More ketamine. He has a pretty high learning curve but is very powerful when played well.
Indoor maps can limit him but he's not completely shut down either. The most I think he needs is some of his add-ons tweaked.
I've used his recently changed Soul Chemical add-on, that causes survivors healing and repairing to get a "difficult" skill check if you rush towards them, but it doesn't stack with Unnerving Presence and is generally worse than what it was before.
On the opposite side of the scale the Alchemist's Ring is borderline broken if you're able to keep landing hits. It turns Blight into a slightly worse version of Nurse before she got her cooldowns, except with even more map pressure.

I've found it incredibly satisfying to pallet stun a killer while they zoom at me with it.
Edit: also how is it a flex to show that you couldn't defend a single generator?
This is implying that it's possible to defend all 5 gens every game if you play well. Which is physically impossible.
It's a flex because if you manage to get all 5 tokens and still kill everyone you've won the game and not lunged a single time. Relying solely on your skill with your power to get downs.
-
I've figured out as much when I first started playing them. Victor is not a good tool against healthy survivors so the only good way to use him is as a literal baby monitor at hooks.
You can even get Devour Hope tokens while camping with him because it only checks where Charlotte is and not Victor.
-
He was never trash. People were trash with him.
I've played him since release and I can safely say he's top tier on most maps if played well.
-
I agree. Being able to switch to Charlotte without the horrendous slowdown will definitely be an improvement.
-
It depends on how you control gens. You want to project the gen in the centre at all costs. If it goes, your map pressure goes with it. Killers like Clown, as I'm sure you already know, aren't very good at exerting map pressure.

do you have a link to that video?
It doesn't matter which one.
I was throwing some shade at Paulie since he has a habit of wildly and inaccurately speculating about which killer will be released next. I think he's been correct only once or twice out of dozens of theories.
-
Is this an indirect way of assassinating me?

I can tell you who it isn't going to be.
Just look at the latest speculation video from Paulie Esther.

Nah. Beast of Prey needs it more.

completely disagree with you about coup de grace.100% lunge was way too overpowered and needed to be nerfed.
It was a mediocre perk at best and had no reason to be nerfed. Here's a few reasons why:
- Survivors control when the perk activates, not you. Although you can choose to lunge once a generator pops, you have no control over when gens are repaired. This can be inconvenient if a generator completes while you're in a chase are about to go for a lunge. I found that often times a normal lunge would have hit the person I'm chasing and I end up wasting a token with no way save it without wasting time.
- The perk only increases the duration of the lunge, not the speed. It doesn't make the lunge twice as fast. It only makes it last twice as long. It's not a catch-all for a free hit at loops.
- You can only use it 5 times in a single game. Assuming you're playing one of the many M1 killers in the game you'll need to land at least 8 basic attacks to down everyone and many more to finish them off. Coup De Grace allows only a tiny portion of the lunges you take to be boosted. This is mainly why it's so underwhelming.
-
God I hope not. This game does not need officially licensed rule 63 skins.

Ngl if someone has victor on them for too long they should either get injuried or just downed, that way it could deter people from stealing the power.
Or at least have Victor's aura revealed from the get go. I think one of the Ultra-rare add-ons could be rebalanced to allow Victor to down people if they don't get him off in a certain amount of time.

@savevatznick said:
In true BHVR fashion, they're making a couple of 4head obvious good changes that should have been there from the beginning, and then nerfing a useless meme perk even further for no discernable reason.
Yeah...
-
I'm kinda surprised that someone roleplaying as a killer gets the same amount of distain as someone who would claim that Trapper needs a nerf. If not more.
Anyway, the reason the people find killer stressful is the sheer amount of time and resource management you have to do when going up against good or even decent survivors. Every single mistake you do could potentially end the game for you but survivors can make many mistakes and still have a decent chance of winning.
Playing killer is a tight rope race where everyone else gets a safety net to fall into except you. That's why so many people find it stressful.
-
Unless I'm running a stupid gimmick build I'm going to play as efficiently as possible.
That means punishing survivors that unhook in my face, are out of position, or otherwise just making mistakes. Playing this way is the only way for me to actually improve as a killer. As you would expect I get complaints daily for not coddling the people I'm supposed to kill.

######### yeah his skill cap remember me when I tried to learn Nurse, he is insanely hard, probably the 2th hardest killer in the game after the Nurse
Indeed. I hope my advice helps you get better with him.
Is there anything else you want to know about playing him?
-
I have played Blight religiously since the PTB. He easily one of the strongest killers in the game and has one of the highest skill ceilings. Here are some tips.
- Try to lunge at survivors from an angle and not directly behind them. Although you turn far slower while rushing, you can still angle your attacks to your left or right. Doing this before attacking a survivor makes it way harder for them to dodge you since they can't simply side-step you if you were going straight
- Learn which loops you can bounce off. This is only learnt through experimentation. Not every loop is Blight friendly. But to name a few, generic jungle gyms, the shack, and L + T walls are all very unsafe against a good Blight.
- Learn to properly slide off objects during an attack. A lethal rush has 0 aim-dressing when you attack. You can use this to get survivors around corners by attacking before you bounce off the surface so you slide off and attack them when you pass by.
- Practice. An obvious tip, but the most useful. I'd recommend you use his training wheels add-ons, the one that auto-aims you towards survivors after a bounce and the other that show you where your rush is heading, and just keep playing him. For me the Blight is the most rewarding killer in the game to get good with. Stick with him for long enough and muscle memory will start doing the rest.
-
I've had experiences with this species of survivor. As a killer it's like hunting season came early. But my god if it isn't painful to be working with these people.
-
I wouldn't complain if it were buffed given the niche situations that it becomes useful in. But I think all that needs to be done, as you said, is just make it activate when the final gen is completed.
-
Hey! That's a pretty neat idea.
-
I've never liked the term that Scott gave the DS + Unbreakable combo, despite how broken it is. And using it to describe a killer build that can be shut down with RNG just makes me dislike it more.
-
I agree.
Most of the posts you've mentioned, although written by different people, tend to just be saying the exact same thing as each other.

I am two for two with this build. It’s so boring until you either pop tier 3 or get max stacks of PWYF.
First map was Lerys, I found three survivors quick and was able to hit T2 quickly. T3 took forever. Killed one, downed and hooked a second, killed the third with one gen left and then the last popped right by an exit. Blendette ran right to the exit and I made it there before she got to the gate and killed her.
Second map was a four stack and they put up Ormund. This was DOOOOOODOOOOOO. Myers is so slow, map is so large. They gen rushed me, I got down to one gen and it was almost done when I hit tier 3. Killed someone, hooked another, killed a third. Fourth guy let the hooked guy die and I closed hatch but I had my Trail activated, so once I closed hatch I had NOED going with Trail activated but only one stack of PWYF.
But the Feng slowly came around the corner right into me. I can only assume she was defecating on herself as I killed her until she died from it.
Cool build, would suck against competent gen rushers though.
Yeah. Sadly Michael doesn't have any tools for pressuring the game besides just stalking people.
I hope he gets a number of buffs in the future because he really needs them.
One of them could be removing the distance scaling on his stalk so he gets the maximum stalk no matter how far the survivor is, like how Ghost Face stalks people. It makes no sense for stalking to be somehow less effective the further you are from someone.

Because either you're not smart enough to hide your true agenda or you now want to defend and backtrack on it when called out. You know exactly what you were implying.
If your post blatantly propagates opinions like this which are forever the bane of this community then why should anyone care about your post.
You're making a mountain out of nothing.
Saying that survivors will gen rush you is like saying that killers will hook you. It's both side's respective job. I mentioned it because once survivors realize that you've been stalking them for a while and haven't got to Evil 3 yet they'll work to get the gens done faster before you reach it.
Your accusation that I'm propagating opinions that are "the bane of this community" are laughably unfounded and lacking in self-awareness.

Yeah I stopped caring when you said "survivors will try to gen rush you". Why do people like you still have such a problem with the survivors actually completing the one thing that is required from them? Get it through your thick skull already.
I didn't know it was possible to miss the point so thoroughly.
The entire point of this post is to recommend a build idea I thought was fun. You took one look at a single phrase and instantly came to the conclusion that I'm somehow slighting every single survivor player? How?

Hmm,him being unfun for you is just your opinion.
There are a lot of people, including me,that have a lot of fun playing him.
Changing his power isn't necessary
It isn't necessary, sure. And the game certainly has a lot more urgent changes that need implementing.
But I still think that Demo's current state is a far cry from their terrifying appearance from the show. And I would appreciate an effort to make him more like his character on-screen.
-
I'll test all of the killer powers currently in the game once I get back home later today.

@Spider175 said:
Wait special attack? So does this include setting traps or shocking survivors?
Thankfully Trapper and Hag still retain tokens when setting traps. I believe Doctor can still shock people without losing tokens. But I wouldn't be surprised if he did.
-
The DC penalty is back in the game. They are "working around it" by killing themselves.
If a game starts and a survivor immediately goes to a hook and starts pointing at it, I'd recommend you just slug them and go for the others. Exact a small amount of judgement for their attempts to abandon their team mates because they got a map or killer they don't like.
If you start searching for a game you have no excuses for instantly leaving one, aside from connection issues.
-
Great! Tell me how it goes.

It sounds like a hell of a twist on Burger King Myers.... but it is still Burger King Myers. :) I'll try this when I'm not trying to get to Rank-1. If I played the King against the Red Rank SWF I face all the time, I'd get slaughtered.
Burger king Myers is the Vanity mirror with the Tombstone Piece, lowering your movement speed to 89% with no upside.
This build is a hell of a lot better I can assure you.

I think a TLOU chapter should have two Survivors (Joel and Ellie) and a Killer. I’d like to see the Rat King as a Killer because I thought it was really cool and it would be a shame if all we got from it was just the hospital battle. Just shrink it so it’ll be able to go through openings in DBD.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1678997#Comment_1678997
You can’t kill the Killer. As much as I like Abby, she shouldn’t have messed with Joel like that (I understand why she did though).
However, I don’t think she’ll come to the game because of how other players might act. Imagine someone who isn’t familiar with TLOU just wanting to play Abby because she looks cool only to get mercilessly tunneled or bodyblocked by teammates. She’d easily have the lowest play rate in the game and her Adept would probably be the hardest.
I know why she wouldn't be a killer. I was just meming.
But I love the idea of a multi-headed/limbed abomination such as the Rat King as a new killer.

This is just ######### up man.
Too soon.
You're right. I needed to expand the power description:
power: Joel in one
Press the power button to make one of the survivors act wildly out of character and let their guard down for no discernable reason. The affected survivor can be hit with a basic attack while they are downed to instantly kill them.
After the affected survivor is killed, another survivor will embark on a revenge quest to avenge them but before they're able to kill you they will see a vision of the survivor that you murdered playing a guitar and decide against killing you despite murdering almost all of your friends by this point and giving extremely contradictory messages to all players in the trial.
Any person who thinks that this power is convoluted and poorly written is automatically wrong.

God what haven't I been called? I have on my steam profile a collection of 400+ comments that may very well contain every slur under the sun, and that's not even counting all of the insults I've gotten in real life. Sadly most of them are crudely put together and are not impactful enough to count as a good roast.
I did once encounter a really, really, bad team mate in Among Us recently.
I would have described them as "dumb", "stupid" or "completely and utterly devoid of intelligence". But the synaptic charge produced by their 2 brain cells rubbing together is so unbelievably minor that no modern form of measurement exists that can accurately categorize just how absent of cognitive thought their brain is.
Like a tightrope walker across a chasm boldly straddles the line between life and death with each and every movement, this player walked the line between a single and multi-celled organism. Between the brainlessness of an amoeba and the merest presence of sentient thought.
It was as if they were unable to think, and yet still make incredibly stupid decisions and not vote for the person who killed me right in front of them.
How do you miss something so blindingly obvious you ignorant waste of oxygen I swear to god you are a genetic experiment gone awry and repurposed as a bioweapon to kill the braincells of anyone who just wants to play this game solo you inbred evolutionary mistake all you had to do was vote purple -

Hex: Devour Coke
A Hex rooting its power in coke. The coke you steal from survivors fuels your crippling addiction.
When a survivor is rescued from a hook at least 24 meters away, you receive 1 line of pure, unrefined cocaine.
- 2 Lines: Gain a 30/40/50% Haste status effect for 10 seconds after hooking a survivor, for a duration of 100 seconds.
- 3 Lines: Survivors suffer from the Exposed status effect.
- 5 Lines: Your basic attacks Kill survivors.
This perk can only be equipped by the Clown.

"Haste" pops up when you use SB though....
It's a weird system the game has in place.
I meant the perks that give 7% haste don't stack. Whereas the "haste" from SB, BL, Lithe, etc, does stack.
