PC killers are better than console killers
Survivors are basically the same just more console SWF
-
Depends on my challenges, since the killer challenge for scoring 20,000 points is broken right now im forced to grind survivor.
-
It's already annoying enough that only a select group of players get to use firecrackers, it would be way worse if these very strong addons were only available to people playing right now.
-
Nahhh I think we should nerf Discordance.
-
Nintendo definitely wouldn't do a full character/stage for this game, there's not enough variety in a killer's moveset and the horror theme doesn't fit into Smash. Something along the lines of the Fatal Frame assist trophy could work though.
-
4k, all Iridescent as Blight, 417 progress for the challenge.
-
The way they talk about the statistics really worries me.
They provide us with statistics which say Nurse is the weakest killer and Pig is top 3
Then use those egregious statistics which are obviously flawed as their basis for reworking/not reworking perks and killers.
Hearing Almo drone on about why their secret stats are reliable while simultaneously dismissing the only statistics they show us as unreliable makes me wonder what kind of logic they use when they say OoO is fine.
I imagine something along the lines of "Person with OoO doesn't escape more than 25% of the time? Perk must be fine." Can't wait for MMR to use the same system.

I was most interested in the part where they explained that the killer has a different model/pose in their own game so that their hands are in front of their face. Does that mean that, right now, when we load into killer games and see ourselves in a weird, bugged position during the opening animation, we're actually seeing how we look all the time? Is this the DBD killer equivalent of hearing your own voice and being repulsed by it?
Yep, what you see during the opening camera spin is your "weapon model" so to speak instead of your "world-view model".
If you ever notice that its harder to see your legs when looking down as some killers this is the reason for it. The legs may not be modeled entirely from killer POV because they don't serve any gameplay purpose or would look strange.
-
I knew Nurse stats were gonna be bad but wow, just goes to show that numbers aren't everything.
Also keep in mind that these killer stats don't exclude games with moris so all the percentages are a few above what they really should be.
-
Teammates throwing the game sucked but I could really care less as long as I get my skins. At least the old cankers gave me something new to hold M1 on.
-
Someone has probably already made a bot to instantly input the code on 10 alternate accounts. Don't waste your time trying to get one.
-
Events used to get me and my friends back into the game so we could earn some skins and have something new to work towards. Now I see no reason to play, they literally colored the rift orange and called it a day.

Free loot

OoO is going in the dumpster.
-
Lightborn is a strong survivor perk, almost as good as Monstrous Shrine.
-
So to counter her you just wait at any relatively safe pallet/window and drop/vault as soon as you see her? It would be like the chainsaw killers but instead of an insta-down you get a normal hit and also can't settle for a normal M1 if you think they will escape you. Personally I think Spirit as a killer is almost unsalvageable but maybe making her footsteps louder would be a start, make her power a listening game for both sides.

An ultra rare add-on that requires two difficult skill checks to get the most value out of it? Not overpowered in the least.

Me self-care in corner, me smart player, me find hatch, gg ez baby killer.
-
Imagine the endgame chat after 4-man SWF gets trickstabbed. Just make a killer that can oneshot from behind and b-hop to gain speed.
-
So defending totems should be impossible? Imagine pre cleansing dull totems for NOED/Undying or totem-tapping ala old Ruin, there would be no point to pushing survivors off your hexes if anyone can just waltz on over and finish cleansing in a couple seconds.
I like hex meta, it makes totems an actual secondary objective for survivors and gives me another object to hold m1 on.

Interesting - why does the suiciding ensure the benevolent? Do you lose points during the game if you're alive?
I believe time spent with teammates on hook detracts from benevolent so the optimal strat is to hook bomb with BT and then #########, heals are also worth a lot so We'll Make It is good for pipping.
-
Yeah it needs something to be more consistent, maybe increased chance for skillchecks or at least 1-2 guaranteed per heal
-
Blood Favor sucks but im not sure I even want it to be good
Looping and pallets are 90% of gameplay so taking away elements of the chase will only make survivor and killer more one-dimensional
-
wdym depipping cause my teammates suicide/DC adds to my immersion
At least that's what the devs say
-
For the most part Fredster is a regular M1 killer with slowdown so really any generally useful perks are good on him.
Perks especially good for Freddy:
Save The Best For Last
Pop Goes The Weasel
Any hex perk
Surveillance
Make Your Choice

Trapper - Survivor is supposed to be easy mode, I don't want to stare at the floor for 10 minutes straight
Spirit - Run Iron Will or die
Pyramid Head - The power fake meta is a little annoying but my main gripe is that P Head makes it nearly impossible to pip at high ranks because he ends chases quickly, doesn't get stunned at pallets, cages instead of hooks etc.
-
This dude makes 90% of the posts on this forum and constantly flip-flops between game perfect, community bad and game bad, community perfect. He's made every complaint and every praise for the devs. It's so weird looking at the recent discussion tab and its one person over and over again and somehow his takes get worse over time.
-
Losing his power is the penalty.
What? You want the killer's power to hinder them? He didn't get to instadown you, there's your reward.
-
If gamer tags get you this riled up you need to grow some thicker skin.
-
Nightmare on Elm Street DLC is not available on Microsoft Store or Switch versions. Hopefully they can iron out the licensing sometime in the future but until then I'd recommend buying up any perks you want from the shrine, you won't be able to get them otherwise.
-
But the difference is that SWF makes DbD money through flashy cosmetics and DLC content so they will never attempt to fix balance issues it brings to the table.
There is a reason why they caved to complaints back in 2016 and added the option to squad.
-
I just don't like how many challenges encourage you to throw the game i.e. search x amount of chests or take x number of protection hits
-
I've never played a game where the report system actually does anything so I can't imagine DBD is any different.
If the anti-cheat doesn't catch them its not like they have a 100-man team to sift through thousands of reports, most of which are from sore losers.
-
The full tombstone sucks because of how slow it makes Myers.
The tombstone piece however can be very, very strong with Judith Memorial to stalk faster.
The only advice for going against Myers with or without these addons is just don't be dumb and let him stalk you, pray that your teammates don't screw you over.
-
Without addons Wraith is weakest
With addons Pig is by far the worst
-
There would need to be a longer timer or special exceptions for occassions when hiding is beneficial, i.e. during Myers T3 or Oni's power but this is a good idea with some fine tuning
-
Ace players sweat hard, bump him up to S tier.
-
*sensually rubs ur shoulder while u work on gens*
-
Plague's perks are borderline necessary for some killers.
Blight has Undying too, but Infectious Fright and Corrupt Intervention are too good to pass up.
-
This change would put it in line with Deathslinger's Iridescent Coin addon.
-
Compared to other stealth killers? He is leagues above every other option.
Overall? I'd say Ghosty is middle of the pack, maybe a bit above average.
One of the most fun killers imo, destroys scrubs because instadowns+undetectable.
If you don't have all the meta perks from DLC I'd look into buying those first.
-
Why out of all the terrible/unbalanced perks in the game does Inner Strength need a rework? I think it's a fine perk as is.
-
Drop god pallet and DC
-
I don't care that it is nerfed I care that the change only weakens low-mobility killers that are already mediocre. It's also a little concerning that the devs think this is a needed change when so many real problems exist.

Or, maybe... they realized 60 seconds for a perk you can use on-demand 11 times in a game may be excessive in a way 60 seconds for a perk you can use once per match is not.
This post reveals one thing about the OP: salt.
I agree, that's why No Mither is the most overpowered perk in the game.
Infinite uses??? That's WAY more than 11. Pls nerf BHVR.

Where is my 45 second DS to go with my 45 second Pop?

Sweet mother of god that looks awful. And people were just starting to praise the graphics team too.

Nice bait?
I got to rank 1 killer in less than a week one-tricking Spirit. While I have 800 hours as solo survivor. No matter that Spirit is an easy-mode killer (so is Tunnelhead, Slinger, Freddy, and literally any other killer that decides to camp and tunnel).
I faced t-bagging and flashlight clicking but how is that such a problem? You're really that offended? Never once did I feel "justified" to camp or tunnel a "toxic" survivor and everything still worked out perfect. I never once felt stressed playing killer unlike every game of solo survivor. I still go back to playing killer for more BP because killer's have that advantage (and many more) - and am still in red ranks.
Literally the only things killer face that can be considered "toxic" is t-bagging and flashlight clicking. Yet here I am dealing with face-camping, hard tunneling, mori-ing off of first hook every game. Should I also express Tunnelheads purposely dropping me onto a trench so they could mini-mori me? How about the times I had Ghostface's t-bag me the entirety of bleeding state? The Doctor's forcing a 3-gen and refusing to kill anyone or let survivor's do gens? The tunneling iri-heads? The killer slugging for a 4k making the game go on forever because if a survivor got the hatch their ego would be hurt? The AFK wraiths? The many times I de-rank because a killer decided to camp and tunnel me out of the game within the first 5 minutes while they receive no punishment at all? I could write a 10-page report of how killers are toxic and deal with nothing in comparison to a solo survivor.
do bones
-
They can let the regular team handle all the little bugs but I'd like to see some more effort go into launching less updates with numerous game-breaking bugs. It's sort of disappointing seeing all these problems from the PTB remain untouched.
-
It's insane how much impact one killer mistake can have on the match.
You slightly misjudge one swing, they get to a strong vault, you get looped for an extra 15 seconds, and now everyone, including the person you are chasing is healed and out the exit gates because not ending chase earlier allowed their team to pop Adrenaline.
