  • Not every killer needs to be at Nurse's power, but every killer should be viable.

It's still not that great at all. I have a gtx 960 and a 6600k and I'll have to use medium settings to hold a solid 60. Anything above that and it'll drop to 30-50. Low settings drastically improves performance though.

Next patch is gonna run on a newer engine that has improved graphics and should improve performance as well I believe.

You think THAT is bad frame rate? Try playing against the Doctor on PS4 at Lery's. It's virtually a slideshow.

  • I hate that camping is a playstyle because it's annoying, frustrating, and overall boring. I've had those games where the killer would chase me until almost all the gens were done and then I'd end up being the only one dead because I was camped to death. I hate it as survivor and I hate it as killer. But, despite that, I consider it a legitimate tactic. Because judging things as either fair or unfair based on how fun they are for the other side is a bad idea. Killers don't like being genrushed, but it's in the survivor's best interest to get the gens fixed as soon as possible. Imagine if you got messages from the killer calling you a 'genrusher.'

    Is camping fun? No.
    Is it frustrating? Yes.
Does that make it unfair? No.

Are you guys seriously trying to ship cold, emotionless monsters who want kill with each other?

How would the killers even interact to begin with? Entity places them in special "cells" alone until the Entity wants them for a trial.

People here also trying to say a Japanese ghost who presumably experiences eternal rage wants to have a relationship...

People also think a World War 1/2 girl turned animalistic woman who feels zero humanity and thinks killing is fun would make for a good partner.

… Wait, actually, Hunty kept trying to be a good mom. Hmm. Maybe some humanity.

But not on a relationship level. Hell no.

This post makes me want to take a sip of bleach. A feeling which I have never experienced before until now.

Chill, man. It's just for fun. It's not like they're making it part of the lore.

  • I would love to give some feedback on your ideas, but I actually haven't seen much about the new character. I haven't seen any gameplay or his ability, so I can't really give you anything constructive.

  • Really interesting ideas and I like most of them. For the most part, I agree the @ChesterTheMolester

I really like the Brutal Strength idea. I think this change would help it just enough to make it good without going over board.

The Left Behind changes might really hurt some killers though, especially the slower ones, like the Spirit, who relies more on scratch marks than other killers. I think the numbers should be tweaked a tad.

As for Monstrous Shrine, I'm not sure if that's the change this perks needs. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how to change it myself. It's in a rough spot, viability wise.

I like the Sole Survivor idea, but I'm not entirely sure about the "being able to open up exit gates without doing gens " thing. Maybe allow it to open the exit gates faster instead?

The Thanataphobia one is pretty good. But will injuring two survivors remove the great skill checks if Ruin is involved? If so, it might be kind of debilitating. Other than that, I really like this one!

Overall, these are some pretty solid ideas that might need a bit more ironing out. Nice post, man.

I want seasonal changes for all the maps in general. I would love if the weather of the maps changed for summer, autumn, winter, and spring.

just imagine the game map summer concrete industrial building! spring concrete industrial building! fall concrete concrete industrial building and of course winter a tiny little bit of snow on the outside windows barley see able but more importantly CONCRETE INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS!!!!!!

Just put a santa hat on the corpses for winter and I'll be happy.

  • I want seasonal changes for all the maps in general. I would love if the weather of the maps changed for summer, autumn, winter, and spring.

  • The only times I view DCing as acceptable is when someone is cheating on any side, the game is being held hostage, awful connection, a glitch that traps you somehow, or you're being farmed against your will.

  • Dang it, I was designing a character like this as well. Cool idea, man!

  • And now we wait for a fish to bite.

  • Thanks, man. Hope you have a good time too. :chuffed:

I think the difference on that front has to do with the fact that both sides can get BPS but the survivor version of a bloodpoint perk is inferior to the killer version. I wouldn't mind a bit of a buff to WGLF. It would help with the queue times during bloodhunt events.

Except killers have the most used BP sided perk in the game, BBQ.
But no one here is going to argue to make it weaker

I'm all for a bit of a buff to WGLF. As for a nerf to BBQ, I'm undecided. It's only a bit of an issue on high mobility killers like Billy and Nurse.

Why do discussions on this forum always end up like this?

Because people get upset when you ask questions that invalidate their silly points.

    "Bloodpoints cause unbalance."
So remove BPS because they only affect bloodpoints
"REEEEE what has that got to do with bloodpoints balancing the game"

Teleporting 5m to hook is fairly balanced also it ignores survivor collusion

The only time I have an issue with the hook vacuum is when my wiggle bar was just about full and I don't get off because of it. But other than that, it's not too big a deal.

  • I almost always feel bad for leaving other survivors to die, but sometimes you're better off getting yourself out. It's not bannable or anything if that's what you're worried about. You're not obliged by any sort of rules to get anyone out but yourself.

  • @Sfrei002 said:
Ok - so as someone who uses this tactic more and more I can only speak for myself. I play exclusively survivor and it genuinely angers me when other survivors leave, too.

HOWEVER, I personally (and this could very well just be me) have experienced a huge increase in the amount of killers who facecamp or heavily patrol, with no good reason at all. Im talking 30 seconds into the match and someone is already hooked, or a killer running [BAD WORD] ruin AND another hex totem and the killer is camping. Like #########?! You're faster, stronger, and have active things helping you directly inhibit gameplay and you still wanna camp?

Now, there isn't necessarily anything wrong with that, as that is a good way for the killer to ensure at least one survivor death or slow down the game, but it leaves the hooked survivor just trying to play a game with one option: death. And when this happens to survivors like myself game after game after game....c'mon now. What do you killers expect?

Killers who literally guard their hooked survivors undoubtedly stifle the gameplay that way, and so as survivors, since we are going to die anyways, might as well just leave! I proudly sacrifice ALL BPs, pips, items, and whatever else (cause its all useless anyways, I mean ain't no one paying my rent for me to be a rank 1 lol) if it means getting out of a ######### game and into a new one that might be more enjoyable. There is a difference between "Im mad cause Im bad at the game" versus "Im mad cause I cant play the game at all once found."

To me, Id rather actually get to play (even if I get killed in the end) than sit there while some dumbass leatherface stares at me looking up and down, physically blocking any help from coming. Again, yes that is a tactic, but no I and apparently others will not play with you if you play like that. Take your points and leave, and dont complain! ********You should be thanking us for giving you easy as [BAD WORD] kill points********

    So you're welcome.

By DCing on the hook, you only reward that playstyle. Being camped sucks, but the longer you distract the killer, the better off the other survivors are.

  • Small Game is a good perk to counter NOeD.

At least with suiciding on the hook, there's a time window. The time it takes for that survivor to be found, caught and hooked can be beneficial to the others. But just quitting as soon as you see a map you don't like or a killer you hate just screws everyone completely.

    You forgot BBQ&C lad

Still not as harmful to the others as DCing. At least BBQ has counterplays.

Revealing survivor locations is much stronger than 10 seconds

Unless the survivor is bad, the time it takes to be found, chased, downed, and hooked should be much longer then 10 seconds.

  • Why do something you can make someone else do for you? The entity expends less energy in the long run and gets more out of it by making the killers do what it wants them to.

  • Why don't we have a demisexual, non-binary, furry survivor?

  • I've been working on a DLC for a while, though it probably won't happen.

Killer: A mariner with a spear that can be thrown and dragged back toward him. Survivors who are hit by the spear would have to struggle free as he pulls them toward him. Still working on the overall ability.

Survivor: Rough on the outside but heart of gold type character with perks that support an altruistic gameplay.

Map: A massive shipping boat frozen in ice.I just really want a snowy map. I considered the idea of having it on water and certain things would move as the ship rocked, like crates, but I canned that one.

The DC rate is not known, so I advise you to stop making ######### up and talking about what you don't know. DC bans are happening, as evidenced by the complaint threads after each and every single ban wave. You don't see the big picture; the devs do.

I just wish it were the same on console. It's infuriating how many games I have where someone DCs because there's no punishment for it.

  • I'm not listening to twelve-year-olds squeaking at me if I don't save them five seconds after they've been hooked.

  • This is posted in the wrong subforum. If you put it in bug reports, you probably have a better chance of getting a response.

Killer main. No, I hated giving survivors hope. Some expected you to give them the vials.
    I felt bad for them.

This event was tilted in favor of the killer. Change my mind.

If you look at it in terms of bloodpoints, yeah it was better for killers. If you look at it in terms of vials, it was easier to get survivor vials, in my opinion.

  • Yeah, I like them but there was an issue with how they were implemented. They encouraged a very selfish playstyle.

  • I'm no amazing artist, but I can drop some tips by. One would be to avoid shape tools if possible. Very few things are perfectly shaped so learning how to draw things without them will help you out in the long run. Another thing is shading. This can really make your art pop and a good way to practice is to draw a simple object, like a ball, and draw a light source, like a circle in a corner. Than, shade accordingly. Another thing is linework. If you want to eventually draw without it, go for it, but it's better to practice with it in my opinion. Hope these help you improve your work. Just remember to keep practicing and you'll get better. (:

  • I like how the first four points are survivors trying to survive. And the OP is acting like it's something that should be punished and proceeds to take his anger out on others, even if they did nothing wrong.

  • I don't support it either. It breaks the rules of the game and cheats the killer out of a 4k, unless DCing was an intended game mechanic.

  • I play both sides, too. I lean more toward killers having it worse but survivors have some crap to put up with as well, especially if you play solo. I think @MegaWaffle makes a really good point. The devs aren't sure what they want the game to be. And the lack of action taken against toxicity has made the community one of worst I've seen. But the community takes some blame as well. If both sides keep attacking each other like they do, then this game will never be balanced.

I also disagree with the idea that SWF should be removed from the game. As much of an imbalance as it brings, the game would die without it. Not everyone who goes SWF is a toxic squadette with purple toolboxes and DS. A lot of players just want to hang out with friends. The best way to go about SWF, in my opinion, is to buff solo players to that level and than buff killers accordingly.

I think that one of the first steps to fix things in this game would be to target the community as a whole. Take more action against people who hack, DC, or work with the killer against the other survivors. The devs need to communicate more with their audience, as well. They've been getting better at this, but there's still room to improve.

I really like this game and I want it to be better than it is, right now. I just hope the devs keep on track to improve.

  • Wraith's is easily the best, in my opinion.

  • I think it should be acknowledged more that there's toxicity on both sides. The DBD community is a dumpster fire right now.

  • The main reason the community is so toxic is because not enough is done about it. On console, it's a nightmare because reporting doesn't do anything.

  • Trapper- Trappy Boi
    Wraith- Bing Bong Boi, Wafer
    Hillbilly- Billy
    Huntress- Big Stronk Russian Woman
    Nurse- Nurse (name pending)
    Hag- Grandma
    Leatherface- Leatherdaddy
    Doctor- Dakta
    Clown- Clown
    Pig- Peppa Pig
    Spirit- Spirit
    Myers- M&M, Stabby Boi
    Freddy- Froody

I'm still working on names for the newer killers.

  • The entity feeds off of emotion. If the survivors had no way to escape, they wouldn't bother to try and they'd lose hope, essentially making the entity go hungry.

  • I'm sorry for this

The Wraith lost his weapon once. He tried to remember where it was, but nothing rang a bell.

It takes a while for the Nurse to learn her power, but when she does, it'll leave you breathless.

Why does the Huntress wear a bunny mask? So you can't hurt a hare on her head.

Why did Leatherface wear an extra jacket? He got chili.

I tried going to the Doctor for a check-up. It was a shocking experience.

I got a letter from the Hag today. She said that she'd love to have me for dinner.

The Spirit had a rough day. She really fell apart, but she'll pull herself back together.

  • My only issue with Hillbilly is his base movement speed. The Nurse, Hag and Spirit have powers that can close a lot of distance quickly and the Huntress has a ranged attack. Because of this, their movement speed is lower to compensate. But Hillbilly, who has some of the best map control due to to speed, has a standard movement speed. I don't think he should be nerfed right now, but when the game is more balanced, I think he should be looked at.

  • You just need to use them more efficiently, dude. The pallets are working as they're supposed to.

  • You're not my REAL dad!

  • I'm on a horror movie marathon. So far, I've watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Scream, and Nightmare on Elm Street. I'm planning on seeing Friday the 13th, Chucky and Halloween as well. Maybe Saw, but I'm not big on gore films. As for Halloween night, I'll definitely be scaring kids and handing out candy.

  • You can't name and shame, man. I'd edit out their profile.

For me, toxicity is doing unnecessary things purely to spite somebody. Whether that be holding the game hostage, or going out of your way to make the other person's game as unfun as possible.

From the survivor perspective, getting whacked and facecamped on the hook because you did really well in a chase. Or getting bodyblocked in the basement for unreasonable amounts of time. Or one of your teammates working with the killer to farm the other survivors. Those are a few examples.

From the killer perspective, the survivors purposefully holding the game hostage when they could leave at any time, abusing sound triggers for no reason other than to annoy you (fast-vaulting or sliding over a pallet repetitively), and there's t-bagging and flashlight clicking, but that's pretty minor.

For both sides, there's toxicity in the chat or messages and DCing for no good reason during a game. Those are my views, anyway.

Being camped because you did well as a decoy is basically the natural result, imo.
Why on earth would a killer want to give you another opportunity to annoy the hell out of them all over again? What costs the killer more time? Dealing with you on the run, or camping you to death?
Sure it ruins your fun, but how bad are you putting the screws to the killer and getting in the way of theirs?

But yeah, noise abuse is annoying. Forgot about that.

True, but it's usually pretty obvious when it's done for strategic reasons or just to ruin your game. In certain instances, when the killer already has a couple hooks in and there are still two or three gens left and they throw the game away just to make sure you die, it's pretty clear that they weren't doing it to win.

Okay, I have to ask again, what possible good strategy is it to let someone go who's really hard to catch?
What possible gain do they have?
If they let you go, what's your next goal?
Resume gens and help ensure the win? Sabotage hooks? Bust Hexes? Goad another chase that would probably have them lose the game anyhow because the chase is longer than you dying on the hook? I mean they can't really ignore you, can they?
They may see you doing more damage off the hook than on it.
Depending on how fast the gens are being done, they may be securing the kill. The last gens pop, the gates are powered, why would they risk having to chase you out the gate?

I'll grant you it can be excessive in some cases, but I still see it as the price paid for being a really good decoy. If you make the killer mad, it's pretty obvious they'll want to kill you. I end up on the receiving end, too.
In the end, though? You helped the others escape. You probably got a ton of points. That's a win in my book.

It's not the camping alone that's toxic. When they're whacking you on the hook, it's pretty clear what they're main intention is. And I already stated the situation I'm using for a reference. I said that when there are still two or three gens left and they already have a few hooks in. That, paired with them nodding and whacking you as gens pop around them, makes things pretty clear.

If all the gens are done and the gates are powered, then I have no issue with securing a kill. And if you're using the survivor as bait or trying to take a good one out of the game, I don't have a problem with that. But, like I said, it's pretty easy to tell when the killer is doing it for strategic reasons or just to get back at you. I don't think it should be reportable or anything, but throwing the game away just to spite someone who was trying to survive I think is toxic. If you disagree, then that's fine. I can see how others would view this differently.
