self care is an awful perk, there's a reason that medkits are the best items in the game
Self care is actually a pretty banger perk, it's just it gets used at the wrong times

If it's not "op" then why is every single survivor using it?
Because it's a good perk? Just because every survivor uses a perk doesn't mean it's overpowered, same with the same perks that almost every killer uses (BBQ is used by almost everyone and that's not overpowered)
-
Babes the hatch will never be taken out as it doesn't need to be taken out.

I really like going against Huntress, Deathslinger, Blight, Ghostface, Meyers, Trapper, Nurse, Demo, Oni, and Pyramid Head.
Going against Plague, Piggy, Wraith, Doctor, Hillbilly, and Twins can be fun sometimes.
Trickster is just meh to play against, although I won't lie I am not very good against him.
Freddy, Spirit, Bubba, Legion (aka mending simulator), and Hag can all choke however.
-
I sometimes refer to Pig as piggy or oinkers, and then I like to call Trickster "Flopster" and say to him in my head that his album tanked.
Then there are the usual swears I like to call them in my head.

Plunderers already shows you items laying on ground.
I realized that too late, how embarrassing for me
-
I have a few ideas:
Plunderers: Allows you to see the auras of not only chests but also items that are lying on the ground, and possibly have a way of telling how full the item is of charges (sort of like the Wraith's add-on that allows him to see gen repair progress)
Head On: Give it some sort of ability to see the range of the stun effect.

Um no. Because even if that were true, i dont break any games rules when i play and i dont insult or harass people during or after the game. In fact when insulted i try to open a dialogue and talk it out.
I am in no way wanting to insult people with his thread. I am choosing my words carefully. If you do take offense to anything I am saying, then maybe you need to look at yourself first
Honey I'm literally a gay man and you're trying way too hard to justify tunneling someone because of the pride charm/their cosmetics in general. I'm sure you're not some horribly homophobic bigot but lay this argument to rest.
You should never tunnel someone specifically for their charms, cosmetics, or the character they use. And yes you should be banned for it.

But you should be banned for doing so.

I agree with what you say mostly. But there is a huge difference in saying, "I hate you" and "i hate rainbows"
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2228158#Comment_2228158
That is what the charm means to you. But not everybody knows nor shares that belief. I mean for a large (majority?) of the world the US flag represents freedom and opportunity. However there are those who think it means hate and oppression. Just because something means something to you, and even a group of people, doesnt mean others share the same significance. As i said above, there is a huge difference between, "i hate rainbows" and "I hate you"
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2228159#Comment_2228159
Never said it was a good comparison lol
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2228164#Comment_2228164
Difference is i cant get banned for targetting all ace's. Even if i my screen name was 'I tunnel ace' and i actively said i tunneled you because you were ace. If i didnt repeatedly do it to the same person i would most likely not get banned. If my name was 'i tunnel rainbows' and targeted anyone with that charm i would most likely get banned
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2228146#Comment_2228146
How many people have to say somerhing is offensive before it becomes bannable? When people were arguing leatherfaces claudette mask was offensive most disagreed and no one got banned for using it. Unless the user was in post game chat actually using racial insults.
I argue the same rules should imply here. Even if a person just says i hate the charm, i dont feel that is bannable. Insulting the person and making hateful insults with the intent of causing emotional harm should be.
Just say you're most likely homophobic and go

There is no gameplay advantage in playing jane. No real gameplay reason that I tunnel them other than i dont like the character or any of her cosmetics. I will give hatch to every character but claudette. No im not racist i just dont like her. Should I be banned?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2228063#Comment_2228063
I completely and wholeheartedly agree
tunneling someone simply because of their character is a major d!ck move, same with tunneling someone because they wear a pride charm.

I believe that it's quite unattractive as the font reminds me of a font that a Youtube channel would use, and the dashes don't have the distinctive skulls and details that the old one had.
Hopefully they revert it back as this logo is just plain bland.
-
I first started with Meggle because I liked the idea of Sprint Burst a lot and I also liked her pink tracksuit.
Now she's one of my few survivors who have a variety perk build :) (most of my survivors have perks that work together to excel at one particular thing)

I'm honestly really excited for Funko pops!!

When you crouch under the hook right after being unhooked or right after finishing a generator, it means: "Can you heal me, please?"
When a Killer hit the air while carrying me, I understand they want me to stop wiggling because they want to bring me somewhere. I had a Bubba who wanted to hook me in the basement. He hit the air two or three times before I stopped wiggling, as I eventually understood what he was asking for. I was the last Survivor alive, so I saw no reason to not let him hooking where he wanted to. (He got the three others in the basement, so I thought he had a challenge to be done.)
But there is one I still don't know what it means, and I hope I don't use it the wrong way. I shake my arms when I'm hooked to let people know that no one is coming for me. As soon as I see someone coming my way, I stop. I've heard it means the Killer is camping, but each time someone did that in my lobby, the Killer wasn't camping at all, so I thought it was to say: "Come save me, please!"
(I mean, it was what you asked for? English is not my native language, sorry if I misunderstood a word from your message.)
That arm shaking thing is actually pretty interesting as I never knew people used it to convey any meaning. I usually do it because it's sometimes funny spamming the grunt sounds survivors make (especially Yun Jin).

Where's your data that this is the state of Spirit? Oh, there's no data other than your frustration? Rework Spirit when all the survivor second chance perks get nerfed.
Spirit needs a rework because for the most part there is barely any sort of counterplay against her. "Predicting" where she goes is barely a counterplay.

Console optimization
This should be first and foremost because it's honestly unacceptable some of the lag console players have to endure (like myself).

I've always thought that if there's more than 1 BPS then it should become a farming match for BOTH sides. Survivors and killers deserve their bloodpoints. Survivors should allow themselves to be hooked and let the killer chase/hit them (along with damage gens) and killers should let survivors farm for healing bloodpoints and others.
Overall I just think it should become a chill match for survivors and killers and that they should take advantage of the great farming opportunity with more than 1 BPS.
-
I think they did a good job with Claudette, Meg, and Jake but poor Dwight....he's hot (respectfully) but in the images they released of him, he gives very much mole rat energy.

I started to play DBD in late September or early October 2020 after learning about it on TikTok, and initially started out only as a baby Meg survivor for a good while. My first impressions were actual fear due to me not knowing about a lot of the mechanics, like I remember at first I didn't even know how to point or wave. I also didn't know about scratch marks, which probably helped a lot of killers find me. I also got to enjoy the old Autohaven, MacMillan, and Ormond...which part of me misses. It quickly became my favorite game and most played game.
And it remains so to this day!!
-
The gays really STAY winning purrr!!
-
I always try to be respectful to the other side and my teammates. For instance if I'm soloing with a SWF and they're being really toxic to the killer I'll gift him my item at the exit gate to hopefully make them feel better. And if I'm playing killer then I'll be respectful to the survivors and will make sure to give them all a fair shot, even if it'll disadvantage me at some points (for example, I'll always let who just got unhooked have a chance at freedom and I'll go after the unhooker instead).
I (for the most part) play how I would want to be played against.
-
I guess this could be considered a meme build but a decent escape the killer build I've done is:
- Boil Over
- Power Struggle
- Any Means Necessary
- Windows of Opportunity
I don't have Flip Flop yet but I imagine that would be pretty good also in place of Windows Of Opportunity

The only strong one there is Devour Hope, which requires you to hook people and run away from the hook as fast as possible. None of the other ones are "powerful effects". Not that i'm surprised survivor mains finds Hex Ruin such a powerful perk, after all, it ruins their gen repair simulator gameplay.
Are you delusional?

A chase indicator might be good. Also a little wheel that lets the player choose from a few pre-written messages, like "Come get me you bleeping bleeps, I'm tired of being on this hook!"
Adding onto this coms idea, they could use the useless right and left d-pad buttons to act as a way to scroll through different messages (which could be things such as "i'm being chased", "on a gen", "UNHOOK ME #########" and other things), and they could use the X or Y button (and Playstation equivalent) as a way to select the message!!

I don't take it seriously, but I find it helps me play better as the Killer.
I am hunting them. That makes them my prey. It makes sense. :P
That :p made me like you more but i guess if it helps
-
I'm sorry but you're taking this game way too seriously...calling the survivors "prey",
Also, just because camping, slugging, and tunneling are technically "allowed", doesn't make them any less of a major dick move. SOMETIMES I understand camping if it's during the EGC, or if you finally hook that toxic survivor that's been rude to you all game, but most of the time it's plain rude.

Why run both No Mither AND Unbreakable if No Mither is basically infinite Unbreakable? Not asking to be rude, I don't play David or use No Mither but from my understanding of the perk, it's basically infinite Unbreakable, no? Or am I missing something about the Unbreakable + No Mither combo?
DW you're not rude, it's just Unbreakable increases your healing speed during the dying state by 35% (Tier 3)
-
Are blue glyphs new?
-
As a survivor I have major respect for them as I run a No Mither build on Tapp (No Mither, Tenacity, Iron Will, Unbreakable) so I know the struggle.
As a killer I always make sure to give them as much of a chance as the rest of them, by not tunneling them out of the game and only slugging them if I catch them quickly after being unhooked.

Are you really winning the game if you spend your time camping one person while the rest escape...

i think it's balanced now, it stops what it's meant to while not being able to be abused by scumbags who are only out to bully people
Being able to use it for 2 hooks though would be nice
Was DS always only useable once per trial?
-
"Unlikely Ally"
Throughout the Trial, the Entity has taken a strange liking towards you. When on death hook, the next time you are hooked the Entity will revert your hook state back to the second hook state. This perk is deactivated if you are the last survivor. This perk can only be used once per trial. This perk will not prevent you from being sacrificed if you have been sacrificed after not being unhooked.
Greatly increases your chances of becoming the obsession.
"Wait...is this b!tch for real? Hell yeah!"

What head on builds do you suggest?

From my experiences the least problematic survivors I get are definitely Jeffs and....Megs.
However the worst I get are always Fengs. Always.

I would definitely say that that's toxic. I feel like there are always hooks nearby on Hawkins so they definitely could have hooked you and instead wasted your time.

I’m not talking to the people who consider themself a Killer Main because they play, primarily, the Killer side of the game... but to those who specifically played one Killer consistently. You ‘Main’ that one specific Killer, either to this day of not.
You can answer how you want but I’ll pose some questions to sort of dig out what I’m mostly looking to read.
- Who did you Main?
- Why did you Main them?
- Did they change drastically over your time with them?
- Did you “drop” that Killer almost immediately or after a long period of time?
- or Did you adapt to the changes and continue to Main them?
- Did you find a New Main? Who?
- If your Killer hasn’t had any drastic changes or your still fairly new to the game...do you think you would be the type to give up on your Main or continue using them no matter the changes?
I’ve noticed, in my time with BHVR, the way a Killer feels or plays can be changed so much that it can affect the player who plays them, in varying degrees. Just wanna read up a lil about Killers and their choices they made, over their time with DbD.
I think several Killer Mains had, at some point, have to reflect on the Killer they chose to Main (because of changes made to their Killer Power or Kit) and had to choose to stick it out or give it up. I’m looking for those insights.
- I main the Wraith
- I main him because when I first started playing he seemed like a rather easy killer to play as, so I gravitated towards that.
- Wraith thankfully got an amazing buff this year where his base speed while cloaked is greatly increased, which I believe was a good change
- I haven't dropped him, but I have started using him slightly less as I do like to main other killers for some time (Pig, Pyramid Head, Doctor), but I still consider him my main
- I adapted to the changes.
- I don't believe I would ever stop playing him unless he got some sort of drastic nerf.
-
The only killer I have issue with is Spirit. I don't think that she should be nuked because I do think there should be killers that are actually challenging to go against, but I would change her a little bit to make her less of a hassle to go against.
My biggest change to her would to make it more obvious when she is spirit walking. I've heard that she will twitch her arm a certain way and her "shards" will glow, but that's often difficult to notice and I have also heard that some skins cover up those shards. A tiny change I would suggest is giving her a slight blue glow around her body/husk so it's easier to distinguish when she is spirit walking.
And that's pretty much all I would do. I'm not sure if I agree with suggestions I've heard before of her being slightly visible while spirit walking, as I feel that that would nerf her perhaps too much.
-
I've noticed that whenever I have a specific build on a survivor that requires a perk that I have yet to get in their bloodweb, I will get every other perk than the one that I actually need to complete a perk build.
I've been trying to get Unbreakable for my No Mither build for over a WEEK!!
-
I would like it if Jane's perk (the name does not come to mind) where her scratch marks are hidden for 10 seconds after a generator is completed would also prevent her aura from being seen as well.
-
I had an idea where she would be able to replenish a certain amount of her reverse bear traps at one of her Jigsaw boxes.
-

Not to be insensetive, but if things like that trigger someone, then a game where people get impaled on hooks, caught in bear traps, have their liver ripped out and eaten while they're still alive and get forced to choke on someone else's vomit shouldn't be played by them.
I get you're not trying to be insensitive but a survivor of sexual assault may not be triggered by blood and guts gore, but having a killer that is a pedo or ######### is certainly a bit much.
