Lol that one patch doesn't really mean anything thanks to the upcoming Chapter 9 patch. We thought they were going in the right direction, but they weren't and went back to their old ways.

Lmao they did nothing yet and you're pre-whining. Very good. Guess you haven't been watching dev streams for the last half year talking about aaaaall the balance changes they've considered.

So I'm not allowed to form any opinion until the PTB? Wow.

Nah that's a little too much. Maybe they'll get downed in the first 30-60 seconds if they get found first.

I honestly don't think it's a good idea, seeing how so many people have like next level hatred towards them, just because they got rekt in a video game.

    -Moris every game
    -Purple flashlights every game
    -Sandbagging
    -Revealing their position
    -Keeping them hostage
    ...among other stuff.

Honestly I don't think that many people hate the devs that much. Sure some people do, but not enough to make a big difference. If the devs are playing Killer, then I'm pretty sure the only way for someone to figure out that they're up against a dev is to stream snipe (and I think all streams have some sort of delay), unless PC has a way to view the Killer's identity pre-game.

Hopefully they’ll finally be able to see just how hard Killers have had it and how ridiculously easy Survivor is. Maybe we’ll finally start getting closer to a balanced game.

The problem is that if they are inexperienced, they can buff wrong things. Like what?

When I played nurse for the first time, I think I was able to get 2-3 hits. I mean I didn't know anything about game at that time I accept it but again Nurse sucked for me. I thought she need buffs like a natural 3rd blink, which she had in the past btw. I was getting 3-4k with leatherface and freddy in almost everymatch though.

So they will not judge their game by how they play it. Playing their own game is not going to change anything because even if they suck, they will think that they were just bad and that's why they lost the match.

Except it's not about experience. The devs don't seem to believe that Killers have a really hard time against Survivors. Do you remember what it took for the devs to finally remove instablind? McCote went against at least two instablind flashlights at the Korean event. They announced the flashlight nerf and removal of quicker blind speeds shortly after that event. It wasn't because of skill. It was because they finally realized just how broken instablinds were and that they had no reliable counter aside getting lucky. Looking at walls couldn't save you when you can be blinded instantly at any time. With this new event that they want to do, I'm hoping they'll start seeing the other major problems that Killers have such as totem placements and gen completion speed and fixing them ASAP. They know about bad totem placements and games ending in less than five minutes, but they really haven't tried to do much with them. If McCote didn't go up against those instablinds in Korea, then they might have never gotten removed.

Survivors arent the Only one being "Toxic"... in my opinion: a Camping and tunneling Killer is Toxic aswell. Its not "Surv" or "Killer" ITS the DBD Community... ist just full of Cancer and angry people... they only care about them self.

    SAD...

A killer trying to do his job and please the entity is toxic.

    Sad indeed

... A Survivor try to Help his Teammates (Doing his Job) with Flashlight, Bodyblock, sabo hooks... and doing hes job with not being caught : 360s, Loop and DS...

Its the same here dude -_-

Except a Survivor's job is to escape. They aren't really supposed to help each other out. They're just four people with a common goal that happen to be in the same place at the same time.

A Killer's job is to kill. If they're in a situation that forces them to camp, then they will.

  • It's because they're either not that good at the game, trying to get you to chase them, or they know that you're out of teleportation range.

  • Your idea seems pretty good, along with @Tsulan's idea for add-ons.

There is something I don't agree with though, and that is that the Survivor should always have a chance to scream at Madness 3. Making the scream reliant on a skill check at tier 3 would be a nerf to Doc since there are Survivors out there that can hit even the smallest skill check.

Since when a game developer equals best killer/survivor?
    Dumbest thing I've seen today...
They are obviously not playing the game enough to be good at it, and developing the game doesn't make them better than someone who played it for lots of hours.

It's only dumb if you're a Survivor main who uses crutches and likes having Survivor be ridiculously easy.

The devs don't seem to understand that Killers are weak, even though we have complaining for two years. When they try to play with their community and go up against halfway decent Survivors and have games end in less than five minutes because they got genrushed and looped for days, then they'll se

  • They can’t lose their cash cows man. They saw the Survivor scrubs complain that they actually had to have some skill, and instead of learning from the Freddy situation, they buffed Survivors to get them to stop complaining. Gotta get that money somehow.
  • What region are you in? US prices are $7.99 for Myers, Freddy, Pig, and Clown. Leatherface and Headcase are $3.99.

  • I remember for the Lunar event, they extended it by an extra week because of all the connection issues. Maybe they'll do the same for the BBQ event. Unless the issues persist for more than a week, then I wouldn't expect them to extend the event for that long because of how easy it is to obtain the cosmetics (especially the Killer cosmetic, that can be done in hours). They'll probably extend the event by 2-4 days at the most.

  • Devs don’t want to lose any more of their cash cows. They don’t care about the state of the game that much.
  • Unfortunately it does seem like the devs are still Survivor favored. The last two patches seemed promising, but this Q&A stream just broke that promise. It seems Survivor will always be braindead easy and Killers will never in the power role.

Bloodlust should not have been nerfed until every single god loop was removed. They just gave in to the scrubby children because of all the whining. It’s sad.

Status effects being removed is stupid. Another pointless buff to Survivors.

Giving Survivors a built-in Kindred 3 shouldn’t have happened until SWF was nerfed. They are bringing this in too early.
  • A lot of people (including me) say Doc is a mid tier Killer (and most of them probably think he only needs buffs, not a rework), but a few people do think he’s a low tier Killer.

I’m not sure I like him moving at 100% speed in Treatment. Will charging Shock Therapy still slow him down? It’s already easy for Survivors to run away while he’s charging his shocks. Lowering his movement speed in Treatment will make it harder for him to land the shocks unless his range is extended.
  • I feel like number 3 would be the best. Unless it’s one of those super special international event exclusive outfit, no outfit should cost even close to $10. That’s ridiculous for just a costume. I planned to buy so many outfits, but when the prices for Auric Cells and outfits were revealed, I changed my mind. I only bought one (Wild Asylum Mental Patient Doctor), and that was only because I main him and I had been waiting months for it, otherwise I wouldn’t have got it. BHVR does NOT need to turn into a money-hungry video game company. We already have enough of that with Activision and 2K.
  • Another one of these? Ok then...

    1. Survivors can punish it by gen rushing. Stop trying to get saves when you see a Killer camp. You are NOT entitled to hook saves.

    2. This idea has already been tested in an earlier PTB by the devs (a long time ago, like sometime in either 2016 or early-mid 2017) and it was abused to death by Survivors, so it will never come back.

  • It’s fun as both Survivor and Killer. I love the fact that the terror radius can be heard even if you’re on a different floor because it makes playing Survivor tense. I have no idea where the Killer actually is and I love it.

But the problem of all the gens spawning on one floor while all the hooks spawn on another and the double pallet near the bathroom needs to be fixed.
  • You need to either play on console or buy the Spark of Madness chapter.
  • I only have Bitter Murmur 3 on my Doc, and that was only because I was trying to get all perks on him. My Trapper has it at tier 2. All my other Killers either don't have it or only have it at tier 1. I had a Nurse daily yesterday, and I decided to try out the new Bitter Murmur (I also had Nurse's 1). That one game has convinced me to get Bitter Murmur 3 on all my Killers. I plan on using it for Huntress (since Tinkerer got changed). I can just throw a hatchet when a gen is completed and have a higher chance of it hitting the Survivor.

  • Should we create a megathread for all these salty Survivor posts?

  • To everyone who is complaining about Lefty staying in the standoff for four hours, you do know that he's trying to stay in character, right?

  • This is probably because Survivors don't like the fact that they have to try to survive now. They want it to be braindead easy.

  • Right from the beginning, players were constantly getting disconnected and the Killers that could play a 4v1 had to deal with the broken flashlights and pallets. It was braindead easy to make a save. All you had to do was drop a pallet or blind the Killer during the pickup animation, and the Killer would drop the Survivor once the pickup animation was over. It thankfully got patched out quickly (I think within a week at the most, same thing with the constant DCs). However, those were not the only problems. This event brought out the worst in the DbD community. Killers would camp lunar gens and Survivors would sabotage lunar hooks in order to deny one side their coins. Unfortunately these issues were not addressed at all by BHVR, meaning that you would have to hope that you didn't get jerks that would purposefully try to deny the other side their coins. I remember getting extremely lucky as Killer and not running into a lot of Survivors who sabotaged my lunar hooks. I ran into one who tried to sabo my lunar hook as I got closer to it, but he had just started, so I was able to get my coin. My only major problem with the event was a personal problem, and it was a power outage that happened near the end of the event. Thankfully, my power was restored the last day of the event and I got the Huntress mask.

Sure! :-) whenever self care gets nerfed prepare to open the floodgate of salty survivor tears.

Don't forget the upcoming DS nerf. The world will flood with salt.

  • No, they're just starting to fix the game for Killers. You just need to adapt.

I've been noticing the amount of threads from salty Survivor mains who refuse to adapt saying that 2.1.0 is trash. It's making me think that maybe this is why BHVR hasn't nerfed DS yet. They foresaw the mountains of salt that will rise once the Survivors realize that their second crutch perk is gone and that they really have to adapt.

This. I can't believe that they STILL don't have the DLC.

They’re supposed to getting Curtain Call on July 27th. Still nothing about Auric Cells.
  • Nah, people will just have to learn when to start blinding again.
  • I’m thinking more information will be revealed on Thursday. The second double BP event will probably start alongside the Summer BBQ event. I honestly can’t wait to get that new Billy weapon.
  • It’s because Survivors are having trouble dealing with the fact that they have to actually have skill to escape and that Killers are getting stronger. When the DS nerf hits, I won’t be surprised if there’s 1-2 players quitting in nearly every game because of the loss of their crutch perk.
  • No wonder BHVR delayed the DS and SC nerfs. They forsaw how salty Survivors would get and how much they would cry on the internet.

  • Its probably a bug. I'm also hearing from others that Tinkerer is bugged right now, making killers have 0 TR for the while trial
That’s what I’m thinking. Maybe Sony and Microsoft should’ve rejected the patch. However, we’d probably end up waiting another 2-3 weeks. It’d be Curtain Call all over again.
  • Just look around you lol. This doesn't need a nerf.

  • Dr. Herman Carter has looked into your problem, and here is his diagnosis.

Replace the aura handicap with a number over the perk indicating how many survivors are within range of the hook/perk.

LMAO. "Aura handicap"? Are you literally trying to call this out right now? Do you know how broken DS is? As I said in another post, DS doesn't REWARD you for anything and PUNISHES the Killer for DOING THEIR JOB! BBQ REWARDS the Killer for HOOKING, which is DOING THEIR JOB. Nurse's PUNISHES Survivors for healing within the Killer's Terror Radius, and if your Terror Radius is cut off, it opens up a new playstyle. Brutal makes breaking pallets less of a pain, and it's not even by that much! Are you out of your mind? "Aura handicap"? What does DS reward you for doing? NOTHING. IT PUNISHES THE KILLER FOR DOING THEIR JOB! This goes to show how broken the damn perk is, and how it allows Survivors who are complete ######### to get up in to the Red Ranks. The thing that pisses us Killer mains off is that they T-BAG when they stun you or even drop a pallet! They bring flashlights on top of that, and most of the time, it's not even for Altruism. There are more and more Survivors turning into Ochido, and while Ochido himself I don't mind, it's gonna be absolute hell if EVERYONE turns into him.

I've been encountering newer players who are starting to turn into OchiDo wannabes. It's sad.

Also, may I remind you that this is the same user that said Doctor needed a nerf because it messed with his preferred playstyle (aka "I refuse to try out a different playstyle") and called his add-ons crutches. He also complained about skill checks getting harder in Madness 1 and the amount of time it takes to get rid of Madness. Here's his exact words:

    @Nos37 said:
I know how to beat the Doctor. He just cramps my stealthy style, and the matches against him take far longer; especially if the others rage quit. The measures I have to take to survive mean I usually black pip, but I guess it's better than losing several pips by disconnecting.

    @Nos37 said:
80% of the rage quits I see are Doctor matches. 90% of mine are, too.

    They always run Distressing.
It always covers half the map (or the whole map on certain maps).
All he has to do is check lockers if no one's screaming.
Tier 1 Madness messes with the skill checks.
Tier 2 Madness gives way to his crutch add-ons.
The Madness takes forever to get rid of and won't drop even if you're in a locker b/c the Doctor's on the same half of the map as you, pausing the regression.

Just remember this before you start replying to another one of his "balance adjustment" threads.

  • Doc’s base terror radius is 32 meters. Using both Calm add-ons alters it by 12 meters, giving you a 20 meter terror radius in Punishment mode. Monitor and Abuse decreases it by another 6/7/8 meters, bringing the radius to 14/13/12 meters in Punishment. So no, you won’t have a 6 meter radius like Myers does, but you will get pretty close.

All of the numbers I got came from the DbD wiki.
  • That's good, but I think this would be better against decent Survivors because of how easy it is to defeat Freddy.

    Ruin
Dying Light (Really good on Freddy because of the slower action speed in the dream world. At tier 3, a sleeping Survivor will have a 75% reduction to repair, healing, and sabotage speed)
    BBQ and Chili
    NOED

  • This is the same person who thinks that Doctor needs a nerf because he messes with their preferred playstyle, even though they know how to counter him. Basically if he doesn't like something then he demands that it gets changed, even if he knows how to counter it.

Nos37, you need to stop acting like a spoiled, entitled kid and get good. Not everything in this game will be the way you want it to be.

I don't want my perk to explode in 20 seconds perhaps?

Sorry, I should’ve gave a little more detail. Last night, I got out of a match where the killer protected their TOTH totem all game instead of just coming to hunt us down. It cost them the game. They didn’t have NOED, Devour hope, nothing. Absolutely no good reason to protect it... I was just wondering why they do it because I’ve seen a lot of killers do it for no actual strategic reason.
Oh well in that case the Killer was probably trying to bait you into going after to the totem so he could kill you. I thought you were complaining about hitting Ruin skillchecks instead of asking why a Killer is just guarding TOTH without running any other hex perks.
  • Tunneling’s not an issue. It’s common sense. I’m obviously going to go after the weaker Survivor who is closer to death and possibly injured instead of a completely healthy Survivor who will take longer to kill.
  • Stompa said:

This thread is about what plays you made as a Killer that got the Survivors salty. I’d say it belongs in the Killer section.
  • Because they don’t want to lose access to one of their perks? If you’re having trouble with Ruin skillchecks, then you need to get good. Simple as that.
  • @SnakeSound222 said:
The entitlement in this post is strong.

Says the guy that double pips but still wants a 4k. It's your ego that's keeping you from just hitting the guy to end the game.

So you’re saying let the last guy go because he’s the last guy? Just because I’ve already pipped/double pipped does not mean I’m going to be a nice Killer and let the last one escape for no good reason.
  • I had just sacrificed a third Survivor as Doctor on Mother’s Dwelling and was making a beeline for the hatch. I get there right before it opens. I don’t see the last Survivor, so I kick the gen beside it. After I’m done, I turn around to see a Dwight running toward the Hatch. He jumps in, but I grab him. The moment Doc slams him on the hatch, he DCs.

I was Doc again on The Pale Rose against a 4-man SWF. I had just finished sacrificing the third Survivor because I couldn’t find the fourth (they already entered Madness 1). BBQ finally reveals the location of the fourth survivor (a P3 Meg), and she’s running to the hatch. I run to the hatch and start zapping the area. My first zap gets her. She’s in the shack. She runs away from the hatch, trying to distract me. I keep zapping, trying to put her into Madness 3 (hoping she might get tricked by an illusion). This is when she uses Sprint Burst and makes a beeline for the hatch. Now, because she was behind a log, she had to go around me. I was right on top of her. I kept chasing because I knew she wanted me to hit her so she could escape. I don’t hit her, and I let her reach the hatch. She jumps in it and I grab her. I take her down to the basement. She’s wiggling really hard, but I manage to hook her. I check the endgame screen and see that she has Decisive Crutch. I didn’t get any salty messages from her, but I’m 100% sure she was salty because she didn’t get to use the king of crutches to “outplay” me and escape. She and her friends were probably all very salty and were most likely calling me all sorts of names. I did, however, get a message from a Tapp that I killed earlier in the game calling me a “lil dick pussy” because I tunneled him. You’re the closest Survivor to dying, why would I let you go? It’s just common sense to keep hooking you.
  • For Killer, yes, even if it’s limited to only hex perks. This way Killers can use four perks. Ruin gets destroyed so soon that you’re basically playing with three perks.

For Survivor, no. They already have enough good perks (at least two of them are crutches). If you need five perks as a Survivor, then you need to get good.
  • Just hit the guy, take the 3k and pip/2 pip, and move on. Why you gotta kill everyone when you already double pip? GREED no other reason. Don't give me excuses.

The entitlement in this post is strong.
