Legion is worse. But clown is pretty bad.

Why run them if you don't get any more use out of them once the time is up? Especially if you run both.
Pairing the 2 together is going to become the new meta. Just wait, standard build will be Corrupt/LP/BBQ/Pop

thanks for your detailed explanation, while what you said about most killer is true. people tend to forget that looping is basic of the game as we can compare in the fighting game where block and evade is one of the crucial element of the game.
so 1v1 will always be part of the game in how you escape or evade the killer. In tournament people still can win or lose depending on the teams but some rules apply on tournament on what can you bring or which perk you cant use and so on.
while i agree that spirit can still lose but OP or not is not based on whether she still can lose
True, looping is part of the game. if you want to continue the fighting game comparison of looping being blocking. Then spirit is a Grappler like Zangief where blocking all the time against him isn't going to work out in your favor. You need to zone him out (stay stealthy) and not let him get close to you. When he does, you can bet you are probably going to lose.

before any spirit main come here i will share some part they use most.
Spirit is strong on 1v1 - is there any killer can chase more than 2 ?
Spirit can be countered by pre drop pallet etc - i'm sorry but this will work with other killers and you still can escape but not with spirit.
Imagine this is fighting game but since spirit attack so strong you cant block it. but you can evade her attack. sure you can win by evading every attack of her. is that OP ? is she needs nerf if only that character do that way ?
Not a spirit main, but lots of hours regardless.
Many killers are able to deal with multiple survivors at once. Spirit cannot. Nurse is able to because her cooldown is so short. Wraith is very good at the hit and run style. Legion is ONLY good against multiple survivors. Twins can actually chase/pressure 2 survivors at once. Pig can take someone out of the game with her traps, not directly chasing them, but still takes them out of the game where they have to get traps off.
Every killer is different and has a different style. Against a spirit, you can't just loop. You need to stealth around, and try to bait her out. Spirit still loses against survivors who focus gens hard. She can't get downs fast enough if everyone pressure gens because her power is not that great at map traversal, as you want to be using it in chases.
Also, i come from fighting games. Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and MvC2 are my jam. And in those games, 1 mistake means you get ToD'd or infinite combo and you lose. With spirit, you get 6 chances. Which is lucky, because i come from a world where you get 1.
Now, this isn't to say that i think spirit doesn't need changes. But i don't think a direct nerf is the way to go, the reality is at the highest level, nurse can barely compete, and spirit still gets blown out by organized depip/tournament level squads.

by what i mean is that will trapper be good without a rework and just buffs. he is a weak killer and is very outdated. stat buffs would be nice for him but overall he might need a rework to come to any thing close to someone like demo
what are your thoughts
I posted this in another thread, but he really only needs a couple of small changes:
- Give him 3 traps to start, and rework bag addons to do something else
- Make the rest of his traps all spawn near a generator. So that there is always a trap along your patrol path to start with and you don't have to run into weird areas to grab trapss
- Give him a big movement speed buff to like: going from 115% ms to 150% movement speed when someone steps in a trap. This gives trapper some time to run to that person, or to even use the movement speed burst to help him in a different chase.
- Just completely remove the RNG from the traps. make it like 8 seconds to remove yourself, and 4 seconds for someone else to remove you.
- Make the aura of his traps a bit brighter (QOL)

Naming and shaming rules cover it!
People are free to discuss the points that were brought up but not the individuals involved in the situation - or allude to them.
For that reason, it's probably best not to discuss that here.
Is it still considered naming and shaming if i say something like:
"A streamer said this" and "Another streamer made a video about the first streamer" etc? Talking about the situation but not actually naming them.

Hello,
i was wondering what do you guys think are the 3 Killers that need to be buffed the most and how would you buff them?
Interested if there is a forum "consensus".
Have a nice day!
Legion
Myers
Trapper
Legion:
- Make it so that everytime you hit a survivor with your power, it reduces the cooldown you feel at the end of your power by 1 second. This means if you hit all 4 survivors, your cooldown is 1 second.
- Make the green duration addon basekit and rework those addons to do something else.
Myers:
- Nerf/rework his stupid addons (you know the ones)
- Make each tier fully viable to play on their own with their own strategies:
- Tier 1: Increase movement speed to 110%
- Tier 1: Increase lunge distance to normal lunge
- Tier 2: Increase terror radius to default 32 meters
- Tier 2: Increase movement speed to 120% (yes i said that)
- Tier 2: Decrease kick and vault speeds to be at 80% of base (reverse bamboozle/Brutal basically)
- Tier 3: Decrease duration to 30 seconds
- Tier 3: Movement speed stays at 115%.
- Tier 3: Increase the vault speed/kick speed buffs to be at 150% base (double bamboozle/brutal basically)
- After tier 3 ends, you get put back into tier 1.
- Decrease the amount of stalk needed to tier up by half for all tiers
- Allow you to stalk each survivor an infinite amount of time.
Trapper:
- Give him 3 traps basekit, remove all the bag addons and rework to something else.
- Trapper gets a secondary to his power: When a survivor steps onto a trap, Trapper's movement speed is increased to 150%.
- Remove ALL RNG from trap removal, and just make it a timer, takes 8 seconds to take it off yourself, 4 seconds if someone helps you.
- Normalize the spread of traps and trap spawn RNG to be a bit better. Place 1 near each gen rather than in random places so that they are always near your patrol path to start.

Actually that isn't true, even with Iron Will, crouching against Stridor doesn't remove all grunts of pain. According to DbD's way of calculating percentages it should, but it doesn't.
It might not make it 0, but i can say that it makes it effectively 0 because you have to basically be touching them to hear the noise.

Are there perks besides Small game that can assist with this challenge? It's super hard to do as I am a rank 4 and I only get rank 1 killers that consistently patrol gens.
Borrowed Time + Small game or detective's hunch. Bring a really good toolbox, burn through 2 gens as fast as possible, then go for unhooks and totems.

Told ya same thing every time this is part the reason I'm not playing as much as I used to killers get away with too much and if a survivor even thinks about walking past the last gen they're holding games hostage NVM if the killer is camping the gens and only running after the survivors a small distance away. If we refuse to play to his rules we're in the wrong.
That's actually a rare example of the killer holding the game hostage, just for the record.
... what? Defending gens is holding the game hostage now, i REALLY hope you are talking about survivors who intentionally hide and never do a gen when there are only 2 of them left

Since you said you liked stealth and hit and run, definitely wraith.
I like to use a build of:
- BBQ/Thrilling (BBQ if i need bloodpoints)
- Surge (don't waste time kicking gens)
- Ruin (for that early game delay)
- Sloppy Butcher (for healing to take longer)
You could swap out ruin or surge for Nurses, by i usually run the All-seeing addon so i don't need nurses most of the time.

Maybe have the game run a check that sees that the person did literally NOTHING all match but wander around hiding, not doing gens, not cleansing hexes, not doing saves, not doing ANYTHING, only to let the last two or three people die so they could look for and / or camp the hatch?
I didn't used to see this very often but it's happened literally four times today, now twice in a row, and it's really starting to piss me off. If someone is literally contributing nothing to the match, and in fact acting as a deliberate detriment to it, I would be very happy to see this kind of behavior dealt with.
One match it's four of us versus Michael on Crotus Prenn. I start to notice that by the first death it's the same three of us running across each other, healing and saving and trying to do gens. Then it's down to me and one other person plus the mystery player. Then he dies. Then I die. Lo and behold, I spectate and they're just hiding behind trees waiting for the hatch. Thanks Cheryl. Next it's the FIRST time I've seen the Thompson House in weeks, but I can hardly enjoy it because I and two others are the only ones actually moving around and accomplishing anything. It gets down to me, again, and sure enough, after I die I have half a second to spectate before the final person runs from behind a rock or some crap and jumps into the hatch.
Honestly if this becomes a habit I'd be happy to see the hatch eliminated altogether. I'm rapidly becoming fed up with players who are just cowards and screw everyone else the whole game. Why even play?
If it is a bill, its probably because of the rift challenge. Which i agree is dumb but most of the time the challenges require you to not actually play the game.

His nerf must be reverted. It is the right, and logical, thing to do.
I love their logic on this too: "We like how billy performs, he is fun to play against, fun to play as, and he has good counterplay for survivors"
and in the next sentence: "So anyway, we nerfed him"

one thing I would really want is that they give her own chase music but when she start phasing the chase music changes to be more aggressive to show she is made and gaining on you real fast
give me your change ideas
I would do 2 things:
Give survivors a notification when she uses her power, no more standing still and doing nothing.
Make her power work like her passive phase by doing the following:
- Increase the duration of her power to 6 seconds basekit.
- At 1.5, 3, and 4.5 seconds into using her power, she phases back in for .5 seconds. During this time, survivors can see the spirit, and the spirit can see the survivors.
This gives her counterplay. She really isn't overpowered, she is just boring to play against because there really isn't any counterplay against her.

oh yea we escaped but this poor jake had to suffer the fate of the look see lol there were 5 gens left his first hook and hes face camping. I think he did it because i cleansed ruin as soon as i spawned lol
Sounds like reason enough for me. If part of my plan is to use a perk that literally gets removed from the game due to RNG to the point that i physically can't do anything about it? It is gonna put me on tilt and make me wanna camp that person. If the survivors play dumb, i can probably turn it into a win. If not, at least i made someone else not have fun after they took my fun away.

What joy does one get out of facecamping first hook? Do killers ACTUALLY get rewarded in rank for face camping? I am soo confused?
I'm sure there was a reason. But the reality is, camping only works if survivors put themselves in a situation where it is the most effective play. Stop hating on the player, and start hating on BHVR for allowing it to happen. I'd like to not have to ever camp or tunnel, but the reality is the game goes too fast to not do those things.

Hag is 110% because she doesn't need to chase.
Correct, that is how killers with 110% movement speed work. Their power allows them to win chases very well. Hag is a bit different, in that her power isn't really good IN a chase unless you setup stuff ahead of time.

71+62 = 133
1 speed limiter = 3000 BPs
133 speed limiters x 3000 BPs = 399000 BPs
133 Speed Limiter are just collecting Dust in my end and my 399000 BPs ended up down the drain. I wasted 399K BPs because BHVR forced me to buy those Speed Limiters. Why am I forced to buy crap like these?

In the hands of a novice, yes. The real reason Dead Hard is used so often is because it is the easiest stamina perk to use after those nerfs to Balanced landing. In the hands of a skilled player(s) that know what they are doing Sprint burst as well as Lithe are very strong. The reason you don't see Sprint burst very often is because of the penalty, most players don't know how to deal with the movement penalty or use the speed effectively so they'll waste it running to a generator or worse combo it with Urban evasion.
If you nerf Dead Hard all you will do is get people to switch to Lithe or Sprint burst, and when players finally get over that hump its gonna be pretty annoying having those be the meta let me tell ya. Its the same thing that happened when BL got nerfed and likewise for killers we just move on to the next best perk what will we do then, demand a nerf again? All we do by doing this is kill the variety of the game even further by making the meta more and more rigid, perks should be strong on both sides it gives the players agency
And Dead Hard is nowhere near as strong as it used to be thanks to the map changes. It can't clear a survivor from a dead-zone, it can't buy them an escape from a generator, nor save them if they are caught in a empty field its designed purely for pallet looping and nothing more
I'd rather deal with Lithe or Sprint Burst against good players. Look at all of the exhaustion perks in their current state.
- Lithe
- Dead hard
- Head on
- Sprint Burst
- Balanced Landing
- Smash Hit
Lithe is not efficient. All it does is let you move from one loop to another. You can't loop as effectively with it, because vaulting a window will use it early on in the chase. You could drop pallets earlier, but then you are using up the pallets early to save your Lithe which i don't think is a good use of the perk. Pallets are gone permanently, and a "wasted" Lithe comes back in 40 seconds. When i see Lithe as a killer, i have options. I can abandon the current chase, go after someone else and i didn't really "waste" anything, because i likely got a hit or not, but either way the Lithe was used very early in the chase, which allows me to save my time, go chase someone else, and note the survivor has Lithe and plan for it next time by knowing they are likely going to vault that window rather than fake it to get their Lithe and I can start cutting them off early.
Sprint burst is also not efficient, it can't effectively be used in a chase unless you "99" it. If you 99 it, you can't do anything other than hold shift w, or else it will be ready to be used again, so you can't stop to repair generators. Additionally, in order to not use it, you have to walk around everywhere. Smart survivors will know this and use it to sprint to a gen quickly and use the time working on the gen to wait for exhaustion, but if the killer comes before it is up, you have no sprint burst. Also, as a killer, i can bait it out. I can run toward a gen with the survivor with sprint burst, watch them run and waste it, then quickly abandon, but then quickly double back as they go to work on the gen. I can also abandon the chase, because it happens at the start of the chase so it is easy to pick someone else to go after.
Balanced landing is very hard to use and is heavily map dependent. It is also usually super obvious when a survivor has it, because they run for the otherwise useless hills. I can prepare for it, plan for it, and deal with it. The only exception to this is Haddofield, but that has it's own problems.
Smash hit requires a pallet stun. I can respect the pallets harder if i know the survivor has it, or i can not, and if i get pallet stunned, what happens? It just ends the chase. Often i will break the pallet anyway which again, ends the chase, Smash hit just ends the chase harder and forces me to pick someone else. Ok, no big deal, because i often want to do that anyway.
Head on can't really be used in chase without comboing with other perks, and doesn't grant as much distance as the others. Also, you can bait it out, have them jump out of the locker, and then what? They go down.
Dead hard for distance has no counter, and no downside compared to all of the other perks.
-
@BlueFang said:
Anyone who thinks it needs a nerf in the current sandbox is just being absurd. Even back when there used to be double pallets and super strong back to back jungle gyms that was a map and RNG problem rather then something to do with the perk. With the current dead-zones, reduced pallet count, and nerfs to so many stamina perks anyone that wants a nerf to DH is just being salty
Dead hard for distance is by far the best exhaustion perk. Every other exhaustion perk has a downside and/or a counter. Dead hard has neither when used for distance.
@RyRapsYT said:
Personally, I think DH is fine but if you think it needs a nerf, please put here what they should nerf it to.
I'd like to see that instead of being activated that it gives you a sprint burst when you get hit. Think about those times when you get hit just before you use sprint burst and you run super super fast for like 3 seconds? It should do that. This solves the problem of "Dead hard for distance" being uncounterable, because now you can abandon the chase, like you can with other perks. Additionally, people will stop complaining about "exhausted on the ground"

Survivors can still spread after they spawned together lol.If they spawn in a place survivor checks last it will be just as bad for the killer.
....Right, but then they aren't all on a gen as soon as the match starts, it will take at least 3 of them 15-20 seconds to spread out to find a gen. Giving the killer time to cross the map and start a chase, meanwhile 1 gen has 15-20 seconds of progress and 1 or 2 have like 3 seconds.
When survivors spawn super spread out, you find one in 20-25 seconds (because it is harder because you spawn in the middle so you often take longer to find one) and then 4 gens have 20 seconds of progress.
Do you see the point?
Again, you aren't playing at high level are you? Come back after you have a few thousand hours.

That's not good either, survivors can coordinate themselves better if they know they will always spawn together so that's not a solution either.
Coordinate to do what? the same gen together? Sounds good to me, i'll get to pressure all 4 survivors at the same time. Their other option is to spread out, which means i'm more likely to catch one or 2 of them as they move to another gen, it also gives me time to move to the other side of the map before most of them can even get to a gen.

I believe it was changed a while back (probably unannounced as i noticed it when prestiging things) that it will prioritize perks you already have over new ones. This is actually pretty nice because once you get the one you want, you can usually get it to level 3 much more quickly than before.

Don't get your point? I thought people say this isn't average and that most survivors are decent and/or playing with friends
This statement doesn't make sense. Yeah, the average survivor is trash at this game and goes down in 20 seconds. But against people who know what they are doing, they all can loop you for 5 gens. Just because they are rare, doesn't mean they shouldn't be fixed. i think they should nerf those top level players and SWF (mechanically not directly) and buff the average survivor. Making the game better for everyone. The game isn't fun for killers who aren't nurse playing against the top level teams, nor is the game fun for these survivors in this game who go down in 5 seconds.

Like just holding W on a big map wastes so much of a killers time mainly if you are playing a 110. Like I had a game that got down to 1 gen despite none of the survivors making any attempt to loop me. 5 windows were vaulted and 1 pallet was dropped. Every single time I would get anywhere near a gen all 4 of them have SB. They would literally just run in a straight like from one end of Mothers Dwelling to the other. I mean I was running no slowdown and it was 3 commodus with spool and socket and 1 engineer with spool and scraps probably didnt help with the gen speed. 4 out of their 5 vault they literally vaulted into me and I wasnt even trying to do any mindgames. They had no clue how to loop and every time they attempted too they would fail miserably and end up just giving a free hit.
I just feel holding W with SB or Lithe just wastes way too much of a killers time since unless you are a certain killer like billy or blight there is nothing you can do but continue holding W or just ditching the chase because of the rediculous head start they got. Even though ditching the chase works well in most games if survivors are all doing this it just becomes an absolute chore to play.
Couple of options:
- Decrease map sizes
- Use a stamina bar similar to HSH that fills back up if the survivor gets hit, stuns killer, drops pallets, vaults, etc.
-
A system that automatically bans you based on number of reports is totally able to figure out if your reports are for one of those things.

Like it is already 24m but it feels so much smaller I had a game where I was apparently in his TR because stake out was charging but I could not hear it over the gen. Obviously this is not a suggestion to nerf current trickster but maybe in some weird alternate reality where he is actually good maybe they could look at his TR specifically at the edge.
Generally killers who have a 24 meter terror radius use monitor and abuse, making it 16 meters. For reference, 6 meters is the max lunge distance. So even 24 meters is a lot closer than you think.

No, it won't. Legion's power does not count as a basic attack, so it won't proc on that. Secondly, the ability requires you to make a healthy survivor injured.
so you'd have to use your power, to injure a few survivors, then find another, cancel your power (lol 5 seconds) chase them as an m1 killer with no power, and hit them, then abandon the chase to get 30 seconds where the injured survivors don't know where you are, assuming that they haven't already healed by then. If survivors never heal (spoiler, against legion they shouldn't) then you get to use this perk once or twice the whole game.

Eruption would work better if it affected the last 3 gens you kick, regardless of whether or not a Survivor is working on it.
Unless you mean the scream part that seems odd. From the way it is worded, you could kick every gen, and then explode every gen.

Once again, They clearly stated VOLUME of reports is the key. So it won't be possible to grief anyone with this. Four reports isn't going to hit anyone with a ban - but one hundred reports probably will.
Basically, if you aren't a toxic jerk, you have nothing to worry about. If you ARE worried about this announcement? You may want to ask yourself why.
And i'm arguing that if if i like to play spirit or nurse that i'm going to rack up 100 reports in a day or 2.

Fair enough, but I would rather take many perks, usually I can start a chase within like 15-30 seconds if they aren't immersed survivors.
It basically will let you start the snowball immediately. When i'm not meming, my nurse build is typically:
BBQ + sloppy + thana + Corrupt.
Now i swap our corrupt for LP and i basically get a free hit within the first 5-10 seconds of a match starting now and likely can get 2-3 if all the survivors spawned together. The information it gives is far better than corrupt IMO.

I saved up 1 million BP as well as all three dailies and a bunch of challenges in anticipation for the new chapter. Yet, when I download and boot up the PTB, it's all gone? Please tell me it's just a bug. I was so excited to try out the new characters but how could I possibly level them up in a timely manner if all I have is 50K?

The PTB takes your progress from a few days ago. So if you got those BP just recently, you will not have them on the PTB.
I honestly never really understood why they don't just give you infinite bloodpoints on the PTB. The point is to test things out, but if you have to spend a bunch of time unlocking stuff you don't really have time to try it out. Plus i don't have much incentive to play a lot because my progress doesn't carry over.
