Firstly, Stranger Things is back! YAAAAY!!! ๐ ๐ Secondly, now that the devs have programmed an alternate dimension in the Void during the Halloween event, could it be possible to re-work Demo's portals to work similarly to the void? Being able to actually enter the Upside-Down and traverse it before popping back out into reality would not only be far more useful than how Demo's portals curre2 comments 71 views last activity

I just saw a video by D3AD Plays in which he uses an end-game build with Knight. And was pleasantly surprised to see that the Iridescent Banner now properly blocks hunted survivors from escaping as it should! Here is a link to the video in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYz-3R1tkvw This wasn't mentioned anywhere in the patch notes so I thought I would let my fellow Knight players k0 comments 61 views last activity

I'm wondering if Knight's event cosmetics, the rest of which were recently unlocked in the event tome, are his version of other killer's blighted cosmetics. Because it isn't listed as a "Hallowed Blight" set and doesn't have the usual serum sticking out of the killer's back like all of the other blighted sets do. Which has confused me since he it looks like he has the serum coming out of his s5 comments 622 views last activity

As the title says; Knight's guards are now unable to detect survivors who create loud noises within the guard's detection radius. Such as dropping pallets or fast vaulting. This an admittedly a pretty small part of Knight's kit. But it allowed for some interesting plays where you could set up guards around walls and bait survivors into doing something loud to get their attention. These plays are8 comments 291 views last activity

This will be a very simple post about the stats gathered from my last 120 games of DbD. it is not meant to prove anything. I played 40 survivor games & 80 killer games in total. Enjoy! NOTE: The 2nd and 5th most used survivor builds were builds I used in most of my survivor games.5 comments 261 views last activity

PC A survivor in my game was completely unable to be hit. And later became completely invisible. Step 1. Have a survivor go inside a locker. Step 2. Have the survivor jump out of the locker just as Dredge starts teleporting. Step 3. The locker that dredge is inside will be bugged and dredge won't be able to exit it normally. And the survivor's icon will change as if they were being carried, a0 comments 31 views last activity

Dredge is in a fairly good place right now as a killer. But it still suffers from a few issues that this post aims to fix. I will be going over each change to their base power as well as their add-ons. And explaining my reasoning behind each change. Basekit changes - Time for survivors to lock lockers increased to 2 seconds. Currently survivors are able to lock lockers faster than the Dredg4 comments 131 views last activity

In the latest patch, 3 of Knight's add-ons were with seemingly no understanding of what the problems with Knight's add-ons are. Pillaged Mead had the bonus action speed of guards nerfed from 25% to 15%. Tattered Tabard had the extra patrol time of guards buffed from 6 seconds to 8 seconds. Whenever a new perk gets added into DbD it often feels like the devs played a round of roulette with random attributes on each number. And then combined all of the results into the new perk. To showcase exactly why this is, I'll be using two perks on both the survivor and killer side as examples. I'll start with a survivor perk first. Boon: dark theory.7 comments 381 views last activity

Hello. This is going to be the longest post I have ever created. And possibly one of the longest posts ever made in this forum. Knight has always been a very controversial killer and, although I greatly enjoy playing him, I will admit that he has always been blatantly unfinished. I think a lot of people agree that a killer who can summon and control minions is a cool concept. But Knight was neve16 comments 271 views last activity

Broken Hilt used to make guards inflict Mangled. It now inflicts Hemorrhage for some reason. I genuinely don't know if this is a bug or intended change. Considering something similar has already happened with Nemesis' add-ons. Knight needs some changes to a lot of his add-ons. But not like this!3 comments 91 views last activity

I felt compelled to make this post after seeing a P100 survivor run these two add-ons together. They do not work if you run them both at the same time. Only the add-on you've placed in the left slot will activate. Please spread the word to avoid people like this Leon from looking like a fool. EDIT: Nevermind. They apparently do work together now. Just a reminder that out of the last 3 killers released only 1 of them wasn't universally panned for their design, Singularity. And even he isn't very popular because of how much time and practice you need to do well with him. Modern DbD killers being well designed might as well be up to a coin-flip. Everything I feared has come to pass. Cheesing people with condemned has never been more brainless. It only takes 5 easy steps: Equip Iridescent Video Tape + Mother's Comb. A dev update was just released that revealed the changes Onryo would be receiving in the next patch. https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/399 In short: The changes do not fix the problems that her "rework" created. And doesn't stop the widely vilified Condemned Only playstyle from being viable. In fact, Condemned Only is not only still the most viable way to play Onryo.12 comments 941 views last activity

The duration of Overclock increases by 1 second per Slipstreamed survivor. This allows the base duration of Overclock to be increased from 4.7 seconds to 8.7 seconds with all 4 survivors Slipstreamed. This can make the difference between landing a hit or whiffing at most loops. And this information should really be mentioned somewhere is Hux's power description.17 comments 491 views last activity

I decided to create a terror radius gimmick build on Wesker because I was bored. I brought an offering for Autohaven Wreckers because I didn't want to get sent to any of the maps with increased chance to be selected, (RPD, Shattered Square, Garden of Joy) , because those maps are awful. Very self-explanatory post. Just look at the screenshot. My weapon shouldn't cover 25% of the screen! The weapon that Dredge uses as part of his Maurice skin has this same problem. And Wesker covers almost his entire screen whenever he lunges.6 comments 562 views last activity

There's a lot to cover. So I'll be adding in visual references to each section of the update as I break them down. To start off: This is a big win! BP spending getting faster has been asked about for years now. No complaints here. A shame that such a good change precipitates what's to come... Blindness is the weakest status effect in the game right now. Being able to hide auras from survivors is a very small effect that is impossible to notice in most games. Even if several survivors are running aura perks such as Bond and Kindred, there's no way to tell that their perks are being countered because Blindness doesn't have any visual tells. What on earth is the logic in this!?! Why change completely fine perks that noone asked to be changed, just because the killer can now end the game a little faster? Most people know by now that cheating is becoming an epidemic. And that there's very little chance of a good anti-cheat being added anytime soon. So when you enter a game and all five gens are completed within two seconds and the gates are instantly opened you may feel completely helpless. Unsurprisingly, the nerf to Awakened Awareness did absolutely nothing to stop the perk from being one of the most powerful perk combos in the game when combined with Starstuck, Agitation, and Nurse. I'd go so far as to say it's probably one of the most powerful builds in the game right now. On other killers though? Awakened Awareness is an underwhelming gimmick perk that barely does anything. As the title says, running Open-Handed will not increase the range that the killer's aura is revealed when using Wiretap on a gen. I'm hoping this is a bug because Open-handed works with Kindred so it would make sense that it should work with Wiretap considering it also has an aura reading radius. Can a dev confirm if this is a bug or feature?31 comments 2,281 views last activity

Survivor throws and wallsplats after a bound are extremely inconsistent. Certain surfaces cause survivors to slide across them, rather than splatting onto them, which doesn't damage them. His bound randomly doesn't deal damage to survivors. His bound will never deal damage to survivors if Wesker falls off a ledge, allowing survivors to deliberately avoid taking damage if they position themselv23 comments 1,322 views last activity

Nothing quite takes me out of the role of being a homicidal maniac than seeing my machete, hammer, bonesaw, and especially chainsaw , bounce off thin stalks of bamboo like it was made out of concrete. Repressed Alliance activates after repairing a gen for 45 seconds. Flashbang activates after repairing a gen for 50% progress. Since the time to repair a gen is 90 seconds, logically, both perks should activate after repairing a gen to half. But for some reason Repressed Alliance always activates first. I have no idea why this happens. And I'm unsure if this is intended or an undocumented bug.1 comments 11 views last activity

There really is no better example of perk anti-synergy than Dredge's own perks on itself. Both Dissolution and Septic Touch only work if a survivor is within your terror radius. But while Nightfall is active you have no terror radius. So both perks will be rendered useless when the most powerful part of your power activates. The funny thing is that a different killer that can remove his terr8 comments 251 views last activity

Take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt, because all of my evidence is anecdotal, but sometimes I really think that maps are not chosen randomly. On occasion I will be sent to the same map multiple times in row without any map offerings. After the recent patch I attempted to use the newly nerfed MoM to see if I could get some use out of it. And I am not exaggerating when I say it might be the worst survivor perk currently in the game. I've noticed a pattern with DbD's updates over the years. While the game has had glaring issues that actively hamper the experience of players, (Performance problems, bloodpoint grind, bad map design), the devs decided to change things that absolutely no one asked for. Here's a list of the things that I can remember being unnecessarily changed just off the top of my head, in no particular order.41 comments 761 views last activity

For the first time since that horrible boon perk was added, I am now glad whenever I see a boon pop up when playing as Legion. That shining totem becomes a beacon that advertises survivors grouping up together and not repairing gens. I actively leave the totem up just so I can go back later and inevitably catch someone healing there to start to my stabbing spree. I'm going to be playing a lot4 comments 211 views last activity

The power dynamic between hexes and boons is, quite frankly, ridiculous. Survivors can choose wherever they want to light their boon and re-light it an infinite amount of times. Whereas killer hexes are placed randomly around the map and are gone forever once cleansed. This makes no sense given that all 4 survivors can equip and place boons but killers are left to the mercy of RNG. So my suggest6 comments 91 views last activity

As it stands she's in a really rough spot right now. Her only tool during a chase is her flicking, which doesn't work at safe loops. And Condemned might as well not exist unless you use either the Iridescent Video Tape or the Ring Drawing . Why is half of her kit useless unless you bring add-ons just to make it functional? DbD has always had a problem with balancing, I think most people can agree on this. There's a massive amount to be said about maps, perks and the individual powers of certain killers. But today I'm going to be talking about how killers, specifically on the weaker side, suffer from a lack meaningful add-ons to choose from. I'll be using Sadoko as my first example.
