I once had a game where a group of survivors sent me to pre-rework Ormond. Most of them were running stuff like Soul Guard/Unbreakable and they were coordinating chases into Head-Ons so I assume they were a SWF. To top it off, I was playing Trapper. They 3-genned themselves and I was able to camp a guy on the hook and prevent the last guy from doing the final gen. I actually managed to get a 4k.
One dude ended up sending me a message calling me the worst killer in the game and I just replied with "You lost to the worst killer in the game?" I live for the salt.
Must of expected you to cry your eyes out on the other side π like I just read them comically now, and think where do they find the time? By the time they've messaged you waiting for you to actually care, they could of been in another match! π

People can play how they want, still doesnβt mean they wonβt get criticised for it. Itβs a ######### way to play. It ruins someone elses fun of the game and it also makes them depip because they were unlucky to get found first and caught, itβs just a toxic way to play. If you teabagged though, you probably deserve it then.
Then uninstall the game if it stresses you out lol , you ranting about how killers play in a forum is giving them more of an ammunition to play that way. π
Like I said suicide or hang there for a bit to help your team get those gens done. You'll have more respect for it.
Yes it's may ruin your side of it, but everytime someone DCs ect that killers laughing because they got under your skin. This thread is based on salty players based on messages not salty players based on how a killer plays. I agree it's a massive pain, but the bottom line is they're not breaking game rules, jus double checked myself of the rules. Tunnelling/camping isn't rules breaking. And that goes for those particular killers who complain of gen camping... its annoying asf. But it's not rule breaking.

I've had more salt from teammates than opponents to the side I was playing. Especially one I remember who decided to wait in a locker through both my hook states (we were the last 2) and then got pissy because Trapper found the hatch he wanted, so he missed out. He messaged me "Use your brain". I replied "I did and that's why you didn't get the hatch", then blocked and moved on. Can't think they liked that much.
πππ not gonna lie theres has been a couple of occasions I've had the same situation of hatch campers... like I've died then instantly messaged the killer saying to lock the hatch and told them.the location of it obviously knowing through using left behind. And he did, he locked it. I had a similar message saying "get good" ... my reply was " I am good, that's why the hatch is locked " to reply back "what do you mean?" " how do you think the killer knew where the hatch was and locked it so fast" oh the swearing of abuse i got afterwards is far too explicit... gave it a week later "thanks for getting me banned on xbox live" .... "you're welcome you mouth fΓΓΓ " and blocked him ππ€£
seriously don't ever stitch me up .... you won't win. π

Oh, yeah. I had someone moaning 'why didn't you save me, I was running Adrenaline and 'some other perk I can't remember'.
When I she was right in the middle of the map, the other teammate ran out of the exit gate (so I was alone). And the killer chased me out.
I just typed back 'I was running Self Preservation.' and left. Lol.
πππ that's excellent.

I canβt cause Iβm console and itβs a PC player, so thereβs no communication afterwards.
I understand if its end game, but for the first guy you down and then just stand there until he dies, itβs a **** way to play and even ruins that guys game.
Welcome to dead by daylight where players are free to play how they want! π€
Unfortunately camping/ tunnelling is against the dbd rules. Its game play and tac tic.. it doesn't benefit the killer as 3 gens are automatically and almost instantly blast in their face. Complaining or giving salt is exactly what those particular killers want you to do. If I come across camper they can bet their sorry butt's I ain't playing that BS and will suicide to for a different match (sorry team but that game play is wack!)
Just suicide the hook and move forward. What ever you do don't DC nothing worse than any player or killer DCing.. may as well uninstall the game if you're easily aggy about how someone plays.

Honestly I only get salty at killers who camp a hook until a player is dead, what **** way to play.
Yeah man that whinds me up too, but I wouldn't give them a pants inbox over it, I'd just happily move to the next match... ranting in their DM isn't gonna change how they play after all.

Was playing 3SWF, the random was caught while we were working on the first gens. I could see them being face camped by a Hillbilly revving his chainsaw, this was also before he could overheat. None of my swf was running BT so going for save wouldn't have been very successful, if anything it just would've been a dumb hook swap. Instead of rewarding Hillbilly's camping we focused on gens. At time I had messages off but friend requests open. The random was so mad that as soon as they were sacrificed they used the ps4 loophole of sending a message with a friend request to cuss at me and complain that I didn't save them. My two swf teammates didn't get anything. π
ππ dear god. Some people crack me up! Yunno you're gonn get salty message of some kind getting a freida request I never get requests unless I'm in a chill end chat and we hit off together quite well. Killer mainly I make more friendships with surprisingly ! I used the phrase of "hags spreading her traps quicker than a hooker and her legs" π genuinely had him hysterical! I half expected him to have a go or something but hit the barrel quite well.
-
"Should they have escaped better?" π that's well good!!
Almost like some survivors are expected to find a grapling rope or something π, I just don't understand all the toxic, and what's the point and achievement from it?
Some players get more BP than them so they'll have a kick off about that as well most likely. "How you get all those points, you didn't do alot" ... no mate almost like my arse hasn't hasn't tunnelled on and off for 10 minutes or saved you from dying π
-
I don't see anything beneficial to the killer face camping a hook... if you think about it logically 3 other survivors are fixing gens mostly because 1 of those will literally be running kindred so will see the killer around the hook radius camping. So in the survivors head its either go for that poor sod on the hook and get a spanking, or get 3 gens done around the same time, which I'd say would be more of a kick in the face for that killer. π€
Then another 1 could get chased, hooked and camped and the other 2 are fixing gens that's near enough game over for the killer just for the whole "il just camp" because its obviously a genius idea waiting for the 2 hooked ones to die. Thats 4 minutes wasted pretty much. In that 4 minutes he could of probably downed and hooked 2 people in that time, but instead unfortunately wasted time and now the other 2 can potentially get out the door.
Seen it happen myself a few times. Got a message on my box somewhere to prove of a rediculous message from them of "you got lucky"
But we didn't get lucky you just made the game as a no brainer. I run kindred all the time so I can see what they do the whole time π
-
Oh okay well that's your view, I didn't ask for my skill to be brought into it. I work full time anyway, but seems that every wraith I play against spends most of his time invisible camping the hook someone's on. Soo... for that reason just shows my hatred for the character.

As a killer and survivor player who spent thousands of hours in DBD I'd suggest to set the BBQ aura reading ability and the perk "kindred" as base kit. "Kindred" is an awesome perk for solo survivors, but not many people are using it. "Kindred" gives them informations about the killers behaviour (e.g. if he is camping or targeting another person) SWF squads with teamspeakΒ already have. Every solo player know the problem, if no one is going to unhook u or three guys are rushing your hook while the killer is staying next to u. So "Kindred" would help a lot.
On the killers side I would like to get the BBQ aura reading ability as base kit. First u should be able to see the survivors aura, while hiding in locker, like it was a long time ago. Then maybe u should change the color of the aura so that can u see them better sitting behind a gen. Im playing BBQ in a lot of my matches and it is still annoying, how often I canΒ΄t see anyone instead of the hooked guy. I guess super sneaky and immersed survivors will dislike this idea, but at least it will encourage a lot of killers not to camp the hook and to switch to another target. Finally it would be a buff for both sides.
What do u guys think about?
I agree 100% with the kindred as survivors.
But as a killer pov bbq no.
Bbq shouldn't be allowed to see everything a survivor does that would make it unfair. It's bad enough we can see them fixing gens close by or running around.
To be to stop them countering bbq would be awful. Hiding in lockers is literally of them countering our bbq perk, play smart and have iron maiden on you'd be amazed how many times you'll catch the locker rats hiding in there that way.
I'm thinking of survivors point of view. Killers can't have everything to stop survivors with their objectives. They have to have some sort of 50/50. I play both before anyone has some rampage and I didn't comment this to have a blow out with anyone or for anyone to agree with me.

Being face camped isnt exactly fun so i understand why one would suicide on hook because of that. So i say it is justified in this case.
I'd say this is very justified... I normally suicide on the hook with a face camper or if there 3 people working on gens AS IF I'm gonna waste my time wetting my pants on the hook until someone gets me.. imma bail and go into another match. Especially if its spirit or wraith. You're all screwed see ya later teamπ

I had one yesterday from a team mate going on at me for leaving via the hatch with his key even though everyone else was dead with 1 gen left & spirit had closed the hatch & gates were pretty close together sure I was just gonna go kill myself after finding a key on the floor & knowing where the hatch was!
Oh of course, it's almost like you wanna be hanging around with a nutter ready to hook your ass ain't it? πππ like I've done that a few times! But it wasn't the hatch they got the ump about it was the fact I used their key! God forbid you use someone else's stuff to help you out ! Some People forget it's a team game. Like I've genuinely been sand bagged and hooked to death If they're chats available I'm literally like go find the hatch and scram! π saying this I've done this to someone and they've messaged back "in future don't tell me that to do " π³ like, alright mate you can die next time then lol

Some people are just salty because they aren't as good at the game as they think they are.
I went out of my way to help a streamer the other day, saved them, took protection hits, flashlight saved them twice and they still complained how me and the rest of the team were garbage lmao.
Honestly don't worry about it they're just sore losers and they take a video game way to seriously lol.
Ah not too worried, I actually felt really bad for them to take the time to message me something so embarrassing. Like actually tried to speak fluent dbd to me as well π worst thing is he was on about ranks trying to shame my rank (yellow at the moment I work full time ) said he was red rank survivor turns out he lied and was infact a green and tried to say how all yellow ranks are trash ect... my response was ranks are the equivalent of a chocolate tea pot and if he was a red rank he would of played the game alot better and not cry his eyes out at the end chat because he lost. π€·ββοΈ can correct me if you want of being out of order if you like, I personally didn't see any thing wrong with what I had said there.

Yes unbreakable is an amazing perk! That's also part of why you want to be selective about who you hook and who you slug, because if you slug someone , eat their unbreakable and slug them again, you don't also want to eat their hook perks too! Good survivors will make you change targets, but when there is space not to, it's great to get "the good version" of the same events and interactions, as killer.
Oh I've never been slugged twice after unbreakable π I mean he had that opportunity but sodden, so it was a more fool him. The other survivor literally body blocked me so many times for me to get slugged so I just thought up yours and jumped the hatch. π was convinced they were tryna get me killed in the first place.
-
@xenotimebong said:
Iβm not talking about accidentally losing someone and having them bleed out, or slugging someone a couple of times and their timer naturally expiring, or survivors who crawl into a corner with no hooks on purpose. Iβm talking about killers who down someone, and then stand over their downed body for several minutes until they bleed out.
Why is this acceptable to the devs? It serves absolutely no purpose except to grief someone. Itβs rude, itβs toxic and it has no justification in terms of game mechanics. So why is this not bannable?
And please donβt say βwell youβll bleed out eventuallyβ. I donβt think thatβs a good justification to allow griefing behaviour. If someone has video evidence of a killer doing this, when itβs clear that they could easily hook the survivor but refuse to, I donβt see how it can possibly be justified.
Ahh this my friend is what the beauty of running unbreakable is π
I'm constantly left to bleed out, what's funny is a few times happened to be next to the hatch and the killers gone after the survivors that's left me there and hooked them... I my guy has just revived and I'm jumping down that hatch see you freaking later. π€
-
I normally get sandbagged first carrying a key π I'm like well I'm not gonna use that anymore. Killer Is blatantly gonna pee his pants crying and kick me in the nuts so Il just use Left Behind perk instead. Least it's inconspicuous until the end game to show what perks I've got π€·ββοΈπ
Saying this, most killers know the maps literally with their eyes shut and lock the damn thing anyway, so regardless if I'm the last standing il just use the exit gate, I'm nackered anyway by this point so it's a case of "il just move on to the next match, it's a no brainer not to stress"

Oh here we go again with the same complaints π

Also if youβre on console how do you know itβs an SWF?
Teabagging is a problem when you're on the hook and none of your team has the balls to save you because some muppets standing in front of you. ππ but hey! Welcome to DBD where you can play how you want and noones happy!.... turn end chat off, or if the heat can't be handled uninstall the game π€¦ββοΈπ€―
-
Best thing to do pal is to turn your end chat off. I mean I've had so much abuse today its been unreal both sides. I've played alot of survivor match and because I didn't ready up within 3 seconds (sorting my perks and BP web out) i got abuse before we even started the match saying "hurry up you cretin) or something like "you have your nan as your DP and you're as slow as her ) ... literally mate I felt bad for them taking the time for the most embarrassing message I've ever read.
Turn off your end chat babe, seriously its not worth stressing. However, what you've said about how they've played is standard allow game play. But you've broken yourself and stressed out over someone being a class clown to message you and DCing is exactly what they expected and wanted you to do. Take a breather from it, turn your chat off. Cant narrow that anymore. Hope you're alright now x

@kaeru said:
Nope, I haven't noticed. It's really rare to see someone trash talk at the end of the match. I made a thread about it long ago, and I figured that if you play relatively fair to survivors, they not gonna insult you at the end.

And I got 5 stacks and killed everyone.
It was fun. God bless tunneling, if she hadn't found it, I would have tunneled her anyway, ######### Yun.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/R0IHY47S1EAY/20210416053428-1.jpg
To be fair as playing a killer myself, this has happened to me with a generator, I've found them on the gen caught them and put them on the hook and the person I hooked stupidly went back for the same gen so I hooked the person again. I then got accused of tunnelling them. My explanation was if you're ever caught on a gen don't go back to the one I've just caught you on.
As a survivor if I'm caught at a gen, and managed to get away I always find another gen the opposite side of map never the same one, it's obvious that it will be the first place that killer will check π

What exactly has a chase got to do with jt? When you've unhooked and done gens from the start π
-
@selflessnea said:
I mean it all comes down to what is going on. It's somewhat better to get a 3 out then to greed a 4 out that results in a 2k. Also they might not be confident in themselves and teammates to get you out by body blocking. I know you said you were on midwich but sometimes you might be on a bigger map and go down across the map from the gates. If the killer is proximity camping and you and I are the only survivors left, you can almost guarantee I will leave. The likely hood of us both getting out even with BT is smaller depending on the map and lethality of the killer.
Also maybe they got chased the majority of the match and felt like they did there part. Or they are just new and want to get an escape. Who knows. I've done 5 gen chases only to get face camped with noed and have my team instantly leave. But it is what it is.
They did their part in getting caught twice I saved them twice plus fixed most gens and they run off. π if that's fair game play of allowing someone to put their neck out and leaving them behind.. carry on π
-
@Akito said:
After 7100 hrs: This happened to me quiet often. You did game deciding things and even whenthe Killer didnt camped, or had noed, or oneshot they just ran out. Games where I did 5 gens or most gens, many unhooks and silly long chases. Games where "carrying" gets a new definition.
So you can go the hard way and keep going. Being a good human in a videogame- But I'll promise you, either you'll quit the game or you start not carring anymore and instead to everything that's fun for you
My number rule: I have a chance to leave? I'll leave.
The passive effect of that is that if the others just leave you behind, you start to care way less than before. Because you would do the exact same.
So yea, have fun having games being like that. Won't be the last one
So if I'm hooked to the door I'm next too available to leave you just run past me and leave then π

Agree but we can't say rank doesn't totally matter cuz it does at some point which is why it's in game it's normally red rank has more practice then green rank etc
Reason for that, is because you'll find most people spend 150 hours + on this game to get that red rank back again.
I've come across so many killers dropping in my xbox chat like "haha you're trash only rank 18" my reply being yeah mate it's because I work 6 days a week 12 hours π

1st. If you 3 gen yourselves and I hook someone near a gen you bet your pants that I will eventually patrol back to that gen and hook. That is not camping.
2nd. If are on your 2nd hook and you purposely go for the body block, taunt, or just try to get my aggro and you get downed easily and die. That is not tunneling.
Some wacky survivors playing today. (Also Trickster is not OP now because he got some buffs)

That's contradictory a lil bit lol u said rank on surv doesn't matter but on killer does because u play against hard and skillful players and swf so how their rank doesn't matter if u struggle to beat them in red ranks when they are red ranks too, also would u say u struggle to win if u got matched with bunch of green rank survs? No u wouldn't u would wipe floor with them like any other red rank killer or surv in red ranks against green rank killer
I'm a yellow rank and I still managed to loop and escape the exit gate π so once again ranks dont matter. Its the hours practice you put in to being an under dog.
Imagine a yellow rank fixing the last gens alone, him locking the hatch and them.lopping him and it the front door π€

Ill give away any killer you want if you exchange SWF to be gone or nerfed properly in return. We have a deal?

Survivors need to go.
They keep t-bagging me, using flashlight macros, taking sweaty offerings like Haddonfield when I am just trying to have fun, saying mean things in post game chat almost every game. In my opinion survivors need to get out of the game.
No survivors no game.
