The struggle back makes it so brutal

  • Thanks merry Christmas to you as well ^-^

  • I wish survivors that never played killer would play with the perk fixated for 20 games or so

So they can see themself how obvious they often make it that they are near

1 … 133 134 135 136 137 … 142
