I looped a clown for 4 generators (Idk how...killer bad?) because I wanted to survive that round(had key) but what pushed me to loop him so very long was his tunneling. I would literally loop him around a gen my teammates were working on, intentionally, and he would run past them ignoring them. He ended up downing me because a teamate blocked a window and that same teamate farmed me twice on the hook (don’t blame them clown camped me hard) leading me to my death. After asking him why he tunneled me, he gave me multiple death threats and threw a couple racial slurs towards me even though I accepted defeat and told him the plain old gg. I played solo, had no flashlight, and never tebagged... I don't know why he tunneled.
    Coldwind-Rancid rank 6

Is it my fault that the game was not fun for anyone? Or is the person not having a good day?

"The only reason I looped was because he tunelled me", you know you can also try to lose him right ?

  • Make it so if the killer is close as you die (Close means inferior to 70 meters, according to survs), you get teleport at the exit gates as well. And instead of a bonus action speed, just make it so gens do pop up instantly as you get hooked, and everyone gets the points.

    That sounds balanced.

    Exactly. You get it @Runiver

The days of survivors doing whatever they wanted and playing like morons are over I think.

There's been a shift in the last 3 months slowly to killers being empowered. I wonder what did the trick?

The buyout of Starbreeze you think?

    They're far from over.
These perks were just the cherries on top of the unbalanced mess, and knowing these devs, they will very likely make the nerfs to be irrelevant and half-assed, which will leave most of these perks to be at least still a top tier choice perks.

Perks should be picked according to playstyle, not to ######### overpower the enemy team.
At the moment, killers do pick Ruin to have a more than 5minutes rounds, and BBQ to get their time worth considering how painful it can be to play killer, and survivors are just picking the strongest perks rather than trying to get a build according to a playstyle.
It's just wrong, it has been wrong for ages, but devs are scared to shock people by making them to switch up the builds so they'd have to think about what they take and get some synergies about their playstyle... Instead they can take up the "power perks" and stop thinking, while eventually "Picking non-meta perks for fun", and they even consider doing killers a "favor" doing so, which is dumb as rock (How many survivors do see typing "I don't even pick DS, you should be happy", now if it isn't blatant admitting something is wrong..).

Don't worry, it was only meant as a joke, I fully understood what you meant.
I'm not sure we'll see more NC tho since people will be healing themselves in safer spots, which will make NC less potent for surprise attacks tho.
We'll see if that SC nerfs even come live anyway lol

Bloodlust is the only way to stop many vaulting spot abuses.
It needs to stay as long as the map design is at it is, as it is a decent bandaid fix to infinites.

Now you have Bamboozle and the clown. Then there's outplaying someone.

I mean, I've already stated that some tiles are insane, but, don't go on those tiles to chase someone. Wait until you have baited them away or until they are last survivor and THEN bloodlust them if you have to.

Bloodlust rewards bad killers. It needs to go with the exceptions I have mentioned (Hag and Myers EW1).

One more "Equip a perk to counter a survivor feature"
I'll think about that when I'll be able to fit Enduring to counter DS, Lightborn to counter Flashlights, Ruin to counter gen rushing, Agitation to counter bodyblocking, along with all other perks that are meant to make my killer UNIQUE and make it the way I want to play it, rather than a pure reactive build I'm forced to take to soft-counter broken survivor base features.

They don’t play her to “get rid” of most of the mechanics. They play her to get rid of only Looping. A Survivor can still fake a window vault or Pallet Drop.

The only reason she’s “easy mode” after mastering her, is because Survivors have become so wholly dependent on Looping to waste time, in order to save thier asses, they hit the floor like a sack of potatoes when they can’t do it. It’s lack of adaptation on the Survivors part. Once they lose the Looping card, they are helpless because none of them learned to Stealth and Juke properly. That’s not the Nurses fault. The Survivors rely too much on thier crutch mechanic of Looping. If they don’t have it, it all falls apart for them.

Its not the Nurse that’s the problem, it’s the Survivors who refuse to learn anything but Looping Killers. She’s only “easy mode” once mastered because Survivors are too reliant on thier one “EZ Win” stall tactic. The whole Killer tier list is dependent on how well a Killer deals with Looping. You can even see it in 2.0 how lost Survivors are without just the vacuum. It started with infinite’s, moved to Looping. They are completely stuck in thier “meta” and when it fails, they just cry about it.

Stop blaming the Nurse for the Survivors incompetence.

The argument "It's not nurse, it's other players", is the exact same argument survivors use. "Killers need to adapt and get better". Pure relativism and a blatant non-argument.
A god nurse is about impossible to lose/juke properly except some rare setup where she actually has to use mindgames to find you, which is very oftenly not the case since 80% of the map are very opened or/and offer very few variation choices, and most of these variations can be corrected via her multiple blinks.

It has been more than 2 years now. People adapted for a while to Nurse, and she's still god tier. It's just nurse, nothing else.

  • My opinion is that it didn't happen yet, and I'll trust it when I'll see it.

  • Bloodlust is the only way to stop many vaulting spot abuses.
It needs to stay as long as the map design is at it is, as it is a decent bandaid fix to infinites.

  • It's a bug. Can confirm it's in the devs buglist atm.

  • Between 4 to 7 depending on my mood.

  • The game is unbalanced in favor of survivors. It's nothing new.

  • Being able to reveal the killer is a mistake in the first place.
It kills the scare factor that is already nearly non-existent and nearly only provided by the fact that survivors aren't fully aware of where the killer is.
Whatever tho, it will be one more mistake on top of a pile of #########.

  • @SovererignKing said:
That’s a slap in the face to Nurse players. You think the Blinks just do it themselves after your muscle memory kicks in? Hell no. You have to learn every single Survivors movement patterns on the fly, every single match.

“Does this guy like to run back toward me?”
”Does this guys fake window hops and Pallet drops?”
”Does this guy use trees and walls to block my LoS so I have to blink Blind?”
”Does this guy have Dead Hard?”

Each Survivor has thier own play style, which you have to adjust your Blinks for.

Your statement about Nurse being that easy is insulting, to say the least. She requires perfection, precision, and prediction at all times. If you don’t have that, you’re the worse Killer in the game when you can’t land your Blinks.

That's simply not true, for several factors :
What you mostly do, as Nurse, is teleport in a "middle" of the survivor's possibilities, then just adjust with your 2nd/3rd blinks for the hit.
Having multiple blinks is basically like playing Poker with Multiple hands, while the enemy has only 1.
She doesn't require perfection, precision is also debatable with multiple blinks. She requires prediction to some extent, if you lose vision a lot, which is not the case in most maps.

I've played very few Nurse rounds, what I know is that I got from rank 14 to rank 1 with her within' my first 2 days of playing her. It's not as hard as people try to make you think and even if you fail a bit, she's still more efficient in a chase than most killers, timewise.

So yes, it's a huge slap in the face to Nurse players, but as most Nurse players I know say : she's easy mode once you mastered her, and people that plays her either left the game, or switched killer at some point until they got looped enough to say "######### it, I'll pick Nurse and get my 4k because I'm bored of looping now".

Then they pick Nurse, get their 4k, and leave the game satisfied rather than frustrated. I play there since day 1, and in the end, every nurse player I aknowledge just accept that simple fact. They play her to get rid of most mecanics of the game, because they dislike the game itself, and Nurse allows you to mostly ignore them.
Aka : Travel time, Basement travel time, walls, pallets, most vaults, and such, while mostly only a few perks and playstyle (aka stealth) remain an annoyance for her.

  • They actually started working on a new report system a few months ago.
Not sure where it's at but I suppose it's the same answer as everything else when "when" is included in the question :
    SOON ######### TM.

I did let so many people to die on hook because they were moving their arms on hook while the killer is at the opposite of the map, nowadays.

  • The only thing you can do is report them at the endgame chat.
ANd possibly rank up not to get matched with entitled #########.

  • I don't play Nurse, and I play since day 1.
Some rounds are painful, but most of the time, with some experience, map knowledge and a bit of skill and strategy, you can manage.

Tho, if you want easy mode, just pick up Nurse, the only killer that can play similarly to survivors and be rewarded for it : once you learnt the muscle memory and the basics, you just have to run around and hit people. Basically the survivor of killers.

  • We talk to devs pretty regularly on discord, and when we have something relevant to say, they're around.
At the moment, everyone is pretty much out of questions, so meh.
Unless it's for asking something that has been asked hundreds of times already.

  • Now that's taunting.
    You're a true Dbd memers @Peanits

  • Do you consider a killer standing 50 meters+ away from the hook as camping ?
Because it seems like the definition of "camping" by a lot of players.
In that case, ye, you possibly got "camped" for the last 50 matches.

Tbh when I play, I nearly never get camped/tunneled.
I only remember 1 match over my 40 last matches where I couldn't get unhooked, and the guy had a mori and only killed me in the match lol.

  • @deathdoer1 said:
Lol, baby survivors were awful. But no you weren't camping. If idiots run around a hooked survivor...why would the killer leave the hook? I main survivor and if you wanna be toxic, be smart about it..

LoL... the fact that the majority of those flashlight blinds didn't work, ontop of that he could pretty much sit at the hook all game.

You don't get a 4k from being bullied.

As a matter of fact, you very oftenly get 4k from getting bullied, because they simply refuse to do objectives and are only around to make the killer to feel miserable. It's actually pretty obvious to most killer players.

  • Not sure why they called it a sprint burst nerf.
    It's an exhaustion nerf.
It is hardly related to SB itself.

Sprint burst needs to get adressed for sure, the exhaustion tho ? Debatable. If devs consider it too strong, maybe ? But as a matter of fact, it will not adress sprint burst even if they apply it. It will just make people to want to run Sprint Burst more, because it would make other perks to be even less reliable/weaker, and they'll prefer the stronger version.

Not sure why camping shouldn't be "normal" as well.

I dont enjoy camping, i prefer to hang someone and to keep searching into the woods.. i feel camping is boring and cheap, but i had nothing else to do in this game i wasnt going to search survivors into the cornfield when i had two in front of me, spamming flashlights and decisive strike (not spameable tho hahaha)

Camping is boring but necessary, and very oftenly due to survivor's play that just refuses to hide, stay in plain sight, expecting you to follow like an AI even tho they're clearly not repairing. The clicking flashlighters are my favorite, it's kinda like a nice bat signal to say "Hey, stay by the hook please, my other friend is also there, waiting to save as I try to bait you away"

  • Not sure why you even consider what they try to tell you.
As long as you don't do anything bannable, you're free to play how you want to play. This is exactly what they do : they bully you and try to make it considered "normal". Not sure why camping shouldn't be "normal" as well.

  • @Nickenzie
I could put some more on paper, but I feel like this one can already get improved somehow already, and eventually getting a survivor paired with him could be a possibily.

At the moment, maybe this killer lacks add-ons, along with a secondary power feature to make his regular M2 more interesting
We did a lot of concepts about add-ons, like making one of them to injure the receiver if he's in a healthy state, and to have a slowdown effect if he's already injured, which would allow other survivors to actually outrun the cursed survivor if spotted, to "let him die". So it would basically be a survivor chasing another survivor.

    Could be fun.

Not sure where I said which perk was the best. I just stated they were both different, for different purpose. You're the one that stated one is superior to the other, which I consider to be a viable opinion.

I've never told you to get ######### either. I'm just arguing, as any opinion should. I'm giving arguments to defend my choice, while you just said "X is better, so your idea is bad".

  • @Nickenzie
Hello, thanks a lot of the feedback.
I agree about what you said about high tier killers. I don't consider my killer to be very top tier indeed, and he's mostly designed to make your fellow survivors you true enemies.

There's also one simple factor : the game, when 3v1, is actually somewhat more balanced in the current state, and that's what this killer can accomplish rather quickly by finding a single survivor, which is not hard to accomplish.

About the chases : The fog, along with the fake stains, could throw a survivor off, especially in long chases, the fog could be way more invasive, since you keep staring at the killer in extended chases, and if you actually don't stop staring at him, it leaves room for a lot of mindgames for the killer, and could give you hard time finding "the next pallet". Not to mention the fake blocking could be mistaken with ACTUAL blockings using bamboozle, or his second perk, which would actually make him tricky to play against since it could make vault rather unreliable and a pretty good mindgame. Overall tho, I agree : pallets will remain very strong against him, and will very likely carry most survivors like against any other M1 killer. He still has a few neat tricks.

About the "waste the time" factor : the main thing would be for survivors to be actually scared of each others, and just run away everytime they see someone else, which is a huge time consumer as well. Adding this on top of a 3 player match when it comes to gen repairs could add-up nicely.

About the "Fake survivor" : It totally depends on the AI indeed. I actually meant mostly survivors looking like they're walking TOWARD you and such, to make it stressful and to never know when an actual player is gonna come around you.
You could also imagine some rare add-ons, that would make the cursed survivor to have a terror radius, and to look like the killer himself.

The white eyes part is pretty simple : just imagine the killer is hooking someone, and you're staring at him from afar. If the killer looks in your direction, he would have a notifications looking like white eyes, aka "a survivor was looking at you there", basically yet another way to force the survivors to never stare at the killer unless they want to be revealed. Basically some added paranoia factor to force you to look around for your fellow survivors rather than to the killer himself

  • @TheDarkLycan said:
If your taking notes the why argue when I'm saying that your perk idea is flawed?

Because... I am allowed to disagree with you and to try to explain you why I disagree ?...
It's not very complicated, we just argue, you give me reasons why you think the perk is flawed, and I consider them. Just stating "The perk is flawed because Bamboozle is better because it blocks longer" isn't gonna convince me, especially since I consider that when a SURVIVOR blocks a window by himself, without having to vault over it yourself is actually possibly stronger in several situations ?

I don't get your point, you're like "Don't argue, I think this, respect it and change your idea", that's not how it works for me that is.

While the curse abiity sounds interesting the rest isn't in my opinion. He is like a Freddy where you only hold down M2 and that's it. And hallucinations won't affect any good survvior either. But good concept.

This is my consensus too. The first half of the power is kinda lame, but the second half is really cool. I'd love to see a killer like this implemented someday.

    Thanks for the feedback.
The first half of the power is indeed, kinda lacking. The whole point would be to actually not make this killer a strong chaser over the fact he can basically keep a single player busy the whole game, pretty much.

I still like the concept of "Do not watch the killer directly" which can definitely be interesting.
Not to mention some add-ons could add effects on top of that. But I didn't do the full set of add-ons. I was considering doing it, but then, I kinda dropped, since I doubt they're gonna implement such a killer, as they're definitely trying make this game a "coop team game" nowadays, seemingly, rather than push the individualities and solo play.

I'm not sure about Bamboozled being better, since this perk does not force you to use the vault, and has a surprise factor, and also hinder teammates.

Bamboozled does have a longer block duration and also increases vault speend though

The 2 vaults block is actually longer since it's the regular duration of a block, which is around 20ish second or so. Only the teammate vault blockage is shorter, indeed.
