  • Quite a strong thread for someone who insults and cries on the ingame chat

  • So

you can't compare tunneling and camping to doing gens, doing gens helps you complete the objective meanwhile camping/tunneling can be punished by survivors you just screw over 1 or 2 unlucky survivors

So shouldn't we complain about genrush? There is no counter to it, while camping can be punished.

    One universal counter - genrush

  • Don't you tunnel generators?

Am I supposed to believe you finish the gen up to 30%, then move to an unfinished one?

  • Sure, but with sensitivity sufficent to achieve the effect of Q and E you would be unable to move while not using chainsaw, because moving your mouse by 10mm would end in turning your character by 180 degrees.

  • @Orion said:

So if you just move your mouse very quickly, it won't have the same effect? What about using a joystick, like someone else mentioned?

I don't think it is that easy to just use mouse to do it, because you would need to literally move your mouse by 1m to achieve the effect of using Q and E. With joystick, though, it is better - you can move with it like with mouse (softly steer), or like with Q and E (maximum curve).

  • @Orion said:

I don't get it, what does this do?

You can get maximum curve when using Q and E to steer, instead of mouse.

Do you really like how legacy looks like? I am probably the only one not liking it.

Old legacy was quite nice, this new one looks bad.

  • Report that disgusting weeb. Sadly, most of the survivors behave like that, you need to get used to it and report them ingame. Sometimes you can politely bait them to insult you more, so their chances to get banned increase.

  • Hag or wait for the Plague.

Hag because she is one of the best killers in the game (if played right) and has Ruin, which is probably a must have for most of the killers. Also Devour is a pretty fun perk.

Plague because she has some nice perks too and the killer is fun to play as, maybe not strong, but fun.

they ######### up and translated "Butterfly" with the animal instead of the knife xD

In my language they translated "Game" from the perk "Small Game" to "play". This is horrific, that's why I play almost every game in English.

This is what I mean. At first I thought he was cherry-picking videos but he has a fair few now so perhaps not.

Still the survivors I get are nowhere near like what he gets. They're either immediately on strong loops or they're the most immersed Claudettes you've ever (not) seen.

He is cherry picking, though. On every 10 matches on the stream, he chooses like 2-3 that make him look good and makes a video of it. That's why his YT account has almost all 3k-4k games And that's not a bad thing. To see the truth you need to watch the stream.

    1. Around 30-40s I think, wasn't counting.
    2. 20s
    3. It is quite a small percentage
    4. 2 of them. First - you only puke, second - you gain "Broken" status, infect objects and become injured.
    5. Vile purge is infinite, and Corrupt Purge stays for like 10-20s when unused
    6. Answered in 5
    7. 7 I think. When all are corrupted... They reset.
  • Thank god, now I don't need to tryhard at deranking to bully newbie survivors.

  • My thoughts exactly.

I think they release intentionally weak killers, just to buff them a little after the PTB, so they can say: "See? We listen to you, don't say X killer is weak!" so the one side of the community can live in a false state of mind that their opinion really matters and the killers are "balanced", and the other side can play against fairly weak killers, while still having something to ######### about (toxicity runs this game, honestly).

Yes, that is something we can totally agree on.

Listen, I don't want the perk changed, I can handle it, I have no problems with it being part of the gameplay. I just don't want the devs to listen to these killers, since clearly they don't know what they're talking about.

Oh boy, but YOU are the man, who knows what he is talking about? Please!

  • I wonder if the sickness stays after the survivor is hooked. Will it disappear after unhooking, or will the survivor stay infected? Will the rescuer get sick after rescuing infected survivor? Will infected survivors infect gens/vaults etc? Is vomiting on objects (like totems/gens) infecting them permamently, while vomiting on walls/paths will infect them for a limited time?

  • Yeah, exactly how you called me

Not aknowledging there was a Steam forum before this newborn platform. Hm.

Do you need something to giggle your ego, or what? I did nothing to you, but you are trying hard to get on my ass

  • Bold words, for a "forum newbie"

  • I was talking about power - if the timer is long, then there will be no point in healing/healing quickly.

They forgot to mention this in the stream.

Oh boy, Legion v2 incoming, and I have thought she will be fine...

Depends how much time it needs to get fully sick. If it is like 2 minutes then hye bye Plague. They will just wait to 1:50 and drink to slow her. Plus I wonder if 2 survivors can heal in one fountain and how much fountains there are.

  • It is bugged since like 2-3 patches now

Yeah, we have seen what is going to happen but we don't know what it will actually do.

What do you guys think about the new perks. Honestly, I love the new locker perk, but I can't speak for the rest of the perks.

Killer's first 2 perks are mediocre at best, and her third perk (blocking 3 gens for X time at the start of the match) is gonna be trash, I think.

Syrvivor's perk with healing sounds kinda broken, the scratchmark perk seems weak and the locker one is OK I think.

  • Yeah, me too. And how the killer can get stronger over time?

  • 2 hours and 18 minutes from now, I think

  • @Raptorrotas said:

Actually from experience, the killers dont really need to coordinate. While it might be helpful to know if the other one gets overrun by a squad. Theres not really much to say to each other.

Both patrol gens seperately, both chase survivors seperately, ganging up on a single surv is dumb and doesnt work well enough especially with the afterhit speed that disconnects attacks anyways. Additionally i doubt the devs would add coop score events for the killers.

Well, it is not all about coordination, but rather to be able to laugh together with your friend and have fun. Not only survivors should be able to play with their friends together.

  • Nurse could use it too

Because of the same old "muh balance" tired argument. The game is not balanced for SWF in the first place but once killers could suddenly work together coordinated oh boy, ppl are up in arms about that thought. Hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy is the thing I hate the most in people, to be honest.

    And you are right.

SWF is fine in their eyes, because "hehe, voice comms are not that much, not everybody plays like the depip squad ;=====DDDD", but when we want Kill With Friends Mode they scream it would be too much for killers to coordinate.

And they could not bully one, R18 killer with 1 smurf R20 Claudette and 3 R1 Claudettes.

  • I just started playing her and I already get 3 or 4k more consistently, I don't even slug.

    Wait 'til you play Nurse

  • @Raptorrotas said:

Ive mentioned it multiple times in the forum, Identity V has a 2v8 mode running just fine.

The lobby for that mode allows killers to creste a duo before cresting the lobby, survivors can join in any number between 1 and 8. Killers have access to some predetermined messages/orders/warnings (protect gens, well done, too many here), durvs have those in default mode in IDV.

Theres only 2 maps in the 2v8 rotation atm and theyre big, and 2 basements spawn.

11 generators spawn and 7 need to be done to activate 2 exit doors. Not too sure about hatch rules.

Killers cannot use the same killer. Im not too sure how your currently selected killer affects matchmaking lol.

Survivors have a 30% repair speed penalty applied at all times. They also take 3 hits to down, only full health counts as noninjured and oneshots only deal 2 states of damage. (This works better in IDV than DbD because you oneshot instead of grabbing survivors when interrupting any action.) (Also not sure how healing affects this)

Hooked survivors cannot be rescued for 30 seconds. (Im not sure if that counts for the sacrifice timer but i doubt it) ("one camps other hunts" DOESNT WORK in IDV because of this.)

Survivors can carry 2 items. There are 3 shops on the map which allow survivors to buy items while killers purchase upgrades. (50% attack recovery, 50%ability cdr, 15% sacrifice speed and i think 4-8% movement speed) its worth noting that there are more items in IDV than in DbD, some actually brokenly good one one of the 2v8 maps.

Well i guesd thats themost of the changes.

From my own experience in that gamemode, killers lose if they stay together too much (but we know this from survs in dbd too) or camp the hooks.

I might add that this is more of a new gamempde than a solution to swf because ... well its a ne gamemode and there still can ne randoms and swf.

    Yeah, exactly this.

Identity V has this mode and it's working like a charm, I see no reason not to implement it here.

You want to play on haddonfeild as killer? God save your soul

I would take Haddonfiels over Farm all the time, honestly. Not that I like Haddonfield, but there are worse maps, like the 3 original realms.

in Map RNG fix Comment by RSB
  • It is a common issue, that Coldwind maps and the rest of the original ones are the most common, almost all of my games are Coldwind, with the exception of seasonal Swamp and Pallet Heaven.

    Let's end this, people!

  • New chapter teaser and PTB with new characters.

  • Only farms and swamps here too, wonder if they'd do something about it, I ######### hate those maps.

  • @MhhBurgers said:

8v2 works in identity where killers have much more complex and powerful abilities

And it could work here as well, would be really fun to be able to play with your buddy as 2 killers.

  • Sure they could, but mind that when the 2 killers are chasing one survivor, tve rest are rushing gens. So instead of keeping 2 survivors busy, they keep only one.

  • Yeah, all I want is some 12-year olds reeing and screaming at me with their high pitched voices. Telling me to kill myself would be so hilarious then

  • Months have passed and we still don't have Russian Dovakhiin as a playable character, what a shame...

  • @se05239 said:

They'd need to improve the textures of their faces if they want to show them. They're very bland and simple, with massive foreheads.

Yeah, they have massive foreheads, and this is no lie.

I really like this concep,t but I do have a few critiques about it.

I love the concept of blending in with other survivors with a Mimic like creature. The use of glasses and a mustache I don't dig because it isn't scary in any way. The killer should at least we a scary concept, and wearing a beaglepuss isn't scary. Maybe they could have different colored eyes/all black eyes, or maybe their face goes into a creepy altered form, or twisted like the Cenobites in hellraiser, you know?

Maybe it could be good, but the beaglepuss doesn't sound like it'll hold that spooky aspect. They need something creepier.

I like the power and ability region, but i wish the killer could crouch, I feel like that would be a nice tactic to mind play with survivors. It would be cool if it could "pretend" to do the generator while reducing the speed of it without telling the survivors. They would have to look at the slow speed, recognize it's taking a while and see no debuffs are present.

Maybe they could extend the length a box opens if they interact with it? Maybe it so hex totems have a buff if they "work" on one. There are so many cool powers this killer could have to not only downright down them, but also have these neat abilities to mess with the survivor while they wonder what's going on.

I love the idea of a Run Burst perk, though I do think it has the potential to be too strong when wanting to play survivor. But I think it's really cool as a concept.

Borrowed Time is also a cool one, I've always liked the idea of extending the life of your hex and have it jump around, This would be an awesome perk to finally have.

Decisive Hit sounds more like the killers power, i'll have to mull this one over because i feel it's a little overpowered as a perk. I'd rather see this one tied into the killers power and called "Backstabber" or something. then give the killer a perk on top of it. Since this killers power is so stealth based and not damage based at all I think it should incorporate a token system that give it one hit downs with stealth attacks. It'll give them to play modes to jump between depending on how they like it. It needs that offensive edge anyway.

I'm not sure what the third perk could be in place of it. I am looking forward to seeing how close this resembles the killer they are going to release.

I'm sure you WILL be scared as heck, when you see glasses and mustache on THIS sexy Doppel boy

Nope, but this change made me take a break from DbD up to v1.8.

It was, probably, one of those changes nobody ever wanted and needed, but they still did it, like breaking up the sounds in game, or getting rid of a way better graphic shaders from the beta

do you have a link to where i can find what beta graphics looked like?

I can't search for it right now, but when you search for it, you will definetly recognise it, even the pallets looked a lot better.
