Do u really have to ask that question?

I asked because I thought I was insane and needed a second based opinion. Turns out I got a lot of positive feedback from it. π thankyou for asking your question though.

I use to do that but the devs have removed the ability to run in front of a killer and get into chase without them moving, so now you can't even do that with afk killers anymore. That was the only saving grace when going against afk killers for me.
I just get out of there ASAP now and move onto the next match.
I haven't played that long to know that existed lol only played like 3 months pushing... so still learning some tac tics and learning curves. But what I do know is, if its an afk don't wait about just leave and find a more lively match.
Oh and also ALWAYS prepare yourself for to be chased. I have a specific game plan every match, and if that falls apart. You literally have approximately 30 seconds to think of something else to avoid that same mistake happening. I have days where I'm literally the most awful survivor going, and some days and matches I do really well.
Like my guy was slugged on the floor against trickster today, using swf he's threatened to just DC (nothing annoys me more than someone rage quitting).. so I told him to grow a pair, hang on 2 seconds. Knowing I had BT, and unbreakable. I told the others to hold the EG for a few seconds, managed to get him up, told him to run and and to open the gates, of course by the time the killer went back to chase the guy I revived my unbreakable was ready and we all got out. π let's just say the guy wasn't happy at all π

"The killer's over here!"
"Where?"
"Here by me!"
"Where are you?"
"By the thing... you know... with the trees!"
...
"######### I thought you said the killer was by you!"
"Well he was when I said it!"
Literally!!....
Narrows it down to the entire map. Midwich.....
" who is it? where are you and which way they go"
" yeah, its Michael downstairs bro... he went past the gen I was working on"
You: "...... "
Basically narrows it down to anywhere in that match really. Unless anyone speaks fluent DBD ... none of that would make any sense, and half the time although I'm in the chat, I just go where I feel safe and if I run into Michael.... then it's a show down. Nobody in SWF is out to get the killer, bully him... but importantly all 5 of us are battling both sides and both sides want to win. I've had loads of swf matches as a killer and they're really not that bad... I find it a positive challenge to get good, and just have fun. Those who get mad over this stuff... literally take the game too seriously.

Why would you stick around anyway with an afk killer, it's not like you can farm boldness points off them anymore so you may as well dip and go into the next match.
I'm guessing like the other guys have said above get bold points and loot ect, I suppose in some ways it makes sense, but I wouldn't risk that for the amount of extra BP that I can make if j went into a new match and played against a killer that wasn't afk.
To me it seems pretty dumb to try and risk something I could make up for in a decent match.. if that made any sense?

Won't lie I've done it against pyramid head, soon changed my mind when he moved π³ Kate bricked her knickers for definite at that point π

I could slightly see being annoyed at the killer because it's just cheesy and boring, but even then really who's fault is it at the end of it all?
Well apparently it was mine they got hooked and killed because I wasn't there to make any saves π€£π

Escaping to survive (the main objective of a "survivor") is not giving up and doing nothing. You just need to play smart based off the scenario.
In my example people were running into big shack basement while a NOED killer was nearby. That is not the smart decision.
Would say that's suicide to be fair. π³

I wish I could be in your shoes, I'm going crazy.
Ah screw it, j just suicide if I'm being face camped on the hook. Stress free and move on to the next match... yes it's pants for your other survivors but 9 times out 10 if they don't have BT they're only putting themselves at stake. May as well just do em a fave in a way and just suicide. That's the only time I find suicide on hook acceptable.
-
I just had that with trickster, he left me slugging and run off to find the hatch. Little did he know big balls bill has unbreakable and left behind on.
Never turn your back on your opponent π
-
Mate i get aniallated by SWF even as a solo survivor π like half the time I'm proper bait dobbed in the dirt by those lot because I'm not in the party with them. So like il have a chase (always fun with GF, Michael or Hillbilly) or il take the slap from unhooking to quickly and they'll still make me out to be the bad guy at the end chat π
It needs to be balanced for definite. They're a pain in the backside from a killers POV as well. π like il just massively screwed over by them.

Aww thankyou guys for the advice here.. appreciate it π I always get stuck on it as I've never run it as playing a killer, so I had no idea what sort of perk it would be. I've heard mixed emotions of how survivors think of it some to be cool with it (like myself) and others who absolutely hate it, couple I've heard in a group chat saying it's cheating π will put that down to never being prepared for the chases which obviously is one thing you always prepare yourself with at the start of every match. Was very confused when I hid in a locker how he knew I was in there π I'm guessing that was either a coincidence or I didn't get inside it on time.
Thankyou all once again for the explanation of how the perks run π

I see the game as playing a slasher film. If I can hear people(as I should since I have ears) I would like to find them and interrupt them as well. On the flip side it would keep information concise and keep players immersed I would think.
But that is only a hypothetical on proximity chat which may have a Max strength of touching characters and a min strength of 10 feet where it fades in between.
But what if they're having a conversation based on the colour of their knickers π
-
I kinda feel like a killer being able to hear the swf talking would be a lack of privacy though? I mean what if they are genuinely having a deep conversation about something that isn't to do with the game? π³
I wouldn't want a random person on the other side hearing about what colour my knickers are π unless of course I have miss read some of yall messages, then feel absolutely free to elaborate simply for a simple mind to understand correctly π€£π

Nice. So your opponents were hot trash. I can't even IMAGINE losing as spirit, and you can really only lose as oni if you aren't good in AND out of your power. There's really no excuse to lose as either. Not that oni is OP, just that if you're good with him he isn't beatable. Kinda like nurse, actually. Spirit though... She's so OP that you should NEVER lose as her. Her skill floor will be the lowest in the game after the freddy nerf, and when shes the killer, the survivors skill doesn't matter. Spirit might not be the strongest killer in the game, but she is one of the easiest, and her power level is much higher than it should be considering just HOW easy it is to play her. If a spirit lost, she was probably boosted to high ranks by trashy survivors, and can't track by footsteps. Otherwise you guys were playing with VERY new players.
I've got out against Oni a couple of times without swf. Got out on my last match of the day in Midwich, even with the hatch locked.. although seriously Midwich map really sucks ass as a survivor let alone what it was like as killer. I've only ever escaped maybe 3 times with spirit and nurse they are hard-core if they're played efficiently.
I said good game to my Oni yesterday and he literally had the right mood about it. The opponent we had during swf (even though it was my second and last match with them) I said good game, they was adament I won due to swf, I mean, yup sure fair enough... swf is a pain in the arse for killers for a definite, most of my swf are with my mates or my sister and her boyfriend π we don't speak fluent dbd so it's not tension taking... but my swf I was in yesterday during the match against the "hot trash opponent" they were speaking fluent dbd like "he's got noed... let's find the totem before we leave... hes over by the killer shack or main building " π so I can see the frustration with it for killers, really I do.
However, players aren't going to stop playing swf with their mates because the killers get upset unfortunately. It's horrible when I play killer, because even when they've won il get a message like get good or haha.
You won, take your win and drop out my chat fool.

It happened a lot lol. I don't even play nurse now. I feel like she's a killer you have to use every day. Or you forget all muscle memory with her if you let her sit. At least without thousands of hours with her. And I really have no interest in using her -that- much
I don't use nurse at all when I play the killer side. I literally can't stand how she's run. I prefer Michael main. The only trouble I find with him, his powers take a short while to activate. Other than that I love the idea of potentially making the survivors jump on the other side of the TV π
I know if I'm against Michael I know how unpredictable he is, like you'll turn the cam round, and you're safe, do it again and he's literally staring you out whilst you fix a gen π he really cracks me up, just as much as ghost face does. I love those 2 so much ππ

I'm wondering why it's so wrong that a survivor hides around 1 gen and why its alright for a killer to do it. Literally face camped from the very start and it was just marvellous how none of us had seen her but was hanging round this final gennie the whole time π

Michael and ghost face.
Have the most hilarious matches with ghost face most times. -
@IWasLeft2Die said:
Honestly when that happens I really hope the killer isn't a tool by killing you. To me it's an unspoken rule to give the last survivor hatch if their team ditches them (especially early on)
My last match just now Michael downed claudette and Bill (literally doing no gens at the final 2 survivors) camping the hatch unfortunately Michael had already then discovered the hatch, on goes obsession, downs Bill, hooks him he's dead and then claudette and Michael had a kiss chase around the skip vaulting the pallet. I'm sitting there thinking how has Michael put up with that bs and not broke the pallet... short time later he did and oops obsession on again, crawls to the hatch and he shuts it on her face π
I was baffled how much tolerance that player had with claudette vaulting that pallet for so long! π of course claudette got me killed to start with just healing herself in on the stairs and stood there, wouldn't let me pass at all and the player was so smug and proud of themselves for doing so, so in revenge is was a message to the killer to lock that damn hatch π full thumbs and props for that killer at the end for putting up with such nonsense from her !

It was only trapper π if it was doctor or spirit or something like that I'd of understood. One went down and the other 2 tried to heal the person on the floor so of course he's solid sandbagged them both and all 3 just rage quit.
Did ask why... apparently the killer was a in some what a massive **** can't say the actual word for profanity but it definitely starts with a C π
I mean if you're gonna hang about healing infront of him, as if he's gonna go yeah alright then. Basically just asked for spanking. Poor thing only had like 6k bless him. Although it was easier to hatch it, felt bad cos I could of stayed there and allowed him to hook me at least.

I mean the way you see them now for the killer, that they glow red, same with totems and for survivors to see dying survivors and hooked ones. Thats all there should be. any other aura reading options should just be gone from perks.
I feel like some players playing as the want alot more powers than what they have? As i said i do play killer and the powers we do have already are insane. We have bbq , hex , obsession... so many. I feel if we have anything else more powerful it would be pointless for a survivor to play and would be a little unfair in some ways.

I don't know so much about SWF I prefer to go alone without someone else giving me instructions of where the killer is. I find that to bum the whole tension out. I've been mostly reading a lot of survivors/killers call each other names, blame each other for various reasons, most of the topics in general discussions are about that and I've seen that you can report others for various reasons. However, there is a thumbs up option as well. Do you ever give other survivors a thumbs up after a match?
I've give killers mostly thumbs up. Providing they've actually given me and my team a fair match to play. If I'm being body blocked or my ass is taken hostage I fairly report them.
All depends how they play, I've had to report 2 of my team a few days ago for deliberately body blocking me in a corner after healing them both, and the reason for it they had was I apparently brought the killer to them. If I had the perk to see where my team were and it was deliberately done then yeah call me out and sabotage me. But I didn't. I saved, I healed, I fixed gennies. I think the more reason of it being was because they were hooked and I wasn't and they just wanted me to be hooked to make it even. Had asked if that was the case and they said it was down to me bringing the killer to them.so I was gonna go down and out the game. So therefore rightly so reported them both.
But yeah if you're a chill player both sides il send a thumbs up over.

Aww I got you now.
Well hopefully give it a break for a bit and it'll be better when you next play. I agree with you every word you said about the powers and some of them are OP for sure. In some cases it's also how the player is as well. Nobody likes a quick match of slugging either.
It's great fun when I'm laying there left to die, I swear they forget sometimes that unbreakable is an excellent pay back at times. Unless of course you're downed again then you're nackered.

Just killers winning way too much as usual. What few matches I can tolerate. Practically every match ended in a 4K. Horribly balanced.
Any elaborations to winning too much or the horribly balanced there? π€
I mean, is it how the killers are playing? Or horribly balanced as in the rankings? .. because I would agree completely on the balancing of rank comparisons when eventually getting a match together. Had a few today of red rank killers and 2 red rank survivors and I'm a yellow rank but still played alot better than the other 3 survivors. Managed to escape through an EG and others were hooked.
I'm still convinced the killer must of made his challenge for kills. There was absolutely no way that was part of my skill. More being my lucky match π³

2 claudettes 1 hooked, I go for the safe and the other claudette wants to come with me. π³ I guess just incase I'm doing the save wrong? π
1 of 2 claudettes need healing... so heal her, and the other claudette runs the killer to us and tries healing her twin with me π sorry, are you trying to get us all wiped out or what? π
Also a Meg, obviously a new player, or just absolutely useless for a green rank... CANT DO SKILL CHECKS. Blows up every gen we were fixing π€β
Heres the punchline.. we all died. I died from my team mates (strangely enough all had the same gamer tag.. don't know for sure if they were partying and that was their agenda. Would never be able to prove that)

But that is the entire problem, everyone starts off about SWF. SWF alone removes about 80% of the games spontaneusness and suprise elements which is what should be the games strong points. Personally i tihnk there should not be any aura reading options on perks. With killers seeing gens and seeing slugged / hooked survivors being the exception.
Seeing gens? So basically if one survivor was fixing them you'd be able to see them straight away? Or? I would say bbq covers the aura enough of survivors as it is, I don't use that perk as a killer mainly because I like the tension of not seeing auras too much.

Well then uninstall the game if salty dms stresses you out instead of b****ing about it on an online forum.
Clearly from your original message above seems like you unhooked the guy unsafely and like a punk just ran to the exit gate without taking a hit for your team mate. Though I think the guy shouldnβt have wasted his time on you.
Oh really, yall gonna start being rude?
You're literally complaining about how a killer plays mate.
I suggest you re read my original post again babe, like thoroughly read it... it literally says in there I was fixing the last gen quite a bit away from the dude, the first guy impeded the gate and ran and I went back for him, he hung around too long instead of running, tried going back for him the second time and wouldn't of made it by the time i got round the killer. So you're comment above me is absolutely ridiculous.
I've tried to put it nice as i can and you're coming at me being all rude. We're all having comments based on experiences of salty inboxes mainly from our own team, not ranting about how a killer plays the game.
I simply suggest if you're gonna be a rude jerk you do not respond to anymore of my messages, because they will be ignored.
Have a good day.
