The difference between those two and Undying is that their main effects are still drawn from the perk itself, not from protecting others. You can use them as their own perks and still get benefits from it.
Haunted Grounds can literally win you the game from them cleansing the totem.
Retribution isn't very good on its own, but it still gives undeniably decent tracking and some okay stealth ability.
Undying has aura reading for a few seconds only on dull totems, and that's all.
All 3 perks dont have a threatning enough effect alone for survivors to actively go out and cleanse. Blood Favor has no reason to be a Hex, or have that long of a cooldown. It needs one of its restrictions removed
-
@ManyAchievables said:
It being a Hex actually should probably stay, because it has to let Blight use Undying to protect something for the Adept.
However, it literally has no uses outside of that.
If they removed the cooldown, buffed the range extensively (to like 32 meters), increased the duration and also blocked dropped pallets, I could see it being definitely worth the Hex part. It still only applies to basic attacks, but it's more rewarding in that situation.
Spirit also has Haunted Grounds which is another defensive totem perk , so does Deathslinger with Retribution, yet neither of them have another hex to defend with their perks
-
And here are the people insisting BAFBlight is fun to go against
Blight is fun to go against, but many just run Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer/BBQ and its one of the most boring things survivors can go against. Because its the same ######### every time

If you thought 30 seconds was unfair. Wait until you see No way out!
The difference between No Way Out and Remember Me, is you don't need to just stand there for the whole minute its activate. For Remember Me you HAD to sit there for 55 seconds opening the gate.
-
I remember a TTV and her whole SWF team calling me a cheater when I played Blight because, and I quote: "In all my time playing this game, I've never seen some one play that killer so well, you just had to be cheating".
Its not like I was playing that well either, its just her and her goons were really bad. I tried asking her what kind of cheats she thought I had and she refused to elaborate.
Oh also she only had around 300 hours
-
Lets be real... All licensed maps end up being ######### anyways
-
Hexy's BOTB (Best of the Best) tournament is the first well known tourney that comes to mind. And I'm pretty sure all the matches are on his channel
There are a few teams that are def not tourney level, but there are some actual well known teams like Oracle and Agony.
-
Tbf, Hangman's Trick was actually pretty stupid with the amount of information it gave. Hooks spawn at minimum 32m away from eachother, and on smaller maps this would mean that you would LITERALLY every one.
Remember Me makes sense as well since 30 seconds is 1/4 of the whole EGC. I do agree that reducing it to 16 is a little harsh but there's no way 30 seconds would of been fair.
Coup de Grace and Gearhead's nerfs literally make 0 sense to me

Wouldn't you like to know, weather boy ;)

You've opened the thread...
And I came...

Think about it this way, Trickster is pretty much a Korean Ghost Face. Both of them blended in perfectly with their situation and environment, nobody had a damn clue what they were up to. Ghost Face made reports on his own killings, and Trickster made songs including his victims. They're both pretty expressive as well on how much they enjoy killing, Trickster just cranks it up a tad bit more.
Honestly just writing this just made me realize how similar these 2 characters are
-
Its a bug atm, if you play a killer that has a meter and then go on to play a killer that doesnt, there's a chance the meter will still stay there
-
You could always you know.. run behind cover
In fact one of the very first things you should do when you're caught in the open against Trickster is B-line for the first LoS blocker you see, you're most likely gonna get injured but the speed boost can help out and A LOT and Trickster becomes A LOT less accurate with distance.
-
These just don't seem fun to play with...
Green Mori: Holding M1 on a gen is possibly the most boring thing to do and having to do so for 4 minutes just doesn't seem fun what so ever. Not only that but you only have half the resources at your disposal and you pretty much die if you go down, this just seems tedious and not fun for both sides since survivors will simply stealth it out, leading for very long and non eventful games
Red Mori: Stealth is the most boring thing to deal with as a killer and for a large majority of experienced survivors. And you're forcing survivors to do so
Green Key: Seems super RNG and can end games way too fast.
Red Key: Same thing as last but worst, way too RNG dependent and you can feel cheated on no matter what side you're playing depending on RNG

Im very satisfied with pretty much everything the chapter has to offer except for the STAR of the show, Nemesis. Dont get me wrong I still like him in game very much but they could of done a lot more with his power and I feel he missed out on a lot of potential

Don't know but I had some enjoyment when meg was tossed in the RE trailer even though I play more survivor than killer
was surprised she was still a playable character tbh
-
If youve been here since release then you would know that dcing use to be a lot worst
Remember 3 man games? How about 2 man games? How about a 1v1?
-
Absolutely, but not in the way you think. Since the devs have said multiple times they arent looking into making new gamemodes. What I think should happen is the game be split in 3 different sections
Early Game
Mid Game
End Game
Early and End Game would always be the same, how ever Mid Game I think should have an event of some sort, such as both sides must perform a task and who ever completes it faster gets rewarded. This would simulate different gamemodes but still all be the same mode
Ive been thinking about writing a post myself on how I would rework the trials and try to address frustrations on both sides for weeks now and it is no easy task
-
I mean honestly can you even compare these 2 killers? Functionally yes, they do work the very similar. But they also play very differently from each other.
you could give Trickster 115%, but its just unnecessary and wouldn't fix any of his issues.
-
Self Care is a very good perk when used properly, and most people who use it just don't know how to use it properly.

They teased Blight to he a Werewolf??? Bruh that syringe inject and hitting the ground was a dead giveaway, and probably one of the only teasers theyve given where I was 100% confident on who the killer was
Theyve always been cryptic and teased upcoming content in unique ways, this is just another one of those. How ever they never really tease licensed content anymore the same way as original content. So Im pretty sure this is just gonna be another original chapter
-
While this is probably the most thought out post thats FNaF related that Ive seen.
nah

It actually does differ from every killer
It does, how ever if you have a high MMR with one killer, all your other killers will be affected and will have a higher MMR as well, not as high, but still higher
-
Clearly you didnt read too much since you would know that there is a test for SBMM
-
not fun for the person being tunneled, really the answer is obvious if youve ever played survivor at least once
-
@SpaghettiYOLO said:

You do realize that you're saying that you are top tier/tourney skill level, right? Because SBMM matches you up with people of equal skill. So to say you don't want to face that every match is saying that you yourself are at that skill level.
Now how BHVR is taking into account the SWF rainbow groups, I don't know. I believe that's what threw off the first SBMM a while back. I also believe people didn't give it a chance because after playing 10 games with each killer, I was having fun competitive matches, not these gen rushing matches I usually have from toxic survivors. So I'll see what's going on later. But yeah, if you're not at that skill level, you have nothing to worry about.
Im very much aware that Im implying that Im at that skill level. And not only do I not want to deal with that every game but also Q times are something to factor in. The higher MMR you get the less and less people there are to match you with, which means longer Q's
A ranked mode is needed if they want to add MMR
-
@TheMadCat said:

I agree with two separate modes, but I'm afraid the ones who should go to ranked come to casual to troll, or the casual ones trying ranked and being insulted because they were too chill.
If people from ranked come to casual to troll, what exactly are the other people losing from that match? Theyre not losing ranks thats for sure.
Also the other thing of people being insulted for trying ranked. Ranked is made for a more competitive environment, people are bound to get tilted because of their precious rank. This is something thats unavoidable, but its something already present in the game today since everybody is forced to play ranked.
-
@TheMadCat said:

So they shouldn't force the current ranking system neither then.
You're right, they need to add a seperate mode for ranked, because atm you have the people who are casual and competitive who are mixed together. Make a mode dedicated to ranked and those casual players wont have to deal with tryhards nearly as much

uhm….?! I don’t think we need to balance dbd around content creators so they can interact with their audience.
Never said they should, but they shouldnt force MMR onto people either.

You are not forced to play the top killers, unless you're always trying to win and never play casually. Furthermore, MMR is killer-specific, so if you have killers you use when you want to play casually, you'll be matched with weaker survivors than if you'd picked other killers.
Not necessarily, since say you have a high MMR with Blight, your other killers MMR will be affected. And eventually you will get high MMR on all characters.
Im all for MMR, if they add a mode specifically for it. Or they start making DRASTIC balance changes
-
You know those gimmicks that content creators do? Well they wont be able to do that anymore if an actual functioning MMR system is added
So now every content creator will be forced into high level play since some of them is their literal full time job playing this game. And this game is not enjoyable in the slightest at the highest level.
Im not a content creator and I dont want MMR, I play this game almost every day and racked up 4k hours in the game. And while I do find the challenge of receiving the occasional top tier SWF or even tourney squad, I dont want to face that every game. I want to be able to enjoy other killers and not be forced to play the top tiers
-
Literally every time a chapter is about to come out, people will stretch as far as they can to make themselves believe its FNaF.
deadass people thought it was gonna be FNaF when Trickster and Yun-Jin were being teased

There was a lot of hype built up around Pyramid Head iirc
There was hype built up by the community, but we never got any teasers like we did with Trickster or Twins
-
Thing is, whenever its a licensed character they never go as far as they do with original characters when it comes to building up hype and speculation, in fact the last licensed chapter they've teased is SAW.
So time for every one to be disappointed when the character is revealed to be an original.
-
god I love peepee the cat
-
looks like a regular DbD mobile screenshot to me
In all seriousness, yeah theres def something up, report it in the bug section of the forums
-
I would be all for that, making a survivor become a "puppet" of sort for another.
That would make for a VERY interesting and unique power

looks like some one has never seen a Nancy

Old Billy was better because of the back rev saw spamming and the no overheat mechanic.
Back Rev Saw Spamming? What?
Youre aware that Billy is still able to Back Rev right?

A mobility power (that has a limit and a lengthy charge/cooldown time) is good and all, but his instadown simply will not hit anybody with a brain at higher ranks. It is trivially easy to loop a Hillbilly because of how slow he moves when revving his chainsaw, how he screams when starting a sprint giving you a cue to sidestep the sprint with his almost nonexistent turn rate, the fact he can't hold his chainsaw and be patient due to Overheat, the fact his chainsaw requires 2.5 seconds to charge which is more than enough time to get to a safe area even if you're caught out in the open, the fact it is extremely easy to juke the chainsaw which gets him stunned for 3 seconds, and the fact curving has been made next to impossible on most of the reworked loops, with funky collision and no smooth edges to curve around.
Billy was only A tier when he had his charge time add-ons, because Crack Billy and instasaw were extremely powerful, and broken in instasaw's case. Otherwise, he was B tier because of this, and then they nerfed his basekit.
Billy is simply outdated and mediocre by today's standards. He might be fun to go against, but any killer that you can reliably loop for 3+ minutes on any map regardless of the killer's skill level is fun to go against. In high level play, all he has is a mobility power and an instadown if survivors are literally just in a deadzone for multiple seconds and he is right next to them.
It doesn't hit any one with a brain if you yourself don't have a brain
We are basically back when the game first came out where people are crying that Wraith is OP and Billy is terrible simply because people don't know how to use him
