The skin might be Butterball mate
...that you can't use in the game in any capacity.

Probably time to realize that you can be slugged/camped/tunneled/looped/tea bagged/clicked/whatever behavior people hate during any match - it's a part of normal/allowable gameplay.
To answer your question - Fun is subjective.

I haven't been living under a rock or anything, I'm fully aware of how toxic tunneling is and it almost never ends well. Tunnel that Meg and bam four whole gens just popped one after the other.
But why do the killer themselves think this is a good idea? What do they think they're going to gain from this, seeing how unproductive it is?
Given that you think tunneling is a tactic reserved for new players that is both toxic and a throw, you do seem like you've been living under a rock and/or playing at low levels.

Lately I been having alot of bubba's in my game who consistently tunnel, camp and run noed an I'm wondering why is that? It's really annoying an unfun. I just want points but instead have to stay on the hook for 2 min while the randoms thrown the game away.
There is a marked increase in the usage of One Hit Down killers and perks since the introduction of Boon Totems.
Most people are hoping for an early down while someone else is blessing a totem - the time spent blessing vs an early one hit down is extremely detrimental to the remaining survivors, which further enables an easy camp kill.
People that want to play 'fair' are also gravitating towards One Hit Downs as it counters a new/popular mechanic.

######### did I just read. Now your just playing dumb. Also, I like how you didn't respond to my 1st and 3rd point, because you don't have an excuse for those.
if you actually try to say "the NFT custom skin for a $200 loot box isn't a skin in DBD, its just a PNG picture !!!1!11!1!", I will make a 10 minute YouTube video in which I explain the English language and grammar to you.
Tag me when you post the video, please.

I replied to FreshCoal above. (If you are interested in reading it.)
Yeah - They're conflating the ability to get a useless Pinhead model file with a party hat (for example) with actually having access to it in-game/it being in the game.
@unluckycombo's post was pretty clear, but all they got was a TLDR and some abuse.

Replying to 2:
The thing you marked says that some NFTs will be a special variant having an alternate costume and also these give you access to Hellraiser DBD chapter.
It says nowhere that it would give you an exclusive skin in DBD.
Read it again carefully...
So these two posts you showed me don't contradict each other.
I'm kind of pumped for your English lesson.

Did you not see that you can buy the chapter with Crypto on an NFT website and that the $200 3rd party loot box has a 0.1% chance to drop an exclusive skin?
Genuine question.
I would strongly suggest re-reading it.
It does not say that at all.
Additionally, please don't let your emotions get the better of you and post abusive replies to others.

The NFT's have nothing at all to do with any exclusive in-game content in DBD - Most people seem to think otherwise, though.

1) Steam can change its user agreement in a second. Them banning NFTs recently shows that. It's their platform, and they can do whatever they want with it. Multiple court cases have shown this, including when the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission sued Valve Software for not allowing refunds, and then Valve just changed the user agreement the next week to saying "We can deny any refunds at all times." Steam is also know for breaking its own rules, especially with the drama a couple years ago when Valve employees began jumping into VAC banned CSGO account and just deleted hundreds of thousands worth of skins. Do you have BHVR's steam contract? No, you don't, so you have no idea what can or cannot get them banned. Stop pretending like you know what their contract is.
2)

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/STD8G4XLTY85/dbd-2.png
So dead by daylight made a custom Legendary skin for the NFT website and locked it behind a $200 loot box with a 0.1% drop rate. Many people suspect that skin to be Chatterer, but the answer is, we have no idea. BHVR already lied to us, and they are 100% willing to lie again.
3) Nobody forced you to buy anything, that's a strawman argument that you made up. My point was, ADDING A $200 LOOT BOX WITH A 0.1% DROP RATE IS SUCH A DISGUSTING BUSINESS PRACTICE. If that doesn't make you angry, then you probably are just willing to take any bullshit in your life and never fight against anything. What a miserable life.
What do you think the portion that you circled means in relation to actual game content?
Genuine question.

There have been like 5 attempted boycotts of this game. Nothing will ever happen and people will try again and again.

The thing that you need to keep in mind with player count is the average amount of players per month for the whole year. Yeah the players are a bit down from the past couple months but they are up more than 10k since October 2020. We have gained that many players so the boycott is not doing anything at all.
63k atm, from what I'm seeing.

is it really that surprising
a general perk most people have that would make blue totem creation interruptions quite common wouldn't help sales very much
Real shame given that they buffed a bunch of Hex perks only to directly disincentivize running a Hex build by making them impossible to protect.
Protecting Hexes, imo, was a fair trade off as it left gens unprotected and required travel time and/or dropping chase in most cases.

Its powerful because of the surprise and can negate ANY attack. If you time it right you can get out of some dire straights. The way around it is to mind game them and let them use it too soon. Then they cant use it again until they rest for 60secs.
Dead Hard 'for distance' does not involve dodging an attack.
-
@VikingDragonXii said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2566997#Comment_2566997
The distance is not the issue with dead hard it's the fact they cant be hurt while doing it. The distance is really not the issue when you know it's in play because you can just close the gap quickly.
If the distance is not an issue, why is 'Dead Hard' for distance considered one of the most powerful plays by a majority of the community, pros and normies alike?
-
@VikingDragonXii said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2566956#Comment_2566956
Once you know Dead Hard is in play its easy....each Survivor has a tell when they use it. Play around purposely miss hits to see when they use it, so when they think your going to strike let them use it then attack.....even attack a few seconds after the animation for dead hard starts if times right you'll lunge attack and hit them as the animation finishes. Just like mind gaming them on cold wind farm on the combine loop
That doesn't effect Dead Hard 'for distance' at all.

Dead hard is so easy to mind game once you know it's in play...like Head On
Can you please elaborate on how to mind game Dead Hard 'for distance?'
You'd be doing the entire community a huge service and would stop many complaints about the lack of counter-play to Dead Hard 'for distance.'

You don’t have to feel embarrassed for anyone. There is no “desperation” here, it’s a forum for a videogame.
A videogame we’re passionate about? Sure. But at the end of the day it’s just a game.
I'm aware that I don't need to do anything, but seeing a childlike degree of obstinance evokes that feeling in me.
-
I'm feeling a lot of second hand embarrassment for several posters in this topic - the desperation is palpable.

Self-Care + Botany is a fine/valid combo.
I've seen people throw in Resilience and an Exhaustion perk for greedy/solo play.

Excellent change that is long overdue - Pretty pumped :)

I've said it before. If escaping was a requirement to "win" survivors would be less incline to go for endgame saves.
It doesn't bother me, either way, but I like the concept of there being more 'weight' behind last ditch altruistic actions.

People using DS/BT/DH to get a last second escape on Death Hook are shooting themselves in the.....
Nah, not going to go there.
Use what you want, when you want, and how you want.
Most people playing don't really care about MMR and, despite what the vocal minority thinks, can take a loss on either side, knowing that the game will still exist regardless of whether they win or lose.
Paradoxically, NOED may become even more meta for killers that perform well after the next update, but I don't know if many people will pick up on the reasoning immediately.

Stay tuned for Kobe at 6

IW is consistently in the top 5 survivor perks used on several perk tracking sites.
It's an excellent perk that is cemented in the current meta.
Its recent buff (really a rework of sound calculation) doesn't bother me, but I wish they'd let some of the obscure add-ons (like Freddy's) override it.

Why. Would. Anyone. Try. To. Increase. Their. MMR?
Everyone keeps saying "there's no incentive to play fair because you can increase your MMR by playing cheap for easy kills/escapes."
But increasing your MMR does nothing for you!
You're all insane.
I just play the game and do my dailies/ tome challenges as they become available.

You cannot escape a killer's chase unless he's really new to the game or some bs map rng.
