I mean, it's just like these devs to take the easiest approach. Keys, moris, SBMM, chat filter, god loops, etc. Whichever takes the least amount of effort, or the most unimaginative, they'll do. So long as they continue to think they are in the right (remember, Patrick said Boons were working as intended, without ever clarifying what that meant), then any real changes won't happen for years, if ever.
-
Why? CoH gives three other survivors a fifth perk, gives the killer an extra objective, and can work in tandem with other Boon perks. Anybody who thinks Self Care is a better alternative is trolling.

Dude, CoH is not a problem, but people in game!!! Yezzz. Many times I have playing against tunnelers and campers and were no CoH at all. So perk is not guilty but huge amount off new come noobs aka new players here. People are the main reason why this game going to hell
The devs are why the game is going to pot. Players can only do what the devs allow. Camping/tunneling are good strategies in the lower ranks, because they work. As soon as survivors gain some map and loop knowledge, both lose effectiveness. Input a perk that forces it, however, and it just brings it back among all ranks.

She was higher tier back in the ptb.
The best way to play her now is to camp with dead man's switch.
Overall, it was a nice attempt at making an original killer, even if the outcome wasn't the best.
If that's the best way for some to play her, then they are playing her wrong.

This idea has come up a few times. I can't see how it could work as SWF could easily see that it's not an actual survivor.
Eliminate SWF.
-
With CoH, yes.
-
I was, till I realized both are neutered by CoH. GF and Legion require hit and run. CoH doesn't allow that. After a week of playtime, I'm guessing their pickrates will fall off again at the higher level.
-
Once one survivor is out of the game, this because pointless. Unless, they lower the requirement for each survivor out of the match.
-
No new map, weak killer, another survivor reskin, forgettable perks. Nothing to really stay hyped over, unfortunately.
-
Chase perks are fine, but a bamboozle equivalent for survivors? Yeah, that won't fly. Unless devs go back and add in even more breakable walls to negate god loops both create.

"Too complex" to implement, I'll bet.
But yes, I hate playing a killer with a teleport, and then never getting to do it half the time because the survivors had a tape, because it's in a spot where a gen is done already and is nowhere near anything else, or because I teleported to it over 30 seconds ago and can't do so again until that arbitrary built-in timer is up.
Or the fact that the tvs always point away from the gen, meaning the speed boost is wasted on simply turning around.
-
Did they remove the fences, or just remodel them with ivy?
-
I don't care enough to do so. I don't play enough anymore to justify burning what I have, I don't pump in enough into the bloodweb to earn what I want, and more likely than not, it's going to be wasted by a rage quit/hacker/bully squad/RPD.
-
I use it on Nemmy. I find survivors are more likely to go for a save while I'm going for a hook, as they expect me to try and infect them before a hit.
-
Remove collision while it's active and I'd be okay with it being basekit.
-
She doesn't bring anything new to the table. Her teleporting is frustrating, her condemned is useless, and she has no loop potential. Just a bundle of lackluster choices that the devs were afraid of taking in a stronger direction. I mean, at the very least, you'd think her TVs would face gens. That tiny speed boost you get is negated just by turning around. I'm not surprised so few people are playing her.
-
No you don't.
-
If they pop CoH, I just take that as a signal to tunnel.
But for Plague, I love her to bits. However, she's plagued (see what I did there?) by issues, some of which you mentioned. My biggest, though, is the server side validation. I know I hit them with puke, in either form, yet due to a server hiccup, it doesn't count. Normally, this happens when I need it the most. It's not a rare thing either, which just irritates me.
Second, the dc'ing I get. Survivors know that Plague is underplayed, so they figure the five minute timer is better than facing her, knowing that they won't face her again for awhile. It was especially evident with her recent QoL changes. I just put her away, now that Artist is here. Will go back to her soon, though. i miss her.

I'm with you in the sense that I like EGC although it does feel a bit rushed. Weren't there supposed to be a start game mechanic introduced? Mentioned a few years ago but never happened
They stated in the last Q&A that they scrapped it.
-
It's just another half baked measure the devs take, like SBMM.

I'd prefer they don't. Because on the common occurence a patch doesn't release with serious bugs, people will abuse the fact of free dcs.
Doesn't stop survivors from suiciding on hook, so what's that change? They weren't going to play in the first place.
-
According to the forum, and killer that doesn't circle trash is broken.
-
They're probably afraid of making another Iri Head. Or maybe they see things from their comment about Twins, 'in high ranks they're absolute monsters.' My guess is they apply that to iri addons.
-
Once in the last few weeks. Was a Deathslinger who was obviously new.

terrible release?? you haven't played twins i main her since a few months back and let me tell you she is super strong in my opinion
(i dont get the addon nerfs tho.....)
I'm referring to what a buggy mess she, the game, and the servers were in on her release. It made a horrible impression when you were locked into Victor for the match, or the game would crash every time you separated, or infinite loading screens.
Whether you think she's strong or not comes down to player skill. So, go for it. But that doesn't change what they were on release, or how they're played now.
-
Terrible release, every counter in the book given to survivors, and camping being really the only viable strategy in higher play, barring some exceptional players.
-
I think they do listen, since they bring up some common issues in their Q&A. The problem is that:
1) They are so unbelievably slow to do anything meaningful. I've never seen a slower dev team in control of a multiplayer game than this one.
2) They're on a different page than the playerbase. From 'if you died, was it skill' to 'Undying is unfair, lets give survivors infinite boons instead,' While they may hear what the playerbase is saying, they're so wrapped up in how they see the game, they don't see it for what it actually is.
3) Inconsistent. They'll sometimes produce good work, most often times throw out something shoddy and pretend it's good. Breakable walls are a good example. Instead of a new way to play the game, they just brought back infinites with an additional step. The grass update. RPD. Boons! SBMM.
-
Maybe you should wait a month for her to settle before this? She just dropped, people are still learning to play as her and against her.
-
@ukenicky said:
I'm seeing this trend of "She isn't strong enough" like do some of you only play killers who are solid A tier+?
Is there something wrong with having killers who aren't immediately incredibly powerful/broken and people being excited for a character just because they like them and want to play as them regardless of their power level
We want killers that are viable all the way around. You may enjoy a killer, but when you keep getting smashed because of that killers inherent weaknesses in higher level play, it can ruin the fun of said killer.
-
She's meh. I'm enjoying her (the grass dampens my mood on her, it fills half the screen), but I know she won't stand up in the higher skill setting.
-
Uh, because camping is a measure of skill, according to the devs.
-
It's not the healing speed that's the issue, at least directly. It's the fact that it's a fifth free perk for three survivors, with little in the way of a downside. There's almost no risk in running it, which is the inherent problem with boons. Why the devs thought Undying was a problem, yet this isn't, boggles my mind.
-
MMR, balancing, terrible servers, hackers. All of which the devs take their sweet time doing anything about. God forbid you call them out on it, or else they'll pull their normal 'we've done a pretty good job so far' and 'soon' act.
So, the number one reason in my book? The devs.
-
Makes me wonder if there will be any form of compensation for this epidemic, seeing it's on the devs to do something about it in a timely fashion.
-
I wouldn't say trigger. Head On triggers me. DH only gets under my skin when I'm up against a skilled survivor, and I outplay them. I know I outplayed them, they know I outplayed them, only to E out of it and reset everything. Especially when RNG is on their side and there's forty other pallets around.
-
Revert his changes. Remember, the devs said he was in a good spot, only to go ahead and nerf him for. . . big brain reasons or something. I don't think they had any, they just wanted to jump on the Bubba bandwagon at the time.

I've noted this myself, but like killer grabs, it's not going to be addressed.

Why have SC when you have the game breaking CoH?

There was a slight increase at the last weekend when the trend for the last 30 days showed green numbers but got back into the red after one or tow days.
But it's still interesting to see that the game is back to beginning of 2021 in terms of player count on steam. Truly not a desirable trend for long-term survival of the game but we will have to continue observing and see.
Especially considering the surge the game had when it went to EGS. To get that injection into the player base, only for it to fall off fairly quickly? That doesn't bode well.

put on light born then
They said at the last second. You don't have time to do that.
-
To rub it in. Any survivor that claims they're doing it 'to give/get points' are just sugar coating it. You get, what, 100, maybe 250 BP at most? It's practically useless. Especially for those survivors that wait out the timer, then claim they were trying to 'give points.'
-
According to BHVR, kills are a testament of skill. If you were camped/tunneled out of the game, that's a skill issue.
My point in this is that so long as this is the devs mindset, any real change will be unlikely to happen.

LOL why are you talking like if I am good? Im a survivor main that NEVER PLAYS KILLER. I literally played bubba for the first time in my life, and again, -i have about 1 hour of TOTAL killer experience in the past 5 months. I AM AS LOW MMR AS YOU CAN GET.
Emblem has little bearing on your MMR. Iri emblem just shows time put in, not where you stand on the SBMM. You're all at the bottom rung of the system, so of course the killer is going to do well, especially a Bubba.
Two survivors are under 10k. I'm assuming you face camped the first, or at least proxy camped, and the second tried to make a few saves. Seeing as that Bill only has three T1 perks, it could be HIS first few matches in the game as well. The other two seem to have popped a gen or two, had a few decent chases. If you had four survivors of the same thought process, I assume your match would have gone differently.
Using your logic, if you played Nurse, and lost your first match, does that mean Nurse is bottom tier and deserves buffs?
-
It's. . . okay. Would be better if it wasn't a desert. I live in a desert, thus, I hate the desert. If it were smaller, it would be a nicer map, but as it is, it takes forever to get anywhere.

I'm curious, are people only using DH because it's good, or do they use it because DH is fun? Maybe both?
They use it because it's a free health state that other exhaustion perks don't give. A legal cheat, of sorts.

Killers always blaming SWF to feel better with themselves after a bad game even though they doesn't know if they are actually SWF. Pretty common reaction.
"What? I lost a game? Yeah yeah, must be SWF on comms"
If it looks like a SWF, acts like a SWF, I'm going to bet on a SWF. It's safer to imagine comms than an actually good solo player, especially when all the survivors are running near identical setups.
-
And yet, I still see Boil Over builds being used.
-
According to the lead dev, camping is skill, since only kills matter.
-
I always thought 'hug tech' was survivors gliding across walls while looping so they could see behind them while moving. . .
-
Old Freddy would be absolutely destroyed in todays game environment without significant changes.
