On this map you eat lots and lots AND lots of pallets. But once they are all gone, its so predictable and easy to find survivors, so its kinda balanced, I guess? I like it more then I hate it, but there are some aweful god-pallets and strong loops.
and 0 gens done meanwhile?
-
Carpenter simulator. But I do like it (even offering) with myers (dead rabbit, vanity mirror, monitor and abuse…its just incredibly sneaky)
-
CoH % should be nerfed. Working through multiple levels in indoor maps should be removed. It is incredibly strong and killer can take quite some to find the boon (scavanging every floor is quite time consuming)
-
The problem of the current SBMM is, that you as a new player try to play game as a killer - lack of killer population compared to survivors (hence 1:4 ratio)
Since the higher mmr survivors (team) cannot find a match with equally skilled killer, therefore the mmr range gets increased and you get sucked into that lobhy. So the match is found, yet incredibly broken (compared to skills).
As mentioned, SBMM is missing protective bubble (well its hard to impossible to exclude smurfs) and other thing is that game should a checkbox where you want to enable sbmm only to same mmr grade (longer queue, fair match) vs this state of sbmm that is right now
-
I think you are most of the time wrongly using the ability.
You have to open the portal or we is called in his proximity or literally on him.
usingChains to snipe on vast distances is more situational

I love that quote:
”Apperantly somebody had some bad games today”

But what else do you expect from a player with names such as chicksdigmyswag?
Even from gold up, Ive noticed alot of SWFs / randoms that are polite. They either just head out, or do 1-2 crouches which i interpret as GG and also post chat GGs.
You just get over it and ignore them :) Its not worth of the nerves and stress. If anybody that does bad manners to you and you hook him; then do a small dance and head bangs in return. but dont over do it or the gens will pop :D

Sorry for potato quality. Trues current games streak top left

Looping in a lot of tiles required only two skills.
dead hard for easier vault reach and being able to hug wall as much as you can.
Half of loops are with safe pallet so you can do 40 circles before dropping pallet, abuse the double window, etc.
Been there, done that.
Haddonfield, backwater silly maps, well almost all naps are silly

100 is great for most killers for me but trickster I go WAY off my target while throwing knives. for me its between 35/40/45
you get used to it. I also play huntress on 100% and have high axe hit ratio

100% sensitivy.
Aa mentioned, deadzones are horrible, compensate finese aiming with movement. practice is key.

Devour Hope was always good, you can use it like 4th perk where it sometimes win you a game. I really like it on killers that can hide it till mori like Trickster. But it is still hex, so it's just useless in most games, because all survivors are looking for totems in boon meta.
Demogorgon with Lifeguard Whistle addon is really good with Devour Hope.
you cant hide it? on 3 stacks everybody gets exposed icon?

Seeing that pain resonance has quickly become meta, I'm looking to do some spicy sabo plays. If it doesn't reveal the auras, it really should tbh, this perk has fallen down too hard and it needs some buffs

It doesn't though. Up further in this discussion is the kill-rates posted by BHVR itself. And if you look at it, it shows the Killers as having a little above 50% kill rate on average, slightly leaning toward the Killer side.
I don't doubt that high level SWF play can beat high level Killer play, but that's the exact same as discounting what Otz is saying, because he is a professional.
this is a global statistic.
I would be more interested in charts regarding MMR range
-
I think otz is highly over rated streamer, which I honestly cannot watch, especially where just as would enter the queue, he decides to go and explain all perks for next 3 hours.
majority of swf quite rekt him. But random queues…depends from game to the game.
As he is bhvr partner, his opinion is always more of a subjective matter
-
Chapter healthcare. Licensed by BHVR. Instead of adding new stuff in. Brainstorms the redesign of maps and mechanics.
(old) new killers are seen in lobbies.
More then 4 same’o’same perks on each side
-
I honestly find plague most fun. as its really nice counter to CoH and SWF have to sweat more.
But you can get 2 variants of the game.
Where they are afraid to cleanse and ur typical m1 chasing all, single lantern slap puts you down.
And the other game where they fill you all fountains with cranberry juice and you just run around enjoy puke downs

I like playing him. But the Chain Hunt i almost never get. Survs always do the cube if u pick up, or under a palltet , or next to a wall or something. I always spawn way to far away to get them in time.
Hoarder & franklin is a nice edition.
But I agree. You can use that purple addon to shoot more chains in case it’s environmental break, but its all in hand of RNG Jesus.
Pinhead in the game, m2 is useless 98% of the time

On starters as learning the map, it makes sense that you struggle. But I just see this map as blackwater swamp v2
-
Becouse it is a new map, deadlines, not properly tested etc.
The map is awful for a lot of killers - tile connections, especialy m2 based

Can we please revert Spirit nerfs so I can go against a different killer?
I swear to god this game has no more than 5 killers because I have been playing for a weak and I can count in 1 hand the number of killers I go against.

Give legion a mori on first hook.
I don't know.

I disagree.
Again, it's something of an industry standard. Most games with both solo queue and premade options facing the same opponents do this exact thing.
The advantages of communication, coordination and being able to stack specific perks and addons with a map offering are enormous, and quite difficult to quantify.
Offsetting this by pairing you with a stronger opponent seems like a fair and meaningful way to counteract this, and get at least partially rid of the 'stompcomp stomping lowbies' paradigm.
It would be an interesting experiment at least.
It is still transfering problem to higher elo.
This is asymmetrical pvp game. 4 players will never be equally skilled as killer.
I wouldnt mind playing against SWFs where I can be efficient.
And I believe as most of the killers wouldnt mind either.
-
inflating mmr on swf would just shift problem to higher elo.
SWF is just a problem itself mostly due to perk VOIP.
If all players have equal mmr, with current state of the game, its just even further away from actually being a balanced match
-

You also have to consider that we take feedback from many areas, not just forums. And feedback in general is very varied - whilst some players are unhappy about something, others are happy with it. It's just that the negatives often shout louder than the positives, which happens in all parts of feedback.
We make regular reports with regards to feedback that we receive and a lot of this is acted upon. The issues with The Artist in the PTB for example, with the changes made before she was released to the Live build.
But how come none of the patch notes are not something positive around killers?
Vast maps, gen rushing, SWF & perk VOIP. Unnecessary nerfs to cenobite, etc.
Prime time + SWF + map offering s is actually something, that makes me listen to the game director and I go play civ6 :)

Coup de Grâce should have had this sort of thing.
Honestly, the only reason why I would love to include it into builds. It could be potentially dangerous counter to DH -> vault

I honestly think BHVR should listen to their game director. And go play/develop something else, for a week or two, three…

Of course a killer is required for a match. But imagine if all those survivors that only play survivor, because its the power role, suddenly switched to killer. Then we would have a situation like 2 or 3 years ago during the halloween event. At the beginning of the event people HAD to play both sides to earn the event currency. Which resulted in massive killer queues (talking about more than 30 minutes), because every single survivor main tried to play killer at the same time.
On regard of the testing environment, they should really launch the PTB as a secondary client thats permanently accessible without overwriting the main dbd client. The test times could last much longer and people should earn some kind of reward for testing and reporting new stuff thoroughly. But yes, we can only dream.
And thats why survivors queues are longer. Its better if some fools be frustrated over the game design but yet is rewarded with instant queues?
-
Reminds of the swampy area.
With blight its slippery af
With huntress I became slower m1. Almost nowhere to get los for hatchet throws
-
@Tsulan said:
Killers HAVE to be weak. Simply because the game needs 4 survivors and only 1 killer. So if killers were actually strong, then everyone would play killer and the killer queue would be unbearable.
At least this would be a logic explanation. Instead of the alternative...
Thats why is 4v1. SoloQ is unberable to all, so swf is a way to go.
coop is the key? or coop counts only on gens, healing and group slavic dance moves at exit?
-
I tried it with huntress today. Trying to get 2 hooks before sacrifices.
As you said urself, i could see the unhooking…which could lead to easy tunneling, but after 2nd hook, I slugged her and focus on the rest.
3 hooks = 2 gens (haddon fields or we is map called)
end game: 7 hooks 0K.
If you get instant unhook and be suprised that killer focuses wounded before rescuer…well, think again or do some fair play killer matches :)

No. Becouse dedicated server starts with version X. Once you are back in lobby, the authenticating server lets you know, that if you want to play dbd, close game, update to version Y. Until then, no dbd for you
-
SWF that tea bagged and clicky clicky on each pallet, I let all 4 of them to bleed out from slugging

Doesnt matter. Im console aswell, xplay on. Sensitivity on 100%.
People who will get into ur mind will know what you trying to do. Random patterns, double back as u charge blink ofcourse…practice and luck are key to success.
Think of it as a tennis. Approach your target with smaller blinks instead of the vast ones. While ur stuck in blink phase they will run the opposite way. Smaller the blinks, smaller reaction time

Grades doesn't really show quality of survivors, just how much they play. This video is the perfect example. This steve, #########? He was holding w in a straight line against a Nurse without any attempt to change direction or mindgaming you (like every semi-good survivor would do when you blink). You also had a lot of luck with your perks, everything worked well together for you. Besides that you played slugging Nurse, i can't really judge your skill from this video but every good and experienced Nurse will win most of their matches.
I played with a 6k hours survivors in a swf for one evening. She was walking every match the whole time because she wanted to preserve her sprintburst (making one of my friends go into second stage in one situation because of it). You see, play time and grades doesn't automatically show skill, trust me. I was Iri 1 as survivor last season and i'm far from very good, while as killer i was only silver ranks because i wasn't in the mood to play much of it, but i consider myself a better killer than survivor.
This is the point, where i stated mmr vs ranks.
I would also say (and dont want to be toxic or salty) that gold players could actually been boosted from their iri1 friends.
This is incredibly dependant RNG Jesus build.
But to clarify, I am not a fan of slugging.
As I hooked steve, second hex activated my wallhack, so I saw that she was awaiting near by to unhook…so, I used proximity and exposed status effect.

SWF (2x iri1, 2x gold1) I dont think its cream de la cream of mmr. Some potato blinks included + 1 in a milion luck according to sbmm

As most likely 5minutes before he had a light show and slavic squat dance on exit gates

"KILL THE META PERKS ON BOTH SIDES"
I started dbd without looking at youtube or anywhere. I thought okay…4v1 so the killer must be trully strong and feels like playing a god in a trial.
Reallity feels like survivors are hyped to be summoned into trial and enjoy sado mazo scenes, cannot wait to feel a pinch of pain before heading out

I think Nurse and Blight would need nerfs.
Other than that, kill the meta perks on both sides then re-evaluate
Why not nerf survivors aswell? With current situation of gameflow it is nearly impossible to play majority of killers.
Killers are being torn apart constantly.
You get countered by 2-3 killers, now its a huge problem
Killers get countered by W and 40 pallets per match on average not a problem.
Meta is slowly but obviously shifting. Unstoppable gen rush = end game killer perks. One way or another
And yet BHVR expects killers to get 2K on average? Makes me wonder why such standard to progress to iri 1.
-
lets nerf tricker. Survivors have no chance to win such games
-

Come on Devs. The majority of the player base despises MMR/SBMM. Please change it. The system is far too simple and leads to ridiculously unfair games for killers most of the time. Survivor queues are long, and killers are camping, tunneling, slugging machines anyway when you do get a game because they can't win playing fair much these days. Please change SBMM.
Win by playing fair. I’ll assume you do not play swf with voip and map offerings

This. This forum has turned into a fear mongering fest and a pity party for players who want free 4ks and free escapes every match instead of just getting better at the game.
Seems ur the only on this forum who has instant survivor queues. Hates to play soloQ cos how bad people are, doesnt want to admit that swf using voip is game breaker with upperhand.
Speed of gens is totally OK. Also boons arent OP. Honestly? Are you ash 3?
