People who just say get good are part of the toxic elite, just putting it out there. And I appreciate everyone else's attempts to give us tips and stuff, but there's literally nothing you can do to beat the survivors sometimes because you were a weak killer, had weak perks, had weak add-ons, or didn't slug and tunnel. And the survivors who get away are the ones who takes hits, while you're carrying someone, for basically no reason. Or the ones who spend the whole match following you for the flashlight save. When survivors have that much time to mess around AND do all the gens very quickly, something is wrong with the game, not with the killer.
I've read and totally understood everything you've said here.
But there's 2 things I have to admit not agreeing with you on (please forgive me for my personal opinion and hope there won't be animosity)
But where you've said the whole gen takes too quickly to fix.... I disagree in respect they take nearly a minute and 30 seconds to complete alone. (Having said that I do think instead of allowing max of 3 on a gen it literally should be 1 only) as it IS far too quick with more than 1... really do agree with you in that respect.
Secondly, the whole killers aren't the issue.... actually (playing both sides) ... I generally think sometimes it is an issue with them when it comes to face camping or slugging. They're my only issues I have... not the tunnelling or chasing they're easy to counter and so many options pallets windows ect.... its more the hook teabagging and slugging and keeping players hostage injured in a basement I can't stand....
What I'm trying to say is both sides have flaws but the punchline is... one side is gonna win and the other won't. And they're is no need for any toxic behaviour or animosity as moral of the story is... its a game.
I do appreciate what you're saying and really hope you won't take that in anyway less than a typical gaming point of view. As I'm totally understanding everything you've said since your first comment x

It's because killers don't feel powerful like they should be. On the off chance you're winning a match, you're barely keeping up with the survivors on their objectives. And they can make so many misplays and not get punished for it in the end, but you make 1 mistake and it's over.
Yunnoo I said something along those lines of yours and as true as they are my reply I got from many on here was "git good" π like yeah cheers man thats a big help fam! ππ
But I generally see your point, was pretty much the point I've tried making several times, nice to see someone on the same wave length. I play survivor and have done alot recently despite my relationship I have with me ol babe Michael (will see him soon) but even playing survivor, I'm dead and I'm spectating see them whinding the killer up on top of the hatch despite the EG infront of them being open... and I'm sitting there like, he's gonna shut that on your face because you're hesitating then he'll sandbag and hook you. (Match I've just seen) why do that? Just get out those doors and move on... basically a way of morse code saying haha we won so imma just stand here and gloat.
Yeah Kate got decked and hooked for that and I don't blame the killer for doing it either.
-
This is why I mix and march and don't have a specific main side.
Equally both sides are stressful.
Like killer side you get salty end game chats (solution is to turn your chat off to leave them more cheesed off in frustration that they can't say nothing to you) although you can bate feel their frustration and its almost hilarious. Also, the whole flash torching in my eyes or the key carriers, don't mind the keys but it seems to be like every other match or map holders.
Survival side i get frustrated with the slugging, sandbagging or generally either face camping or stalking a survivor on a hook (really infuriates me so much) ... but hey! Welcome to dbd where matches are frustrating, leaves you with grey hair and everyone gets the play how they want despite it being bate "unfair sometimes" trash game playing both sides.
Either way, we're all in for a laugh and a bit of fun. Just a shame it's become like a competitive game where which ever side loses there's always something to moan about.
Hope you're marches haven't been too trash today, as much as mine has 4 in a row so far π (partly my fault for unhooking too quickly or missing skill checks) π€¦ββοΈ or the big one... falling off a main building balcony and landing straight infront of bubba, despite my spine chill going mental. π

I would not recommend calling people names on these forums, while I agree with your tone in response to this person, you might get banned because the mods are ban hungry here. So calling someone "J***" might be enough to get you jailed, because that's how great the rules are here.
Ah okay thanks man, I kinda feel like the word jerk though is alot more polite than any other possible words I've seen written on here and that have been edited due to profanity π
Plus the amount of times I've been called that on this forum I've probably had more hot dinners actually... π

You either misread what I'm saying, or are just blind.
I said (in other words) that there's a good chance that he was just securing the 2 hooks/kills. If he had 2 in basement but there's a chance that 1 will escape if he walks in then why would he? He shouldn't have to give up a down/kill.
I think your blindsided entitlement is what's ruining the game sir, maybe think and actually read what someones putting before posting absolute nonsense.
First of all I'm not a Sir I'm a female. And secondly don't quite like you're tone here if I'm honest. Maybe my opinion and attitude is different but you sound a bit of a jerk if I'm straight with you sir.

You can disagree with the objective facts if you want (that doesn't even make sense really), but the fact remains the facts are still the facts.
If you disagree then you are just objectively wrong as that makes no sense.
Okay if that's what you choose to feel bro that's what you choose to feel init. I'm not wrong for keeping to how I personally feel about situations.
Things are what they are. Noones wrong for not sharing the same views and attitude in this game..

However this clown was literally on top of the stairs, and if one went up the stairs he'd chase them down the stairs again. They literally felt like they had no option to just stand there or just DC.Correct they FELT that way because they don't understand that the situation was not bad for them at all. Just because they feel that way DOESN'T mean it is that way.
Holding 2 survivors downstairs stopping them for achieving their challenges or enjoying the game.Yes what bubba was doing is sorta annoying, however THEY stopped THEMSELVES from that because they decided to:
- Get themselves in the situation in the first place that this outcome was possible
- Not correctly play vs what bubba was doing
I mean put yourself into those survivors shoes and have a think about it. How would you feel being trapped in a basement for that long?I came up with a plan instantly of sacrificing myself so my teammate could leave so we can continue on with the game. I have been in MANY situations like this and when everyone is doing what they should be the killer always suffers in the end when all the gens pop and they still are doing whatever they are doing and only to realize that if they don't stop whatever they are doing the survivors will just escapes much too late.
Why waste time standing still, when you could just quit and move into another match within 5 minutes and actually achieve your challenges?Good question, they should of just counterplayer it or allowed you to do gens.
Trouble is the only person available alive outside the killer hutch was me. I mean by he time I've even got down to 1 gen , theyve DCd. Just felt bad for the other 2 literally not gaining anything because they were held hostage. If you were able to pop off 4 gens, then you did your part, the game was clearly winning, the issue was the survivors. They did it to themselves. IF you didn't do gens and are lying then you equally contributed to their and your death because you have no reason to not be doing them.
They held themselves hostage if anything.
Oh okay. I suppose not all players agree on one thing aye.

Yeah there's definitely a difference between a boring half-hour match and a competitive half-hour match. This was one of the best matches I've ever had, hands down. It felt like a balanced, back and forth contest, going right down into several minutes of overtime when we couldn't get the doors open with Michael running them.
When you search for a name on Xbox does it search for Xbox gamertags? Because I do probably still have an old, not very developed miketheratguy profile on the 360. Either way I'm miketheratguy pretty much everywhere, I think I'm the only one. :P Either way I'll look for your name as well.
Yeah it literally comes up with 1 miketheratguy on the xbox one lol so wasn't too sure.

@miketheratguy said:
I was against a Michael tonight. The match went 25 minutes exactly. That's because he was good, so were we, and there was CONSTANT running around, cat and mouse, doing gens, being chased away, losing gen progress, unhooking each other, healing downed teammates, etc.
In the end it was just me and one other person and we were desperately trying to get one of two generators done that were a pretty fair distance from each other. Michael was just way too fast, always on the move. Also very good at spying and sneaking. Ultimately I made the escape by the skin of my teeth via the open hatch.
I loved it, it was a great match.
Now that is a great match, that's the only time I expect a long ass match to happen. Oh and also I've tried to add you via my xbox and found a name exactly like yours but no idea if that's you or not ! π€£π

This seems to me actually like bubba was playing smart. If he went in then people could slip past after he got that first hit. He maybe didn't know if they had DH and could escape basement. He was trying to secure the kills in possibility. Its how I play basement aswell, if I see two people back off into basement unless I hear one healing the other I'll wait for them to step out to ensure I get them both. It sucks if he wasn't, but he may have been.
No he definitely wasn't. And if anyone or yourself thinks holding 2 survivors hostage in a basement is acceptable then you're half the problem why this game isn't fun to play sometimes. Sure play how you want, but don't be a prick about it
-
@DBDDVD said:
I actually see no point to running gen slowdown perks, you are going to lose either way if you actually need them and if you get a 4k usually only 0-2 gens get done anyway. Fast games are usually good because only toxic survivors will finish that fast if the game is slower without slowdown perks it will actually be a game where you aren't being bullied.
They were definitely bullied those 2 downstairs. No doubt about it. No point in reporting that either because it's not game rule breaking. And you can't stop a player being a melt.
-
@DemonDaddy said:
That's a bad play on them, but unless they are the only 2 left it's open season on gens while killer blocks the exit. Cowering in the basement is bad, at least if the were downed bleeding out would count as doing something.
Trouble is the only person available alive outside the killer hutch was me. π€£ I mean by he time I've even got down to 1 gen , theyve DCd. Hatch is locked and spawned in the basement so I'm like yep alright il just get this over with and use the EG.... of course I had died π but hey! Honestly, I wouldn't mind waiting in a queue for 5 minutes just to match me with people of my own skill instead of players with thousands of hours in the game (I have 27 hours). Just for context, I play killer and the queue time for me is always under 30 seconds.
I think I ranked up too fast and now I'm being punished for it - I'm rank 10 and in almost all my games there is a red rank survivor or two who I have to ignore - I'm more scared of these guys than they are of me XD. I guess it goes both ways and new survivors sometimes match with red rank killers? (this would be much worse imo since one red rank survivor only makes up 1/4 of the team)
All in all I'm enjoying the game I just wish the matchmaking was better - especially with the RE chapter coming. I think it'll draw a lot of people to the game and some of them might be put off when they come up against super survivors or killers while they're still learning.
I know if the matchmaking changes it'd make the queues too long for higher ranked players but it's real frustrating for newer players (or at least for me) when we get matched against them :S
Aww the player base in general sucks, I had a green rank, a purple and 2 red ranks one being a red rank killer as well π its one of the things that ruin the game if I'm honest.

Your game, your game play and tactics.
You choose what ever you want to enable yourself a decent match.
You're entitled to that and carrying keys, maps.. or what ever you choose isn't rule breaking. It's just insulting to killers feeling threatened before the games started that you could potentially win.
Seriously.... you do you. And choose what items you want. I generally don't carry keys although I do hold about 5 in my loadout... but I also run left behind, and that's a perk. And guess what? I still get moaned at for running that. But nonetheless it's MY CHOICE and I'm not rule breaking. I also get moaned at for using toolboxes, first aid boxes, maps or if I come across a crate and find a key once the hatch is locked. I mean... sure I won't unlock the hatch with it, il just carry it around like a div and use the exit gates and make the game harder for myself just so the killer doesn't throw his tantrum.
Why do we have these things if we're almost what seems to be FORBIDDEN or OUT OF ORDER to use? ... π€¦ββοΈ
Meh! Idc I'm using my props I've spent my points on whether hillbilly cries to his mumma or not.

I am saying that is what the devs see it. you see toxic, the devs do not. at no time does percieved toxic game play warrant another break of the rules as there was no infraction the first time. I am not specifically defending the practice but I am however saying it is not against the rules and the devs will do nothing against slugging. even in the first few mintes before a gen gets completed or if there is 1 left. doesn't matter.
