Does Boiled over do anything? Killers do not have any issue walking when its active and youre wiggling so what does it do?
All it does is annoy the killer. In some very, very rare cases it can cause a killer to collide into a wedge in the path and go off course, which might save you a split second to wiggle off. But generally it is a trash useless perk.

Which is an abominable thing.

The sky fell years ago. I've been living in The Firmament for years now.

I actually make it smaller because it's too big and takes up too much of the screen.

No frame dips on my PC. 100fps solid. Same as old Gideon.

Sounds like a toxic SWF team. But you definitely shouldn't depip for that. Who knows why.

They said they didn't have time.
I mean, it's hard to believe you can't make changes to something that isn't being released for a month, but that's what they said.
---
I've been civil, but I'm not going to stop being snarky about the hot water BHVR seems to be bathing in since October.
They had enough time to make the changes. They had enough time NOT to make the changes.

tomb?
"Public Test Beta". Where they give things a spin for feedback before putting it in the base game.
the ptb is there mainly to find bugs. not to see the public reaction.
granted, the reaction has some effect, but that's not why there's a ptb.
Grandpa dies and goes to heaven when complaints are taken care of.
When a new complaint shows up he has to crawl back out like a zombie to remind BHVR that Night of the Living Dead is a horror movie.

Why do you need a counter? Dull totems are worthless now except for the rare instance of Noed, and you still have middle of the field spawns to boot. Too easy as it is.
That is really all the reason you need for the counter. And NoEd is far from a rare instance.
There are also niche builds who can make good use of it like Nancy players using Inner Strength.

I honestly didn't notice.
Versed two wraiths today didn't really see a difference. But I guess that's exactly what the buff was supposed to do.

Are people really THAT upset that the New UI and character movement went through? I’ve seen threads about people “leaving” the game because of it when we all know they’ll be back in 3 days. Like C’mon how old are we? Yeah, sure it’s not the best and people are allowed to have their personal opinions but to lash out at the devs who nerf the perks and add-ons you cry about and update the maps you want updated (both survivor and killer side), you sure are ungrateful. I don’t mind the HUD while others do mind it but be happy they’re willing to try new things.
What does that have to do with being "Ungrateful?"
And the devs are not entitled to our goodwill. They need to earn it.
I'ts fine if they want to try new things. it's not fine when everyone tells them it's obviously bad and they don't give a #########.

That means i have to wait for another 10+ hours just to re-downloading the game... Man, this patch is already bad, and this makes it even worse.
10 hours? What backwater country do you live in?
I live in a country with some of the slowest internet in the world (Philippines) and it only takes me around 3 hours to download 16GB.

This is most unfortunate. Better check your hard disk for bad sectors.

Yeah, everyone looks like they had a wedgie.
Really awesome animations there.

It makes stealth killers barely viable.
A quick fix with minimal effort would be to reduce the range by half or more if the killer is Undetectable.
It shouldn't be that hard.
Edit: Sorry, I was angry writing at the time I wrote this. I had just played Wraith, Pig and Ghostface consecutively and three survivors had Spine Chill in each match.
Edit 2: I left comments down in the comments section that you scroll by when you comment on this post. Please read them before you respond, as to get a better idea of what I meant and why.
I have never understood this "It makes stealth killers unviable" nonsense. You can play around Spine Chill as a stealth killer. The biggest issue is for Ghost Face and Myers but Myers can still get his stalk in chase. And actually so can Ghost Face.

The new animations are nasty.
They are pure crap.

So lets be honest.. Am I the only one that believes BHVR has ZERO intention on reverting this HUD update and that they used "Console Players" as a scape goat to justify them forcing it on us?
Everyone had weeks to view play the PTB, view screenshots, watch content regarding the HUD update and create a valid opinion on it. Console players DO NOT need to play with the new HUD to tell them it's terrible.
LOL everyone knows that BHVR isn't going to rollback the HUD.
You are the only one that believes they won't everyone else knows they won't.

Everyone comes out during new update. Everyone wants to try the new changes.
Expect to go alwys go against good players when update rolls by.

Honestly,i'd rather play 1.9.2 than this update.
That one won't kill my eyes or give me headaches because of it at the very least
What was 1.9.2? I can't remember.

Okay just finished my first game on The Game. Okay I concur with everyone the palettes are crazy. I feel bad for killers on this map now. Once survivors learn to path it properly and avoid the deadends it's going to be hell for most killers.

Good it balances out compared to new auto haven maps with HUGE dead zones
Autohaven maps are a joke right now. Almost all of them are heavily killer-sided.
-
I can't say anything to that since I mostly play stealth builds. You definitely should find your own fun; my fun in this game is mostly in opening lootboxes. My game within a game is finding a key from the chests and making it out of the match through the hatch, while not being obviously a burden to my teammates.

I was just in a watch against the Nurse and it ended in like...3 minutes with only one of us dead. I know people keep saying she's strong, but from what i've seen, she could use some work to make her easier to play.
They're reworking nurse again?
That'll happen when pigs fly.

Do note that playing in SWF is a huge advantage, so even if you guys are going perkless and casual it's a lot easier to beat even good killers because you make far less mistakes with comms on. DBD is at its core just about making as few mistakes as possible. game was designed with survivors having no communication in mind, which forces mistakes to be made. That's what lets killers win. If survivors aren't making many mistakes because they know when to go for a save, when to repair a gen, when to run, etc. it is significantly harder for a killer to win.
A lot of killers are also boosted to high ranks because they're beating up on Solo Qers.
More importantly the "ranking" system of this game is just giving out participation trophies. Everyone can pip in a match. And that is the problem; if it's not a "zero sum game" for killers and survivors when it comes to ranking, everyone's ranks will artificially inflate upwards, rendering the ranking system useless.

Super Plot Twist: the cancelled all future updates to the game. That's why we still haven't seen the midchapter patch even though we expected it two weeks ago.

Today is almost done here in the Eastern side of the world. The update ain't coming.

Getting to Red ranks is definitely very easy on Survivor. Easier than even on Killer.
I can mess around all day and I will still stay in red ranks. That's running nothing but joke/meme builds in Solo Q. As long as I don't get into an extremely unlucky situation (you know how it is sometimes you get found by the killer in 10 seconds, screw up your chase and get hooked in 30, and nobody rescues you or you get hook farmed, tunneled or face camped, or all of the above, and die before a minute).
As long as you are playing intelligently and not in a braindead fashion you will pip or at the very least safety pip. Not hard to get into red and stay there permanently no matter who your teammates are or what items and perks you bring.

The fact I paid money I worked for and I can't play a game without either losing connection or leaving because the game is flooded with cheatera, and get banned from it, should be illegal.
If you're going to include DC bans. At least fix them and lower the price of the game. It's almost straight up fraud
DCing is unacceptable in any online team/vs game.
It absolutely should be allowed and if you are DC'ing enough to get banned you deserve it. Good riddance.

I see you say that the escape rate is low. But just yesterday alone 9/10 match a key was the reason for any escapes in the match. Please tell me how your data claims the escape rate is so low???? How is it fair that a killer plays super well and the survivors make mistake after mistake but are still able to escape with with a key. This is something from the Devs that do not believe.
That's just you bad at killing survivors. Git gud good sir.
If the survivor escaped via hatch key the killer did not "play super well."
That you actually think so tells me a lot about your actual skill level and your standards of what "super well" is.

Detective's Hunch, Quick and Quiet, Inner Strength, and whatever fourth perk you fancy. I know you said no Kindred, but it does give you alot of valuable information. Bond would also be a good fourth. All dependent on your play style.
What's valuable with Kindred isn't the information it gives you. It's the information it gives your teammates.
That is why Kindred, Aftercare and Blood Pact are very good.

BHVR is a company with way too much pride.
They think too highly of themselves, their skills, and that they don't make mistakes even if practically the entire community is telling them the fabulous piece of work they devoted their minds, hearts and souls to is a piece of trash.
-
Bond is the absolute worst perk to use when you keep getting crappy teammates.
It just lets you see every single bit of their incompetence throughout the entire game.

Well geeze so sorry for failing ot meet your expectations.

Main Pig. She will teach you how to be good at the game. If you main Freddy you'll forever be a chump who can only rely on a crutch killer to win you games. Pig will teach you good fundamentals.

I need a build that helps with gens, and allow me to get good teammates
No such thing.
The only way to help your teammates help you is to run perks like Aftercare, Kindred and Better Together. If you don't want those perks just forget you have teammates and fish for a key and escape by yourself.

Just wondering if people would like the idea of a 8 survivors vs 2 Hunters mode. It would sound chaotic but instead of 5 gens you would need to do 10. Plus the mode would only be available at certain times of the day or make it a once a week event. I think that would freshen up the game tremendously. Thoughts?
Only if the maps are four times as big and there should be 16 gens total. Not interested in playing something like Wrecker's Yard with two killers and not gonna play 3-gen strategies with two killers.
-
If the killer is using pink hatchet, pink finger, or is running Spirit with purple amulet pink ring and running Undying, Ruin and Stridor on top of it, etc. I struggle not to kill myself on first hook. And often they even camp whoever they hooked. I don't even struggle while being carried he can take me to the basement if he wants.
Not really interested in playing stupid games like that.
-
Oh definitely.
-
Solo Q is pretty bad. Teammates usually just skulk around doing nothing and I die in 4/5 games or so, and it's not uncommon to die on first hook or just get tunneled off first hook. This is at red ranks.
-
The DS nerf hurts Solo survivor a lot. The OOO nerf, not so much. Very few solo Q survivors use OOO and none of them abuse it.

I just had a Ghost Face game where a Felix brought a Haddonfield offering. He had Balanced Landing, Decisive Strike, Unbreakable and Borrowed Time. The game was painful but I managed to kill everyone.
The ending with the Felix was long Haddonfield chase into balanced landing into hook bomb with BT into slugging the Felix to get his BT save into his Unbreakable into another balanced landing Haddonfield chase.
The game was over. There was no way that Felix and his other teammate could escape. Why did he have to troll me for 3-4 minutes? Like just stop.
First off, if he got his Borrowed Time to trigger one of them could still have made the hatch. That's why the hatch exists. So there was a way for at least one of them to escape.
Second, the chase is part of the game. It is still playing. Killers complain when survivors suicide on hook -- they basically stop playing. You have no right to complain about him wanting to make a play for the hatch, he is still playing.
-
You have all the chances to counter it before the hatch spawns. Just kill the survivor and the key never comes into play.
If you close the hatch early instead of trying to close it in the survivor's face then you don't have to worry about the key. You can then body block it again and they will be forced to run to the exit gates. You can catch them either way. Morale of the lesson. Don't cut it close and just kill the survivors when you have the chance. Slugging the survivor also prevents them from using the key.
Key escapes aren't that common most killers can easily tunnel a survivor to death if they dare to bring a key into the match. If you didn't do that that's on you. They made the key a bright silver white color so you can easily see it in the lobby.
-
Unless you're packing urban evasion, crouching for the save is usually not going to work well unless she's in a chase. And getting away is the same. Guy on hook can't crouch away fast enough.
Versing hag is not that simple. It's why hag is one of the most powerful killers.

Oh they do. He’s just not top priority yet. They’ve called him easy to play and uncounterable. Both of his shocks can apparently be spammed without penalty. Once Freddy and Spirit are nerfed, him and Deathslinger will likely be the next victims of the Survivor nerf campaigns.
I think Doctor isn’t their top priority is because of how much easier it is to play Freddy.
You sound bitter. Are you a Doctor main?
-
@Triforcer said:
I was thinking of taking up doctor, and looked up that kill/pick chart from this fall. I assumed (based on lack of forum discussion about him) that he was mid or low tier.
Very surprised to see that in red ranks, he is SECOND in kills- two ahead of Spirit. At all ranks, he's 4th!
Why are survivors more irritated about Freddy and Spirit than this guy? Just seems strange when he's obviously on the same power tier.
EDIT: Same comment applies to pig, she is right at the top of the charts around Freddy/Spirit too.
Doc isn't hard to beat unlike Spirit or Freddy. I don;'t know why his stats are like that but he's relatively easy to beat, and I am saying this as a stealth player.
Doc is just annoying to play against. he never feels unfair unlike Spirit or Freddy.
