I find Solo Survivor pretty chill and escape at least half of the time (probably more).

Thank you for the well wishes! You’re right about no quality sleep in hospitals, my thigh and tailbones hate me every time I move them. Thankfully, the staff has been phenomenal and has done everything they could to make it as easy and comfortable (except the one nurse who wants to keep cleaning me, her eagerness is just weird).
Thanks for the link, I’m a big fan of Samination and have fallen in love with his work years ago. Don’t feel bad about being old, I’m old too, it just means we’re seasoned!
Still rooting for/thinking about you!

After reading this thread I think the kill switch should just be pulled on the most popular (meta) survivor and killer perks to see how everyone gets on for a week or two lol. Would spice things up not having DH and other meta perks. So many arguments and strong opinions xD I'm a survivor main that doesn't use DH because I prefer zooming away from killers with lithe lol
It'd be nice to have a queue where random meta things are banned/killswitched in some kind of weekly rotation.

These are the interactions we need :3

@aperoni said:
But apparently it was fine when we were getting hit straight through it.
EDIT: And if you really want to fix all of the broken perks within the game, how about NOED or Rancor? But no, because that benefits you.
Once a survivor uses Dead Hard all you have to do is just get real close to them. I play my fair share of killer (while admittedly I enjoy survivor more) and once I learn someone has Dead Hard, they just looks like an idiot using it again. I don't fall for any of the mindgames and just either wait 'till I see them use it or get real close to them before hitting.
People act like killers can't just completely remove someone from a game if they wanted to. Especially Bubba, and there's nothing they can do about it. If you're getting facecamped by Bubba you're dead. So why can't survivors have a dash?
The usage of Dead Hard you're describing is its weakest use.
It can be used for distance to get to a pallet/window and extend a loop when you're not even within striking range, tacking on 30s+ to a chase with an action that is generally uncounterable.
If the people you play aren't using it to extend loops, they're not very good.

I’m sorry WHAT? Ah yes when chasing a survivor they always go the exact way I’m going giving me free downs instead of trying to get away from me.
Also don’t forget the 1 shot perks and addons. What are you talking about only prevents it for 1 instance can the killer only use their power one time per survivor? 😂😂 It only extends chase if the killer is bad enough to swing or when you time correctly with a loop. You can watch the best killer in the world OTZ and the best survivors in the world and then usually die with dead hard 2 seconds after using it and only rarely get any value out of it.
It's ok to be new.

Do you play killer because you should be zoning them away from loops?
Yes they dead hard at a loop if only there were killers that have mobility and one shot abilities that completely counter. I can but a complication of DH being more useless then useful.
I must admit, it really seems like you don't know what you're talking about.
Survivors lead chases, 1 hit down killers usually prevent one instance of Dead Hard, you think Dead Hard for distance only extends chases for 2s when it's universally known as one of the best chase extenders, etc.

That's not the point. You said it went from 'screw survivor' to 'screw killer'.
Is it really a problem when a SURVIVOR perk no longer 'screws the survivor'?
Yes, there are erroneous interactions due to false positive flags, like Nemesis' tentacle not breaking a pallet if it misses a DH survivor, and Victor should probably phase through a DH survivor instead of stopping on them, but he incurs a momentary stun either way, so Victor's probably lower on the issue list.
It's a problem when a perk doesn't work in a fair manner, as intended, regardless of who it benefits.

I think it should only be able to be used in the injured state. So healthy Survivors don’t use it to just pallet dash.

I assume whoever made the video obviously didn't have much proof of Dead Hard being an issue, since I just watched 1 minute and 30 seconds of a Plague getting her head slammed by pallets before I gave up watching it.

I watched the video before this post was even made
He keeps talking about killers who have "dashes" will simply stop if they get hit validated instead of continuing their dash like they did before, or projectiles being able to hit a Survivor because a Survivor behind them used Dead Hard.
Except this is not a new interaction, any time you hear a Survivor scream and they don't go down thanks to Dead Hard, they would of gone down Exhausted last patch, no projectiles going through them, or dashes either.
The only interaction that should be looked at is Nemesis', he should still be able to break a pallet if a Survivor Dead Hards
Everything I just said, Ive said numerous times so I ask you, did you read my post? Or you just talking #########?
You seem to have a hard time grasping the fact that DH shouldn't leave you exhausted on the ground AND it shouldn't eat powers.
You seem to be throwing quite the tantrum on top of that.

Ok my guy. You do you, and keep losing to DH. You payed for the game just like everyone else, and you have every right to lose however you'd like to.
You should probably submit your tips to Killer mains like Otz and Survivor mains like Aryun that both constantly laugh at the absurdity of Dead Hard in its current state/ungamable situations.
If you know/can demonstrate something that such players are ignorant of, it's an easy gateway into making money off the game.

Hello everyone, Huge Bush here messaging you all from my glorious hospital bed that just refuses to be comfortable for me and let me have one nights good rest. A couple of weeks ago, I can down with what I though was just some cold which morphed a week later to what I can only describe as “almost death”.
It wasn’t pretty. I couldn’t make it out of bed for more than 60 seconds. Going potty was like trying to take the One Ring to the fires of Mordor, only with Nemisis chasing me and Bubba waiting at the mouth of the volcano. It was terrible.
Im finally out of the darkness, but not out of the clear. Turns out I have/had Covid-19 that ravaged my lungs and has given me pneumonia. In order to not suffocate in my sleep, I have to keep oxygen tubing snaking through my nose and make sure these kind medical professionals keep checking on me while I sleep(if this stupid bed would let me, argh!).
Anyways, I know I’m not a big presence on the forums, I was just bored and wondered if some of you can give me the rundown on what went on in the world of my favorite game that I love to hate/hate to love. Was the event just another meh moment? Were the new cosmetics nice? Did Claudette get anything new? Are boom totems as broken as everyone was crying they were going to be? Which killer is on the current survivor nerf target?
Someone post some pics of Dbd memes (I like the one with Steve and bubba in the basement). Cat and cow pics are acceptable too.
This straight up made me cry - I am so sorry that you're struggling right now.
I'm really sorry to hear this.

I play mostly solo and find it pretty chill.
Probably escape about 60% of the time, but I usually do good/have fun, either way.
With regards to Archive challenges, I'll throw if I need to in order to complete them, regardless of whether I'm solo or not.
Most players (that I can talk to post game) don't seem to care either way, either.

@Shroompy said:
As much as I like Pixelbush, this video is mostly wrong, why you may ask?
Because all of these situations would of resulted in the survivor being exhausted on the ground last patch, all of these interactions make sense youre just not getting a hit that you didnt deserve in the first place
The only situation here that is unfair is Nemesis, if the server does reject a hit it shouldnt completely ignore a pallet
So if I ambush with Pig and it eats my ambush, forcing me into cooldown, when it would normally allow to coast through the survivor and get a hit/360 for a hit, that's fair?
Losing Victor instantly to DH is fair?

My bias is showing because I wont watch Content Creators which I dislike because they are either lying or not experienced enough? Ok I guess.
If it is like you said, it should be fixed. But as I have stated, I have not experienced it in my games (but I have only seen two validated Dead Hards so far when I was playing Killer, most DHs used against me were for distance).
Most DH are definitely used for distance, I'll agree.
It's also possible that your killer choice would render you immune, too.

Dead hard is as fair as if Noed and Rancor combined and it was no longer a hex perk.
Regardless of your feelings on the perk, it should still function as intended, first and foremost.

Nah. But if I see that said Content Creator was already lying in a Tweet OR did not understand basic mechanics of the game, I will not waste my time watching a video of said content creator.
You would not do that either.
If someone presented me with video evidence of X, I'd watch it to see if it contained video evidence of X (unless the person was known for hacking or some other extreme outlier).
Once again, your extreme bias is showing, given that other videos/users have expressed similar concerns.
Eh.

I'm fine with a perk that strong working 90% of the time yes.
It should work 100% of the time in the proper way.
It keeps the game fair and interesting for both parties.

Nah, it was linked to me. But I did not watch this guy, I have seen a Tweet where he complained about healing Builds because he did not realize that two Survivors picked up another Survivor, which resulted in the normal healing time.
So either this person way lying or did not understand what was happening. not really a good source for information, so I dont bother to watch a 12 minute video.
But since it seems to be the only source for this kind of stuff, it is probably not reliable anyway.
Ignorance is bliss.

I have not had any issues so far. Let alone that the person I quoted did not mention anything in that regards, only that DH was fine for them before the Bugfix. Which leads to the conclusion that Survivors are allowed to have bugged perks. :)

I meant exactly this, not a default m1 lunge. I was just thinking at the moment about Blight's lunge after rush, and Nurse's lunge after perfect blink on top of survivor.
I think the Nurse Blink - DH scenario is ok, as most people Dead Hard after the second blink, anyway.
Just my opinion, of course.

Ask the killers who says they have no issues with countering dead hard, there is your answer. Or ask players who dont play on pc/ps5 or xbox series and playing on low crappy consoles on how whack dead hard is. I still have my ps4 but I am on ps5 now thats when dead hard finally have use. its not about playing well am making an example how people complain on dead hard but killers like nemesis whip hitting throw windows and pallets or PP head range blood attack that goes through walls . Killers again have alot of bs perks as bs as dead yall think is. Some people are even using demo fearmonger that forces a exahust and blind effect when on your a gen, that is another counter to exhaust perks.
This still does not answer my question or validate your point.
-
@LeonxJiwoon said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2604751#Comment_2604751
can you explain to me how bs it is for nemesis to easily clap you through pallets and windows with his tentacles.
I can't, as it is an intended mechanic.
Additionally, his T1/T2 tentacle is about the same distance as a lunge - if you're hit at a pallet/window by it, you're not playing well at all, as he could have just lunged you instead of waiting for tentacle to charge + whip.
But, I notice you did not answer my question at all, and dare I say, instantly strawmanned it.

It can happen with all projectiles, although it doesn't really matter vs Plague.

I would advise you to not waste your time or breath on these killers, good killers and some I see says they dont have no issue and know how to counter dead hard, honestly its just bad killers complaining about it just like how there is a constant boon totem complaints, still waiting on new vigil/ built to last complaints and much more, they need to just remove us survivors and lets the killers kill each other.
Can you explain how to play around it eating powers and forcing cooldowns that would normally be hits/repositions/pallet breaks depending on the power, so everyone can become a good killer that doesn't complain?
-
Can you explain how it is fine to have my chainsaw hit eaten, my Ambush hit eaten (when it would continue through DH and hit normally), my Hatchet hit eaten when a survivor uses DH to body block when it should pass through and injure their friend, my Tentacle Strike eaten at a pallet forcing me into cooldown without damaging the pallet, etc?
-
Never heard or seen anyone punished for it in 4 years.
-
@CLB198 said:
No, it's currently eating hits instead of letting them pass though.
When it eats powers like Billy Saw or Pig Ambush, it's pretty busted.
