for gen rushers we got bloodwarden
Yeah but only works if they either go down right next to the gate and a hook is readily available or they´re noobs that just open the exit gates.

Pretty standard builds though. At least they didn´t throw Object in the mix :)

It specifically says: "Hit 5 Survivors with your weapon while that Survivor is Exposed."
It doesn't say that they need to be Healthy.
I just hit a Survivor twice in my trial while they were Exposed, and i got a total of 3 Exposed hits in that trial.
But i only got 1 to register for the challenge, because that one Survivor i hit twice was using No Mither.
I feel robbed. 😥
Feelsbadman. I did it with a fun Ghostface Build:
Spies from the Shadows, Hex: Devour Hope, Hex: Haunted Grounds, Hex: retribution. Lerys Offering. Chewed Pen and Olsens Adress Book.
They used a Coldwind offering and won, still got like 7 Exposed downs that match. Would have been so much more fun on Lerys though :D

So I'm still playing with bubba hours and hours after the recent add on buff, and I have this (old but now even stronger ) bubba's basement build to rush matches AFAF, and even compete with teams of 3000/4000 hrs
The build is: IRON GRASP, AGITATION, TERRITORIAL IMPERATIVE RUIN
How to do it: Check where the basement is, and protect the closest gens to the basement AT ANY COST, EVEN SHOULD YOU LOSE 2/3 GENS. Patrol the 3 gen area as much as possible, and don't let them touch those 3 gens!
If you are 100% sure there isn't anyone in that particular area of the map, go across the map and try to down someone. If you cannot afford to hook into the basement, try to hook them as close as you can to that specific area of the map.
If you hooked into the basement, go away from the basement for territorial imperative, but always check if there's someone near, territorial should be only a failsafe if you didn't pay enough attention or if you wanna risk going a bit further to the other gens.
Prevent them from getting out of the basement, down salty rescuers and that's it.
IF YOU EVER MENAGED TO DOWN ANOTHER SURVIVOR JUST SLUG HIM, DON'T LET THEM WIN WITH BORROWED TIME, HUGE ADVICE.
Once you killed they first person the match will slow down a lot, and you can even afford to pip!
I´d switch rin for Insidious though for even more Salt :P

You´re right but only regarding the lower/casual skill brackets.

I also think it´s the single most broken perk in-game. I made a lengthy post about why I think its too strong, especially in a swf.
I find myself tunneling the object more often than not,too - they get what they ask for.
It´s really unfun though to being forced in a hopeless situation just because the team uses object(s). It should be the next perk the Devs look into, since as of right now it gives more ofthen than not information about who the killer is, where the killer is and what the killer is doing at all times to the whole team with basically no downside other than tempting the killer to tunnel the object and thereby throwing the game.
I didn´t get a Dev to give a statement regarind OoO though, which is a shame. I´m in support of them more often than not and I´d find it truly shocking if they thought Object is fine.
-
Clown is part of my roster (rather low on that but still) so I´d appreciate some buffs to him. I also think it´s gonna be Huntress next, or Myers.
Since the Shape is one of my mains I hope he gets buffed across the board and not "slight addon adjustments" like the Nurse back then.
-
I very rarely use mangled addons, usually because there are better alternatives if I choose to put on some addons.

Your math must be way off as today I performed a D strike on a killer immediately vaulted a window with lithe and the killer still caught up to me well within your mathematical 33 seconds and that was with me running in about as straight of a line as I could. solely to create distance. Again perks are used as a deterent to prevent tunnelers which most can agree is a bad type of killer, then it needs to be something killers truly fear to play against. Also this build uses two perk slots.
No, unless you ran really poorly or the killer had some movement enhancing ability. My point holds true, check the stats to verify if you like.

I find noed is balanced its just theres no way to know how many totems are left for solo q. I'd rather they buff Small Game by telling you how many totems are left in the match. Would be a nice QoL buff to an already decent perk :)
Since I play soloq exclusively I agree. Not too long ago I read a suggestion for a sort of shrine with candles on it, indicating how many totems remain in the trial. Seemed really neat.

I propose a significant change to decisive strike. If this perk was designed to to prevent people from getting tunneled then it needs to be so broken that it actually prevents killers from tunneling people. I propose that Decisive strike should always be available for at least 60 seconds regardless of what level, however the stun time is what changes. 5 seconds is no where near enough time. 6 seconds at level one, 7 seconds at level 2, 8 seconds at level three. In addition instead of a one time use, every time you are freed from the hook it activates.
Now a proposal for a new perk if you have any plans for introducing new survivors. Weightlifter. a perk that increases stun times by X%. I say 50% at level three. If someone were the use both recommended perks at level three that could equal 12 seconds of stun time. One that gives the survivor time to actually create space, and two it severally punishes killers who cant seem to out grow tunneling people. When you get faced with a possible 2 12 second stuns, just the threat of it will prevent most killers from tunneling people.
5 seconds is a long time. If you were to just run in a straight line you would gain 20 meters on the Killer. Most Killers move at 115% or 4,6 Meters, meaning they gain 0,6 Meters per second on you. So to make up for the 20 meters of distance you gained the Killer would have to chase you for an additional 33 seconds.
While he does that, 3x33(99) seconds of the required 400 seconds of gen time are getting completed if no other speed enhancing gen mechanics are involved. See how strong 5 seconds of stun are? I don´t think new stun mechanics or buffing them is a good idea given the current pace of matches.
-
Yeah NOED can feel so frustrating at times. Yesterday a NOED Spirit got me at the end right at the gate, mere feet away from getting my last map achievement (Hawkins). Feltbadman.
On the flipside it would be pretty unfair to just remove a killer perk that can feel frustrating for survivors at times yet doing nothing to compensate. Maybe identify 2nd chance perks and limit them to 1 per survivor also? :P
I´m not for it. Hopefully someone will come up with nice solutions to the most imbalanced perks and gets heard by the devs so the game will feel more fair and balanced.
-
I get the idea but I also think that the map offerings we are given kinda serve the same purpose already. Of course I´d like to avoid, let´s say Indoor maps on trapper or rotten Fields on Myers, but if I really want to I just burn a map offering I feel content with.
Plus, and this is more of a personal thing, when I get a really tough map for the Killer I chose I kinda like the challenge sometimes.

It´s gotten bad. Many people consider 15+/20 Killers unequipped to deal with skilled survivors. Unfortunately, there´s some truth to that.
I used to be a billy main back in the day but that´s long over. I understand why people pick the stronger killers, though.
They might enjoy them, or at least enjoy their power level. I play mainly low tier Killers and it´s a hell of a lot more work for much less reward often.

I would love to be able to play low tier Killers in high rank but the problem is, the outcome of the matches mostly relies on the (in)competence of the Survivors rather than your own playstyle & skill. And that makes it really frustrating sometimes, to the point where I just completly avoid playing certain Killers.
Well I partially agree. This statement holds true when versing teams like the Legacy Team and the likes but in the vast majority of matches I believe you can do fine with any killer if you´re skilled at them. I know, doesn´t help when you´re gettin rekt by a hardcore squad. I still enjoy those matches because it´s extremely rare to get totally crapped on.
Sometimes it´s about maximising chances though, but that´s just part of the game.

...you're literally called baby boy so yes, I call you baby.
You can blame it on these things:
- the Devs for creating so many unviable Killers for high skill matches
- the Survivors for constantly asking for unjustified Killer nerfs
- the toxic Survivors for trolling every low tier Killer they come across
^this. I´d also love to see a larger variety of Killers that can hold their ground on high level play. I´m pretty much always rank 1 with Myers, Trapper, Clown, Ghostface and Oni but I do feel in the minority here,

Even if you let them win they'll feel compelled to message and harass you. God forbid you win as a killer then you'll never hear the end about how bad you are....from the people who lost to you. Why should anyone be killer when the survivors act like brats?
Look man, it´s an online game. It´s everywhere on the internet. Many people feel the need to be douchey and there´s not much one can do about it unless they resort to REALLY strong language. I also know it can be expecially bad with DBD, but can you honestly say u never have nice interactions with the opponent, be it survivors or killers?
Maybe it´s just me but those unpleasant encounters have dropped in numbers it seems. Note: I do not tunnel unless I have to, same with camping. I don´t use NOED unless I wanna meme. I do not use the small PP build or god forbid OoO. I don´t insult my fellow dbd players unless they start something.
All this helps I guess, all I can say is I often find myself having a nice chat with the survivors ( I´m a Killer main).
There are so many cool people playing this game, but the special snowflakes that get hurt no matter what you do...forget about them, I don´t think they can be helped. Keep your spirits high dude.

I'm kinda caught between leatherface, oni, and pig. Are any of those better than your picks, in terms of perks and powers?
I suggest you go with Leatherface then. BBQ is the most important grinding perk and a staple in many killer builds.
Oni is awesome but I wouldn´t recommend him unless you have fitting teachables unlocked.
-
Clown, although a weak killer, brings nice perks - bamboozle and pgtw.
Plague has great teachables too. I can also recommend michael myers.
Go with these, many of their perks are used in a variety of killer builds.
-
I´d also love that. There´s a lots of perks they could buff, but given the previous perk change record it seems it takes a while to do that.

So we have a ton of white characters because, obviously. But for POC characters we have Jane, Zarina, and Ace maybe. Three... we only have three POC characters. The same is with black characters... the three black characters are, claud, Tapp and Adam. Which is even worse because we only have ONE black woman which is the most hated group of people for some reason even though they’re the prettiest on the planet. And the Tapp is a licensed character so they didn’t even take the time to design the character and choose the race so practically there’s only two. And then theirs two Asians. Come on bhvr gives us more POC! And if you have a new chapter idea and survivor who is white just change them to black. It costs no effort whatsoever
I´m glad you didn´t word this in a hateful, rage fueled Karen way. I agree there´s definately room for more, but in my opinion they did a pretty good job so far diversity-wise.

Thats fair, I personally always saw TCM as the first real slasher but I see where your coming from. I just think the new one was way more tense. After he killed the kid I honestly started second guessing everything, the new one ignored the tropes, the original created them. I see the respect for it but people have called me mentally disabled for thinking the new one was better. I’m glad the comments here seem to be more supportive though. Thank you for being so understanding.
That´s fair too, a case can be made for TCM here for sure. I guess people calling you mentally disabled for an opinion about a movie says more about them than about you though.

Yeah, I was honestly so shocked when Michael straight up murdered the kid, music was phenomenal. Most people think the OG is an untouchable masterpiece, and while I think it was good I really don’t see the hype. Most horror fans get real upset when I say I liked 2018 more.
The Love for the Original Halloween results from a contemporary perspective. It was the first real Slasher (yes, there are movies that heavily paved the way for this but still). For it´s time it was phenomenal and it held up as a great movie for the longest time.
I´ve seen every Halloween movie time and again, and I must say the 2018 sequel/reboot is definately up there with the original imo.

Imagine thinking Spirit takes skill along with an ebony mori.
Actually, it does. Less than Nurse or Billy, but still, nobody could install dbd, qeue as Spirit and stomp a good team.
Don´t get me wrong I also think she´s overtuned. I play neither Nurse nor Spirit but to many people it´s nice to have Killers available that aren´t forced into the standard M1 play (hence losing to the good 4mans) and be strong.
Op, I suggest you check out the Legacy Survivor team. They can showcase good survivor play really well.
-
There´s actually not much you can do. Good survivor 4 man groups that are hellbent on winnign will win 95% of the time, the 5% being the very best nurse/spirit players with the best perks/addons and an ebony mori or they get unbelievably unlucky somehow.
You see this in the tournaments, pretty much only Nurse and Spirit are picked if the rules allow it, since any other killer simply gets steamrolled. It is what it is.
But the saving grace is not every 4 man is trying to win so it´s fine /s
Don´t take it to heart man it happens to everyone

Legit, real question. I honestly haven't seen any actual, legitimate answer to this. Essentially 100% of it I've seen so far on the forums is people crying about very specific scenarios and how they got caught while doing it.
Generally speaking, it can be the map setup. This goes for both Killer and Survivor.
Then there´s Killers many people feel are too strong/too weak. Good Examples would be Spirit, Freddy, Clown or Trapper.
Regarding perks, there are a few things to note here. I think DS/UB combo is too strong, as are stacked 2nd chance perks in general.
I think Noed is too strong - check out Otz´s Noed facecamp experiment. It enables a lazy playstyle than still renders good results, I don´t like it.
The worst offender in my opinion is Object of Obsession. It´s bad when solo survivors use it and it´s the strongest perk in the game in a SWF, no doubt about it.
Which brings me to the last thing I think is unbalanced: SWF. Don´t get me wrong, I´m all in favor of the feature but I also strongly believe it needs tweaking of some sorts as comms give survivors like what...6 additional info perks so they can fully commit to stack chase/2nd chance perks. It´s been discussed forever but I haven´t seen a good suggestion that doesn´t involve removing some of the fun aspect for survivors. It´s tough.
-
I also have issues with DBD that I´d LOVE to see adressed but I truly believe they are doing the best they can.
It´s not that advisable to comply to any community suggestion btw. I´ve seen crazy stuff on here.
If we wantt something changed the best way would be to campaign for it, collect opinions and criticism, gather enough people and make yourselves heard. And not like every other post that´s something along the lines of "bEhAviOr hAteS kilLeRs/suRvIVorS, DeVs kILliNG tHe GAmE/ x/y is #########. Be reasonable, people.
Look what happened when everyone seemed to want something done about ranks. So carefeul what you wish for.

Yes this doesnt effect map offerings i believe its meant so if the killer brings the offering to make hooks closer together but survivors bring one to make them further apart they cancel each other out.

Thank you, I wasn´t aware of that.

So what? DS is just remarkable under a specific situation, otherwise its just ineffective. Same goes for Unbreakable. It brings Zero benefit if the killer doesnt play wrong. Stop complaining about non issues you make up cause youre bad.
So Killers using efficient tactics to even the playing field against good survivors is wrong, noted.
-
@slunder said:
Killer mains tend to complain about survivor meta when they are the ones that cause it to happen in the first place. This also applies to some survivors, but mostly it is just killers that do this. This does not apply to every killer player.
Here is what they do: they camp and tunnel a survivor to death and then, in such a way that it is impossible for that survivor to escape without decisive strike. Then, the fun build survivor that just wanted to have fun realizes that he does not stand a chance because the killers he goes against will camp and tunnel if they are losing. He used decisive strike and borrowed time, and then the killer mains ask why they get decisive strike to be used unfairly.
But think of it: most survivors run decisive strike and borrowed time to counter tunnelers and campers, not to be a dickhead. Maybe a side effect from decisive is that the survivor that was tunneled last game ends up using DS for countering this, but he ends up using it after 59 seconds. So, this is my message: killer mains, if you ever camp or tunnel, fine, it is in the game, but stop bitching when you realize survivors are using counter perks. Survivors do not want to lose instantly without being able to do anything, which is why they run the perk. I, myself, used to avoid meta perks, but really, after getting those free wins strats killers, I decided to switch to use borrowed or decisive.
If you do not tunnel or camp, then you complaints are legit and you deserve to argue. However, if you are a killer main that tunnels and then cry about survivors using counter-play, then you are just entitled to your victory.
****This post can also be applied to survivors that are t-bagging and stuff like that and then complain about camping, but they are more rare, so yea.****
Unfortunately in many cases the Killer is forced to "tunnel" (broad term) unless they wanna go full sweat spirit/nurse against decent survivors. It´s also the clever and efficient thing to do, and I know it sucks as Survivor.
You can´t blame Killer players for trying to play well. You also can´t blame survivors for trying to play well. I understand your reasoning behind it. The problem is that the Survivors counter for the Killers action in the form of the DS/UB/ExhX combo, commonly known as the smol pp build, has no counterplay whatsoever as of now other than to throw the game to spite them for using it.
So Killers complaining about having no counter for that actually IS valid since they got countered in the first place.
I myself try to provide fun matches for everyone when I can, but when I verse skilled survivors that have more hours in DBD than Michael Thompson in Prison, u bet I play efficiently as Killer, because I know they won´t go easy on me if I slip.

I'm of the same idea. That way potatoes can't feed Myers at the start of the match, but at the same time they won't be unstalkable towards the end.
Yep. In my opinion this would be totally reasonable to change. Hopefully they do something for Michael soon.
-
I think the most approriate way to enhance his Stalk mechanic would be to have survirors slowly regenerate evil. With 4 survs loading in, 40 points of evil are spread among them, giving each survivor 10 as of now.
I´d say let them regenerate evil at a rate of, let´s say 1 every 15 seconds (to prevent stalk abuse) and put it on the next PTB, see how it turns out or if Myers becomes too oppressive to deal with ;-)
-
It´s totally OP since you could hold off on it till you need it. At the start of a match it can be kind of a waste yet once the gates are powered it´s a near guaranteed escape.
-
@sulaiman said:
There are also 2 contradicting arguments that come into play.
a) there are so much swf, the game would die if you nerf them in any way
b) swf is a minority, thats why you cant balance the game around swf.
SWF is an issue, but they don´t want to adress it. Its that simple.
Exactly. Since so many people play in a swf (which I´m in no way against, I mean, come on let friends play a coop game) yet in the case of DBD it causes massive balance issues. They haven´t been adressed for YEARS and I doubt they ever will.
So yeah, just like survivor players having to deal with 3k hours ebony mori Spirits and Forever Freddys, killers have to deal with swf ( not the best comparison but I feel it´s about equally as frustrating).
BHVR is hesitant to touch on the matter since they hold some sort of customer power through sheer numbers.
On a side note I think it´s hard to balance it without making it less fun for survivors, so there´s that. It puts the devs in a tough spot.
-
Not the worst, but surge could use some tweaks. Either lower/remove the CD or make the regression stronger.
Dying light: Remove the Altruism buff (it´s silly af) and increase the numbers slightly.
Deja Vu: Permanently show the revealed generator´s auras, maybe use their auras to show progress on them
There are more but I am lazy
-
Sad to say this but Ghostface> Myers
Better early game, more versatile power that doesn´t hinder him at the start, no stalk range penalty, higher skill ceiling, better stealth.
-
I would love it if they skipped a chapter to put all their time and effort into game polishing. In the long term it would be the better choice to keep DBD going and growing.
Unfortunately, improving the game is nothing they can really monetise, hence we will get more chapters and a lot of $ skins to accompany those. This is not meant to shame them for wanting their product to generate money, but many players are frustrated about the speed at which problems of the existing content are getting adressed. So I wouldn´t hold my breath on game improvement changes.
-
You never have to respect self unhooks. It´s a gamble the player takes, and if they do it in the Killer´s face, that´s on them.
Had luck stacking group recently as trapper. All got out of traps really quickly..
-
I bring moris for dailys, keys or if I there´s a particularly douchbag survivor I have encountered previously. Never as petty revenge cuz I had a bad match before though.

Yes, mainly because the majority of players play solo queue and even then the cases of survivors using OoO is isolated. Also how it game breaking? In a swf they really don't need OoO as someone could just chase the killer and tell the other survivors everything that they see, or when its safe to do gens
Well, first Object removes the need to have a survivor doing that - hence 1 more survivor is working on gens.
Secondly your statement doesn´t really hold up. I can´t remember the exact numbers but most games include at least a 2 man premade.
-
@notameatybassriff98 said:
It might be very strong in a swf, but it really has no use in solo queue and is pretty useless. It also might be strong, but it doesn't need a rework or a nerf because of how useless it is for the majority of players, especially the playerbase that mostly plays solo queue
So let me see if I got this right. You mean Object being gamebreaking in swf but not so much in soloq means it is fine?
