I've never understood why people take this game so seriously. If it's not fun for you, don't play it.
-
Yeah, I DC a lot! Because I bluescreen. I feel so awful when it happens and it's so triggering whenever I'm having a good match but it is what it is.

Do the Breakable Wall techs still works?
I had hoped they had kept the bugs... At least the ones where you ignore collision. For example sitting inside a survivor doing a gen or opening a chest.
I think actually pushing people went a little too far. But I think ignoring collision was and is really fun. Especially since it is only 10 seconds, after cleansing a totem.
It also fixed survivors bodyblocking other survivors... which ACTUALLY helped me 2 times while it worked....
I know that you can go through the killer when they're vaulting or picking up, I haven't tested the rest though. Breakable Wall techs still probably do work as they're an action.

Yeah and I understand why. I gave him a go today and it felt like I was playing The Grandpa

Clairvoyance, I live for those window techs

When you have Rancor and the survivor just hides and then gets out.
Good

I’m actually enjoying what people are saying, because everyone is making fair points and being civil I’m actually loving this thread.
Also “Needs help” can be buffs or maybe you can give advice on how YOU think the Killer should act. It’s just a discussion with no true wrong answers. :)
Yes of course!

He's extremely annoying in Solo Queue but extremely underpowered in a full SWF.
-
YES! It's been driving me crazy!

I will happily say delete Noed/Rancor if it means we get to also delete dead hard
100% I'd do that too

By "need help" do you mean a buff? I don't think every killer deserves a buff beside Nurse and Blight. Spirit is still extremely powerful, she is able to traverse from one side of the map to the other in less than 10 seconds. Huntress has busted add-ons (looking at you Iri Head) that let her get downs and pressure from a mile away. I could go on. Yeah, I do agree that a lot of Killers need quality of life adjustments, but not full on buffs.
One Killer that I think completely need a buff/rework is Legion. Their power is just game slowdown and useful when paired with Thanatophobia, that's about it. Strong survivors won't even heal, and a lot of them even benefit from being injured (looking at you Dead Hard).
Another killer, The Pig. She's 100% RNG. I wouldn't touch her beartraps, but I do think that she should get her crouch speed increased, that means going into crouch and out of it, aswell as movement speed. No one even uses the crouch mechanic because of how it feels like a slow death as you tiptoe around the map while gens are popping left and right.
I defend a lot of survivor mechanics, and I get attacked for it, but I'll do the same for killer. I could go on with a BUNCH of killers that need a buff, but I'm sure you're already bored reading this lol

The usage of Dead Hard you're describing is its weakest use.
It can be used for distance to get to a pallet/window and extend a loop when you're not even within striking range, tacking on 30s+ to a chase with an action that is generally uncounterable.
If the people you play aren't using it to extend loops, they're not very good.
Eh, fair enough. Exclude the third paragraph, you're right. But I still stand by the other 3.
-
But apparently it was fine when we were getting hit straight through it.
EDIT: And if you really want to fix all of the broken perks within the game, how about NOED or Rancor? But no, because that benefits you.
Once a survivor uses Dead Hard all you have to do is just get real close to them. I play my fair share of killer (while admittedly I enjoy survivor more) and once I learn someone has Dead Hard, they just looks like an idiot using it again. I don't fall for any of the mindgames and just either wait 'till I see them use it or get real close to them before hitting.
People act like killers can't just completely remove someone from a game if they wanted to. Especially Bubba, and there's nothing they can do about it. If you're getting facecamped by Bubba you're dead. So why can't survivors have a dash?
-
Doctors are absolute pure evil and just make me want to uninstall the game, most of them anyway. And the vast majority of them that run Frosty Eyes, just a double whammy. There's also 99% chance that they'll run NOED.
Most Megs will go down within 2 seconds of a chase, but then the other half of Megs are absolutely cracked and will run the killer and flashlight click them for 5 gens.
Most Ghostfaces that I've played against are absolute pure evil as well because they take advantage of the fact that they can teabag and do everything with it that they can. (No offence to OP! I'm sure you're lovely).

Barbeque And Chili (can't play Killer without it, don't know how I survived before)
Ruin
Pop Goes The Weasel
Devour Hope
Corrupt Intervention
Thrilling Tremors
Discordance/Tinkerer (depends on how I'm feeling)
-
Yes! I've always noticed this, and I've always been like "Oh! This is probably the hatch!". Nice to know that it has been the hatch and not just a random wood plank bug lol.
-
Unless on that rare chance when you end up with absolutely cracked teammates. Then it's a blast.
-
It depends if they do it on purpose. I do understand why people do it, but it's still annoying either way. Especially when I have Deliverance or even a flashlight to save them with if they went down anyway.
-
No, absolutely not. Even as someone who plays equally Killer and Survivor, and even as someone who catches themselves going "Damn, if I had NOED right now that'd be so good" when getting genrushed by a 4-man. But I never use NOED anymore because it completely removes the learning curve of balancing gen pressure and chases. It's something I'm getting a lot better at. Using Pop, Ruin-Undying, Brutal Strength. Helps a lot.
Whenever I use NOED as killer it just feels dirty because I know how it feels as survivor. Whether you got "genrushed" or not, they still worked together to coordinate and do the generators, just for them to die at the last moment and get sometimes camped on hook with all of their teammates leaving because they don't want to get downed. It doesn't even help. It's just scummy. It doesn't add anything towards your pip progress because unless you get a good amount of gen-pressure and hooks in, you won't pip and you won't get max Bloodpoints.
All it does is piss people off. I only ever use NOED when I'm purposefully letting survivors do generators so I can try to pull a funny Blood Warden play or a funny Insidious play. I understand stuff like that, but being a terrible killer all game, having a survivor run you for 5 gens only for them to get hit due to unluckiness of being in a dead zone, then just dying. It sucks.
A rework that I'd suggest was getting a token each time you hook a different survivor up to 4 tokens, a bit like No Way Out, extends the duration of the Exposed status effect. A bit like Haunted Grounds, but with the ability to last much longer. Or whoever you've hooked at least once is Exposed.
But yeah, don't take it like I'm an entitled survivor main. I'm green - pushing purple ranks survivors and I'm the exact same on Killer.
-
For killer: I shift around a lot, Huntress, Legion, Nurse, Pig, Ghostface, Twins. Anyone really. I don't really main a specific character but there are ones that I absolutely do not play, like Billy, Clown or Doctor.
My favourites at the moment have to be Huntress and Trapper though, hitting a shot or hearing a survivor step in your trap is the most satisfying thing as killer.
For Survivor: Mostly Feng and Nancy. I started maining Nancy because Stranger Things is what introduced me to the game. I absolutely love that show, especially with Stranger Things leaving in November, I splashed out on a bunch of cosmetics for Nancy and Steve.
For Feng it's mostly her cosmetics that sell it to me. I might play Nea when I'm feeling confident and I mained Laurie for 2 days. I'm not good enough for Object of Obsession lol
