Reminds me of identity V's Hell Ember killer.
But thats normal for multibody/ doll concepts.
I think its interesting that your dolls are no tracking tools ( highlighting survivors in dolls' area of effect) but are purely map pressure tools.
But they cannot be used in chases like hag phantasms because of the lengthy casting time.
And even if they had collision, it'd still take a lot of time to set up blocks.
In my opinion your concept is hatd to judge balanced or not, but unlike others (me included) you're thinking about survivor frustation too, which might be for the better
Now for some stupid suggestion ;-)
1.This killer would be awesome with basekit insidoous or if the dolls also had the stain and a small terror radius (8m, only low intensity so that'd it be still obvious if a bodyswap happens)
2. The dolls should totally play the bodyswap animation at random intervals to screw with nearby survivors
-
Nice analysis.
Also: after removibg a survivor fron the trap, or after they freed themselves, the traps change their position. Sometimes even getting stuck in objects or walls.
This phenomen happwning also nullifies the advantage of selfsetting traps.
The tar addo s definitely need to be looked at -

Might be wrong bzt wouldnt this allow survivors to get more pallets/ windows more easily in a chase? In a certain way yes, but killers would close the distance faster (with a speed of 126.5) and would have more map pressure, so it would compensate. Pallet and windows would probably be more necessary than ever in chases and loops wouldn't be as strong as now. It would be an interesting change to test in a PTB
If the base speed gets increased, and killers gets proportionally increased ( 110/ 126.5), then the time X to "catch up" to the survivor theoretically stays the same, while both sides cover more distance. The problem thus is that survivors get easier chances to utilise pallets ( more distance covered after window or pallet)
This would be worse if it'd be increased additionally (110/125).While map pressure might increase for everyone except nurse I still think both cases are survivor favored.

Its funny.I'm gonna go to hell for it but i like the puppy machine. (1459)
Theres also 978. ( awesome testing log)
Some asian artist did start a comic about some SCP, its being translated and uploaded to most manga sites.
The list of things Dr bright isnt allowed to do is hillarious.
Inb4 someone mention Procedure 110 montauk lol

I think except "the game" and "lampkin lane", every other map has 2 locations where the basement can spawn. Monstrous shrine spawning both basements would probably turn it into an (good?) Anti-sabotage perk.
Other than that, interesting choice for unrelenting, but survs would bomb any sort of sppedboost for killers.
Personally i think most perks that simply boost a stat (unrelenting or brutal as example) could habe some of their effect be put into base and then be completely reworked or removed

Still a bandaid perk fix to a base mechanic problem for killers.
Doesnt matter if stfs gets slight qol or minor buffs when the base still doesnt work regilarily -
Arent crows still that lethargic and barely useful without perk? Nit sure if buffing Sfts without touching the base crows was the best possible solution.
-
That would be balanced by 7 survivors being able to do whatever the hell they want while the two killers stick together to find and chase tht one survivor.
The moment the 2 killers stick together too much, or one of them actively stays and camps someone, they lose this gamemode, its that easy. -
Identity v has a 2v8 mode.
Survivors take 3 hits to down, have a gen speed penalty of 30%, need to do 7 gens and cannot be unhooked for 30seconds after first getting hooked.
Once ONE killer decides to camp its a gg for survivors. As swfs and genrush have taught us its simply more effective to spread out.
Those gangbang moments mostly jappen in the midlate to lategame.
EDIT: survs shouldvpay more attention if they get sandwitched between stuff. -
While there definitely is room for improvements for map count and selection, no way in hell should the selection be put into player hands.
Currently its like that in LY:N, and oh noy is the suurvivor favored map picked a lot. -
I think currently theres some bug that makes it impossible to pick up trapped survivors sometimes
-
BBQ did trigger genrush and looping, maade my day.

'Member the time there wasnt"hex" or "exposed".

You do know that M&A does REDUCE the terror radius when not in a chase?
Btw his own perk so workibg as intended. -
So that theyre getting rank forced to those rare actually good survivors or boosted swf's
-
Sorry but its completely balanced for the killer to get that free info he could get by observation himself. Afterall it is the same for survivors.
-
i think that would warrant a new realm instead of the estate ;P
But school would be nice. -
I think it shouldnt be like most games where you simply download stuff and suddenly every survivor has neon clothes.
If anything, DBD's workshop needs to go the Dota2 or TF2 route where the devs look into the workshop and make stuff official, after tweaking it to fit the game of course. This obviously applies more to Skins and complete playermade maps or characters, instead for say single buildings or simple Object designs ( barrels, crates, new trees). -
Have you ever faked a camping? Nodding on hooked survivors apparently makes them DC instantly.
-
depending on how such a killer works, theres plenty of counterplay... unlike charging or lunging, a jump cannot steer... much.
imagine a huntress that slows down/ crawls while winding up and then shoots herself instead of a hatchet.
that'd be the 1 jump killer (L4D Hunter for example)Imagine a nurse that cannot go through stuff, boom another version how this kinda could work.
both stuff easily balanced even in current gamestate
-
I guess some think of his kit as bland, "you turn invisible and thats it, lol", it's not really complicated.
still think he gets slowed down a bit too much during reappearance, but who am I to balance this game. And now that a similiar Killer has appeared, they need to make sure they still stay different.Bingbong my opinion may be wrong, but he's one of those easily acessible killers that can turn dangerous in proper hands.

Or maybe instead of making dead by daylight 2 they will just remake most of game mechanics and become dead by daylight 2.0 and who want to play old game can play using the beta option to dead by daylight 1.0 or they add steam workshop so everyone can make custom map, perks or even killer and survivor(i think the steam workshop idea is good when they stop support the game and just collecting the most voted mod to become official thing)THey should make it like TF2 where the DEVS look at the workshop stuff, tweak it and then release it as official. In this game there shouldn't be free downloadable custom content or skins, because it'd be way too biased.
DBD still has space for growth or improvements, if they did anything like a rework of DBD, they should do it like Final fantasy XIV did it, after the 1.0 version flopped.
-
It might be good to have such a gamemode so that competetive players don't have to always recreate lobbies, but the bigger problem with this game is defining who actually won a trial. In this game its currently that both teams "kinda can win" at the same time.
Are Kills, Bloodpoints or Emblems the criteria for winning etc.
Look at the mess some of the current tournaments are ;P -
Maybe shouldn't be like "The Game" but more like Lery's with focus on only 1 floor.
-
Alternatively you could wait until the perk appears in the "Shrine of Secrets" in the Shop section of the game.
there are weekly 4 "RANDOM" perks to unlock for all your characters with shards.I think BBQ has been there once.
-
One of those perks that should just be deleted and remade into the basekit.
-
-Hunter from L4D
-Some dude who was into parkours
(sadly those two would be legion design clones by now T_T)
-Werewolf
I think if you check the WIshlist/ Fan creation subforums, you're bound to find one of those "dash / jump / climber killer" suggestions.theyre mostly about jumping ontop of the "pallet loop debris" and then having a lunge attack from up there.
Heck, even I had one of such suggestions on the old steam forums.>

A RAPTOR KILLER! Great suggestions!
Made me chuckle.

Trustworthy Patches says "Hi, look, theres a nice purple Flashlight down that basement! other survivor proceeds to get surprise-Leatherface'd
-
Alternatively it could slowly regenerate on each survivor individually.
-
Why and more importantly why not?
Its a nice idea. -
So after hooking a survivor a random generator is blocked off for 30 seconds? Sounds reasonable.

My_Dude said:Also he was going no perks, or add ons.
A fully kitted out doc would have had the control needed to slow the game down.
True but i believe even if the killer doesnt have perks or add-ons even at rank the killer should still have decent amount of control but killers are far to dependent on add-ons and perks
Exactly. Killer needs addons and perks. And still can get stomped if survivors play optimal
Do you believe that killers base abilities need to be stronger in order to combat against rank 1s and swf groups?
Wouldnt hurt testing that, but will never be tested on all killers at once , so it'd take multiple years.
-
Because nits working as intended and gives you 10 seconds of immunity.
-
I think the traps are weak for the limited amount of traps you have.
You have 4, for the complete trial, only useable on survs who might die on a hook 10-90 seconds later, only having noticeable weak effects when used with addons, with most addons focusing on those very limited traps.
They should be stronger, they should be dangerous to survivors.
Most survivor ignore them and rush their gens until the beeping starts.
They should habe some basic debuffs that stack with whatever the addons add. -
All score events are displayed. Like it or not.
And i really hope you're not suggesting to remove "notifications of stuff you could notice yourself" for killers. If you cannot comprehed whats wrong with that, you'd be a "survivor main" -
I think it lohical that sirvs shouldnt get a warning that didnt happen, no double damage, no exposed warning
-
Bhvr sued for making a killer look like a generic representation of japanese folklore?
Not every yureii or unryuu is a sadako, kayako or samantha ripoff lol. -
Its kinda funny the "repair speed debuff" still has no name.
-
Blindness as an effect could be stronger itself.
Some people dont even notice their missing auras.
Important stuff still has the bubbles. It could slightly distort and darken the edge of the screen for affected survivors ( like wraith or spirit, but more intrusive lol)
-
The perk is working as intended
-
Survivors get too much of such information. But will probably ot be removed.
-
"Strongman" aka leatherdaddy trapper.
-
Wasnt there some battery addons with some sort of flavour text about heavy duty batteries only lasting mere seconds?
Its probably not a proplem wheter they work or not, but if the entity wills it so.
-
I could understand looking at IV for inspiration, but LY is uncompatible in my opinion.

IV's stuff dbd could look at :
-killer side abilities, secondary abilities (with cooldowns, rejoice fans of the newer killers) available to every killer like a sentry ward, a short blink in viewing direction, a teleport to generators or active hooks, the ability to "instantly regress a gen by X% OR repair a hook", oh and a listening ability for mapwide tracking.
-blatantly rip off their killers ( lol ) or get inspiration. Cant do something wrong with a pudge hook.
-real seasons and ranking?
-dwight in a maid dress. -
Wow , I was expecting more "op" answers.
Might be worth testing, but shouldnt take more time than kicking a gen. But if trapper can set a beartrap with one hand he might aswell take the hook and stick it back up. -
Oh right theres a certain type of killer that ive discussed on both steam and here... Their weapon were hunting dogs.
-
Some sort of claw weapon would be nice,
Like the beastclaw from bloodborne or the talon of turok. The wristblade of turok would be nice too, much bigger than pigs.
Some twohanded blade, be it some real swords or some improvised scrap. Although an executioner with sword would be nice.
While we're at it, glasshard is often requested in killer concepts. Some hot glowing fire poker might be funny too.
The giant scissors or boltcutters would allow for some gory mori.
(Totally would like a killer based on this guy lol) -
I didnt watch the video and only skimmed your perks, but it doesbt change the fact that any of those perks would get stacked in a swf ro rush or troll the killer.
SWF is not about doing generators together. -
There cannot be strong "solo surv" perks simply because swf would use them 2-4x but with added efficiency because theyre "coordinated unlike randoms". Good swfs only group up as the situation requires but spend most of the trial spread out.
