Not with breaking the game with balance issues, not with breaking the game with bugs, but by failing to understand your consumer base. I got to say it's been so nice to see everyone, no matter who they main, uniting against this. Brings a tear to my eye it does! We can now all move onto greener pastures. Not as killer mains or survivor mains; but as friends. ♥️ Personally, I'm so glad it's ove8 comments 191 views last activity

introduction Pinhead is an extremely high skill ceiling killer. There's a lot to consider when playing him against high skill survivors that know what they're doing. Right now I feel the power he offers in exchange for the time and practise needed to get good with him isn't quite 1:1. But he's still fairly strong regardless. I will be going over everything that pertains to his power. From h0 comments 241 views last activity

Why? Why take me to Haddonfield, one of the most survivor friendly maps in the game, only to doom your team mates because I happened to find you first? The game has barely begun and the moment you're in any amount of danger you throw in the towel for what I can only fathom is the most dumb and selfish of reasons. It doesn't happen very often. But my god if it isn't annoying when it keeps happeni6 comments 101 views last activity

Before SBMM my matches, both as killer and survivor, were very unfair match-making wise. There was no consistency in the skill level of my team mates/opponents. And it was by complete chance that I was matched up with people who provided a fair challenge. Now that SBMM is here I have played at least 50+ games and noticed absolutely no difference besides longer que times. I cannot even see what m15 comments 181 views last activity

I've been trying to play Pinhead recently and estimate that I've had around 30 or so completed games with him. And I've gotten both of his achievements. But even despite that I feel that I still haven't quite got the experience to fully talk about him because of how many of my games kept resulting in a crash. But here's a summary of what I think so far1 comments 22 views last activity

So there I was on the Grim Pantry for the 3rd ######### time in a row and I was chasing a Dwight. We neared a loop and started circling around. As we neared the pallet I went for a swing and successful slugged him in the back. I've gone past burnout and entered apathy. There's nothing interesting or fun about the game to me anymore. The last few chapters have only made the game worse overall and this "event" just drove home that same lack of quality. Why would I spend several minutes holding down M1, or running around in circles, when I could be doing literally anything else? You've surely come across this at least once; a post that says something along the lines of "I think that X is the most unfun thing the devs have added and they should remove it!". On some level I can sympathise. God knows this game has more than enough stuff to complain about. The poor balance, map design, and performance issues just to name a few. I was on the Grim Pantry and was using Iridescent Jaws . I chased and hit a David at shack then decided to trap the window and go look for people on gens. I hear the snap of the David disarming the trap not long after. So I focus on setting up my perimeter with my remaining traps. At some point I go near the shack again and I see the David next to the window. He t-bags me several times, con5 comments 91 views last activity

I've only recently gotten into the main-line Resident Evil games. But I've played enough to know that none of the characters we have in dbd sound correct. Leon and Chris are too high pitched. They sound like boyscouts. Jill, and especially Claire, just sound like annoying porn parody's of themselves. Was it too much to ask for the original voice lines from the games? Introduction Nemesis has been out for a while now and there's a considerable amount of takes on him, as there usually is with any new killer. I've played him extensively since he was released, got him to P3, and feel qualified enough to judge what playstyle makes him most effective. I will be going over what add-ons, perks, and strategies work best on him and finish by going over his weaknesses.9 comments 643 views last activity

@TheClownIsKing You'll need to hear this. There is now a bug where survivors won't be slowed down by being hit by bottles . Walking in the gas seems to work most of the time. But others the slow instantly wears off when the survivor leaves the gas. It completely destroys Clown. Don't play him this patch.23 comments 541 views last activity

Using them both on high mobility killers is insane. Pop gets good gen regression while Eruption gives information, a small amount of regression, but will not cause a gen to start regressing if a survivor was repairing it. Meaning you can kick it again with Pop to delete 31% progress overall whilst stopping survivors from popping it thanks to Eruption. Hello. I would like to tell you about how the devs don't know how to balance their game, (A shocking revelation I know), and specifically how they seem terrified to make any perk that synergises well with killer powers. I am of course referencing the abundance of killer perks that are pretty weak and niche and yet were still had a Basic Attack requirement slapped on for seemingly no reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Dqzt_FRFPc Youtuber (not)Otzdarva made a video talking about the add-ons of the Spirit. I know everyone is giddy over Nemesis right now. But a part of the stream I just witnessed filled me with with a deep, haunting dread. We all know that the current chat filter, that you cannot turn off, is a complete failure. There's already been many posts exposing how broken it is. Often character names and words that are already in the game will be censored in hilarious fashion. And you seri1 comments 311 views last activity

As the title says: Survivors should always receive a 25% BP bonus after a game for every survivor they safely unhooked, (or uncaged), up to 100% bonus BP. Killers should always receive a 25% BP bonus after a game for every unique survivor they managed to hook, (or cage,) up to 100% bonus BP. Like pretty much all changes to dbd, this wouldn't fix the core issue of the game's grindy-ness.11 comments 111 views last activity

Hello people of the fog I am Cracken, representative of Tended Totems ™, and It's no secret that not all totem spawns are created equal. Sometimes you'll get a nice, snug hiding place in the corner of the map behind grass and debris and you can be rest assured that it'll stay lit for almost the entire trial. But sometimes we aren't so fortunate. You'll spawn in, using either "Devo6 comments 141 views last activity

I've just started using them myself and they may be even more broken than Tampered Timer + Crate of Gears. Sure, the green one increases the death timer to 3 minutes. But the survivor now has to search up to a whopping 6 traps! If they get unlucky on certain big maps then it can become physically impossible to remove the Reverse Bear Trap before they die. Death Throes Compilation A collection of final sounds from Ji-Woon's victims, adapted to a vinyl record. Terrifying and emotionally raw. Laceration caused by blades is based on proximity to the target, starting at a minimum of 50%. Each blade hit increases the laceration caused by blades up to a maximum of 200%. Once a blade misses, the laceration caused by blades is reset to 50%.4 comments 111 views last activity

I think I hardly have to explain why the Trickster is terrible at this point. For once the community unanimously agrees upon something. But for the sake of clarity I'll do it anyway. Problems with the Trickster's power: Laceration Survivors hit by the Trickster's knives start to build up laceration. Once the laceration meter is full the survivor goes down a health state. This is very similar6 comments 501 views last activity

And he is just as frustrating to play as on the PTB. The buffs given to him were nowhere near enough to make him a decent killer. Let alone an actually good one. He heavily struggles at loops with tight corners. The Main Event is highly situational and often not useful when you activate it because survivors just run away. Most of his add-ons are terrible. If not outright useless... (*coug12 comments 261 views last activity

I've recently found a whole bunch of fan-made chase music for killers by Jon Rob on Youtube. Apart from being overall better than most of the unique killer music currently in the game, (channel link if interested: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0LoucMOj97Jiq-1uXvYGug ), his tracks sometimes have components made for mechanics tied to specific killers. Hoarder was nerfed because it was apparently too hard to program the decrease in item rarity that the perk was supposed to have. If that is indeed the case, then how does this perk exist: https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Plunderer%27s_Instinct It literally does what Hoarder was intended to do, just in reverse. PC Rushing into where the hatch was been determined to spawn as Blight will cause you to bounce off it as if you hit a wall. This also happens if the hatch has spawned in. I think everyone has seen the teaser video by this point. In case you haven't: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRqRGQ8jD_4 It features a track of music getting rewound, which a lot of people are assuming it relates to the killer's ability to possibly rewind time. Forced Penance - Sadly still not a very useful perk. Even after the timer increase. Either the broken survivor will be chased, downed, and hooked while their broken effect ticks down, or they will go to repair gens instead of healing. Although the latter scenario is very useful on one killer, Oni. Deliberately leave the broken survivor alone and focus on their teammates. Then once a gen is po0 comments 31 views last activity

The list of unlisted changes in the latest patch seems to grow every day. As the title said, Lucky Break will now have it's timer fully reset upon being healed. I don't know if it still resets if it was fully depleted beforehand. But now the perk is somewhat useful. I'd honestly recommend trying it. The perk is still nothing fantastic, but it has it's niche uses in tandem with other perks like3 comments 131 views last activity

In case you don't know, you can now look around with Charlotte when switching back to her during the cooldown. And Victor's aura is now visible the moment he latches onto someone. And just when I was done praising the devs for trying to be open minded. Positives first; Clown is now much better. His add-ons haven't been butchered, (unlike Billy's) and the new addition to his power is interesting to use. The perk buffs are nice. And the re-worked maps have really well made graphics. Please let this be the start of a recurring habit. Showing the community proposed changes before implementing them is a huge step forwards to the game's overall balance. I'd very much like the same to be done for killer powers, map layouts, and basically every idea that would greatly affect the game. For all of it's flaws, it rewarded killer players for killing and survivor players for surviving. Rather than the current system that rewards both sides for extending the game and punishing them for performing too well. So why was it changed in the first place?3 comments 61 views last activity

I've been playing this game for around 3 years now, just after the Halloween DLC was added, and I strongly feel like identity of the game has been getting weaker over time. I, like most people, really didn't give old Freddy much credit. His power was to essentially give the survivor you found a 7 second head start in the chase, and to make the tedious slough that is repairing gens even more boring, forcing survivors to rely on the game's fickle RNG until they got a skillcheck or their repair speed would be cut in half. To be generous, he had a lot of problems. But16 comments 211 views last activity
