That's actually pretty cool, I'd rather see creative builds like this than the same old DS, Unbreakable, Exhaustion, Meta Perk #4.
Makes me wonder what it would be like if DS just stayed broken and BHVR finally got around to changing 5s to 10s and whatever other simple changes many perks need to be usable.

I've never encountered or heard of this bug. Might be worth gathering up some details and submitting a bug report.
Its been around for months if not years, you can find some posts on it floating around but I think most people just attribute it to lag or their mouse and move on. It is not a problem with hardware, it is the game.

Plus very few add ons are actually useless. Hang on, Hang on, don’t angry. Yes, SOME add ons are useless. But they’re smaller in number than most proclaim.
A lot of what is claimed as useless is usually because players don’t think deeply enough about how to take advantage of them.
Please explain to me how "thinking deeply" will make literally any of Demo's addons besides Rat Liver/Deer Lung worth the time it takes to equip them.
I don't understand the logic that because you can maybe squeeze a tiny little bit of value out of an addon under the right circumstances by playing in an unconventional manner the addon in question is somehow fine. It is unacceptable that so many green/purple/red addons serve no purpose but to steal your bloodpoints and make addon-reliant killers inaccessible to new players.
Want to play Wraith? Well you better have a few hundreds of thousands of bloodpoints saved up.

Can you send a link?
1:34-1:37
There are some other lower/higher pitched variations too, not sure whether its a distance thing or just random.
-
I'm surprised nobody brings this up, I see it all the time from 3-4 SWFs
-
Against average killers who don't understand what you are trying to do this may work but if an experienced killer wants someone dead and you haven't been hooked it will be very hard to get them on you.

No, because that means if you're running, the timer will go down faster and that's bs if the Pig just wants to chase you all game.

Who cares, I just want a fun killer power and decent perks.
-
No, there's a reason it is called fun bus/god bus.
It is way too strong for a filler tile and should have been patched a long time ago.
-
I think they made them clip under certain textures like Ormond snow/Red Forest gravel.
-
It's laughable how some say the bloodpoint codes compensate for BP weekends.
100k bloodpoints disappears in an instant, and there's more and more clutter added to the bloodweb every few months.
-
I don't really see how Myers is similar to the chainsaw boys or Blight.
He's a power burst killer along the lines of Oni/Plague where their real power is a limited resource that only lasts for a short while.
-
The devs said that suicide on hook is part of the "immersion" and represents survivors losing hope.
-
Imagine seeing your teammate get slashed with a katana, bashed multiple times over the head with a club, and have their tongue ripped out by a 10-foot demon...
Then you give him a lil' back rub for 70 seconds and he's fine.
-
That Thrilling Tremors change would make it garbage. Nobody is using it for the slowdown, it's like an 80% BBQ 20% Corrupt hybrid.
-
So many of these perks just completely counter certain builds or are much more effective against select killers, which is exactly why perks like Slippery Meat are so lame in the first place. Also maybe think of some effects other than "Go faster for x seconds".
-
The devs haven't formally acknowledged the huge stuttering issues that everyone is getting as well as many other bugs that got pushed to live and have so far just told people their computer isn't good enough so I wouldn't hold my breath for lightning-fast fixes.
-
I know deep down that it probably won't be Haddonfield but it's just such a perfect opportunity
Old, outdated, imbalanced map with a mediocre killer and some very controversial perks. A Halloween chapter revamp would be very appreciated.
-
The point of cages is to avoid DS
-
Why nerf infectious fright when we could buff all the bad perks instead
Edit: Okay now I won't get banned sorry I forgot
-
The rift is their replacement for events. Kinda lame but it is what it is.
-
Survivor:
In terms of perks there are a lot to choose from, Quentin, Ash, Yui, Zarina, but the worst by far is Ace; his perks do nothing but encourage you to be a useless little loot goblin.
In terms of looks Quentin is the winner, he is an actual goblin.
Killer:
Without addons Wraith as well as Trapper to a lesser degree are just sad to watch. With even yellow/green addons they both become significantly better so I'd say Clown averages at the bottom of the barrel. He is fairly strong in chase and that's it, nothing else to his name other than discount Freddy snares. Some could argue Pig, Trapper, Wraith are worse.
-
I just wish we could rank up more quickly
1 pip, 1 pip, ebony mori, 1 pip, dead on first hook, safety pip.

Thanks for that.
I am strongly favoring getting Laurie for DS first. What are your thoughts on Ming (for lithe)?
Yeah I would recommend Halloween chapter first, once you have it you are set for survivor and Myers has some fun perks too, though is not the strongest killer.
People play Feng not because her perks are particularly good but just because she has cool outfits. Lithe is in the same category as Balanced Landing where they are pretty much just niche Sprint Bursts so if you are tight on money I'd skip that chapter.
-
For survivor the only DLC you need is Halloween for DS, the rest are free teachables
For all the meta killer perks you will need Clown for PGTW, Hag for Ruin, Plague for Corrupt Intervention and Infectious, and Leatherface for BBQ if you don't want to spend five million years grinding bloodpoints.
I recommend getting BBQ and Chili even if you plan on playing mostly survivor as playing killer with the perk is by far the fastest way to level any character.
If you want strong killers Spirit, Freddy, Oni, and Hag are all great options.
So in my opinion Halloween chapter, then Hag chapter, then Plague, then you can pick and choose.
-
How would you even avoid the DS bug in the first place?
-
Shroud of Genrush
-
To anyone saying they haven't had any issues:
Try playing Plague and experience the worst, laggiest match of your life.
-
Your idea for a perk rework probably isn't good if monstrous shrine has a more powerful effect.
-
What, you don't like sticking your head into a jet engine for 80 seconds?
-
To be fair even though the flying basement hook bug affected survivors it was mostly a positive cause you didn't have to walk upstairs.
-
Not down to zero, I could see an argument for gates to regress back to 80% or so but completely resetting the timer would screw over those clutch final survivor escapes.
-
Just derank/lobby dodge until you find rank 20 SWF, ez farm.
-
Yeah no, I'd rather not get banned for hurting someone's feelings over the internet and lose all my progress in one of the grindiest games known to man.
-
This doesn't happen very often so I'd rather they focus on more important issues.
-
I really could not care less who they add to the game as long as their power is fun and unique.
Preferably not licensed though cause I'm sitting on a metric ton on shards.
-
There actually is an audio warning for the Deathslinger aiming at you.
Listen for a small ringing noise, though it only really matters when he is ADSing for long periods.
-
Personally I use them for dailies so I don't have to run devour/rancor for that one "Kill 1 survivor by your own hand as the Clown".
-
A survivor can outrun the Legion for the entirety of their power if the survivor and Legion run forward in a straight line with at least 12 meters between them.
For reference, the Demogorgon's shred covers a distance of 11 meters.
-
New perks aren't meant to be useful.
-

We just got hundreds of double bp cakes back in June...
There were multiple in every bloodweb
They've also given away at least 300k bp via codes in the past couple of weeks.
They're hardly starving us for bp
Not everyone was grinding 24/7 during a short two week period, most of the current playerbase probably didn't own the game and/or play at all.
-
Yeah but then how would I give survivors a shoulder rub while they slam wooden pallets over my head?
-
@VoidAether said:
yeah for me I have especially on plague
It is very bad on all killers, less so on survivors but on Plague it is absolutely unbearable.
I feel bad for everyone who has to play against my teleporting Plague that gets corrupt purge 5 minutes after using a fountain.
-
It is on BHVR server side, they haven't made a statement yet but many people are having problems since 4.2 update
It was present before but now? Game is nearly unplayable and I feel bad for any survivors that have to play against my teleporting Plague.
-
More than 6 survivors needed
-
Something is wrong with the servers right now, might have to do with that
-
At this point I am slower than survivors as 115% killers
-
It's been like this since I started playing, don't expect a fix.
-
I don't feel like "I wouldn't use it" or "I would use it" does the question justice.
Depends on the killer, on high mobility killers that can zoom over to BBQ auras yeah I might run it but without the bloodpoint bonus something like MYC could be more useful on Hag.
-
I can't play the game because my game freezes after kicking pallets/doors
Guess I won't buy the next rift pass
