I've had him gen grab me before by sneaking around the side of the gen I was repairing at the time.
I got Sacrificed and gave him props in the end game chat because I totally got outplayed by that move.
XD Brilliant gen grab though.
On a side note, I've been playing Ghostface a bit more recently and am happy to report that I've been having at least one kill every game.
See giving a killer props at the end deserves you kind of players extra points for compassion. It's not easy being against 4 people. I play Michael main, and can't tell you how many salty ones I come across, what gets me is the gloating message at the end like "yeah well done I've played killer a week" π if I'm survivor I always message the killer if chat available and say good game well played.

DBD really should improve the stealth side as wherever I play Ghostface against a streamer I love hearing the scream if I can jump scare them. Not knowing it's Hag and stepping on their trap always gets me
Ah tell me about it π everytime I can't tell who the character is as I'm fixing a gen on the other side to where they are, go through a window or save my team and forever throwing my controller on the sofa π first instance is literally a * F*********ck* no joke I swore i balled my eyes out the first time I came against hag and had a massive panic attack! My boyfriend literally sat and laughed. π

I once played a game as Ghostface and at the end of the match I thought of saying that phrase from Scary Movie "Wasssaaaaaaaap" on the chat and 2 other survivors replied with the same. It was pretty funny.
Other than that I play Ghostface the most of all killers because I can teabag on survivors dying on the floor.
Haha that sounds insane!! I'd crease if a killer done that down my mic, unfortunately I keep coming across salty ones at the moment. Yeah man I can related to being being downed and having the killer tea bag my head! Thats a polite way of saying "gotchaa sweetheart" π

How long ago was the hatched added? It's always been in the game since I started playing so I have no idea what this game is like without it. Sounds wild TBH, you would be forced to do all gens and exit gate or just die, is that right?
The hatch is still there dude. And assuming it always will be as an alternative escape route π the problem players are having is you get that one team member literally walking around to find it at the start if the match, eventually does find it and doesn't bother doing anything positive for the team to get out together but hide and camp it until everyone dies. That's the issue. The issue isn't that is being used, the issue is how easy it is for your team player to not fix gens, not save and just hide in a locker or in the corner until everyone else is game over for the swift belt the hatch. Ideally who ever does that is an absolute plonker anyway as they're literally losing so many BP for that action, and rightly so having your other team doing all the work for the safety.
Couldn't explain that more clearly I'm afraid π x

If there are 2 survivors left and 2 gens that have barely been worked, then suicide. 2 survivors rarely can get 2 gens completed (1 will be hooked and not working gens, and the other is not working gens trying to get the 1st one off the hook).
This is also the reason why survivors should grab the killer off of any survivor that has 2 hook states.
This has happened before though, i have then speculated and not one of them were attempting a gen at all and both stood around looking for the hatch. It's awful how a team game gets to a point of not everyone getting out together and working together. But 1 person fixing and 3 others battling to hatch it out.

If there's only you and one other survivor left in the trial and the exit gates are not powered yet I would expect my teammate to let go for me to get hatch like I do already. From a mathematic standpoint at best you're only going to get around 800 struggle points where as hatch is 5k survival points and I think 2k objective points so yeah you should let go on the hook for the other survivor and to deny the killer a 4k if possible. By holding on in a hopeless situation you're sabotaging your own side. Just my humble opinion is all.
Once again not disputing the hatch to be an escape plan, of course that's why it's there. Were strictly talking about the ones who spend more time searching for it and ignoring team work and gens to get everyone out.

This is the problem with hatches. In the old days, killing two survivors didn't stop the remaining from playing. Now when two are killed, the game changes completely, no more gen-working, just a game of hatch. Now the survivors either hope the other gets killed, or one of them suicides/DC's for the other. Fundamentally messes up the match.
Used to be if a killer was way better, he'd win. Now survivors can escape regardless of ability. But tunneling is wrong.
Well said buddy π couldn't agree with this anymore x

Yeah i somewhat feel this way but know there is no way this would happen because the game would likely lose a lot of survivor players. I feel like it's more likely to have a minimum gen completion requirement for last survivor.
I kinda feel its already a little unbalanced player wise anyway. I sit here sometimes struggling to get into a match lobby after a certain time of the day? And when I do get there eventually its a red rank killer, or the killer quits the lobby seeing a claudette, key or tool box in hand. π
It will eventually get better just needs a bit of balance to equal reasoning both side players and come to an agreement. Unfortunately everyone wants things different ways and come come to agreements on anything.

I'm in the camp of them adding the requirement for a certain amount of gens to be completed first before hatch will spawn for one survivor
Personally I think all 5 would be fair, the same it takes for the EG to be activated to open... I don't think it should spawn being the last survivor standing if the EG is not activated.. its far too easy for everyone to just give up team play and camp. It's not good game play like you said its not fair on the killer side of things either. And someone stating "you've pretty much lost anyway" ... well why though? If you both stealth around and stick together that last gen could of been worked on and you'd leave together... all about how much you want to be a team.
-
@AVoiceOfReason said:
You all technically lost and the survivor just wants to win at that point. The chance of winning still is very slim and the chances of getting caught for a 4k is very high. I would do the same thing. THEY want to WIN. It's it only you left, you either die for the survivor or you wait for the survivor to die because the killer isn't going to let you both go. He's probably searching for one of you for the 4k or just waiting for the slugged to get the other guy. This is a team-based game but that goes out the window when only 1 of you has a clear chance of survival.
We understand that mate. Really we do... everyone wants to win in this game, absolutely correct.
We're strictly talking about the ones who spend time ignoring gens, ignoring saves when needed and generally avoiding the purpose of being a team and camping the hatch until the last one dies. And this person bare in mind I'm discussing about had searched it the entire match and didn't do anything else to work as a team and just belted it last minute. He wasn't hooked once, and never did anything else. He walked past me 3 times ignoring the fact I was on the hook, the killer walked the opposite direction to him and he still continued to stay at the hatch. I was also running kindred so he would of seen the sight of the killer if he was around the hook radius.. he just continued to walk off and jump the hatch.
We're not chatting about game play or disputing that particular escape. We were talking about how this person didn't do anything and quite frankly didn't deserve to survive.

I'm overall (although not entirely) in the camp that survivors are favored in the game and think hatch right now encourages killers to slug and survivors to ditch their team. It just doesn't encourage good gameplay.
Its not fair both sides pal. I've played the killer and come across several times a survivor literally hiding in a locker directly infront of the hatch, god knows how long they've been in there for. But I've always gone "Hey! Nice try buster!" I mean its not even inconspicuous half the time with 3 crows above the locker ππ

Honestly this was a discussion about the hatch, not the next DBD Jezza Show... noones crying that's the bottom line, we're all stating different opinions and meant to be adults to agree to disagree. That's about as maturely I can break this all up.
You do you, if you accept to allow you're team to die despite them doing alot of work and unhooking you before your death to get out together to get a fast belt down the hatch bare in mind they've camped it the entire match then great one. π that's down down to you. Let me guess, you think because i have a low post count i'm a new player? lol No wonder youre crying on the forums about dying on the hook because nobody would save you. With your ######### attitude, i'd leave you on the hook too. Have fun sitting there.
You've just made an assumption I'm a new player though bro and a ridiculous assumption to make as well because some may not have the same attitude as you do. I can only guess that you're one of those that don't save, and don't fix the gens in hoping your last 2 team members die so you can gladly claim the exit? π have a sit down babe and accept someone doesn't have the same views as you do hun π it's not crying its a discussion, you could always just read and scroll through. But what exactly do you want the dev to do? Delete the hatch? Yeah and watch how fast the survivor pbase drops(again).
In my experience, if there's 2 people left and youre on the hook, you're getting camped and the killer isn't too far away. It actually makes zero logical sense for anyone with half a brain to come save you unless they're heavily prepared for a camping killer and/or just a camping/tunnel situation in general. People call this "overly immersed", but I actually consider it to be common sense.
Lotta people screaming bad player, when in fact its self preservation(no pun intended).
There's so many people in here turning a blind eye to actual survival game logic. Because very VERY rarely does getting that unhook actually matter, because youre going to get slugged and then the killer is going to hunt me down because i'm obviously somewhere near.
Yeah. I personally take a key in a lot of games. Why? Because solo players are terrible. But I typically take mine for aura reading so I can AVOID the killer, and AVOID running the killer into survivors doing gens. However, If i do take a key or I find one.. I will locate the hatch first and then come get you. If you see someone teabag the hatch, point, drop and pick up and Item... PAY FREAKING ATTENTION. the amount of stupid survivors i get teamed against who don't take the hint that I have a key GET OVER HERE is higher than Snoop.
However, The situation everyone keeps describing is the same. "dude left me behind" um, yeah...That's gonna happen, a lot. So stop complaining, since the behavior that is the cause of these types of actions is based on what the killer is -actually- going to do. Not what your hopes and dreams aspire to. Then its the same suggestion: delete hatch. man gtfo people
If i unhook you and we are the only two survivors left, the odds of us both dying are 95% or higher. I love how people are mad at logic in this game. Yall want someone to Leroy Jenkins you off the hook, i get it. Stop expecting it. If there's 2 of you left and you get hooked, you're dead. Put the salt back in the Morton's container and save it for someone who actually deserves it. Yall are a mess.
Unless the gates are open, I'm not saving you unless i have BT or Bottled Time.. which most of you won't even take the Protection hit if I do run one or both. You have 3 options. Play SWF, deal with it like the rest of us, or play something else.

I want you to do me a favor. I want you to record your next 25 games, and i want you to be one of the last 2 people standing, and I want you to specifically not have BT, and I want you to save the other person. Please provide all uploads so we can see your survival ratio. It will be next to zero unless youre playing in a SWF. This has been a FACT of Dead By Daylight.
The Hatch has to be there, or when 3 players die, EGC will never activate until a generator is done. Thus leaving a stalemate, like it used to be before EGC became a thing. I'm sick of seeing people complaining without any coherent suggestions to fix these.. "problems" when the problem is actually unfixable because of how either the killer is going to act or other survivors are going to act.

Right?! It was so weird because like... the killer was NO WHERE near us. She probably could have easily unhooked me & healed me, because after I got unhooked by the Feng (just before going into second hook stage), I was still able to stop and heal myself and casually stroll to the exit gates without running into the killer at all.
Absolutely no brains from others today π like I've just been tunnelled and out Meg comes out of nowhere and crouches infront of me basically wanting me to heal her.... sorry love, have you not seen this wack job behind me? Almost as if the killers gonna think "yeah alright, il stop the chase whilst Meg gets healed" π€π seriously man. π

@Chordyceps said:
Games where only two people are remaining can be pretty difficult, since if 1 person is getting chased, there's only 1 person working on gens. If the killer comes back after an unhook, it would be easy for them to down the unhooked person and then just chase the last remaining person. Because of this, a bunch of people probably view a match with only 2 people as an already lost game, so they may as well find the hatch so at least 1 person escapes instead of 0 people. So I'm not saying I commend people doing that, but I understand.
Haven't necessarily lost I got through half of the last gen when I got my first capture. It's just sheer selfish game play to deliberately stand on top of the hatch waiting for that person to die and jump down. Had that person came to save me, wed of been out. I just thought it was a smack in the teeth considering I unhooked that person twice.

If the gens aren't done and there's 2 survivors left. You pretty much lost at that point and the hatch is like a last chance thing. If 2 people are dead, I'm on the hook and the killer is chasing the 4th. At that point I just give up so they can try to find the hatch cause no one else is escaping at that point.
But yeah. It is annoying with randoms who give up and hide. Hoping you will be found first so they can grab the hatch.
That's basically what has happened on numerous occasions where they've found it, seen I'm being carried to the hook, rather than attempting to unhook me on my first hook phase they've just left me hanging there... its annoying asf cos I've fixed most of the gens in that march and unhooked this person on 2 occasions so it's sort of a smack in the sweetbags and a way of thanks for being the mug there. I've only been hooked once. Bit of a crappy way to repay someone's who got you you to 1 gen left and unhooked you and your team time over.

Hahah, right? In one match I watched someone sit at the top of the coal tower hiding in a corner for the entire match. I was seriously confused, like... ######### are you trying to accomplish.
Another match I swapped places with a Meg on a hook in ECG & she was freed and ran off, the killer chased her and was on the other side of the map--a Yui was doing a totem at my feet, literally at my feet, while I was on hook (first hook). When she was finished she walked away and ran out and left the match & left me on hook. A Feng had to leave the exit gates on the other side of the map and run all the way over to unhook me.
Now that's out of order game play to be honest. What's more important? Tram mates and all escaping together or fixing a sodding totem gaining 50bps π literally by your feets and sods off takes the piss.

Mine has been reasonably okay, up until some try hard trickster in the lab map decided to body block the stairs so I couldn't escape and continously throw knives at me. I dont think this is the solution. People are "survivor mains" by mentality. It is simply a different game if you switch roles. If you dont like killer, you dont like killer. This could just slightly shift the distribution for people that play both roles anyway.

Give shards for killer ranks? Idk. I remember getting shards per match back in the day
I was thinking the game needs to be fair both sides mate not necessarily just aimed at ranks. It's the whole game itself. The timing of matches, the DC players...

I agree the MMR is eventually going to destroy the game. The match making I don't believe to be fair at all, the time waiting for a match both sides is ridiculous. Like if I'm playing survivor I'm waiting a bit for a killer, then the killer leaves the lobby for seeing the keys, tool boxes or what ever we have on our hands to play in our match. The DCs are getting awful when a survivor is on their backsides once before hooked they DC.
Sadly, these things are what the game is about right now and it's just not fair for a killer to have players DC because the survivor can't take a hook and wait for someone to save them. Half the time I've fixed 3 gens before I've come across the killer or I've had games where its literally no gens have been fixed and the team have just been slugged in couple of minutes.
Something definitely needs to be done to make it equally fair both sides.

I watched videos from the ptb and it looks like trickster has still the same problems just a tiny bit better. Did someone play him and can tell how he feels to play?
I find him still as slow as he was when he first come out? But then again I'm Michael main or the crazy wackjob doctor.
Playing against him he seems to be a bit more difficult to escape a chase a d loop half the time, but alot of people have mastered how his perks work now. Best advice is to use him as main for a bit and master his perks hun. I literally found Michael a bit difficult, purely how slow it was to activate his skills.

Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences.
Oh ok

Michael can give a lot of information just by his stance
If he walks with his knife to his side and doesnt move his arms, it means hes in tier 1 OR tier 2 with Judiths Tombstone or Vanity Mirror
Dont know if they kept this since I havent seen a Myers run this perk in a hot minute, but when he stands still/is in tier 1 or tier 2 with the 2 add ons mentioned prior he normally has his hand open, how ever if he has Play With Your Food his hand will clench more and more depending on the amount of stacks he is
Ah cheers for this dude. I did wonder as he seems to be alot slower.. like even had a match with a few Freddy today and he's just become a bit more predictable now.

He was probably carrying around Judith's Tombstone.
ππ excellent.
Hes my main killer so if he's had some work done to lower his powers I'd be asking a question of why? And what the possible reasons may of been. I know Freddy had a nurf done on him or is due to. Cant get my head around that, find Freddy pretty simple to work against.

You responded to me. I'm pretty sure that means you intended it to be directed at me.
Your freedom of speech is intact, I am merely using my own to demonstrate how foolish your comment was.
Oh okay.

Honestly? You still sound like you are making a fool of yourself. This is a Forum, which means the moment you post here, your own comments are open to the same critiques and derision that you decided to broadside at others. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. As long as you keep saying silly things, I'm going to keep taking you apart, bit by bit, thread by thread. You and I don't know each other yet, but the night is young. I'm kind of like a snapping turtle; once my jaws are locked on something I'll die before I let go. Your assertion is wrong, and your delivery is rude. It has nothing redeeming in it.
You sound like an angry, wailing child standing in the middle of the room and demanding attention. You don't care if that attention is good or bad, only that you get it. Well congratulations; you have my rapt attention now. You didn't answer any of my assertions, such as the fact that most people here play both roles, and most people here are interested in fairness. You didn't answer them because you can't. What you are doing now is a well-known rhetorical gambit to try and play the victim. Nobody is telling you that you can't make a fool of yourself. I asked to "please" refrain from it, because otherwise I'm going to take you to task for it, over and over again. Let me point out why it is a winning strategy for you NOT to behave like a boor:
- You don't have to deal with people like me.
- You don't look ridiculous to everyone who reads your posts.
- Avoiding nonsense posts means people will pay attention to you when you do a good one.
- It makes you more likeable.
- For better or for worst, the delivery of your feedback or opinions improves their chances of winning people over.
I had a longer list, but I think these five alone should be bonus enough reason for anyone with half a brain to see the merit. But if you insist on continuing with your assertions, you will need to provide more support for them. Please clarify and support your wild, insulting comments. Can you?
Yeah I'm not reading that wall of text bruh. π΄

Posts like this are rather embarrassing. Please don't make a fool out of yourself with this nonsense, because I don't really want waste the time correcting you properly, but I will. Most people here play both Killer and Survivor. Most players are not annoying, whining people pushing forth an "us versus them" rant, nor looking to give an edge to one role or the other. Most of us are just interested in a good game. Your post is incorrect and not productive to this aim.
Oh okay so freedom of speech I see no longer exists... maybe just scroll past my comment then if it's not helpful? ... How's that sound? π€·ββοΈ

I'm not sure what makes you label me a "killer fanboy." Most people here know that I play Solo Q Survivor and Killer in an even split.
Your post isn't constructive and exists solely to attack me, which I'm not sure why you are doing that.
You are making a fool out of yourself.
I'm not too sure how you worked it out that I was insulting you? π€ I didn't specifically say "YOU'RE a killer fan boy" I literally said "seems to be a lot of killer fan boys"... honestly don't know where you worked out I was attacking you.. I'm sorry you feel that way, but in general I just meant the killer side of things... I also at the end said both sides should play how they want, and mentioned a list over last few weeks I've seen of what the killers don't like about the survivors and how they play... and I've also seen the same from the survivors. Unless I've misread my own message and some how called you a nasty name i don't see how my freedom of speech was wrong here... or does that no longer apply for anyone these days? ... I wasn't specifically calling you out as 1.
Also you're title doesn't really do the justice of attack either " you people are weird" .. I mean, have a word.

I just want to end no-win scenario's.
It should have a time requirement as well, no unhooking as soon as the Killers back is turned.
Why don't we just take all the survivors objectives away π€·ββοΈ there seems to be alot if killer fan boys on here recently that don't like anything a survivor does on this game. Gonna get to a point more and more people are gonna play less. Let's face it nothing a survivor is allowed to do now is there?
1. Fixing gens is a problem and causes DC after 2 go off.
2. Not allowed to save their team.
3. Anytime a gen is fixed its gen rushed. Bare in mind it takes 80 seconds to fix one (and couldn't go any slower if that tried)
Oh no.. the list goes on but I'd be here all day. Just play how you wanna play and that works both sides.

To be fair a lot times Wraiths will attempt to leave the area entirely but catch a glimpse of someone close by on their way to the hook and follow them back. Wraith isnβt slow by any means and itβs entirely possible for many survivors to not notice youβre tracking them to the hook giving them an honest reason to believe you were standing still nearby.
Ah no this guy literally stood at the hook π even said "smooth camping skills" to the killer and his reply "thankyou, it's the only way" π

Give it a go and see it only really works on solo players and once on a good SWF and watch as you face solos- where you would've won anyway- or a SWF and get steamrolled.
I've come up against alot him today, and it's been the same everytime π then I've just had Michael and he's standing infront of me like I've got an amazing view of the back of his head and he's slugged down 2 of my other team mates. So I've just basically killed myself and moved on to another match π has anyone else had matches like that? One after the other?

I mean you have 8+chances to avoid being injured.... huntress only needs 1
Yeah man I know that the amount of times I've avoided those to the sweetbag is insane.
I'm just simply saying that's what most survivors are moaning at.

I downloaded twitter just for dbd and saw a bunch of hate comments saying that trickster is already strong and "its a new killer, you won't get good with him directly so don't ask for a buff"
This is one of the few patches im looking forward to, sure it's not a major buff and main event is still kinda bad but the fact the devs didn't wait for their useless statistics to make a change is a huge win.
Not gonna lie to you he is pretty strong in sense of he starts the trail with 60 knives π I mean even playing him as a killer that's mental and can see why survivors are going mental.
He either needs a nerf on the knives or a buff on speed. To have both skills would be ridiculous.

All survivors get out the EG and all of us get a message of " why don't you suck your mum" ... gotta be the best hate speech I've had π€¦ββοΈπ€£
