Here is my guide to save as many Bloodpoints as possible while also completing the archives.
Red Line = Collect
Yellow Circle = Save

when do you collect the ones you save? once the page is done? or after then entire tome?

The hook counter is trash. Because it doesn´t count hooks but hook stages. 4 man that died on the first hook counts as a perfect 12 hook match. Which is ridiculous.
It doesn't score you with a perfect 12 hook match if that happens ether so yeah you're right.

Now hear me out
What if instead of the entity being displeased they had a bunch of different sayings indicating its displeased that are kinda humorous
Such as
"The Entity will not be sending you a Christmas Card this year"
"The Entity swiped left"
"The Entity ghosted you"
that would be funny

Look, they already gave a hook counter, which is a glorified participation trophy.
We don't need any more "you did your best, champ" additions.
There's nothing to do with participation trophies, saying that makes you sound like an entitled ass like others have said I've played well and still gotten it.
How would survivors feel if at the end of the game the entity told them You escaped BUT you played like dicks? how many times would people see that before before they started complaining that the game was pointing out they're terrible play. I don't main one side or the other so I'd most likely see both.

I really wish dbe would hurry up with the character. Weve gotten so much hetero representation, why not the LGBTQ community too? Its been almost a year, and oh boy is BHVR taking their time.
I'm not trying to sound exclusive either but why is it so important that the game needs someone in the LGBT group?
As others have said no characters backstory focuses on if they're straight, gay or whatever. In the world of DBD none of that matters. The entity doesn't care. Killers don't care. If someone identifies within that group that's great but just because something isn't clearly defined it shouldn't matter.

The earlier ranks are very casual. Win or lose, you don't have to think very hard and everyone's either confused or vibing.
The higher ranks are saturated with players that take the game more competitively - sometimes in a constructive way, sometimes not. You're more likely to encounter players that get angry at you for playing the game (both your foes and your teammates) and lash out at you afterwards, you're more likely to encounter players that gloat and treat you like crap, and you're much more likely to meet players that BM you throughout the match. As a solo survivor, your ability to escape is going to go down the toilet, and as a killer, you're going to start running into bully squads on the regular. And matchmaking loves to pair you with opponents a tier or two above your rank, especially when the other side's queue is overloaded. So the red rank sweat squads are a problem even for green rank killers, who are woefully unequipped to handle them - but it's more of a warning of things to come than a constant issue.
People who play to unwind don't want every game to be against people who've worked the game down to a 400-level science, or people whose goal in the game is to make the other side ragequit. Matchmaking will move you upwards as long as you understand what your objectives are, and at purple/reds, every game is going to be a sweatfest, so they derank to move back into the zone where the games were on average chill and enjoyable rather than frustrating and humiliating.
Like, I'm stuck at rank 4 as a survivor, I'm horrible at looping, and I escape maybe one out of ten matches. The only reason I don't derank is because I can't do that as a survivor without punishing my teammates. The matchmaking will push you above where you belong if you play too many games in a short period of time. But it means I have way less fun playing survivor than I used to - and much less fun than when I play killer, because for killer I can control my rank and stay in an area with a comfortable challenge level (when it's not pairing me with full red SWFs, anyway, but I can take those every once in a while. Every other game and I'd quit DBD immediately.) I'm here to play for fun, not train for a tournament, and running ten rounds around a set of walls before giving up and walking away five times in one game isn't my idea of a good time.
Tl;dr, people are nastier at high ranks, high ranks are filled with experienced SWFs on comms, and getting completely outplayed is demoralizing. High ranks are less fun than middle/low ranks unless you play for the challenge.
That's a fair argument, but there are also a lot of people the de rank just so they can slaughter lower rank players. I've watched people stream who flat out say the want to smurf so they can get easier games. I understand the more competitive the higher you get that makes sense. However lowing your rank so that you get easier opponents is kind of dirty.
-
The fact that people are asking "Hey how can I depip and lower my rank in a fun way bothers me because you did all the work to get to where you are and didn't seem to have a problem then, now that you're ranked higher the game isn't fun anymore?
Why is that exactly?
-
they disabled communities on PS4 about a month ago. I don't think PS5 has them I haven't really looked to be honest.

yeah but if and it's a big if they ever get MMR working right this will be less of an issue but I'm not holding my breath

That was the first big nerf they made to him. it takes a second to switch from placing the the rights of judgment to hitting someone with a basic. when he first came out you could do it instantly. why would they need to nerf it again.

Most games average 10 minutes, so that sounds about right. As for the bullying, if you take the bait, then it's your fault for staying and engaging with said bullies.
My personal solution to getting bullied and gen rushed. I just go stand in a corner and face a wall. No more Chase points no more blinding points or stuns, just finish the game you want over so quickly and get get out.
saves me from getting angry and rage quitting. and they get done what they really wanted to do.

Straight to the article and yes its about face camping, and don't you tell me that face camping has multiple counter plays and I am just "bad", Ill tell you what, I probably have more hours then any of you. Once killers get 1 kill then a 3 v 1 is already hard enough.
Some of you are gonna say "then gen rush". Scenario: a face camped survivor can buy times of 3 generator. Then its 3 survivors vs 1 killer, and then the killer choose the weakest survivor to chase and down him immediately, proceeds to face camp, then you and your teammates are doing gens. The killer knows no one is coming then comes to you and when your teammate knows he will be going for the save. Now the killer goes back to the hook and get a double down. You are the last survivor and your injured, gg.
"Its simple, make camping bannable", said by a pig main.
That is a pretty bad argument. Killers aren't the only toxic players, dare I say there are far more toxic survivors then killers. The one thing I don't like about arguments like this is that no matter what side makes the argument it always sounds like "Other side bad" "But everything I do on this side is okay" even if the other side doesn't like it either.

I really think that hook grabs are more unfun and face camper promoting than they’re worth.
If a Survivor is being camped, there should always at least be the option to hook trade. You could still hit someone while unhooking or cancel an unhook if you’re quick and they’re injured.
It wouldn’t be a game breaking change against good Killer players and it would help a lot to make the most unfun Killer “playstyles” more bearable.
The hook grabs are fine. They don't work half the time as it is.

It would be great to have him on as either but unfortunately it takes a High IQ to really appreciate Rick & Morty and I'm not sure there's enough people with High Enough IQs here to truly appreciate it.
Though to be fair, there's a very limited amount of people with IQs high enough to understand R&M as it is, that's not a DBD fanbase exclusive thing.
yeah. I just thought it would be funny if even say he dropped out of a portal at random and then just portal right back out. wasn't even involved in the game just showed up

Fair, I now reserve the right to say exactly this on every single add FNAF topic that appears here.

Question for anyone who attempts wiggling with a controller: Do you literally juggle the stick back and forth or do you swirl it in a circle under your palm? I've tried both methods and escape maybe once out of every twenty times. I don't know if that's really bad, really good or what, but I worry that if it's THAT unlikely to get free then I might as well not bother and extend the life of my controller.
I move the stick in a circle I feel it's less likely to break that way with the amount of wiggling you have to do as a survivor I worry about breaking them.

The only thing that's boring me is seeing entity displeased at the end of every game.
I go up against people who are better then me and I do my best and still get it. even with 3 kills sometimes. is there something up?

@OhMissSully said:
My favorite are the ones that are near impossible due to bugs and/or highly common playstyles. For example: Tome V, Level 4 "Stun the Killer 4 times in a single match." Right now, with the pallet bug and the way many killers respect pallets, you'd be lucky to get even two stuns off in a single match, let alone 4.
Oh, and that awful Any Means Necessary one from this last tome. You almost need the killer's cooperation for that one.
I remember doing that one... Oh god was it annoying. I finally did it but I had to play really badly and scummy to get it done.
I'm talking DS, a pallet stun and 2 head on hits to get it done.
so much so that after the game I was asked why I was so bad. When I told them it was for a challenge and that I was sorry about it; they asked me "Why throw a game just for a challenge?" Hears the answer, because they force you to do some of them in a single match so sometimes you have to.
Some of the challenge encourage toxic play and I'm never a fan of those.

So you think I wrote it out of anger and not curiosity? How did you come to this conclusion? :o
Sadly anything someone writes about after playing killer; not matter the intention is treated like they're upset by survivors.
I play both sides and any time I've even questioned survivor actions during a game I get the same response.
"don't be a baby"
"it's a tactic to win"
"they did they're job if you're writing about it on here."
ect.
These are not the exact words but the sum of them.
I try to respect killers when playing as survivor. I don't teabag them ever. the most I've done is slowly crouch twice to thank them for a good game. that's it.
When I play killer I don't run NOED. Because I know how annoying it is as a survivor to to be hit with it. There are some days I've been really temped to do it after a bunch of bad games but I haven't yet. This might change I haven't made up my mind on it
either way the teabagging is people being dicks no question about it, but the devs care so little about it they've kept stats on how many times survivors do it per game on average. so there's your answer.
-
A way I deal with survivor toxicity, If I know I'm being screwed with I just go over to a corner and face the wall. No more chase or blinding points just finish the game and get out.
It doesn't happen too often but it saves me form DCing and and I don't get upset that way.
-
thanks

I'm all for the graphical update. The TC doesn't seem to understand that the game is 5 years old, a game of this style is usually moved on from in maybe 3 years max. you should be lucky it's still around at all.
Also I will repeat the question the person above me asked.

Why to people come up with nicknames for killers. it just doesn't make sense.

But he lives on the Moon of Endor
THAT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!

Everyother exhaustion perk is used for distance, why shouldn't deadhard be the same, it dosent work most of the time anyways
you answered your own question. Because every other exhaustion perk is used for distance. That's fine but if you want to used it for distance it shouldn't absorb hits and let you run over any set traps without setting them off.
it would still do what everyone uses it for just without the speed burst.
-
All of these are great points.
I agree with them all.
Dead Hard should be used to avoid a hit. not to go over a bear trap. or gain distance in a chase. it's to dodge a hit.
sometimes I can bait it out while playing killer sometimes I can't and sometimes It gives too many second chances.
-
None of them.
if I had to pick one I'd say spirit she was murdered by her father and thrown out the window.
-
Honestly I'm expecting nothing.
What I would Like is
Nemesis for the RE killer
an event where you earn special cosmetics not just the ability to buy them with cells
A better game overall

I wake up, I decide to play a match with the Twins which I just bought. I forgot I started the match so I was afk for 2 minutes and when I come back 4 gens popped. I try to do something only to get teabagged and mocked and in the game chat I get told by the survivors that I suck, that I shouldn't be in rank 2 (I was rank 1 but because of that match deranked) and I should kill myself.
Every match is like this.
If I lose, survivors start to throw insults for no reason at all and say gg ez. If I win, they will insult anyway and accuse of camping or tunneling or whatever.
Not a single match doesn't have tbaggers or people who click their flashlight. I didn't pay money in a game to get "bullied". I want to have fun. It's impossible to have fun like this. And don't say "ignore them", imagine buying an online game to play with other people and you have to ignore the people you play with, no. And reporting them does nothing.
I have never seen a single killer telling survivors who lost that they are bad and they should kill themselves, and I have plenty of matches in which I kill all 4 with 0 gens done by them, yet I don't proceed to mock them for it or tell them to kill themselves because they couldn't do a single gen.
I'm honestly tired of toxicity on both sides. I see it all .

what I find so weak about this argument is that if they wanted to, they could just limit the gore in countries that have these problems.
Like just keep it as is for those but for my country for example they could have the head be taken off, so many games have done this in the past.
Germany always had green blood in their games for this reason, yes it can be that simple....
Ultimately they just dont want to put in the work/effort but they wont say that because that might make them look bad/lazy.
I agree 100%. I'm not talking Mortal Kombat levels of gore that's it's own monster. But more realistic gore would be fair I think
-
It would be cool to see a raccoon city map, or maybe the RPD. I'd prefer an outdoor map personally.
-
@BioX said:
Well the lack of.gore.does not help,
I'm sure demo should bite someone's head off but instead he just...bites it and the survivor dies??
Hag Oni Doc Deathslinger Legion most deadly
Trapper Wraith Twins Demo least deadly
I've actually made a topic on the lack of gore in this game. One of the devs said they choose how much they show very carefully because they're afraid of getting banned in certain markets/counties.
I wish the game had a bit more realistic gore myself, just make exclusive edits for other regions where it would be a problem.
-
Most Lethal I'd have to say demo, He eats your damn head.
Least Lethal I would say plague. her throwing up on you wouldn't kill you.
If you want to for lamest I'd say Trapper and wraith. they have the same one just with different weapons.

when I play killer I just play for fun. If I get a 4K I get one, if I don't it doesn't matter but I run into so many survivor teams that play like jerks just to be jerks. and annoy the heck out of me.

@RenTheCat said:
For some reason the devs think it's a valid game mechanic to have survivors cancel animations so the killer can't grab. If you're unhooking, you shouldn't be able to stop doing so. Same as how the killer can't stop breaking a pallet or stop hooking. But doing some infinite clicky clicky on the hooked survivor so the killer just hits instead of grabbing is fine in their heads.
I guess it's the same attitude as; survivors can unhook from any side of the hook so killers can't stop them from unhooking but survivors being in front of the hook to prevent the hook prompt from coming up since a killer can only hook from the front is fine.
