I mean, it's a good way to lower your MMR.

Breaking line of sight does nothing, she can still hit you with the crows through walls.
Only if you play predictably. If you keep running in the same direction as you were when you broke LoS, then of course she can hit you.
-
Even if you could come up with an idea on how to nuke the meta, just how long do you think it would take for any significant changes to be made? BHVR isn't exactly known for their promptness.
Though I'm for it. At the very least, it would let me see new perk combos instead of the same cookie cutter builds all the time.
-
Just dodge? Her birbs are narrow. Throw the pallet a loop earlier than usual, and just Shift W to the next loop, like Doc. Break line of sight, like Nurse. Run into her birbs when she places them.
Artist has enough counterplay.

Boon: Roadhouse.
While active, this boon allows you to kick all your problems away.
Killer camping? Roadhouse.
Survivors farming you? Roadhouse.
Not hitting your skill checks? Roadhouse.
Game bugs got you down? Roadhouse.

Granted but now Freddy has none.
I wish we had more licensed maps.
Wish granted! Five more licensed maps have been added, however they'll be killswitched due to an infinite amount of exploits.
I wish we had an Alien chapter, with a Xenomorph as the killer.

um they literally just announced that Dead hard is being looked into.
NOW it is. Ruin was nerfed, what, two years ago? That's two years of pretending DH's issues don't exist. Now that they've announced it, just how long do you think it'll take for them to actually DO anything about it? Six months? Another year? For reference, look how long it took them to address keys after the mori change.
-
Tell that to the devs who introduce an MMR system as they have.
-
They listed Ruin's usage as a factor in nerfing it, yet won't apply the same to DH. Boons are just another example of this one sided thinking.
-
I enjoy the Scourge mechanic. Spices things up.
Boons, on the other hand, are a patch job that need a solid counter. I just don't understand the devs thinking that 'undying needs to be nerfed as its too difficult for survivors to find five totems,' yet on the other hand 'lets give survivors infinite boons that the killer can only stomp, not break.'
-
GG usually comes off as sarcastic from the winning side, especially when it was a stomp like this. Following it up with anything else just feels like rubbing salt in the wound. Add on to the fact that any one of those other team mates could have been toxic during the match, and you're just opening up a can of worms there.
-
Because it's not a survivor issue, thus, not as important.
-
To me, it'll forever be survivor sided so long as SWF remains as it is.
Without that, I'd say it's closer to being balanced, so long as you ignore the highest MMR.
-
I only consider it if they all have the same skin. Then I know something is fishy.

I look at it from my survivor perspective; it's a poor perk choice and easily countered. Don't think I've seen a killer get more than 2 tacks before putting an end to it.
Like any hex, the impact is more about the skill and mindset of the survivors.
30% reduction in gens and healing is big.
-
Monstrous Shrine, off the top of my head. I know there are others, but I can't remember them.
-
D, of course. She's scrumptious.
-
I never play the PTBs, as they're a waste of time. I'll just watch streamers gameplay.
-
Had a few in a row a couple weeks back, and only a few were blatantly hacking. The most recent was a few days ago, using a speed hack. I think they thought they were being subtle, but it was pretty obvious. Even the other survivors caught on, though it didn't stop two from using it to teabag at the exits.

I swear it's been so long since I've seen a Hag
Same. I don't play her myself, can't get into the 'don't chase' mentality.
To OP, though, you have to live with it. Wouldn't be much of a 'trap' if the survivor didn't act out in surprise. In this case, the camera swing. With practice, you'll get used to it. Granted, you need to actually play against Hag to get that practice. . .

Dead hard to a vault.
Activating a trap swings the camera toward the trap. It's a feature of her kit. The closer you are to the activated trap, the harder the swing. You can anticipate it if you know what you're doing, but if you don't, or don't have a lot of practice, it's jarring.
-
They didn't kill switch it with Boil Over exploit, they won't kill switch it with their ill thought out band aid patch.
-
Clown. Freddy is just the epitome of cookie cutter.
-
I only recognize Psycho, Predator, and Leprechaun
-
I had an idea awhile back about mist. The match would start with heavy mist, then gradually lighten as more gens popped.
But yeah, I only ever see mist offerings from SWF who want to play immersive. Get rid of em like map offerings.

Im glad they disabled her for a while. Playing against a killer that can teleport through walls and hit you no matter what you do isnt fun. This is our chance to go against killers that have more interactive mechanics.
Blame the devs for only having a few viable killers in high mmr.
-
I only use Pentimento, because it's forgiving. All other hexes, minus NOED, or pointless due to spawning.
-
Pain Resonance, Plaything, Pentimento, Deadmans Switch. Love this build, as it gives me versatility.

the fact that you can't play nurse doesn't make her that hard to use. even a mediocre nurse can make short work of the very best survivors
Hyperbole? Otherwise, that's utterly false. Or the survivors overstated their skill.

It's my least favourite map in the game. I prefer RPD.
You take that back. We may dislike Eyrie, but no need to stoop to blasphemy!
-
What if I'm being forced to camp by the survivors. For instance, I have the hook, and there are overly altruistic survivors trying for the save? Or if somebody is trying to be immersive with their saves? I know they're there, it just takes some hunting to root them out. Or sabo squads. Or the random survivor who would rather lead a chase around a hook than elsewhere. Lot of little variables.
-
Worse. I got variety in the old system. Not too much at the end of the month, when everybody was red rank, but some. Now, it's just the same cookie cutter builds, the same cookie cutter strategies. Which just makes me wonder why the devs claim the game is casual, then push this.
-
Mine's just holding M1 and W. Boring few games for my killer side.
-
The same, but with BREAKABLE WALLS! And pretty. The art team nails design, it's the balance team that has a rough time doing things correctly.
-
I'm sorry, but. . . 16 games is a 'small' session?

Of course not, I just recognized him, and went to say gg
But did THEY know that? From their perspective, you could have been stream sniping, especially if they lost.
-
Ban you from his chat? Were you stream sniping?
-
Buffed pre nerf Boil Over.
-
PR works with DMS, yes. Ruin does not directly, since blocked gens do not regress.
-
Does it matter? If you escape, your mmr goes up. Pips don't affect that anymore.
-
Because that's another chapter that gets in the way of me and my Xenomorph. . .
-
A few times here and there. It hasn't mattered much. Just shows that if you can't bully with it, it's not used.
-
Something you're overlooking. Survivors are just reskins of each other. So technically, it's just one survivor vs twenty six killers. Any nerf to a survivor perk affects them all. With killers, you have to take into account twenty six different power sets, and their add ons. So, an 'overall' look at nerfs on the killers part might seem 'small' in comparison.
-
@GillyBeannn Not just RPD. Eyrie, Thompson House, Disturbed Ward, and Ironworks (potentially, depending on RNG).
The thing is, it's not just Boil Over. It's the rise of the wiggle builds, that move into saboing. I've seen an increase in sabo squads, and even Breakdown has made a resurgence. It's led me to just bleed people out now. Been called a try hard and 'toxic,' but what can I do when half the hooks are gone and they keep running to dead zones.

@gendoss said:
Yeah the community is really overreacting about this one.
A. It tells you they have it when you pick them up
B. Just walk down the stairs, it's really not a big deal
C. I know there's an infinite but they could put a hook up there, it's not the fault of the perk
It's not a bad perk don't get me wrong but if you want any value out of it you have to make entire builds or play styles around making it work and that's taking up so many of survivors resources just for a chance to wiggle off. Not worth it at all.
In my eyes, it's old OoO again. Meme material for solos, but toxic on a SWF.

In fact, there are more survivors than killers, if the game had more killers, the queues for killers would be longer, since killer positions in lobby would fill up fast and be very required, and the opposite happens. Killers have an easier time finding matches as few people play killer, and the killer position in many lobbies is empty. And this is how the game should be, 4 survivors for 1 killer
A good example of this is Predator: Hunting Grounds. The minimum wait time for Predator is four minutes, at peak hours. It's not unusual for that to be doubled, easily. I recall the longest I had to wait was twenty three minutes, only for the match to be a stomp in my favor. Fireteam queue is under two minutes. It's just that everybody wants to be Predator, and it shows in the times.

Ya, but why? Does it have to be? Feels wrong to me.
It's human nature to seek out conflict, in any form. Part of what makes us great, is that we're always looking for the next challenge. Unfortunately, a lot of that is directed at each other.
-
@WishIcouldmain Pretty much. You'd think the devs would have learned their lesson, but once again, they prove they won't think ahead with some of their decisions. Instead, it's 'we're monitoring things,' which means 3 to 6 months, minimum, before changes.
