Here are some of my best storys:

4 man swf blamed me for slugging while they all had (It was obvious) DS.

Another swf flamed me for camping during EGC while they were hookswarming. I killed them all :) I tried to have a civil discussion with them, but they weren't interested in it.

One survivor insulted me for ending a round quickly. Yeah sure buddy, your whole team played bad. I didn't enjoy the steamroll either, but I was not interested in extending a boring round.

Oh and I remembered this gem "You only got me because you used your power." Uh.. okay?

Once people figure out, where I'm from, the salt usually gets really spicy.

What power did you have? If it was deathslinger I might understand... but he needs his power like Nurse needs hers.

This is my favorite. I was new to using nurse. Had played maybe 5 or 6 games with her. Get sent to hawkins and I hit this chick, she gets away. I chase another chick hit her and she gets away. Then i see this girl healing with NC and I managed to blink on top of her and down her. Needless to say she wasnt happy dc'd. First time I got a 4k with the nurse. I have no idea how this makes me a coward 😂

The fact you were playing nurse on Xbox is a testament to your character. I cant stand playing as her... but then again I am in red ranks, so maybe it would be easier at lower ones (idk what rank you are)?

Hag would not be my first choice. Also, I don't have to use the perk. If the killer is Hag, I can choose to die instead.

You realize that half the female killers are essentially living corpses, right? : /

Same. It was hard coming up with my third perk, though.

    Adept with one, not others...

That might be what I'd call it, but yours is decent too. I like the concept of just being good at one thing but sacrificing heal potential. : )

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

How does everyone have such good ideas when i can't even think of a perk name lmao

Well, first come up with what the perk does, then pick a word or phrase (maximum of 4/5 words) that describes it best. That's how I do it, anyway...

  • @Elk said:

    Elk

    Monophobia

You are frightened by being alone. You don't want to be left behind! You feel safer near others...

When in the presence of other survivors within a distance of 8 meters. Your walk, crawl, crouch and sprint speed are increased by 4/6/8%. This effect persists on you for 5 seconds after leaving the 8 meters range.

"I don't want to be alone....I need to catch up to them"-Elk

    No time to rest

You need to help your team

Heal downed teammates 20/25/30% faster when you are in the killer's terror radius. If not in radius you heal 5/10/15% faster.

"You have to get up! We can't stay here any longer"-Elk

    Token of Friendship

Giving something to others grows bonds

When you drop an item and another survivor picks it up, the perk activates. When the other survivor holds the item you dropped you both see each other's aura until that survivor drops the item.

"Here! We got to help each other in order to win...right?"-Elk

You are far more optimistic of others than I am, based on your perks. I like the concept of Token of Friendship. : )

  • I would have more... selfish perks. I am a loner and prefer stealth and prioritize distraction and tricks to actually facing the killer head on (even though that is one of my favorite perks).

    Perks:

    No Trust:

You have an inherent mistrust of others, and tend to be more cautious. If other survivors are within a radius around you, actions overall are slower, however, there are less skill checks. When you are by yourself, your action speed is accelerated for repair, cleansing, chest searching, and door activation., and there are more skill checks.

“Why would I trust you? All you do is hide, leave your team behind, and lure the killer to me... Give me a reason to leave you to the wolves, like you would do to me...” - Raven

    I Won't Make This Easy.:

Exploring the world gave you creative ideas, at first used for art, but now ones that you now use to create traps to aid in your survival.

When you search a chest, you will gain a token. You can use one to set up a trap in a locker. You must go into a locker to begin construction (taking similar amount of time to Inner Strength). Once done, leave the locker, and when the killer is in the TR it will give a notification. Other survivors cannot access that locker during its uptime. All it would do is jump scare the killer and stun them for 3 seconds (if the killer opens the locker), in an animation that appears to jump at them, but the killer dismantles it in unique animations. The killer can hear the mechanism from outside if they are listening closely, so they can avoid it.

“These killers will have to work for their kills this time...” - Raven

    Midnight Lullaby:

Music is a source of motivation for you. Hearing music in the environment, even from the screams of dying hope, gives you energy to keep moving on.

For every survivor hooked, you gain a token. For every token you can see the aura of totems and doors within 10 meters away. Stackable to 8. Hatch visibility is reduced to 10% of total aura range (Max range is 80 meters, which is most of the map, depending where you are. That means you can see all totems, doors, and even the Trapdoor if you're in a range of 8 meters to it.)

“Kill me? I'd like to see you try, You take my life, I fail to die. The night will fall, and swallow light, so sing my undead lullaby...” - Raven

  • Well, it happens toward both sides. I try to be moderate but even then I get called a killer main and ignored.

The main problem with your argument, and I'm just going to be honest about this, is that face camping isn't the same thing as DS. For one, they are treated very differently by the majority of people:

Facecamping: Often talked down as a good thing, as in, there are far more people who talk about this as a bad thing. Most people even describe as toxic. On top of that, It will not help you get wins. If you camp, survivors can easily get all gens done as well as trade, since they are free to do what they want. They also have perks to counter this: BT and DS.

DS: Encouraged, used, and forces one side to play in a particular way. Add to the fact there can be 4 of them in a single game, it makes it very unfortunate to go against. Sure, they have it once, but it can be very versatile and game changing. It can stop a killer snowball, punish them even if they left you alone... it is a really good perk. Too good for its effect.

The only reason I can think of those responses are because killers are the harder role to master. It requires planning, action, understanding and proper use of killer powers, and map knowledge. Survivor needs to know how to: loop structures (a bug that the devs ran with), hit skill checks, and... thats it? You have the easy role. And there are 4 of you at once...

I would love for the survivor vs. killer mentality to go away, but that is not going to happen for the moment... just because of how game balance is right now.

  • This is kind of why I was against DC timers on Xbox. There are already too few killers, forcing them to play against players like this really doesn't help retain them...

  • Interesting concept. Might be a tad too strong, but I would rather see it in practice first.

  • The main priority with Plague is to get everyone sick. They will break in time. Sure, you can speed up the process with the one you are chasing if you want, but if you can get your hits in, do so.

She is similar to Micheal or Ghostface. They have to stalk to get a one hit, same with the infection.

Keep in mind that with the last buff to Plague, survivors can't afford to genrush while broken, so Corrupt Purge is not going to be a problem anymore.

She is a... different killer. I don't think I have spent enough time as her to know everything, but I know enough to do decently... I think she is in a good spot for now.

first of all, it's not 10 innocents for 1 guilty. the dc problem was much more than a 10 to one.. it was more like 10 dcs to 5-7 non intententional dcs. but people look for ways around this as posts like this always show. "I can't possibly have my internet intentionally disconnect" "video of streamer reaching over to their router and turning it off" (not a real situation but it can be and it's been questionable at times). This is the problem with this no one here knows where the problem really lies, to be honest I know it has caused a rise of first hook kills but you know what? that isn't cheating. cheating is using any means outside of the rules to gain advantage or change in game that benefits you or is a detriment to the others in the game. So disconnecting was done to circumvent the ranking system when it worked (by deranking faster) so you'd be matched against easier opponents. and it utilized a command outside of the match functionality where as struggling or choice not to struggle as well as trying to get off the hook are all possibilities in the match!

I modified the saying to make it relevant. Doesn't take away from the point. What a great mindset to have.

That isnt cheating. Well you are right, it is not cheating, but the spirit of what the survivor wants is still there. They still get to leave the game early, and they screw over their teammates. And keep their points. The purist win/lose scenario for everyone but the hook suicider.

?? Except that he can down injured survivors with his gun when he brings them in???

He still has to down them with a basic attack. His gun, like Legion Frenzy, cannot down people alone.

People never seem to read what I am actually saying when I type...

  • @Entity_Hugs said:

Sorry. I'd rather get a softban for my PC freezing, and know that real DCers are being punished, then deal with everyone DCing at will.

Look at these forums; people will DC if you play 60%% of the Killers (Killers aren't allowed to play anyone even slightly good). Or run any ONE of 10 good perks (only Survivors are allowed good perks). Or if they get a certain maps, as in more than one map can cause DCs. Or if you down them too fast...

If there was no DC penalty, people would leave the game for good because they'd have 1 good match out of 10. The other 9 would have someone disconnect, then someone ELSE because now it's harder to win, then the third person because now it's impossible to win, then the FOURTH because why not?

So sorry; DC penalties are needed. If people get hit with a false positive sometimes, that's just too bad. The game would fall apart if people could DC at will.

So you would punish 10 innocents in case you get 1 real quitter instead? That is a healthy mindset.

Another issue I see with this argument: People on the forums are nothing like in game. These people here are really... whiny... whereas people I actually play with don't really care (they do, they just don't whine). Maybe that is an Xbox thing, but I don't think so. I think a minority of people actually stay on the forums.

It would only fall apart because they made their game unfun. Like old Ruin, DC penalties only cover up the issue, not fix it (the issue this case being general game balance for fun). And, on top of that, they encourage people to kill themselves on hook instead, which is just a work around. If people want to leave, they will find a way to do it.

  • This is a killer wide issue and happens on Xbox as well.

If you want to use the addon but worry of bad maps then use a map offering?

You shouldn't need a map offering to use a red addon. Michaels mirror is a different story, just because that is more a build than an addon. But Ultra Rares should not make a killer worse than their base, but equal to it. Just different to normal gameplay, but equal.

Ruin never was witch hunted and are you going to tell me 5 blinks nurse was balanced?

And this is DBD community what can you expect?

Well, that part is true. Just putting a perk with similar power there for comparison. And I was more referring to Nurse Basekit than the addons. She didn't need the basekit cooldown.

I guess both types of mains just need to stop with petty quarrels and work on proper balance instead. : P

My issue, is that there is a current and obvious witch hunt against Decisive Strike. Not everyone runs it, not everyone uses it. But the second someone doesn't allow a killer to tunnel they get whiny and come to the forums and complain on how they lost a kill because of 1 person running it.

Is it that difficult to keep tabs on 1 person that has it? Just slug them, it's ONE person.

Can you count to 60? Can you move on to the next survivor instead of the one trying to get your attention by jumping in and out of a locker to try to bait the DS? See, it's the survivors job to waste your time, if you choose to down them AND pick them up, that's your fault.

    Their doing their part.

Oh, reminds you of, I dunno, when Nurse and Spirit were went after with the same fervor? Yeah, really makes you think, doesn't it...? Same with Ruin... because survivor needed to be easier... yeah, that is a great idea...

Close it if we get to it in time. How we suppose to hook a survivor then cross map to hatch and then close it before they jump it? They're camping next to it. Please explain how am I suppose to close it from other side of map?

You could slug for the 4k, if you really want it.

  • The only time I ever consider it is if these survivors are going to win toxically if I play nice. So, I have to create some breathing room and remove one from the game. I usually try to play fair by default.

That, or they struck me with DS when I didn't tunnel them down. The amount of versatility that perk has is ludicrous.

  • I mean, that is kind what the player is inferred to be when playing...

Susie gets the most love actually, we just need more frank and julie skins per say, that are actually good.

There are only 3 outfits for Suzie (none of which are Ultra Rare), Frank and Julie technically have more than that. But I agree. All legion members need more outfits.

  • I hate people who rush me with the killer behind them. If they have BT, then I might forgive them, but if they bring a bubba back to hook without... after they are the ones that baited me out to being on the hook in the first place? Yeah, no mercy on them in the future.

  • Looks like Slender, but I think @luka2211 is correct. It may well be a prop designed to throw you off. The game should do that more often, tbh. Keep you on your toes...

  • I already had a Slender: The Arrival Chapter. I will link it below.

    @Raven014 said:

    Chapter: The Arrival:

Now, unlike some people, I do think a certain character can make their debut in DBD without issues.

Chapter Theme: A mix of No Friends and DBD theme.

    The Killer: The Slenderman:

Lore: Long rumored to be a folk tale under many names: The Tall man, the child taker, the spirit of the forest... the Slenderman... his name has echoed through history. Now he stalks the realm of the entity, and those he preys on have no hope of escape.

    Default Movement speed: 140%

    Killer Kit:

    Passive: Static Image

This passive allows Slender to put up pages around the map (On gens and totems). This effects the game in a few ways. One, it gives bloodpoints to both the killer and survivors. Two, Survivors will pull the page off before starting the action (less effective on gens but effective for totems). Three, you gain a notification when a page is taken.

Four, pages cause hallucinations that Slender can teleport to, as well as linger. At 0 pages, he is completely invisible. At 1, he can only have hallucinations at a fair distance, and they get closer at a slow rate. For each page, the spawning distance decreases substantially. Before 5 pages, he can strike rapidly, which disincentives survivors not gathering pages to avoid unnecessary hits (i.e. Jumpscares), while at 5, he can strike normally, but he will have a distortion effect even harder to read than the Spirit's. At 6, he will start to move like the Spirit, with distortions between them. At 8 he will look normal, with Hallucinations still appearing. This is when he's at his strongest and you will be exposed at this point.

Pages also cause a debuff to all survivor actions for each survivor. A 90% debuff with no pages collected, and +10% increase to action speed for each page, with the downside that they are making the killer more powerful.

However, survivors cannot escape without getting all pages. Not even through the Hatch. Each survivor must collect all 8 themselves. They only secure their own escape.

    Secondary Passive: Anti-corn blindness:

Since he's the tallest killer, he will never be affected by corn maps in the same way most killers are. More of a joke passive, tbh.

    Active abilities:

    Proxy Trap:

By pressing active ability button, you can manifest one of your past proxies to attack any survivor who approaches the locker they are near. The will jump out, perform an animation (Kate would do her scratching, Toby would attack with hatchets... etc...) and the survivor would receive one state of damage (healthy to injured, and injured to dying). Borrowed time will activate because of this. DS can be activated if the trap would put into the dying state to negate that attack.

If a survivor Runs into a locker, there will be a sound of a proxy attacking the survivor, before the survivor is ejected out.

    Scattering Pages:

The killer can choose where to place pages. This would place a page on a highlighted area (can be a wall, object, or locker).

    Hallucination or Reality?:

He can teleport with the secondary button press. If he teleports, he has a small window to strike a survivor (Standard melee attack like a hag trap).

    Perks:

    Survivor's Obsession:

Survivors who have seen you have your image burned to their head. Hallucinations will appear to move toward them for 10/8/5 seconds before disappearing after they see you for the first time. They will scream in response.

    Horror's Past:

Those who linger too long will experience a horrifying moment of the location's past. Survivor's who stand still/stay in one place/are afk will see a scene of a killer mori'ing a survivor (the killer of the match). This is a hallucination, but they cannot move for the duration. They will scream in terror when it ends.

    Haunting Shadows:

The light may be your ally now, but it is always night in the trials. Pits of shadow spawn sporadically, restricting movement through the map. If left unattended, Survivors will have entire swaths of the map impossible to traverse (24m, 28m, 32m). These can be burned away by a flashlight or by the light of finished generators.

    Mori:

He uses two of his tendrils to pick up the struggling survivor by the arms, and then uses more to stab from multiple directions up through the lower torso. The struggling ceases after a moment, in which the survivor dies, and he drops them to the ground.

Terror Radius/Chase Music: Flicker: Slender: The Arrival Soundtrack (I mean, listen to this then tell me it wouldn't be a good chase music for him).

    Survivor: Lauren:

Lore: Lauren is one of a few to have lost family to the Slenderman and survive... until she went missing during a wildfire in the woods a decade later. Armed with the truth of the horror she saw, she brings a new item, the camera, to document and understand the killers of the fog better in order to escape better.

    Perks:

    Understanding:

Understanding the killer is one of the best ways to counter them. After watching the killer for 120/100/80 seconds, their method of killing will become known to you.

If this involves traps, you will be able to notice them better.

If this has a charge bar, you can see the bar for it flash on screen when they use it near you.

You will see the Duration of Myer's T3

However, addons like Logwood Dye and Tar Bottle, Rusty Shackles will counter this perk. Addons that effect charge times for abilities will not show any change to you.

This does not work with the Clown, Huntress, Micheal Myers T2 progress, Nurse's Blinks, Freddy's Teleport, Legion's Recharge, GF recharge, or Demogorgon's Charge.

    Record:

Recording the killer can help you show others their weaknesses. Allows you to have a camera. After using half of a camera's charges, you can use the camera to reveal the aura of traps in the vicinity.

A camera is a new item added to the game. Half the charges must be used filming the killer or their belongings for the effect to take place. This will show the auras of traps and totems in an 8/10/12 m radius of the survivor (for the perk, but the item by itself would be just 8m). Addons can change the rate/amount of charges/ and radius of the effect.

Using it would be aimed like a flashlight.

    Pain of Loss:

You know what it's like to lose those you consider dear to you. For every survivor death near you (20m or less), gain a token. For every token, you can shrug off one lethal hit (one that would put you in the dying state).

When you lose a token, you will receive the deep wounds effect and cannot lose another token in that chase.

    What does everyone think?

    Edit: Added relevant music.

The only (major) problem is that you do not offer a power or idea for them to use, and balance it in game/with perks. I would appreciate if you could check out mine though.

  • Julie also doesnt have any really good ones either... And neither does Suzie... But Jeff needs some too.

  • Or... if someone is bugged (and not moving), you could have a 4th crow call on the entity and kill the survivors. That is a simple fix.

  • Huntress technically laughs while singing...

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

This threads shows exactly why this game is so annoying. But hey, its always the survivors fault. LOL

Well, which side is known for their Rules killers must follow?

In this case it is just entitlement. Its equitable for a killer demanding they get a 4k just because they brought a mori.

  • This is why I think DS should stop working if you work on a gen. You are clearly not being tunneled if you are safe enough to work on a gen in peace.

  • For Survivor:

Exhaustion perks, Second chance perks, and survivor items. I can survive just fine without relying on those. When I do try to use some perks I realize why I don't like them, same about items. I might see myself using a medkit, but I see it any item as more of a crutch/waste than anything else.

    For killer:

Thanatophobia on Legion. Any time I try to use it to the best of its ability, it seems to do nothing. People see that it is there and heal really quickly, making its effects worthless.

STBFL on Deathslinger. Seems like a waste of a perk. Most of the time I can end chases quickly without it.

  • People really underestimate him. He can be very good if people underestimate him and where he can shoot. He can even shoot through shack wall (through the holes in the sides), and it is good to catch people with that.

On the other hand, Ormond is a huge irritation, as well as other big maps...

Id say learn him so you can do the daily, at least. If you don't have fun, then at least you tried him out...

If all survivors were being stealthy then no, they couldn't. Once you hook someone, you have BBQ. It's game over for "stealth survivors" who can't loop.

BBQ only does it for 4 seconds. And survivors can figure out if he has it and use the 1 of 7 counters against it. Its really not the strongest of perks... yet people still complains.

Okay Imma start off with your question since it's the most simple and rudimentary to answer.

My point is that killers are mostly fun. My problem was with one specific game mechanic that made my experience worse than versing any other killer. I came on the forums, shared my opinion and that is that.

    Second,

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1256214#Comment_1256214

That unique/stale argument is pretty dull at this point.

If the devs were so keen in uniqueness, they would've made all the survivors unique as well in the game's inception.

Like I said, killers are fun to verse (most of them anyway).

Sure, some get tiring such as the Doctor or even the Spirit, but they at least have to walk like how rest of the cast in the game has to.

Teleporting is pretty difficult to counter and it's nearly dang impossible since all survivors can do is... idk... RUN...

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1256213#Comment_1256213

You know, at least write smth useful or at least be smart with your cynicism.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1256218#Comment_1256218

Other killers can do the same. Applying pressure.

Teleporting is just a way they move around the map, but it sucks to fight against it.

Hag can put traps, see surv's auras and teleport to that place at the same time.

Freddy has his own little world with floor traps, fake palettes, dumb crowd control and a stupid telephone thing that survivors must go to. + a teleportation.

They have lots of abilities yet they still can teleport. Teleporting is pretty cheap imo and you can agree or disagree all you want.

Actually, as @MadLordJack pointed out, Demo and Nurse travel fast, while Hag and Freddy teleport. You can still juke all of them if you see them teleporting.

Survivors being unique is not necessary for the gameplay to be unique. A killer has to learn how to counter every survivor mechanic/perk, imagine passives and such. Survivors have to the same with killer perks/mechanics. It would mess up the tedious balance there is within the game. There can only be so many random elements. Making survivors consistent is a good thing. There is only 1 killer, but 4 survivors. Having 4 survivors with their own mechanics, plus perks, plus keeping track of DS and what perks they have... balancing nightmares.

Still, it is better for killers, who are going against 4 people every match, to have an inherent advantage against every 1 survivor.

  • The cutscene from last Rift showed that he was african american...

He was originally Asian surprisingly but In China they wouldn’t allow him to be Asian bcux the Doctor is based off a Chinese Serial killer so China made the devs change it so they’re game wouldn’t be banned from China

And that is just chinese corporatism. Cant have a Chinese man look bad, no sir.

  • I think this mechanic should not tie the balancing of 2 killers to a survivor perk. That is all. I wouldn't call it terrible, but it is more survivor sided than it could be.

  • @Kolossoni said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1256163#Comment_1256163

"It would make every killer feel stale"

    That's a silly argument.

Survivors are technically the same thing altogether (not to mention stale), but they don't fly across maps.

"if you're not going to explain why I guess we should just drop it."

Here's the answer you probably missed: "flying across maps is idea-wise stupid and should be prevented in a chase game."

It's a CHASE game, not a teleporting simulator.

What's the point in running and CHASING when you can hover/fly/teleport anywhere?

I mean, you do realize the four (especially the Nurse and Freddy) are practically frowned upon by the players to verse against right?

Like I said, the current four can keep their abilities, but more would simply make the game too difficult too counter.

It isn't though. I hate playing nurse, myself, but each way they make the killers is different to each other, and gives a variety of gameplay, which then allows for replayability. One can teleport to gens, which becomes less useful over time. Demogorgon has portals which can be closed (and he must go to one). They are each unique. They are unique, but limited. Killers actually have to get gud. I don't see why survivors shouldn't have to.

You can't equate killers and survivor because each killer has their own power. Survivors have the same core. Killers have similar cores, but must play with their power to win. Limiting the devs creativity just because you don't like teleporting killers is selfish on your part.

The objective is gens, not chases. Chases is a way for killers to slow gens, which is their true goal. This was never supposed to be a chasing simulator, but a survival horror game. Looping was just a bug they ran with. Sorry if you don't like the truth, but that is why we have the game today.

You do not explain why it is a silly argument. You just claim it is without evidence because you cannot debate this. You have no argument for why, and It just makes you look bad.

Nurse and Freddy... Nurse and Freddy both make survivors jobs much, much harder. Nurse ignores looping, while Freddy brute forces looping. Survivor mains don't like actually having to do well, they like coasting on their perks instead.

It isn't smart to prevent one player from playing the game, MOVING!!!!!

It is awesome how ya'll defend the hag, but if a survivor would body block the killer like this (if it still were possible)

I dont want to imagine the 100 comments of people flaming that surv in less than 1 hour.

Survivors flame killers, killers flame survivors... and round and around we go.

Give the perk an effect and then remove the bp stacks from it and bbq.

No. That eliminates most of its usefulness. The extra BPs are a godsend. You only get 12 uses of BBQ max, 11 of which are useful. Couple that with the 7 counters to it, and it's already on the verge of being Meh at best. Remove the BPs, and people wont have a reason to run it. You would not want that because BBQ helps combat campers (by encouraging killers to leave instead of secure a kill via camping).

And WGLF is designed for survivors to help out each other. It is easy to get max stacks, but I agree it needs something. Since the stack has a delay and the killer is most likely after you because you protected the unhooked survivor... Perhaps a different effect? Something like a short burst of speed when you get a stack or something? Not to the degree of spring burst, but something to make it more useful.

  • No. It would make every killer feel stale if they all played the exact same way. That, and only one uses it to actively catch people. Sure, Freddy could, but it has a hefty cooldown, Hag can only teleport if they trigger it, and Demo has to be in a specific spot to be able to use it... and has a loud noise.

All of them need a high amount of skill to use their teleport properly.

If you are caught off guard, then you just need to practice. Get gud.

  • The Souls series is fun. If you have a PS4, Bloodborne is amazing. Lots of action, and each game is different. It has multiplayer, too, so it has some staying power.

Valley by Blue Isle Studios is a great single player game. You explore a valley in an exo suit. I found it quite fun.

  • It seems that they are kinda greedy. They would rather sell cosmetics than make default ones. The original 4 has around a few sets, then the number dwindles to just a top. Zarina only got a scarf change. Not sure if it is the devs themselves or corporate in charge of that problem though.

oh i totally agree with you there it would be nice but unlikely to be fair legion needs more or less a rework :/ or some serious buff like being able to see blood when in frenzy or not losing 50% of your power if you m1 hit a survivor or reduce the deep wound time from 30 to 15 seconds to make it actually drangerous as if im correct BT has a 15 second time to heal from DW that is inflicted on you

Or an ambush/trap for map pressure would be nice.

It's not my fault their opinion was legitimately worthless.

"Facecamping isn't toxic." - I think we all know that something that completely disables a person from playing the game they paid for and queued for, just like you, while eliminating their ability to gain points and tanking their rank - completely outside of their control - is toxic. This isn't even a question up for debate. It's a fact.

"I am a believer that Killers in general are unable to be toxic." - both sides are fully capable of being toxic.Just because someone plays a Killer, which has an inherent sense of immorality, doesn't mean that as a player they cannot perform their functions in a toxic manner. This is a thinly veiled scapegoat for unsportsmanlike behavior, and a pretty pathetic one at that.

"If the Killer is Facecamping, leave them to it and go do gens." - this solution is barely viable and typically results in only 2 people escaping. Even then, they get terrible points and potentially depip because camping eliminates two significant objectives needed to generate points and pips for both side, but effects survivors more because their point structure is shared.

"...everything a Killer does can be countered by competent Survivors." - this is a fallacy. The most competent of survivors cannot do anything to save a teammate against an insta-down, face camping Killer. The idea of "just don't get caught", for how to avoid face camping, is the most ignorant statement someone can make. Killers are designed to catch survivors and survivors are designed to be caught. If the game didn't work this way, it wouldn't be very fun.

Nothing this person said was based in anything other than their own lack of empathy or conscience. I have no interest in really debating a narcissistic sociopath. This is, however, an open forum. Where I have every right to tell them their viewpoint failed to even meet the minimum requirements for consideration. 👍️

Well, you are not going to win anyone over who has an opinion that isn't in line with you. They will dismiss your opinion as much as you do with theirs. Making your contribution ultimately pointless.

Facecamping is a strategy. Not a fun or particularly good strategy, but it is in the game, and the devs are not going to change it. Is it toxic? Not really. Sure, one person doesnt have fun, but it isn't particularly fun for killer either (at least for me). I suppose it depends on the context. Early, Mid game? Definitely can be. Endgame with doors open? Not really. The killer is in a position where they just want at least 1 kill, and all they can do is try to defend it.

You are right there, both sides can be toxic, but it is much easier for one side to be toxic than the other, at least from my experience. The perks offered to survivors (second chance and exhaustion perks) give them the leeway to be toxic and use them toxically. Killers can't really do that. Sure, they can slug, but survivors have 2 perks to counter that, and an entire build that predicates being slugged (boil over, flip flop, Unbreakable, and tenacity). Sure, they can facecamp, but they have BT and DS. Sure, they can tunnel, but it isn't like it hurts them in the long run, especially since the survivor gets extra points, and the killer gets next to nothing in return if they are a good looper. And Sure, they have NOED Bloodwarden and moris, but survivors can counter that with a key/ disabling the relevant totem.

Not really. It takes 2 minutes for a hooked individual to die. That is 2 minutes free to do gens. Sure, 1 might be curious about the killer, but that is 2 people dedicated towards gens. That can get 2 gens done and another 2 halfway there.

Killers inherently prey on survivor mistakes. If survivors don't make mistakes, then killers can't take advantage of them. The only one who can is Nurse, who can force mistakes through brute force, but she is the exception, not the rule. Saying just don't get caught is just saying play more stealthily to avoid the worst outcome. Looping should not be the default, but the secondary tactic to rely on (at least in my opinion).

They may have a lack of empathy, but that alone should not discredit what they say. You claim he is all of these nasty things, but ad hominem attacks really only make you look bad (in a debate standpoint. It shows that you are forced to insult someone's personality/traits instead of actually debating what he is saying). Use this level of description in your reply to me instead of just insulting them outright.

  • I would rather have the perks balanced than removed (I hate when content we pay for is removed. It is why I don't play overwatch anymore). They seem to be just terribly balanced right now, at least for high level play.

As for a different objective, maybe, depends on what it is. You make it so vague... I would say you are comparing it to Hide or Die, since the new gameplay sounds like what you are proposing, but until you get specific, I'm not sure.
