I literally didnt even mention SBMM in this post, but I guess you always have to hang around in hope I notice your hate boner for me

Yeah. Becouse soloQ is not working with you, even with instant queues. how pitty

  • @Marigoria said:

Oh no, a streamer lost one game. Losing one game = game must be survivor sided.

Game is only balanced when I win 100% of my matches.

Also, there's already a thread on this video: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/300938/wow-playing-killer-in-2021-is-so-fun-right#latest

I also like ur post how sbmm is not good for you. As you have to play with survivors who were boosted by swf and cant last 10s in the chase. But…MaYbE ThIs Is YoUr MmR aNd SbMm WoRkS?????

  • @FearlessHunter said:

I mean I like tru and all but he does tend to blame a lot of his mistakes on the game. A few days ago he played as Deathslinger, missed 90% of his shots because he kept trying to do insane flicks and insisted that mmr was at fault, not him missing his shots because he was trying to show off.

but then you have otzadarva or we, who yday played nurse in school vs baby survivors.

Using standard perk build, and saying see, game is perfectly balanced and sbmm is flawless, otherwise i would not get 4K.

    Right…

Maybe im an outlier but the only problem I have with lockers is when they are side by side and people chain blind until their flashlights drain. Even then that's only when there are two survivors left and they're just wasting my time. Otherwise they are both being useless and I can just find the other two on gens.

Chasing anyone in the main building is a death sentence. Good killers will literally give that Gen away for free because of how dumb the main building is.

Also he could have just you know, Frenzy hit them so they'd bleed out in the locker.

Whenever Ive checked ur stream, instead of outplaying all of them as described above, I remember two things.

Oh now here is a god pallet.

Oh now here is a god window.

    Ended up with 0K.

Its quite easy to be a general once the war is over

depends on my mood tbh. sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's annoying. whatever the case they're doing me a favor by not doing gens

they were ttv, so i had a look over a match. They were coop on gens, but penalties slowdown a lot. They were also doing 2 closest gens so they could help themself with preventing hooks.

Vommit helped me a lot to down them multi and run to a hook.

But at the end of the day, I had to tunnel poor dwight otherwise gens would dissapear

I disagree with the thought of there being more veteran than new players, specially now that it was free on Epic.

I genuinely think that MMR is not even on, since queue times on both sides for me are instant (depending on time of the day), and I still get put with newer players.

Though on the killer side, I was queuing as Freddy (which is the one I play the most), dodged the lobby to try The Artist for the first time, and got the exact same team I dodged, instantly. So either it isn't making the difference between killers you're alright at and the ones you don't play, or is genuinely not working at all for both sides.

One of the reasons I changed for crossplay off, was because survivor at night time was borderline unplayable with the team mates I was getting , though killer on crossplay on is much more enjoyable because people are less sweaty.

just as its free, it doesnt mean it has really an waves of new players coming into the game.

I am console and also with xplay on. And honestly, idk why is there this mentality of having worse games.

Ive noticed on both sides equal players. From those who run in straight lines, to those who knows optimal ways of each tile and 360ing.

But regarding current sbmm, i am more convinced that algorithm is pretty much bugged. sometimes works other doesnt.

  • i personally adapted this perk as more or less standard in a build. Only sad part is sometimes the rng of scourge spread but still okay. Nasty perk

  • Most likely never.

Once algorithm cannot find equal mmr, it spreads its wings into (more likely) lower / higher brackets.

Since there is lesser amount of newer players rather then veterans, they are unlucky and being matched with them.

Giving some sort of penalties (mmr rise) to swf, will just prolong the carry time to higher mmrs, and once they decide to go soloQ, you will meet them again.

SBMM should go away, you should be able to see lobby mmr, which at the end might even promote more dodging

  • I love the comment section. So many captain hindsights analysing what he has done wrong and how he could outplay.

The outcome of it is, game is totally balanced, now we only need to nerf NOED, becouse its stupid that i get punished for genrush

  • @Sluzzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2705058#Comment_2705058

Yes, SWF that genrushes should have a form of penalty too. The Entity can cast a spell that hinders a SWF team that has an advantage. There is no "in-between" any more. SWF are way too overpowered, Solo and average teams are underpowered.

swf can just play roulette to get together in soloQ. regarding SBMM, smaller the pool of players can be involved

oh no, he had noed. I was too busy doing gens only. Lets nerf it

  • NOED is in a good state and its your gamble if you will rush out or do bones.

And no, I dont dodge any game. When I get stomped, I can see where I failed and how could I improve myself.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2703872#Comment_2703872

    Nope.

If you cleanse 4 totems, you still eat instant downs until you find that pesky 5th. Plus, you wasted almost a full minute of just cleansing totems for nothing.

In my suggestion, every remaining totem is an instant down. If Survivors didn't cleanse ANY totems, 5 instant downs is more than enough to ######### them up. If they cleansed a few, then they get rewarded and don't have to deal with as many instant downs.

    yes.

    do bones.

  • @Pulsar said:

I'd rather it give you instant down per totems remaining in the match.

This would punish gen-rushing SWF's that everyone hates but wouldn't unfairly punish Solo's.

I literally never said "gg ez" in my 5k hours of playing time. Are you projecting?

You seem quite upset about the game, and are blaming it all on "survivors op" "survivors toxic" "devs only like survivors", have you thought about the possibility that maybe, just maybe, you just need to practice more?

There are things that are definitely not great about this game and do need adjusting, but I think a lot of it you seem to be projecting towards others when the problem isn't there, and it isn't helpful at all.

I’m not upset at all. But playing both sides, you can clearly see the difference in QoL. Playing as a survivor is 90% fun and its really horrible that even rng spawn points can decide early win

I never stated that killer and 4K should be easily achieved. But the way how BHVR is projecting the development. It is only leaning to longer TTK and faster gen works.

I literally never mentioned something being "balanced" or "hard to win", and I never said any killer is OP. Care to quote where I said any of that or are you just gonna keep on posting low effort comments because you're salty?

too many topics. here face camping. becouse healthy grab is only possible from camp.

Or be like those salty survivors. you hook, two try to save, you defend the hook, guy on hook dies, sends saltiness how u suck with camping.

Now enjoy running around all safe loops, abusing snowman to get 2nd chance, DH validation. so that in that 1minute chase 3 gens will pop and you will say GG ez win :)

but as long the games is evolving around balancing “4” v 1 and where “equal” mmr will never be balanced game in 4v1, ill enjoy some sweat killer matches otherwise enjoy abusing mentioned and boons, and call how game is balanced becouse BHVR loves survivors more

  • @Marigoria said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2702092#Comment_2702092

Clearly my opinion means enough for you to reply to me and try to act snarky about it.

No i just love how in all posts, you sweat to last drop defending how balanced and hard to win as survivor is, while always mocking on how killer is OP in all aspects and calling a author of a post how most likely is unskilled trash.

day will come, eventually in next decade where they will decide to tweak on a killer side. I bet 100e ull be that first in a row crying

  • But interesting that bhvr grab logic does not apply to a healing a dying survivor either. Gee I wonder why with reviving at exit door you can block a pick up? Oh right, another 2nd chance tool

Yes you provoked a killer instead running out, but a survivor can help you with this magnificent trick.

  • @SRGII said:

Game is out right trash, everthing is set to favour the survior. as 4 people spending money on this game is more important than balance.

i dont know what brings a swf or survivors to spend more

money on cosmetics? killer are actually ones forced to buy chapters just becouse of meta perks :) optionally even cosmetics

  • @Marigoria said:

Because killers already need to be very skilled to facecamp, so they need something to help them do it better.

Says the survivor who runs around 3 boxes for 40 seconds before dropping safe pallet. omg i loop you 3 gens and then i used DH to window vault.

Faking unhook, or getting downee where yet animation and unhooking is completed.

Not to mention how grab gets converted into hit

  • Overall opinion:

You either have to be aggresive in early game and get some hooks while CI is active or to get stacks on No way out.

Generators with CI managed to last longer (just regarding to active status) but alot of time it ended up with survivors hidding until CI worn off (reasonable tactic).

Using No way out and trying to achieve end game, it was always the same 1-2 hooks = 3 generators. End of match varieted.

Tried multiple hex build(s), hexes always dissapeared in first minute or two. Even with undying + ruin/retribution+ haunted ground + devour. This full hex build was in trying to see, how long will they last. They also did not last long. Only possible way to extend time was by trying to protect them (unyieldings aura reveal). retribution + haunted (if the order of cleanse was right) gave them some fear

Also tried blood favor in other builds, it got cleansed after 2-3minutes into the game. I assume since ruins is fastly noticable, so it can help with the hunt for it.

(multiple!) Boons were present in each game. And thunderstorm was quite wild.

Movement of survivors + preforming 360, the aim dressing is honestly horrible. the 360ing somehow spoils the lunge or even normal hit unless you are stricly hugging them. A lot of potential hits went either 1-2 inch short or completly wrong direction.

A lot of safe loops are extremly time consuming. Spinning in circle and squeezing last second before pallet drop or dropping the chase. Either way, generator will pop up sooner or later and you are left empty handed.

DH dash can really prolong chases with the help, but im not aiming at nerf here.

Survivors body blocking can also do the clutch in the meaning of a turntable. Is it annoying? Definetly. Does it require a nerf? Perhaps with combination of BT, should be “punishable” by getting downed again.

So tldr; without any “strategic” perks where you want the game

to head and without optimal play, it will most likely always end up with either 0-1K.

Even in the most cases where I ended up with 1K was endgame tunnel of obsession via rancor.

    In conclussion, regarding

my experiance today, majority of perks and killers are obsolete

The games have extremely fast pace, in the blink of an eye you are in end game. Single mistake through whole match can cost a killer of loosing whole game.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Not sure what the problem is. The game wouldn't be balanced at all it killers could run non-meta things and consistently compete with survivor meta. We'd have a problem if good killers with meta perks couldn't compete, but that's simply not the case.

but it was one weird match. So overall until now i ended up with 0-1K. So just solely on me, you cant judge the balance

  • @Myla said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2700818#Comment_2700818

So you got a 3K by playing optimal? That would be considered a win? Thought a killer have a good chance on winning when Killers are playing optimal when you're not abiding by the survivor rule book anyway. Expecting an easy win when the other team brought their strongest build and played efficient when you didn't bring anything strong is a bizarre mindset.

according for BHVR a victory is supposed to be via 2K+.

    for me personally is 4K.

They could have won, but made a few mistakes toward the end, which ended up as it is. was it a throw, or they gave me 3K, we will never know.

But in my conclusion, playing without (meta) perks that are somehow linked with gens is impossible.

on average 1-2hooks was always equal to 3 gens pop up.

Lets also take into the account that I always had a luck, that I headed in direction which started a chase. And each chase involved DH with safe loop.

Gyms are always 50:50 you can either win by a mind game, while he jogs around; or you meet a survivor who knows optimal routed and idle and peeking corner; where mind game is well earnt time by survivors

  • @Myla said:

So the survivor's brought their strongest builds and you're surprised you lost with amazing fashion when you didn't bring your strongest build too?

I mean I get that game is unbalanced on High MMR but come on man the comparison is just unfair.

    Why apples and oranges?

This is the exact meaning of dbd state.

That whole gameflow is evolving around same things. Brand new part is always present.

DH BT DS are standardized into base kit.

    I managed with a little bit of sweat I know…to gain 3K

perks and toolbox with BNP was 3x.

Where I used pig with addons that they all started with trap on head + reduced timer.

save the best for the last, rancor, spirit fury? and nemesis

  • As said. I want to try everything that is not meta. So im cleaning dust of everything.

So yes I am not defining as killer + perks + addons.

But saying that was as no “meme” loadouts. I still want to achieve victory.

So last game ended even faster.

    2 hooks = 3 gens

    On average 1gen per minute.

Some take downs are then again rng.

safe loop -> force pallet -> snowman free hit

So yes, snowman can be pain in the a..but it is still rng

So yeah killer mains, I would be delight, if you could experiment non meta, wipe dust of old killers and perks and share your experience

edit: maybe bhvr can get any useful feedback from this experience that will help to evolve our game.

Let this topic keep an academic approach.

  • @Akumakaji said:

Pro-Tip for next Halloween: use Bubba with the blight serum, its just too much fun when you all of the sudden fling yourself over half the map, bump into a wall next to a shocked and flappergasted survivor and then start sawing.

exactly what i was doing :D

  • @SloppyVoldemort said:

Yeah, those matches suck. Try to laugh it off and move on to the next.

Maybe next time just give them the win by standing at the exit gates and open it, when you don't stand a chance. Most of the time you can feel it coming. Don't give them any chase points or something else. They walk away with like 10k points, which isn't much. And just watch some youtube or something to pass time to move to the next round.

This is not a rant or please feel sorry for me.

I am trying out killers and perks that are not any sort of meta.

As I said, I dont want to mention games where you are against baby survivors or just random soloQ who dont perform well.

BHVR is pointing finger toward SWF, and multiple tools that survivor can use.

So the way game evolves compared to what tons of perks and killers we have on disposal.

No meme loadouts but not sweating as hard as it goes either.

Camping is out of scope and tunneling is viable. If somebody that was hooked i meet on patrol, i chase; if in a group there is a wounded guy, i go for him.

So its not that strict tunneling, as chasing across the map only guy.

I also know when to drop chase, since gens are more important than chasing one guy with a luck of tiles rng.

I myself, am honestly also getting bored, of only following meta perks and meta killers.

It makes me sad to have 6 pages of perks and 26 or so of killers, where things that are actually effective right now, can be counted on single hand

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/300495/dead-hard-nerf-or-change

If the developers thought Dead Hard needed a nerf, they would have nerfed it when they were fixing the hit-validation a patch or two ago. They obviously aren't seeing data indicating that Dead Hard is out-performing other endurance perks.

With the current state. Im not sure if they even look at those data numbers nor how exactly they look at them. Data itself means alot and nothing, especially not in thinking of the purpose of DH usage. intentional, coincidentally or just panic fail

  • Why CI?

Try using lethal pursue for instance. 90% of matches, 3/4 survivors are spawning on top of the gen.

If I want to play a game for 2minutes longer I do use CI.

The biggest core issue are maps and spawns itself. But luckily on backwater swamp, now you can kick gen from sideway

  • Not to mention as lunge goes into some corner of loop. And it (im pretty sure) also priorities to try and perform protection hit rather than downing injurer survivor

  • or play killer for a week. I lve heard civilization is a good game.

And assuming, this topic was opened after some bad matches :)

  • She deserves the nerf - screech sound is way to loud. Being nurse main definetly helps you get deaf in next few years

  • @Ruma said:

Also it says its releasing in march..

Does this mean we get health chapters?

    i like your humor

  • swf is not a problem. also coh is completely balanced. hit validations is flawless as the anti cheat system. everbody will tell you that, and how sbmm is organizing games, yet all the pros are so sad to play soloQ for some reason (maybe weakest link of swf).

Killer is still very strong, well except when nea body blocks you while she is high on BT.

but even the SWF with gen rushing still struggles way too much, becouse by the bhvr standards you have to sweat really hard to win (equal to 2k).

so we dbd needs more advantage on survivor side and rework majority of maps, becouse there are not enough (safe) pallets, and it is bizzare not satisfying that only half the loops you can run around for 40s before connecting to another pallet.

tldr; nobody cares for killers, maybe go play some civilization, its a good game. Be happy that new chapter will have another ptb nerfed killer to fit into standards of dbd and being tbagged across the realms

  • placing totem boon for 12 or 24 seconds, indoor maps (since no floor limitation) or on other side or gens is well invested time. so many unhook, protection hits or when chase being dropped.
