You can’t “miss” though if you use it preemptively to create distance to make it to a pallet or window before the killer even has a chance to swing, that’s the real issue with the perk
A lot of people that talk about Dead Hard have little to no idea regarding its optimal use.

He's been deleted from the game - I've played exactly 2 Deathslingers since his nerf, one of which dc'ed.
I used to play him a bit, but now I reroll his daily 100% of the time.

Survivor Ques take like 5 minutes at night, and during the day like 2 minutes. But my solo Q matches are pretty much the same before this MMR system got enacted. Half of my matches I get placed with mindless teammates. And the other half with more or less, survivors who actually have a functioning brain. But I genuinely am not interested in having a need to escape each round, so I don't get mad at not escaping. But that explains why my teammates make simple mistakes often, since I'm at a casual MMR in the survivor side, since I don't escape often believe it or not. But what frustrates me about solo Q is the simple mistakes, I'm not expecting a sweat squad. Just a team that has people who actually can think. Because after playing for 1000+ hours, I even to this day still get shocked at the plays some survivors make. So as others have said it's not really the killers, it's really the mindless solo Q teammates. Sure at high MMR solo Q survivors perform better, but I'm not putting the effort to get to high MMR in solo Q LMAO. Now on the killer side, it's the complete opposite 😂. It's super easy to get to high MMR all you have to do is get 4 sacrifices for like 5 matches and boom. Next thing I know I'm getting placed vs. sweat squads, which is not my cup of tea since I'm not playing to sweat.
I don't sweat as survivor either, I just try to have fun.

again, dead hard now is working as used to before servers. so now since you have validation u dont get exhausted on the ground that often as before... the perk is just working as intended.
Yeah - Losing my Pig Dash 0.25s into it when I should be able to keep going through their I-Frames and hit them when Dead Hard ends doesn't really seem 'intended'.

No, cross-play on, EU late at night usually because I literally can't play any other time (late at night meaning, gone midnight)
My survivor queues are like 2-3 minutes most times, max.

Solo Q is almost always a slaughterhouse. I genuinely play survivor expecting to lose and if the gates are opened it is a celebration. Killers need nerfed so solo Q is winnable and fair game mode.

Playing Twins in today's speedy games is like throwing due to their long stun + travel time.

I can get why some people could become irrational due to how bhvr action that they took or haven't took to ensure the playerbase is happy but insulting people won't help.
The only way to make thing happen is by giving criticism or take a stance and either leave the game till they fix the problem or don't spend anything in the in-game store and dlc. Another would be a high figure spreading some light on a action that could be considered bad.
Even i whom hate bhvr for all it action they've done that made the game worse in anyway isn't insulting them because it would ruin my credibility and the people im insulting wouldn't hear to what i have to say or wouldn't consider my criticism valid. The one thing i did was criticised the bhvr albeit with anger didn't just insult them, i just left. I only here just to watch and maybe comment on the balance or optimization or whatever happen to catch my eye untill vhs come out.
Anyone that becomes irrational over playing video games/game balancing probably shouldn't be playing video games to begin with.

Perks like brutal strength, shadowborn, unrelenting. I feel like there are plenty of QoL perks that I’m not seeing any killers use. Are people that committed to the 4K they feel the need to run the same build over and over? Do you feel the current survivor meta doesn’t allow for non gen regression perks?
I actually think that Corrupt + Deadlocked + 1 or 2 endgame perks is better and more engaging than gen regression on certain killers.
I'd seen a few streamers run similar builds, decided to try it out, and it was surprisingly effective.
It basically trades potential regression for guaranteed time.

It's just coincidence that those insults are usually aimed at BHVR staff. :p
Blatant insults should not be tolerated regardless of who the target is.

Contrary to popular belief, nobody gets banned for speaking about BHVR - that's just what people say when they don't want to say the truth about why they got banned.
People get banned for breaking the forum rules and throwing insults around.
I know I hassle you guys/gals over stuff a fair bit and I am still here!
People just need to treat each other ok and learn to present their views in a digestible manner.
I don't think people realize that their post histories can have a huge impact on the sort of engagement/treatment they get from other users.

I started off as Killer only way back when - It really helps with playing Survivor, imo

Idk whatever mmr I'm in but usually I escape like 2/10 matches...
And even though I think I'm definitely in low mmr, this week I played against a supposed 13th Nurse in the world by claims on his stream...
So idk what's going on with mmr... I lost so much yet the quality of killers are way better than my average Solo Q team.. and I mean, literally people urban evading all the map
I've only seen that (Urban Evasion all game) a few times in several years.
I don't doubt it, though - I was literally running around a map earlier today for the full duration trying to find a Glyph....Got all my teammates killed, found the Glyph, and Killer gave me Hatch because they probably thought I was Day 1 :P

I agree, solo isn't nearly as bad as people think.
I tend to bring Kindred and Borrowed Time as standard, but the other two change all the time, or as needed for challenges. Usually don't even run an exhaust perk, and if I do, it's Head On.
I'm still tethered to Exhaustion perks :(
I think with the buff to WOO, though, it's not too hard to chain tiles without one.

Usually my solo Q has only one dead Usually someone I can save but I see them being toxic I ditch them, I am Killer main, but I won't save people who have to be toxic. But past that my matches are only super bad whenever a survivor swf or solo don't want to deal with a specific killer all dc killer found hatch, I die or just teabag in place and eat💩 you know. The yummy stuff.
Oh, I play very selfish at times, particularly if escape is within reach.
Sometimes I'm very altruistic though (Second Wind build).

Because it's not purely dependent on ping.
A survivor could have 100 ping, the killer could have 20 ping...but if the survivor did the action first and early enough then it would count first - it's what information the server receives first...in those circumstances if the survivor did the action the same time as the killer, then the killers action would count first due to lower ping.
Any plans on addressing Dead Hard eating Pig Dash and Billy Dash (there are other powers eaten, but these are the most damaging imo as you used to be able to reposition with Pig for a potential hit with the same dash or an M1 after cooldown/continue saw or change direction for better positioning and map pressure as Billy)?
Any plans on checking into it eating other powers?

Which is 5 seconds they're walking at 2.26m/s, covering a total of 11.3m instead of the usual 20 (a difference of 8.7m). For reference, in those 5 seconds, the killer will be moving at 4.4m/s or 4.6m/s, allowing them to cover 22m or 23m respectively. While this doesn't sound like much, it will enable a killer to catch up a lot faster, assuming both sides do nothing but hold forward and the survivors leave the generator as soon as they hear the heartbeat.
In a game where every second counts, 5 seconds of moving at half speed every time you're chased off of a generator, particularly with Hex:Ruin active (near the start of the game, usually), is very beneficial to getting early game pressure.
Math....not even once!
It's pretty apparent that you're both playing different games, given their reply.

lol well I'm the one typing the message, so you can assume every opinion or take that I give is according to me.
and to me, solo Q survivor is not even 10% as stressful as Killer.
You're now claiming "more people move from survivor to Killer". According to who? I gave an opinion, now you are straight up making facts you cannot prove...
Solo Q is still mad easy.
I play Solo and Killer - 50/50 (probably more Solo due to challenges).
I usually get 20k+ and an escape (escape ~60% of the time).
I'm assuming you know, but most people actually switch off from killer to survivor because it is way less demanding/stressful (requires less mechanical skill, time management, etc).
There's a few people in this thread that post the same things in every topic - Just because they say it a lot doesn't mean it holds any weight at all.

How is it good on someone who has to go at molasses speed to qualify as a stealth killer, if I may ask? Of all the stealth Killers in the game, Pig's is by far the worst, and having to leverage it seems like a bad idea IMO.
Its usefulness is not tied exclusively to her stealth.
Most killers can benefit from it.
5s of exhaustion any time you approach or push someone off a gen is huge.
I don't think I'm capable of changing your mind at all, sorry.
-
@TAG said:
Would you recommend it for Pig? I've tried it before and have always felt very disappointed by it.
I've used it on Pig recently to great success - I think it's pretty good on any stealth or speed killer.
Corrupt + Deadlocked is also amazing on Pig if you have not tried it.
Corrupt + Deadlocked is pretty nuts in general, imo, as they're uncounterable and add literal minutes to games.

@Chilli_man2400 said:
I think I know what your talking about because with the perks overcome and the boon perks Fearmonger will block the auras and counter the new perk. It still won’t be good though cause your sacrificing a perk slot to counter a effect while you need gen defense
A lot of people aren't using any gen regression perks anymore and focusing on things that delay the game with minimal time investment from the killer.
Corrupt and Deadlock are both huge now, as are the "gate" perks like No Way Out / Remember Me / Blood Warden.
These strategies are usually played with Instadown/Ranged Killers / Add Ons which allows for quick chases without committing to protecting totems or using POP.

I get a lot more high/drunk people on my teams/in my games as the night goes on @_@
